Mystery still surrounds the catastrophic events in [[Hara no Kuni]] that lead to the destruction of [[Kusagakure no Sato]] and the "death" of [[Haramatsu Korin]]. As the refugees begin to find new homes in [[Hi no Kuni]] and [[Denchi no Kuni]], continued reports of the strange chakra beings, referred to as "Yokai" continue to crop up across the Great Shinobi Nations, from [[Mizu no Kuni]] to [[Kaze no Kuni]].  
The [[Arrakis Ninja Arts Tournament]] has concluded, though the recent international tournament was not without incident. The recent incursion into [[Sunagakure no Sato]] by members of the [[Uchiha]] clan has created tensions between the [[Country of Wind]] and the [[Country of Fire]], which many fear may escalate into full on war. [[Uchiha Nevan]] remains a prisoner of the [[Ma'at Akilah|Kazekage]], and his current whereabouts are unknown.  


Meanwhile, the [[Country of Earth]] has recently declared war on the [[Country of Snow]], due to the terrorist attacks launched at the end of the Harvest Spirit Festival. Testimony given by [[Takeru Akushi]] alerted many of the Country's leaders to the fact that the recent attacks in [[Metropolis]] may not have been isolated events, and that someone within the nation was feeding information to it's enemies. In the unexplained absence of [[Alchem Syaoran]], this allowed for [[Daniel Hollows]] to usurp control of the [[Iwagakure Air Federation]].

Korin was married to fellow Hachinin, [[Kinsen 'Raz' Rasen]] and has a young son [[Kinsen Heishin]]. She was the last beholder of the Wukong bloodline, which was transfused to her from her late NCIA sensei [[Wukong Aiko]]. Korin specialized in Genjutsu manipulation and medical jutsu, and was also well versed in numerous elements, most notably light and dark jutsu. She was one of the toad family summoners and possesses the infamous legendary [[Kaitou no Totsuka]].
