Hyuuga Yatako; Volume I
- Prologue
He had cursed the fact of family division. As a child, he never questioned why the brand of a mark was seared on his forehead symbolizing a caged bird. At the innocent age of five he had discovered the predominant meaning of it. The day that his cousin, Hyuuga Takumi had escorted him to the clan head's office in order that he would become familiar with the grounds as he got older, he had realized the cold fact that he would be looked down upon. He had traveled into the clan head's office when Aoudachi ordered Yatako to stop rustling with important document papers on his desk, Yatako simply did not listen. Due to that stubbornness, Aoudachi placed his index finger onto Yatako's head and sent a small trace of chakra into the branded mark. It was a punishment that was inflicted to a branch member who did not follow the way of the head member's wish. There was a secretive technique that was singular to the head of the clan. The philosophy was so that the power to control the branch would not be misused. Immediately, the curse seal began to burn and Yatako screamed in confusion and agony, as this new traumatizing experience was sudden and uncalled for in his eyes. After that, his life goal was to find a way to remove the curse seal from his forehead and flutter free. If he would fail in that, his backup tactic would be to try to manipulate it, to his advantage. Though as time faded onward, that plan had faded along with it. As he was accepted more as a person, not as a branded.
Yatako was of the Branch side of the family and because of that, did not live at the forge with his cousin and his uncle who were around more than his parents. He lived with his mother and father, Keiko and Mazuki, and his younger brother Tsunmari or Tsun for short; they lived in the Branch section of the Estates. His father was Takumi's mother's brother. The reason he was part of the Branch and not the head, had to do with their parents. Their mother was divorced and their father found a woman after his heart on the Branch side. His love blinded him from the boundaries and Yatako's father was born and the rest played out to the present. Yatako's grandfather was part of the Head side and so was his first wife. Meaning, Takumi's parents were both of the Head side and he was also part of the Head family, but he did not neglect Yatako for being of the Branch side of the family. Takumi was just happy to have a cousin as, he did not have a brother, and he did not care about the ‘family differences' that other Hyuuga's lived by. Tsunmari had rarely been home, since his scholarly duties with his parents studying in the ways of the medic ninja, to make their entire vocabulary vernacular to his own. People normally didn't share their opinions to this mixed family out loud, although, certain gestures or tone of voices suggested their feelings when ordering from the forge.
Yatako had chosen the path of the warrior over the path of the medic in the Hyuuga clan. He wished to do this, for one, he idolized his Cousin as a hero to him. His father was off on missions or on other shinobi tasks, while his cousin remained in the Estates. That being the case, Yatako had learned the warrior way off Takumi. In between training, Takumi rambled stories about his own father and how this reminded him of his childhood days. Yatako enjoyed this time with his cousin. Yatako was determined to show the head family that the warriors and medics of the branch were just as important to the clan as they were. He optimistically dreamed of the Hyuuga family being whole and not the current way. He did know that it was close to impossible but a child can always dream! He hated being looked upon as a lesser person in his own family, the thought of having himself not being as "pure” as another made him angry but he said to himself that he is not angry at the people involved or that would make him no better, but rather, he is angry at the idea as a whole. He thought that if he became strong enough, it wouldn't matter which side he would be on anymore.
While training with his Cousin, Yatako learned that he was poor at controlling his chakra in forming it into an attack outside of his body. On some occasions it fell apart or didn't even work to begin with. When he uses a fair amount of chakra that works it back fires on him causing him to be hurt but the technique is successful in staying together. Takumi had taught Yatako to wait until his opponent makes a move first in order to discover their strategy, then he can work to mess up their strategy and insure victory.
At his current age, he realized that if it did continue like this, a civil feud would certainly break out, and he did not wish to have scarce numbers of family members like the Uchiha clan. He concluded in his time of reflection on this matter, that he needed to show respect, not hate to any ninja of the Head branch that he meets on his journey, or it would be pointless to try and fix things. He would need to treat all Hyuuga's the same or it would be like locking horns with yourself, nothing would get done. By immersing himself in his family, eventually little things will be pointless to argue about and unity and peace imbed itself into the estates of the Hyuuga and it will bring out the true potential of the clan. Ah, the dreams of an optimistic child!
When the village hidden in the Clouds, named Kumo came to Konoha, the estates were put into lockdown. Only the warriors could leave including Takumi. Yatako was not a ninja two years ago when the war happened and was forced to stay within the Hyuuga Estates. Luckily, Kumo did not harm people who were not ninjas so Yatako was not bothered. Yet still today, the ninja from Kumo are still keeping patrol in Konoha and order that all new ninja be sent to Kumo for training in the academy. Yatako felt that his first step to show the Main branch that he is just as equal to them, would be to find a rebellious group in Konoha, join them and try to take back the village from the Cloud. He also wanted to show his cousin that he would help Konoha just like he did and to show the village the pride of the great Hyuuga clan.
- Chapter 1; The Raven that Flew from the Nest
On a tip from the hushed words if select trusted locals; the Hyuuga set of on his whimsical way to find the hidden Hokage who remained concealed with various leaders of the old counsel of Konoha, Upon his arrival in the cave; via the Forest of Death pathway; Yatako was inconclusive as the Hokage was not present. Days later; Yatako appeared at the foot of the Hokage's tower and sought out the Hokage of old. From a blur, Yatako recounted that what followed in those events are hazy at best; as he found himself allocated in to a resistance group along with two other Gennin and a shinobi teacher as their Jounin.
- Chapter 2; Destiny Had Other Plans For his Child
The bright morning that he set out to achieve the minor goal in the world; one that would do little for the greater of the world; he donned on him a smile to the world who; from his birth, sent a frown his way. All would be changed for the Divine spirit would shape his destiny for the greater; the Raven had yet to find himself in his angst and paradox. He appointment for that day was revisiting the Forest of Konoha in hopes to greet his new team; his arrival was all too short of his expectations. The Jounin there served to be a silent man indeed and with the other two shinobi absent and tardy; nothing progressed. Yatako recalled in his wait to what happened prior to this date; he had received a message from this man and decoded it with the use of his Byakugan. When he was to set out for this place; Takumi instilled his diary of sorts; his memoirs of shinobihood; to which would shape Yatako in his Genninhood. This man of the name of Hantou; had sent Yatako another letter; in silence in the forest, depicting that he needed to go deeper to find what destiny had in store for him.
- Chapter 3; The Demonic Angel Appears
As he fought his way through the bush and thicket of the deep forest; Yatako's eyes caught sight of many shinobi lined up and scattered to which way they preferred; some knew each other, even another Hyuuga was in their presence. Yatako was silent as he placed himself near this enigmas Hyuuga to which would shape his entire future; but he was not to know this until the man that had called them here; lead them far away and back again. He spoke in a mysterious tone claiming to murder many Kumo operatives in the thousands; all with one technique. He placed an ultimatum upon their shoulders that day; to follow him without question to the Hospital and continue to eventually freeing Konoha through an untold tactic; or to slip back in to nothingness and become no-ones awaiting for the day that they would return. The former was the most dangerous; and the path that Yatako had conformed to. By his leave with magnificent ravenous wings sprouting from his back; the new Hokage had flown from the forest as foreign shinobi sprung to action; preventing their leave.
- Chapter 4; The Remedy for Oppression
Yatako scurried about getting back through the brush and the thicket, the bushes, the grass and the trees; not letting go of the sight of the feminine Hyuuga that he gave chase to in hopes for a formal friendship and a bond of strength. As he was slowed by the soldiers that came at him; he made his way out of the forests and through the streets to the hospital; he awaited the others atop a tree stationed in the yard of the hospital. As the others from the forest poured in with disguises attached. What followed in the next; consisted of talking and greetings as others showed up in the muse that this was only a trip to the country of fang. The tour leader was indeed their Hokage named Chouzou yet he showed no resemblance to the man that they had met in the forest; another disguise. Yatako had noticed that the lot of the group were attracted to Azumi; the other Hyuuga, Yatako included. People ventured to her in attempts for idle chats and untold flirts. As time rolled on; Yatako became acquainted with Takumi's old friend; Nara Gensai. Uchiha Haruki was the Jounin in charge of Azumi, Gensai and some others at the time; Yatako familiarized himself with Haruki in hopes that he would be accepted in to their group. When they left, along the road the non-shinobi were dropped off with an NCIA operative to guide them actually to the country of Fang; the resistance band was heading elsewhere. On their first nights break; Yatako became acquainted with another Hyuuga; a warrior by the name of Kokeshi. From that point until the rest of time; those three would be intertwined as Yatako started to come out of his shell and how those two would influence him for the rest of his days.
