Sekiryuu Minasoko, Proclaimed Juunidaime Mizukage.

Sekiryuu Minasoko lead the D.E.A.T.H. revolt in the Kirigakure Civil War in attempts to secure his name as Mizukage since one had been crowned in five years since the presumed death of Sei Ryu. Minasoko sought to control the Sanbi in efforts to achieve his goal. He was a troubled man, to be sure, but his convictions were strong. As a clanless, poor child he walked as the scum of the earth and built his name from scratch. As such, he was often called the "King of the Dhalit", fighting for the poor man, the down trodden and helpless man. His hate for the world festered, yet he always had hope in some future. Minasoko was able to use water ninjutsu to such an extent, he could regenerate himself, use water without seals and utilize liquid steel to form weapons. He was killed by Hisame Haruyuki

Biography

Not every man is created equal. There are men born into wealth, into prestige. There are men born with ancestors to gain glory and respect from. There are men born with no need to worry on where they need to eat. Sekiryuu Minasoko was not one of those men. He was born at the bottom of the barrel to someone whom was already at the bottom of the barrel. His mother was whore, and his father was a man whom he had about as much chance of knowing as he did the dead gods. Yes, his mother was a whore, not even a proper courtesan or valued prostitute, his mother was a woman who lived on scraps and the kindness of scum in dirty port pubs within Avalon and Kirigakure no Sato. She was abused, and she had little self-confidence. So when it came to her warbling, whining baby who needed so much she could not give, she abused, she instilled little self-confidence. Moving from pub to pub, moving from shanty to shanty, she was a vagrant of the most extreme senses, following her next meal or her next 'good night'. And the lack of stability stole away her child's youth, he followed his mother until he was five years old, and she turned him out. "I can't handle you anymore! You're always hungry! You always want attention! You always want to make me pay attention you instead of my boyfriends!” Words which would crush a lesser child, a child which was born into comfort. He stood his ground, he did not leave. And so she beat him into an inch of his life, she beat him to his last lumbering breath. The rustle of robes and of kunai, of calls to check what was going on, they came from nearby, and that coward harlot which had birthed him into the world, she left Minasoko in the ditch, bleeding, dying for the first time of many in his life.

It was the only gift in his life she gave to him. The Kirigakure Police force which had heard the sounds stopped over the child, the medi-nin among the duo went to work, she stabilized the boy with much work. She asked him what happened, and he only mumbled incoherent sentences. He didn't understand Imperial Common, his mother had never given him enough attention as she tucked him away in corners and made him hide under piers. She had never given him the gift of words. Because they could not hear his story, they could not return him to his mother, they could not even know she had left him on purpose. So he became orphan #1347, and he gained a stable home, an orphanage five blocks from the Kirigakure no Sato Academy.

His speech came quick amongst others, amongst the strictness and kindness which he was given in that orphanage, and within no time he knew what path he wanted to follow. He wanted to become a Police Force Ninja, he wanted to become a great shinobi-nin like the people who had put him in this wonderful place. He wanted to endure the pain in this world which his mother couldn't, and his mother wanted him to think he couldn't. And he wanted a name, a name more than anything else. If Kirigakure no Sato was going to protect him and coddle him, he would pay it back. In one day, he approached the Mizukage himself, sneaking into the offices and standing directly in front of the Water Shadow. In fierce, courageous words he called out, he challenged.

"Hey you! Yeah, you! Mizukage-sama! I want to be a ninja! I want to be in the academy! I want to be strong like you!”

"Okay, son. I like your style, you showed bravery when you came in here. Where're your parents and what's your name?”

The now seven year old Kirigakuran Orphan tried to look as brave as he could, as prideful as he could. He dug deep for the words, and then he answered.

"My mother never wanted me, I've been an orphan for 2 years... and they call me Orphan #1347 when I'm in trouble, Ichisa Yonshi otherwise...”

The Mizukage called for the kid's file, and there Minasoko gained his true name, after the Mizukage read him, looked at those pomegranate-plum cheeks of the boy from too make squabbles. There was silence, and the Mizukage filled out a few forms, before getting up from his chair. A stoop next to the seven year old, and taking the pen to the paper, the child holding the paper and the older shinobi writing gently with the child, making sure he noticed the strokes, the subtleties of it. When it was over, the Mizukage simply ruffled the kid's hair, and stuck his hand out for Minasoko to shake. He gave the child the third gift of his life, his name.

"I'm glad to have you in my organization, young man. You start the Kirigakure Academy tomorrow, promptly at 6. Be ready to learn, I'll be watching your progress...”

The older man chuckled, nodding towards the boy with a smile, his eyes narrowing.

"I'm sure you'll be a great shinobi-nin, young Sekiryuu Minasoko. May your growth be as quick as the tasty pomegranate, may your studies bring you above your history.”

Hand seals later, and the child was sent from the room with his brand new ID card, a single kunai, and a pomegranate. It was a beginning of a shift. Not every man is created equal.

So Minasoko grew without tire. Despite not having any bloodline to help him, Minasoko quickly became one of the most powerful within the Bloody Mists. He worked day in and day out, but since he didn't have a family he continued to live on the streets with other urchins. He met a boy named Shael and became quick friends with him. Minasoko began early works in experiments in order to understand the mind and body so much that when Shael's organs started to shut down, Minasoko devised an antidote. the antidote would require Shael to continue to feed on blood and absorb its DNA, but he would be kept alive.

Under Sei Ryu, Minasoko became a head captain of D.E.A.T.H. and served the Mizukage proudly. When Kumogakure invaded, Minasoko went into hiding with Sei Ryu and worked with him to make little strikes against the NCIA. With Sei Ryu's death, Minasoko called all of D.E.A.T.H. under his wing. together they would wait for the NCIA to falter and then they would retake Kirigakure and he would ascend to the title of Mizukage.