- Chapter 5; Trail of the Crashing Waves
Upon their arrival to the shores of the Eastern Ocean; they were greeted with the utmost disheartening welcome that Yatako had experienced. As they had came across sand dunes and wavering sands; when the dirt converted in to sand; they had sight of a navy of Kumo soldiers waiting on the beaches and out in the oceans while preparing for battle. Chouzou had reacted quickly as if he knew to what was about to happen; the NCIA began their assault on the beach. Chouzou unsheathed a katana of the norm; nothing of special proportions as to show his great might in the eyes of the Gennin accompanied by Haruki; at least eighty percent of the army that stood on the shores were sentenced to their sandy grave instantly; the rest were ordered to be extinguished from existence by Chouzou. The three Hyuuga rushed in to battle as their lives were bound together; all had come out alive at the time of the setting sun over the glimmering waters washing the shores of the crimson stain.
- Chapter 6; The Last Break For The Whole
The proceedings of the day continued after licking wounds and tending to emotions; training followed in to the next in line. In the mind of Yatako; he knew himself to be weak, strength was needed to keep up with the fortitude of Azumi. Yatako's day had consisted of relentless training within a breath of the next; which paid off in enormous proportions. After Yatako and Kokeshi had sparred with Gensai; Gensai and Yatako went off to their own training in their reminiscing for Takumi. At the end of their training; Gensai had assured Yatako that he was indeed trained by Takumi, even surpassed him from the last time Gensai had fought against him. The Raven of the Hyuuga was lifted in his spirits to hear such praise bestowed for him. Yatako's training then shifted to an elemental learning; mostly derived for the knowledge of expanding Ninjutsu; Yatako was determined to use it to his own advantage; Taijutsu. His element was shifted to the Earth by the Divine Spirit which Yatako would soon know to be watching over him and he would grow quite fond to Him. Yatako had manipulated the element so that it would infuse with his own ways and it had; he was able to decrease the amount of physical damage that he was devastated by. After he had mastered the element and learned from two of the Taijutsu styles that inhabited the world; Tiger and Lighting strike; he found himself being introduced to one of his closest friends; Shin. From that point; the two trained on multiple occasions, each bringing Yatako closer and closer to a new power that was awakening to him; being a Chuunin in power. Azumi then stepped in to the picture and they planned to have a long talk and training in the Hyuuga ways; if only that were to happen, but they were called out as the night fell. During that night; the shinobi gathered around Chouzou as he acted playfully and their relaxation as a group of this would be their last, but they hadn't known this. Chouzou had proclaimed an important lesson that evening: Laughter destroys Stress. It had been true; the destination of the morning was to take a shuttle boat to the Unknown Ruins.
- Chapter 7; Seven; The Number of Completion; Trial One
When the group had arrived in the Ruins; the first trial was to unlock the gate to enter. The three digit code; it was assigned to the shinobi to enter; what they would encounter would be beyond their understanding to the mortal realm that Yatako had seen or knew about in his lifetime. Yatako had simply guessed by setting all of the dials to Zero; Haruki to ‘666' as in the number of man; also to the Beast. Haruki tried again setting them to ‘777' Seven being the number of completion; the door had unlocked giving way to the insides to the cavern. Yatako entered in to the cave and felt depression overcome his mind and time slow down; he was fighting with himself. When he finally came over it; it was due to the help of Azumi and Kokeshi along with his other friends. When he hurried along; he learned that Arashi, Shin and Haruki had fell in to a deeper part of the ruin; they would be reunited with us later, but they were in store for a rougher path, indeed. Yatako would not be informed to what they encountered only until after the events unfolded. The group had arrived at the second trail; a lady in a mirror and mask asked them "What is thy fear?” Yatako's response was losing his friends; his fear would be realized, fulfilled and yet; he would live on stronger.
- Chapter 8; The Maze of Lost Souls; Trial Two
When their access had been granted to the next trial; Yatako was on top a transparent floor with psychedelic colors flowing through; when he was dropped, he fell to a maze of sorts; with a temple located at the middle; his destination. When he had landed; he arose himself and began going through the various passages to make it to the middle; during the time, he had found himself getting injected by an invisible of poison that sucked at his life until he had made it to the end; but the end was a wall; a dead end. He prayed and a voice had come to him; the woman's. "What is thy desire?” was the question this time; he replied that he wanted to free Konoha and unite his family; he could not die yet. An in a flash, he was transported to the inside wall and found Azumi waiting there; Gensai had arrive just after Yatako had.
- Chapter 9; The Glass Temple; Azumi's Final Breath
After a brief rest; they had gone in to the temple with Chouzou; but to Yatako, it looked more like a laboratory than a temple. Everything was strewn in ruins; he saw a glass containment vial. It looked as if it contained a monster of something of great power. Their objective here was to find the panels used to operate the elevator; Yatako had checked in the books and behind the bookshelf but nothing was there. When they had found their way, they entered their way down; their decent; after noticing their group was dwindling. Haruki, Arashi and Shin had come back but Kokeshi had disappeared, it was left to Azumi and Yatako.
- Chapter 10; The Door Of Tomorrow; Lies & Truths; Trail Three
When the elevator halted at the ground floor; Yatako saw the inside of the cave once again and gave the last glace of Azumi that he would see except for her in his memories. Two brothers were in wait for the group as their game had unfolded. They had a choice and a clue; the clue: One brother lied, one told the truth. One sole question was asked by each person on their turn; one door was selected; one for life, one for death. Yatako was first up; after his carefully thought out question; he had chosen the left door and came forth in to the light and out the other side in Life. Yatako had waited for the others to come, with glee that he had survived anticipating at least Azumi would step through the threshold.
- Chapter 11; Pain & Emotions; Return of the Raven
Out of their group; three came forth. Haruki, Arashi and Azumi had disappeared without word or notice. Evidently they chose the wrong answer; their penalty death. Her death carried over heavy on Yatako as he traveled down the final steps in agony; feeling the old steps of the Raven coming back to life; one that he did not wish to return to. His rage had come back; his angst to follow; but in the end; the Divine presence was using this trouble to make him grow in to a better shinobi; he would no longer be the Cursed Raven after these events. He was to mourn; to grieve, it was allowed, his anger taken out upon Kumo to follow; then he would be comforted.
- Chapter 12; The Brotherhood Of Konoha Formed; Truths and Revelations; The Final Trial
When Yatako reached the bottom; it had looked like nothing that he had ever seen to date. Water poured around the brightly lighted room; water being held above the room by chakra with a stone obelisk grown out of the middle of a square area at the top of an escalator of steps. Chouzou had built a fire there and told them to relax; the three, the brotherhood. Chouzou went up to the obelisk and placed his hands inside of it; retrieving a sword; the sword of ages; the Brotherhood. He explained that it was his sword; and his past. His love; Hinoi had imprisoned him to the obelisk to preserve him for all eternity because of his death. He was hunted by both Konoha and Kumo and had died for her sake. Now he lived life in hopes for redemption.
- Chapter 13; Battle's Climax; Chouzou's Redemption
Kumo had poured in on all sides; battle approached and Yatako was bloodthirsty for they were the ones; the reason that they were here; they were the reason for Azumi's death. After the skirmish with the minor troops; the general stepped in; the one who awakened Chouzou and said a powerful revelation: Chouzou had murdered the old Hokage. Yatako was astonished and thrown back; but he was quickly awakened to the here and now and disregarded that to the past. Yatako knew the true Chouzou now; the brotherhood would destroy the man; who transformed in to a beast, his true self revealed. Chouzou had been knocked out from consciousness. After much coaching, he came back to the physical world and slew the man and brought the brotherhood to the surface.
- Chapter 14; The Sennin Sent Home; One Hundred Year Reunion
Chouzou had decided his own death; his second death. He had dubbed Yatako, Shin and Gensai Sannin of Konoha; the brother hood was meant to carry on as the leaders of Konoha; the freedom was to come shortly. As Yatako sorted his emotions with Chouzou, he came to the conclusion that Chouzou was right for the need to finally rest and he would get it. Before his departure; he met Hinoi in the sky; he was glowing in front of Yatako as his orders were given to go back to Konoha; Yatako obeyed.
- Chapter 15; Touches with the Spirit World; The Mastery of Taijutsu
Upon his arrival, his brief expedition in to the spirit world was surprising to say the least; but not overwhelming. Yatako was met in the forest by Hantou; his former Jounin, but it was not him, but a doll. The doll was an odd creation the eventually faded in to nothingness; but a small woman brought him in to a foreign dimension; where he was met by a shadow of Hyuuga Neji who's emotions were fought by Yatako; Neji had tried to make Yatako feel the same way he did about the head family; prior to his growth in to life. Yatako had overcome Neji because of the lessons that Azumi had taught him; at the end of the road; the woman had taught him the remaining five styles of Taijutsu across the world; that he would need in the upcoming war.
- Chapter 16; Reunion With Chouzou; Divinity's Vassal Anointed
Once Yatako entered back in to his homeland; he realized that there was a strange and yet familiar chakra in the air; he felt a warm feeling guiding him a certain way. Yatako instinctively followed such a path. It had leaded him to a marvelous sight within the streets of the village of Leaves; Chouzou's second coming. The brotherhood stood in awe as Chouzou was sighted in the sky just above them with Hinoi by his side and Arashi appearing in the rear; only in physical form. Yatako immediately brought up Azumi in agony. Arashi had handed over something had he had received from her in the other realm in the second door; her Hitai-Ate. With that in hand; he was reborn, no longer as the Cursed Raven; but as Divinity's Vassal. His objectives were clear; to make it into the Hokage's tower.
- Chapter 17; Prequel To Freedom; Chouzou's Last Trial
In the Hokage's Tower; the group met up when Yatako gathered both Takumi and Tsun to his side and infiltrated the tower. When they had found the way inside to a hidden room; the brotherhood along with Arashi and Akira ventured in. Inside of the new room; they found Chouzou; ready for battle. He ordered them to strike him and overcome him; another test before they would commence the final operation; what they strived for. They were commanded to work as one; together in one final blow after being denied their attacks previously. At one; Yatako prepared one of the most formidable attacks of the Hyuuga; the One Hundred Twenty Eight Divine Palm Strike; combined with the other attacks from the shinobi of the leaf; Chouzou was satisfied and handed them sacred stones from the Otherworld to heal them and took flight after giving them the orders necessary to free Konoha from Kumo's clutches.
- Chapter 18; Dream coming to Reality; Freedom Exposed
The group of Resistance was split up in individual parts out to claim freedom to each area marked on the street maps of Konoha. They were to strike as shadows, in individual selves each etching away to the grip of Kumo. It extended to the Hokage's Tower, the Hospital, the Academy, the Estates, the Streets, the Arena, the Forest and the Shopping Arcade. The group was to report back to Chouzou and call upon him to guide them to the last area, the ANBU head quarters, Fort Kai.
- Chapter 19; Freedom of the Hokage's Tower; Purging the Tainted
Yatako had taken it upon himself to ensure any security and communications would be shut down. By infiltrating the security room, he was able to lay their guards to their death and cut off communication roaming around town and any unknown tapings to the empire directly. Defeating a Jounin level Taijutsu expert, the leading in command in the tower sector, he took hold of the domain. As what started the first step in the revolution.
- Chapter 20; Freedom of the Leaf Hospital; Halting the Malpractice
A secret underground facility in the Konoha Hospital wrought an unknown virus, a disease capable of unknown properties, but luckily, Yatako had slipped passed their security in order to venture down to the dusky basement where scientist were at work on the virus. Though, by destroying their veil it was held in, having the Kumo researchers die to their own creation, Yatako had even reprogrammed the mainframe of power in the hospital, allowing only backup generators to run, providing the cover to expose the malpractice and let his brothers take their judgment on them.
- Chapter 21; Freedom to the Leaf Shopping Arcade; Cutting the Trades
A secretive arming operation for the Kumo operatives in the Konoha district of the world, via a normal convoy, however, the brotherhood were there to meet the trade route and interrupt the course of history. Burning the wagons full of supplies and depriving the providers of their life, the outside supply program had been severed. Another step in to the progression of revolution.
- Chapter 22; Freedom to the Leaf Estates; Gathering of the Faithful
Suspicions were gathering around the great clans of Konoha, specifically, the Uchiha and Hyuuga clans. Yatako had been summoned by Takumi, who lead him back home, the wayward son. He discussed that the NCIA was indeed doing a check for any resistance members in the Hyuuga estates. The NCIA were in a meeting with the clan head and the other officers were patrolling about, causing mishap. Yatako lead them to safety, divising a plan and defeating the Kumo general along with his family members. At that point, he set up the plan of retaking Konoha, leading the Hyuuga forces.
- Chapter 23; Freedom to the Leaf Academy
Beginning the assault on the Konoha academy first required the students to be evacuated. By slipping in to the basement of the academy, Yatako had rewired the system of the PA announcements in order to project his voice, as an administrator, letting the kids go to safety, evacuate and gather the staff to one part of the building where the brotherhood would then strike. All had gone to plan, with the children safe, a large weight on the shoulders of the resistance was lifted.
- Chapter 24; Freedom to the Leaf Arena
The arena in Konoha bought some old memories about, with the old Hyuuga bully of Yatako's childhood stepped in to the ring after a group of adrenaline filled children were beaten by Yatako. Hyuuga Kuushkei was his name, tough working for the NCIA. By battling Kuushkei, Yatako was able to show him the true path, adding another person to their front, an enemy turned to an ally; a great achievement.
- Chapter 25; Freedom to the Leaf Streets
In the bustling busy streets of everyday Konoha, Yatako was met at a restaurant by a Kumo commander, innocently buying a meal. He felt the slightest bit of regret, but knew it was for the greater good when he dipped the poison Kuushkei had given him in to his meal, killing him. Before Yatako left to secure the final route, in the trees, he assembled a small group of Konoha Resistors, gaining strength in numbers and morale.
- Chapter 26; Freedom to the Leaf Forest
The final area of liberation, a small scout's hut in the forest. Something that could hinder any traps for retaking the village or escape routes if need be. Even traps for the enemy to escape and setting up barriers to prevent any more entry. All were thought of and taken care of. Along with the scouting hut, all on patrol were killed, all in the name of freedom.
- Chapter 27; Close to the End, Yet so far away; The Rebirth of the ANBU
Yatako made his way after the events of freedom to find the abandoned house of Nara Gensai. Inside, there was to be found a group of two other unknown people in their presence, yet they proved no harm to the brothers in the room. They were soon introduced to be Gensai's friends. Not too long after Gensai and Yatako attempted to call to the others through the ways of chakra networks; their leader, Chouzou appeared i their front. He appointed Gensai and Yatako to the two newest members of the reborn ANBU and shared Chouzou's power with the two shinobi. Shin, followed by Arashi staggered in to the house and were given orders. Arashi was to aid the rebellion in the streets of Konoha, whilst the brotherhood gained the chance to learn Chouzou's ultimate technique; the Terror of Konoha.
Outside of the small house, they were met by rivals abound; an Uchiha by the name of Souji had claimed his pick at the Hyuuga. The two had pitted each other in the midst of skirmishes, but in the very end; Yatako had proven the winner. He however withdrew the lethal blow, sparing his life in hopes that Souji would turn from his ways when his slumber would end.
- Chapter 28; Terror of Konoha Cut Short
The group arrived to their first task in the Konoha Arena. They were to drop everything that their bodies housed. All their chakra and stamina were to be wiped away to be built up again anew. Soon after the group found their paths to start their draining; Chouzou shouted that he sensed Kumo nearby and they were to investigate.
- Chapter 29; The Uchiha of the Living Dead
Chouzou arrived early, while the brothers followed in tail and stood in the shadows surrounding the spotted Uchiha Gennin and his unknown Jounin instructor. Chouzou gave them an option to join the resistance or die. It was strange, however, the Uchiha seemed to disappear from all of life; the Byakugan could only pick up the dying chakra in the wake. Chouzou ordered the brothers to give chase by the means of the Essence of the Otherworld.
- Chapter 30; To the Land of Rice and Sounds; The Frontier of Oto
The group gave chase but all was for naught as in their discussions that this Uchiha was indeed a brother as they were; but not on the same par. Yatako found it odd that Chouzou sent them on this tracking mission while they should have been in the arena, continuing their training as they originally planned. When they snuck in to Oto, they found it was empty to their target, he had already left and now it was their turn to leave, before Kumo knew of their existence.
- Chapter 31; The Return to the Flame; Returning to the Train
The brotherhood returned to Konoha and discussed their regrets with Chouzou but knew exactly what they were needed to do. Thus, they returned to their training and wiping everything their body had accumulated away. When they were finished, the next task was at hand; Betrayal.
- Chapter 32; The bout of the Brotherhood
The three brothers were pitched against each other. Shin proved victorious, taking out Gensai when he reveled his favored initiation to battle; the Hidden Mist. One he was beaten, Yatako was next to fall, as Shin had proved his worth in defeating his brothers and claiming victory this day. Although, what was spoke during these bouts, troubled Yatako.
- Chapter 33; The Charge of Destiny
The final stage was set today, but everything went wrong. The battle proceeded with victory in sights. The brotherhood was fighting fantastically, but the moral with the Konoha army fell short, causing a loss to endure. Yatako had conducted the band of Hyuuga warriors aiding the battle, rescuing a small Hyuuga child from a crazed lunatic of the Kumogakure army. For an amount of time, Yatako rode on the back of Chouzou's three headed dog with the name of Fenrir. After fighting alongside the beast, Yatako and Takumi had joined together, performing a double Kaiten and claiming the lives of a squad of shinobi. Though when it seemed they were at the door of the fort, the final maneuver was to break in; Chouzou called off the attack for retreat, only to never be heard from again. It was a loss that day; but they vowed to return, wherever Chouzou went, the Brotherhood would continue and return home.
- Chapter 34; The Glowing Embers; Baptism by Fire
Yatako had met up with his dear Brotherhood friend, Shin, who desired to peruse his curiosity to find Haruki. Determined to ensure his safety and to thirst his own will of curiosity, Yatako promised to follow Shin to the City of Tin after he became made aware that Gensai had also survived their failure. His waiting had been most rewarding when the Hyuuga was reunited with his best friend, who had along with him, students a combined resistance assassination force. After the two Konoha descendants showed the true might of the flame, Yatako left with only a promise to see Gensai again, his destiny was called for the country of Coal.
- Chapter 35; Reunification and Separation
Yatako had caught up with Shin, only hours behind him. Meeting within a local inn, the two had discovered an unlovely truth, but a lucky enough truth nonetheless. Haruki did indeed exist in the plane of the living, he had a hoard of shinobi that protected the Country of Coal, but worked in the shadows, casting fear on to the masses. They were determined to find Haruki, who had radiated a different, darker aura than what they knew him to be. However, when the two set off, it was the last Yatako would see of Shin.
- Chapter 36; The Blessing of a Caged Bird
Before Yatako would realize that Shin had disappeared, he had gathered information about Haruki, meeting a new face; a Hyuuga, like him, of the branch family. It was interesting, she was. Mizumono, seeming like she had two parts within her, a dual soul lineage coursing through her veins. With her, he found Suzuke, a former operative of Hakumei, the organization lead by Haruki. After gaining their trust and cooperation, Yatako had found his way down to the secretive entrance to Haruki's fortress.
- Chapter 37; The Past and the Present; Unraveled History
Take n in like a guest, Yatako had met with Haruki, never once setting direct foot in to the large fortress, but all the same; his old sensei never changed, his appearance had not, but his tone of voice; had. He seemed darker, with a drip of malice to him. Yatako could sense a foul intension coming from him, leaking some information about their plan to infiltrate Kumogakure no Sato and to unite the world in peace through fear; destroying both the NCIA and the resistance. Persuading Haruki to let Yatako free and find reinforcements to aid Haruki's cause, Yatako left, but he hadn't planned on returning.
- Chapter 38; Returning to the Oceans
With Mizumono and Suzuke, Yatako had brought them with him to the first place of his enlightenment and training. Where he had found true strength. Painting his past in their minds, he began to teach them certain things, the only problem was when Suzuke and Mizumono were sparring and an unknown entity was spawned from Mizu. A foreign entity, something very strange and unlike her. But as soon as it appeared, it seemed like it left. After that, the two of them seemed to wander away from the oceans, not to be seen again.
- Chapter 39; From Sands to Sands
In light of the disappearing of his two ‘students' Yatako decided that there was nothing left for him on the Eastern end of the continent. It was not safe in Konoha at that point in time and everyone was scattered. After bidding his final farewell to Gensai, who had been the last brother besides him in the brotherhood; he retired his sword and ninja ways. Yatako was stricken in sorrow, but decided that there had to be Resistances in the other parts of the world. The journey would be long, but he was determined to not let all of the Konoha Resistance die. From the sands of the Eastern Ocean, he was brought to Sunagakure no Sato.
- Chapter 40; The Fated Meeting in the Most Tragic Ends
Either by Luck or by Fate, Yatako had moseyed his way through the deserts to come upon the hidden village of Suna. He was precautious in entering though, not aware of the current predicament of the war the village was raised on. Entering through the sewer system, a way of sneaking in; he discovered a brawl, but this was not an ordinary brawl. It would be perceived that there was a civil war, for their outfits resembled each other in some fashions. But in the ninja art of pick and choose, Yatako found his first move in defending a man he would learn to know better s Alchem Syaoran. The story would be pieced together that the group was lead in to the sewers, where they were ambushed by the NCIA. The fight had ended terribly, a woman that Syaoran had after his heart; Kia was fatally wounded, Syaoran in his despair created a solid metal wall between the two factions, rescuing Kia, but disappearing like a ghost. Only later would they discover that only Kia had died, but her death alone wrought sorrow throuout the whole group. Taken in as a stranger, Yatako aided an unconscious woman named Natalie. When Kouta had directed the group back to the warehouse of operations, Syaoran had appeared before them, transporting them all to Iwa, where her funeral would be held.
- Chapter 41; Funeral of Kia and the Entrance of the Harlot
After arriving in to a sea of trees, the Alchem house had been revealed to be a tree house, quite a spacious one with multiple floors. Her service was held outside, her body and casket cremated while her ashes scattered through the winds. At the service was one new person; her name Hikari. Yatako would find out she had no control and was basically the complete opposite of him in every way. Loud, rude and obsessed with immaturity. Who would have guessed a form of friendship would be born from them, but before their arguments could increase anymore, the Council of Stone called them to embark on a mission. Back to the country of Wind, by plea of the Kazekage.
- Chapter 42; Revolution, Revolution!
Syaoran, Yatako, Kouta and Hikari had set out to the Country of Wind, their destination this time, Soma; the capital. Their objective was to dethrone the Daimyo and allow the rightful Kazekage to take his place as leader of Kaze no Kuni. When arriving, they faced a civilization under war. It raged out in to the streets, all were up in arms. All the shinobi could do was pass them for now; their objective was to cut the head of the snake and let the body die. The group had met the Kazekage on the rooftop of the Daimyo's palace. Infiltrating there, they went under disguises as NCIA, but that hadn't hidden their cover from the higher ups. When they infiltrated what they thought was the Daimyo's lair, they met a room of extravagance and hidden shinobi, which attacked them. Without the availability to interrogate, Hikari murdered the ones that hadn't died. This caused an uproar from all members of the group; feelings were exploding and yelling that probably would have made it obvious of their identities.
Though, they were lucky enough to meet one of the Wind three, who worked directly under the Kazekage. He lead them underground, to the tomb of the Daimyos, where two images of the Daimyo's were waiting, the Kazekage fighting one, the Wind Three fighting the other. The Kazekage landed the final blow on the Daimyo, killing his father and ending his horrid reign. Soma began to change back after then, almost immediately. All were commemorated and honored for their doing.
- Chapter 43; Ceremonies and Catching the Rebelling Three
Being transported back once again directly to the Alchem tree house, the group celebrated their victory with drinks and music. It was the first time in a long while that Yatako had felt relaxed, truly. It felt delightful and to add to the festivities, Syaoran's cousin, Alchem Sanji, had appeared and introduced himself. He was a kind soul, though unaware of his recent past. But despite that, Yatako and Hikari decided to let them catch up while going out and exploring the village.
In their adventure, they had come to one club, where they found three shinobi obviously in a Henge. Pulling them aside and giving them a talk, they dragged them back to the Alchem house quite quickly. The reason primarily, one of them looked like Kia, younger, but unmistakable. Though it would be revealed that she had a temper that Kia apparently didn't have. After a night of fighting, anger and burning tears, the whole group had learned to get along with each other.
- Chapter 44; The Training in the Forest
With what just started as a small training, Syaoran had turned it in to a brawl, for he wanted Sato, Bara and Yatako to come and attack him. Of course, both Yatako and Syaoran were holding back, they hadn't wanted to endanger the weaker members of the training, but once Kouta joined the battle, with his new unique sword, it became Yatako and Kouta against Syaoran, where the kiddy gloves came off. The three battled, matching each other's moves, gaining supervises on the other and turning out to be a challenge. The training had dwindled away, leaving only a few moves left on both sides when a messenger from the Council had called for Syaoran. When he left, Yatako decided to become of use and find a mission to embark on.
- Chapter 45; Reclaiming the Pillaged
When Yatako accepted a mission previously failed by another group of shinobi, he was called to return back to the Country of Coal and ultimately face his unknowingness; he would have to face Haruki would he interfere. The Hyuuga still was on leave, not officially part of Hakumei, but not MIA on their standards. He had equivocated his way from the situation then, now he returned, even stronger. His objective was to retrieve an important document from Misha Toko, a lieutenant of the NCIA. After scaling the entire country, Yatako was able to retrieve it, killing Toko and assuming his identify as an alibi.
Over time, however, the poor points in his ability would be overcome, his chakra became prominent and flowed without the problems it showed earlier. Partially in due to the pursuit of knowledge of the shinobi world and the expansion over the philosophy of chakra itself. He had begun to decipher books in the Alchem Clan library at his leisure, furthering his knowledge ability to turn the text in to his own experiences.
- Chapter 46; Uncharted Lands
Yatako and Syaoran had been called to duty, on a mission of investigation to lands unknown; to investigate the thought to be extinct Takeda clan, who were suspect to have been born again, assisting the empire in their newest attempts at torture and investigation; a mind link to the who they targeted. Their side objective was to destroy the facility if found. Unfortunately, Syaoran had not been anywhere close to the designated area that they were to investigate, which meant they would have to physically travel at least to there; getting back was simplistic. They headed towards the Northern Sea; an expanse of land between the Country of Earth and the Country of Lightning. By traveling on Syaoran's ship, it had not taken them very long to scout out a life bearing island, of a very small community. They had met a village elder of sorts and he apathetically showed them his house and invited him to dinner; which the two passed the ploy of travelers, happily taking the invitation without so much as a second thought. His wife seemed peaceful enough, cheery and delighted to have guests; she served the fish stew hot and in large quantities. Upon tasting the stew, Syaoran had been poisoned and faked his own death while Yatako was taken prisoner.
He was taken in to the NCIA facility, but by the use of contacts to mask his Byakgugan and the use of the very eye to see through the blindfold shading his eyes, he could map out exactly where he was being lead. It wasn't long until he was interrogated by a large and mostly quiet man. Through a strange twist of fate, he had identified Yatako and Syaoran and the Hyuuga had gotten possession over Syaoran's Iwagakure Counsel ring, which Syaoran used to find Yatako, who had been in battle with the silent man. Making quick work of him, they concluded that the base was mostly abandoned and the research had been moved. By using a dual strike of Earth jutsu, they caused the facility to collapse in itself and destroy the entire complex. They had warped back to Iwa in order to report their findings and lack thereof.
- Chapter 47; Lacing Knots
After they had reported the mission conclusion to the Tsuchikage's Summit, the two wandered off back to the Alchem forest, to do some training in their spare time. Their first order of business was to the development of Yatako's secondary element, which had been wind. Ironic how Yatako was not the Ninjutsu primary of the two, it would have better fit Syaoran as Wind was more associated towards the Ninjutsu composites of shinobi. Perhaps it was a mere test, for his words came back to speak that he would turn his elemental affinities to aid the Taijutsu, in the past when he discovered his Earth elemental affinity. It may not have seemed like quite the boon at first glance, but Yatako was faithful that he would be able to bend the element to his advantage.
After that event, they decided to spar, face to face. Sato had appeared and asked to join in, to which Yatako declined for his own safety. He would learn it was wise to listen to the Hyuuga's advice, for the battle had been a destructive one of sorts. Syaoran had won in the end, Yatako's old feelings about losing in the face of a superior had not changed, but it only drove him further to develop himself. And interesting occurrence took place during their spar however; they had met a girl, with the direction to the Alchem house; by the name of Natsumi.
- Chapter 48; The Nephilim Gauntlets
Yatako had been since retired to his bed, aiming to get a restful sleep or at least salvage the most peace he could from the busy and hectic day. Before he had drifted off to his slumber, he felt the ache of the muscles that had been worn throughout the course of the day, training with Syaoran and of course their mission. It had really been a long day in all respect, a lot of accomplishments and he had grown stronger, both physically and in spirit. He acquired new friends; new allies and the stories connecting each and every one of them in the household began to unfold. Life was full of such connections, only one with the ability to draw back the world and time, to look at the grand picture could etch the details of the connections.
A humming sound drifted in to his room, through the window or through the door, he wasn't aware; he had already been lost to the world. Nouns, verbs, adjectives along with other ingredients for a song or sentence floated in to his mind. His limbs began to move and his hearing sharpened, depicting each words and stringing it together, despite his inability to fully wake up. His eyes felt like dead weights, unable to flutter upward and gaze upon the world. Despite this unfortunate hindrance, calling upon his namesake; waking it from its dormant state would be much simpler than opening his own eyes. his Byakugan came flickering to life, revealing his state around him, a leash of chakra pulling him to unknown destinations. Though its power became less constricting, he knew he was a puppet, fallen in to a jutsu hybrid type. The Genjutsu sliver was cut short, but the Ninjutsu remained, his sacred eyes could only remain open for so long as they bid the world farewell; another side effect of the powerful jutsu. After a minute of rest, he was able to rouse back open, checking his surroundings through his eyelid, he was being lead down the tree house.
After the process completed itself several times on end, he felt the rush of night air hit him in the face, when his eyes were operable again; the world was dark on the outside and a single man was holding the strings of his leash. Dressed in a midnight blue cloak, its hood a veil for his face; the only facial distinction available was his thin lips. Jewels of all color strung across with gold and silver around his body wear, when Yatako was forced to step closer, the world seemed to fall away. A lit kanji circle, glowing violet encased them; 物, the world then wisped away. Yatako knew this was an odd event and normally, his instincts would tell him to fight back and resist using all of his will power; but tonight they were silent. Silent as the sleeping creatures in the forest, under the moonlit nature. By will, he urged his eyes to cooperate, unleashing their vision once again, and giving light to the situation.
There were two gauntlet like objects being passed before him, being eased in to his hands. They were slipping on, he could feel chakra pulsate through them and the kanji began to glow a golden hue to its milky silver base. When both of them were at equal fit, a wave of wind gusted from an unknown cause, but being held in to the inscribed kanji field. The violet shade started to resonate a dark green and fading back to the purple. And that was it; his eyes broke loose again and the vision ceased. He wasn't sure what this process was, but he invited it. One minute later, his eyes shot open as it were, though his physical eyelids tied down; the Byakugan caught the picture of the man canceling the ritual. "Yatako...I-I'm Nao-" His voice was in a whisper, being cut off by an unforeseen or heard event, leading him to slip back in to the night. However, the effects of the jutsu carried him back to the Alchem's house; his eyes leaving him once again.
His body had marched back to bed, thought the entirely of the trudge, his eyes wouldn't wake; his hands clothed in the strange objects he was handed. They weren't metal, but they weren't leather. Their actual material was strange, strong but light. The covers of his bed drew over himself once again; in the instant, his head was lost to his pillow, drifting back to slumber. Subconsciously he heard the last syllable ‘-ki'.
- Chapter 49; The Alchem's Birthday
A bit of comic relief thrown in to the situation as Syaoran turned 20 years of age. It was a birthday celebration among all of the people at the Alchem tree house in order to celebrate Syoaran's life. Uchiha Kanji ventured to join the group at the Alchem estates and joined in the celebration. Haru had brought Kenji from outside of the tree house under interesting circumstances. Unfortunately, Syaoran was called to business before he could finish the day without a care.
- Chapter 50; New Embers
An emergency summons was called throughout the village of Iwagakure no Sato without true warrant or warning. Yatako followed, enticed by the sudden necessity of the situation. He was drawn towards it, in hopes of spending time away while Syaoran was off on his own accord and business. A burlesque man was responsible for the meeting, with long black hair too. In the wait, Yatako familiarized himself with the mysterious Kenji, who seemed to be hiding a dark secret from the world.
- Chapter 51; The Summit Meeting
The final hour dawned on Iwagakure no Sato as forces from around the continent gathered on its soils in preparation for the final assault on the main headquarters for the NCIA, Nigiyakashufu. Yatako had met up with his cousin, Hyuuga Takumi and his redeemed ally Uchiha Souji. Yatako also had the blessing of reuniting with Kokeshi for a short while; the meeting was heartfelt and warmed his soul. In this meeting place, Yatako had met Baromosa and Jinsoku, two promising Konohagakure students. Yatako split from the group once Syaoran appeared back on the Tsuchikage's summit. Meeting his friend without haste, Yatako was informed he was the only handpicked person to join Syaoran as his second in command. His meeting with Kiri had gone smoothly and they were now ready to progress in to the open air.
- Chapter 52; To the Skies!
Yatako boarded Syaoran's vessel and was instructed how to operate the sailing airship. By commanding the fire shinobi beneath the deck, the mechanism worked like a hot air balloon, controlling the influx of movement. Outside the vessel, shinobi used clouds as cover and wind manipulation for movement. Yatako stayed on watch with Syaoran over the crew until they drew close to the Country of Fang. As they descended, their presence was quickly spotlighted and the assault on Nigiyakashufu began. Landing in the market district, the resistance claimed the train station as their base of operations and without a blink, Yatako and Hakkai were paired together to assault the base in the district. It would be their rite of passage.
- Chapter 53; The Reigning Fortress
In a pleasing manner, Hakkai tapped in to the philosophical aspect of the Hyuuga and two already developed a strong tie of respect. The fact the two of them worked in eloquence on this mission only further fueled it success rate. They were both strategists and the two men quickly adapted to the unknown nightmarish land they landed in. Yatako and Hakkia created and transformed a total of sixteen clones, eight from each man and paired two by two for ultimate success. The homeless man with his faithful dog, a woman and her child, a group of two cats, a man and his wife out for a walk, a businessman with an eager mouse trying to find something to eat, two young teens acting like normal teens causing trouble and being nosy, a fly catching a ride on the back of a blue jay and finally, the pair of NCIA agents, accommodated the pairings, sent out in increments of two minutes of each other. Yatako had also summoned Yuu to fly up and survey the area. Using the clones to milk information off authentic agents and discovered the base of the NCIA in the district. Yatako had slipped his clone of Misha Toko the real identification card in order to grant access to the building. Inside, the two clones made their way around the building until Hakkai's clone was found by a war beaten Hyuuga. In dire response, the clone destroyed himself, followed by Yatako's clone joining the suicide. With the memories of the clones streaming back to the minds of Yatako and Hakkai, they instinctively knew the location and everything they wanted.
Cho Hakkai summoned his faithful panda mother; Yaya to his side, in the same respect Yatako summoned forth Tsukihane, the raven queen. Restraining his summon, Hakkai pleaded for reduced death and the panda complied happily and the panda rained lighting down on the soldiers, knocking them out. Their summons began ripping apart the base with all their fury, shaking and driving the officers out. The two men sent away their summons in fear that any prolonged exposure risked the deaths of too many people, even if they were enemies. The duo was surrounded quickly by a plethora of officers but by simple recognition of the pair the NCIA officers were struck with fear and abandoned their fight. The two men had succeeded in their mission and the clocks on the each clone ran to and end. All fourteen remaining clones destroyed themselves and the men's minds were filled with the mental map depicted. Their strategy had been flawless in procedure.
Reuniting with Syaoran, the three exchanged information describing their success. It wasn't too long before an Iwagakure shinobi interrupted them reporting the identification of two people at the southwestern border. Upon arrival, the two were unmasked to be Raz and Korin, to whom Hakkai knew very well. The group moved towards the medical tent and a careful ear picked up the scent that Raz and Hakkai were the bearers of curse seals; however Yatako declined from inquiring any more. Instead, he gave the sound advice to fight with his heart, not his mind. The mind often times lied. There simply wasn't enough time; the NCIA had released its elite forces and they began to close in. With mental map at their finger tips, Hakkai and Yatako set out for the southern district. Hakkai took to the west and Yatako claimed the east.
- Chapter 54; Faces and Fortunes of War
Yatako proceeded to the south eastern district of the market under the discretion of Syaoran. He arrived in what seemed to be an abandoned plaza, only inhabited by two faces waiting for unseen orders; the two faces breathed NCIA officers. It appeared they were waiting for Alchem Syaoran, but settled for Yatako; however one of them decided to leave the area and continue orders elsewhere. The one remaining was Na Lion, a shinobi from Kusagakure promoted to general in the army of Kumogakure. Na Lion was very familiar with the element of wood, revolving his entire style around it. The man was quite slippery, forcing Yatako to perform area encompassing jutsu to close in the range between them. He was also a very powerful force, but the two clashing titans appeared on equal levels. Na Lion crafted a technique that created a wooden prison of extreme fortification but Yatako's immense strength blew through the prison walls with a single attack. Even his makeshift poisonous forest couldn't bind the Hyuuga for long, but Lion quickly forced Yatako on the defensive, trying to buy time for recovery.
Na Lion constructed a large, dense forest much more intricate than the poisonous garden he tried before. The forest created a landscape of trees touching a hundred feet sky bound and giving birth to a large canopy with the ability to build a civilization within. The forest ground was reduced to ruins with the knotted roots and upheaval of rocks. They were enclosed in a wooded wonderland, secluded from the rest of Fang and locked in their own private prison. Yatako attempted to quickly adapt to the terrain, but problems incurred initially. Na Lion was able to break through a body freeze technique, but he fell victim to the Hyuuga's 128-Palm seal. Taking the offensive, Yatako backed Na Lion in to a construction of stone ruins where the general brought to life a wooden behemoth with the name of Robur.
The five story high creature swung only once to swallow the Hyuuga in a world of pain that forced him into a creator assumed to be his grave. On the brink of death, Yatako's mind compiled the souls and memories of his convections and the people he fought for, carrying on their names. His spirit wouldn't be broken and with an anguished cry Yatako leapt on to the beast, Yatako struck thrice with thundering strikes. He broke the outer shell of the beast, defeating it with one technique, flipping off the skyscraper before it came crashing down to the forest floor, devoid of any life it had. Na Lion leapt out of his position and the two men fought with only their wills to survive. Yatako was hit with a wooden block and felt himself slipping out of consciousness, but not without dishing the man a final drink of mystic proportions. Yatako had successfully infected the man with confusion and although when we woke he couldn't find Na Lion in the ruble, he had sustained too many wounds to survive for long.
- Chapter 55; Foreboding Skies
Yatako's motherly summon, Annon the white dove carried him on her glorious wings while healing his wounds from the recent skirmish. After waking from an induced unconscious state, Yatako was regenerated and woke to the cool rain fall on his face. A storm had begun to roll in and she had brought him to the meeting tent. He waltzed in to a negatively charged atmosphere; Syaoran was being attacked with words of critics by his wish to face the Raikage alone. Although Yatako very much wished to join them, he desperately didn't want to see his friend face the emperor without numbers and further strength by his side, but Yatako knew of this struggle in Syaoran. He had seen it almost ages ago at the Alchem household and Yatako knew his words would be better placed in support and faith than in denial. He spoke up in addressing the gathered crowd, promising Syaoran his fight would not be interrupted and Yatako gave a final speech to raise morals before the time came for the journey to the heavenly palace.
- Chapter 56; Shattered Heavens
The eight warriors representing the lands of the world began their climb to the palace under the drizzling synthetic rain believed to be caused by the Raikage. Alchem Syaoran, Hyuuga Yatako, Cho Hakkai, Umikoi Warrusu, Kinsen 'Raz' Rasen, Haramatsu Korin, Hisame Haruyuki, and Akasabure Kouta were the legendary eight that sought to tip the scales back in to Fate's hands once again. Yatako's divine eyes gave him the sights of four clocked figures standing guard to the Raikage and a chorus of cheers for the figure of their enemy only dampened their motivation. Syaoran stepped forward, trying to convince the Raikage to surrender his will as a last ditch effort at peace, but he wasn't so kind to the offer. In return, Syaoran insulted the Raikage with words Yatako never dared to speak. Two representatives from Iwagakure constructed a barrier to encase the eight shinobi and the Raikage, along with his guard to prevent outside intrusion and to allow the shinobi inside to empty their chakra without worry. However, the Raikage announced a warning and struck a lightning bolt through Syaoran's teacher; Maomi and ended her life. He announced himself as the ‘Champion of Raijin' before the storm began.
Raikou unleashed a slew of lightning tipped arrows at Syaoran in his depressed state, but the Alchem had skillfully maneuvered around the assault. Although Warrusu and other wanted to mount and attack, Yatako knew better than that. Syaoran would not unfasten his restraints as long as they were around. Instead, they would do far better teaming up against his guards. Yatako paired with Kouta, an old time friend, the man of many unique swords. Kouta began the strike with a cry, unleashing his screaming sword, crashing down on the cloaked figure and Yatako surveying the inner workings of the concealed mystery. Kouta's blade collided with the man and halted its bite in his arm and a loud clanking sound rank out from the man's arm. From the inside of his cloak, daunting orange eyes could be seen staring back at them. Yatako watched a large amount of chakra being focused around the man's skin, unleashing his own blade which split in to two in response against Kouta. The Sunagakure shinobi used the winds as a cocoon to defend against the strike. Yatako interjected with a direct strike against the figure's chakra, colliding with the hulking guard forcing his cloak to be snatched by the wind, revealing the metal underneath. Yatako watched as the chakra around the man;s skin was ceased, but soon began production again but thorugh other means than the tenketsu. The front of the cloak opened, revealing a foul odor and an even darker liquid. Gasoline spilled out of him.
Kouta identified the tactics as a puppet and Yatako was already on the hunt for the user of the Kujutsu. The sand shinobi called upon his natural workings to form a sea of sand around him, and used the infamous blood ability of the third Kazekage, Santetsu the Iron Sand. With the magnetic sands, Kouta tried to plug the gears of the puppet. Yatako tracked the origins of the puppet master and unloaded a long range strike against the chakra source and he also flung Kinen in memory of Gensai towards the guard. Yet when his sword struck the puppet, it ignited the gasoline and all around the puppet the land erupted in miniature volcanoes of traps set to annihilate anyone in their path. Kouta began entrapping himself in a cage of chakra to protect himself and Yatako began a makeshift construction of earthen armor as he dug in to the dust and hardened its protection around him. He had survived the explosion and unburied himself to see a sagely man in deep purple hair and spectacles granting them endearment in to the inner workings of the past few hours. This man had been responsible for much of their tracking and counter intelligence. He sacrificed himself in his last hour as he was grounded in the earth as he tore an explosive tag and threw it in to an open fissure. He left the world believing what he thought was right and those words rung in Yatako's heart. With only a few moments hesitation, the brightest pillar of fire erupted to be seen in all of Fang. Yatako began the dance of the Kaiten, allowing himself to be swept up in heavenly protection as the fires around him nearly dragged him to the underworld. Kouta had released parts of the Celestial Gates to ensure survival.
The ground had been stationed with many mythical beasts. The Raikage had summoned a great bull with bloodshot eyes and extreme strength. Against him was Gamabunta, Yaya,, Nando of the Kodiak bears and Kameryuu. The four beasts and their mastered had roasted the bull and drained him of all life but with the Raikgae's lighting strike wand Warrusu's pear attack the barrier separating their worlds now collapsed, letting the rain pour in and in. Raikou unleashed his final fury in the judgment of Kirin, the magical lightning beast. It broke down the walls of the palace and tried to engulf all of the shinobi along with springing out in to the capital town. On its final passing, it left a scar in the atmosphere and allowed an opening carved for Raikou's end. Before any could unleash their final strikes, Yatako appeared before the fallen Raikage, giving him his last respects. In truth, Yatako felt he owed the man a great deal, for building up their generation to who they were. With a thundering blow to Raikou's body, Yatako plunged his chakra through the Raikage's body bruising him internally. As a final gift, Yatako destroyed his nerves, making his death as painless at it could be. Before the Hyuuga was swallowed by the oncoming onslaught, Anon swooped him up and swung him out of danger.
Yatako immediately flew to Syaoran's side and gave his companion to the badly hurt Alchem. She begun to heal him at once and slowly took off to deliver him to the medical tent and Yatako rejoined his companions on the battlefield, watching the climactic end as Syaoran's second in command. With his final breaths, Raikou clung to life, calling upon the name of Raijin and the heavens parted to give sight to divine beings living in the sky. Their size nearly unimaginable and the symbols painted in the sky were too ancient to translate properly. Once the figure was done comdeming Raikou it whisked away, leaving him in its wake. He spoke of champions and in riddles. War and deities were on his tongue too. At that time, Yatako hadn't a clue what any of it meant, but the revelation only begun. The name of Jashin hung on his lips before Raikou had parted from this life.
- Chapter 57; Victory Summit
Yatako arrived back in the medical tent to clam the worried looks of Syaoran and join in on the celebrations. However it seemed that despite their recent victory, an unsettling cloud hung low on them. The realization that all of life was connected through different points of view was on their thoughts, especially Yatako's. The thought of Kami existing weighed heavily on their souls. Taking his leave from Syaoran's reunion with Naomi, Yatako rejoined Hakkai and several others to bask in their success. Meeting with Hakkai and Raz was a man by the name of Nidori who was branded a traitor against Otogakure. Giving his few last words of advice to forgive the traitor as he appeared in the wake of several powerful shinobi, Yatako exited the scene. As time progressed a voice rung out over the tent and announced to everyone present that Syaoran had become the new Tsuchikage.
As soon as he was able to, Yatako headed over to Syaoran to congratulate him accordingly and promise a celebration for him. Raz, Hakkai, Korin and Nidori would leave the tent then to return home to free Otogakure from its lingering shambles. Yatako, Warrusu, Kouta and Sato were all charged with delivering Raikou's body home and representing peace. They were to travel to Kumogakure no Sato and request a peace treaty be formed. Before the crew left on Syaoran;s airship with a group of Iwagakure and Kirigakure shinobi for support Yatako met with a new face, but the name of Endo Tsubasa. Yatako placed the boy under guidance of Takumi and had to depressingly bid farewell to them, for just a bit more.
- Chapter 58; Tranquil Fronts
Yatako boarded Syaoran's vessel, armed with the knowledge of its operation. Having stood on the planks before, he was confident that their arrival in Lightning Country would be smooth. Aiding in command of the vessel, he gave directions to the soldiers and it didn't take them long at all to fly through the skies.
Once the airship touched the ground, Yatako knew it was only a matter of time until they were identified and found. It seemed he just got finished welcoming Sato back to his home when a crowd of citizens swarmed out of the village, crying out loud for Raikou and Raijin. In response, Warrusu sent out a threat but Yatako brought up his hand, offering himself holding his palms out and open in greeting. He risked his life even outside of battle, hoping to win over the contagion crowd. They hadn't listened to his plea, but a man who seemed to move through time itself appeared before them and apologized. Yatako met him warmly and he introduced himself as Tokeiza Jishin Headmaster of the Hall of Sages. He opened the storm barrier, a magnificent protective barrier against Kumogakure's immense storms and lead them to the Raikgae's palace. They marched down the streets with Raikou's casket in their arms.
- Chapter 59; In the Chamber of Sages
In the beautiful tower of the Raikage, the legion was met with elegant art and sculptures, the likes that they hadn't seen in too many years. Through all the rebellion, they sacrificed the finer points of life and embellished in the grueling simple things just to get by. Yatako was struck in awe to say the least. The painting of Kirin ran chills down his spine as it crawled through the entire room. It was a haunting experience to sight to the fountain of Raijin, something that was all too familiar. Warrusu had fetched a member of the Namikaze of old lore and they trotted off in to the Hall of Sages.
Yatako explained the situation they encountered at the final minutes of Raikou's life, trying to make sense of the mind boggling experience. Jishin carefully explained his full knowledge of the subject. He embellished on the five Kami and their hidden temples and a loathsome human who slaughtered countless and defied the Kami. This man named Jashin had become immortal through consuming the blood of humans. Jashin had brought total darkness upon the world and the Kamis clashed with the evil being. Their souls were shattered, but they sealed him to the underworld. They confined themselves in to various temples arranged around the globe and they had been lost for thousands of years. A visitor to Raikou four years prior mentioned word of Jashin's strength growing and there was a prophesy of Five Champions rising and five countries will go to war. The oceans will turn red and the world will again plunge in to darkness. Raikou was told he was one of the champions, but evidently it was no true. The man had used Raikou to lure out the most powerful shinobi in the world and a few of them could possibly be a few of the legendary eight.
At the end of the legacy a wall of the chambers was shattered and a young girl came crashing through. She was full of furry and three bubbling tails of chakra floated out from her. Yatako never thought he would witness a Jinchuuriki, let alone the one of Hachibi. This posed the question of how many of the Bijuu laid in waiting and would the Kyuubi come back to Konohagakure. The name given to her was Momo and she was quickly sedated by Jishin with a blinding jutsu when all of the clocks struck twelve. Jishin promised he would draw up the peace treaty immediately and bade farewell to the warriors. Yatako could finally return home and set freedom to his home that he sought for so very long.
- Chapter 60; Blazing Aurora
Traveling by airship back to Konohagakure no Sato, Yatako's vessel was brought down in the city of Hotarunoshi, firefly city. Upon his crash, his crew was scattered but only one Iwakagure shinobi stood by his side. Eventually he would lose that man in confronting a sect of NCIA, but he was rescued by a group of samurai. His next path led him to discover a group of roughed up resistance fighters led by a man named Akimichi Jagaimo. His crew was mostly Gennin and Chuunin and despite Yatako's convincing they spared him useful information and began their trudge home. He learned the direction of the Daimyo's palace and that he had with him four elite guardians.
After he left that group, he came across a man hiding in ruins. Yatako approached the man, holding his blade Kinen to the man's throat under suspicion but it turned out he was Sarutobi Zakarou the leader of the resistance forces in Hotarunoshi. Yatako's next task was rescuing Aburame Xiang, Zakarou's lieutenant. Yatako infiltrated the location he believed Xiang was in and discovered the Aburame had done away with one of the guardians. The two made their way back to Zakarou and used Yatako's strategy of leading out the remaining guardians to protect the civilians. Their plan was successful, drawing out two of the guardians. The sand manipulator clasped on Yatako's leg while Xiang distracted the Nara woman. Once the two guardians were separated, Yatako subdued Nara Natsuko and convinced her to return home to her son. He had redeemed her and was joyous at that feat. Zakarou fought against Yatamaru in a sand prison, but he had won his victory. After that battle, the two division split up. Zakarou and Xiang decided to handle the last guardian and Yatako was to deal with the Daimyo.
Inside of the Daimyo's tower, Yatako met with a cycloptic man as the secretary. He claimed that the daimyo had left the city and Yatako's troubles were in vain. The Hyuuga wasn't convinced of the man and attested arresting him. Yatako charged him with being the Daimyo, which brought out the truth in the situation. Yoshida Arashi revealed himself as his real identity and the two honorable men traveled to the top of the tower to finish their duel. It was remarkable how honorable the Daimyo was and after the two tried to convince the other to join their sides their brawl was inevitable. Arashi unveiled the legendary Sharingan and he had even achieved the Mangekyo by killing his best friend. The two exchanged an even amount of blows and the two were evenly matched to a certain degree, until Arashi began to use techniques utilizing his Cyclops crimson eye. When Yatako destroyed Arashi's clone, he exploded part of the tower, but that wasn't enough to keep Yatako down. After his recovery, Arashi took a modified soldier pill and offered Yatako one too. The Hyuuga took the pill, but stowed it away instead, hoping that he could use it to save Arashi. The Daimyo attacked with his greatest technique, a heavenly lance which Yatako tired to deflect with Kinen and then it had struck Gensai's hitai-ate. The lance exploded in back of him and caused the Hyuuga to stumble back in to the ruins. He was able to recover from that by catching a glimpse of the Essence of the Otherworld, Chouzou's parting gift.
Arashi was nearly tapped of chakra now and used his summoning tattoo to call Manda from the plane of summons. Yatako responded with summoning the Hawk King Taiyoutaka to battle the beast. Once Yatako took the skies, the two confronted and Yatako separated man from beast and brought the two to the ground. With his last bit of perseverance, Yatako tried one last time to convince Arashi to choose life instead of death. Arashi revealed his story to Yatako and wished to die in their battle. Against his own soul, Yatako finished off Arashi with his development of the Terror of Konoha, reducing Arashi;s body to ash and spreading his ashes across the city. Taiyoutaka defeated Manda, but Yatako had a mental breakdown. He felt all of the death he caused over the years and nearly gave up being a shinobi if a small girl named Azumi hadn't come along and convinced him that he was their protector, their Silver Sentinel. Yatako recovered, even more stronger in his heart than he was before and awakened the Amtsumiko Byakugan.
