Organization Leaders:
- Eternal Typhoon: Hisame Haruyuki
- Lion Captain: Kazegari Arisu
- Goat Captain: Takenara Aurius
- Snake Captain: Hozuki Kiyala
Organization Base: Kirigakure no Sato
Organization Goals: The preservation and advancement of Kirigakure no Sato. Providing security and organization in crises and casual life.
Organization Motto: "We are the shades under the moon. The star that churns and calms the tides. Both life and death are bound together in a dance of our blades."
Organization History:
From the ashes of the destroyed DEATH organization, a new elite defense task force was born. Shakou no Dansu no Kiri colloquially known as SHADAKI essentially has the same goals that DEATH had, but under a new name, a new leader and a different organization. The creator, Hisame Haruyuki hoped that the changes would be significant enough for a complete detachment from the old style and image that came with the black opts force and allow for a renaissance of sorts with this new creation. Interestingly enough, the beginnings of SHADAKI started before a Mizukage was selected after the fall of the NCIA. After the civil war against DEATH, whom tried to force their own candidate unto rule, SHADAKI was crafted to remind civilians that organization and unity with Kirigakure and Mizu no Kuni still existed and to clean up the societal mess the civil war brought.
Since its birth, Kirigakure has been known for its killers and craftsmen. This organization was no exception in its formation, despite aiming for a new reflection on the timeless job. Very heavily the organization is based off of shades and shadows; invisible motions that are omnipresent yet intangible. Though their presence is hidden, their repercussions are very real.
The names and titles of SHADAKI are meant to take a twist off of the imagination. The deeper levels of SHADAKI are engrossed in mythogical and metaphorical aspects that drive home the point that shinobi are capable of many things that civilians would deem 'impossible'. The organization falls nothing short of doing what can't be done. They are the elitists whose movements are precise and graceful like a bloody dance. The symbol of SHADAKI is a circular container in which a wave is held, much like the organization holding the land of Mists itself.
SHADAKI's true allegiance is the individual choice of the Eternal Typhoon; whether it be to the nation above all or the Mizukage. Considering the Mizukage has yet to be chosen when the organization was formed it was clear the allegiance was to the reformation and strengthening of Kirigakure no Sato in military and moral in order to find a prime choice for Mizukage.
This would be the wayward Hachinin of Kirigakure's true act of patriotism. Though under debate, Hisame Haruyuki left Kirigakure no Sato, worked in a foreign country and at times, worked against Kirigakure for the sake of learning the necessities of how to protect a village. For years he worked as a title-less black opt soldier, learning to appreciate the crux of how to be a savage tool, a weapon of destruction, an insurance of protection. Many men must take the pilgrimage of ambivalence to find his true beliefs. After witnessing the inner conflict personified by the DEATH civil war, Haruyuki made SHADAKI as a vow that Kirigakure no Sato would not crumble under his watch.
SHA.DA.KI. Rankings
- Shade
The first tier of SHADAKI members are designated as Shades. This is the most basic and temporary of all ranks of SHADAKI. Generally the members have such little clearance in the organization that they will never see the organization base, or anyone above the second tier of the organization. They are literally in the shadow of the organization itself. An average Chuunin will be able to be a Shade if they display interest and are deemed applicable. This is the only rank that one may pursue on their own interest and never have to make a real commitment to the organization. For their duration of stay, they serve as indentured servants, but if one is daring enough to take the job as a Shade, they are closely watched and repercussions could be severe. The job of a Shade is to work as an invisible hand by making reconnaissance, scouting and being couriers. They are the first lines of border defense and are the sacrificial scapegoats in extreme need bases. Though their tasks brandish them as the lowest puddle of mud, a Shade is given a handful of respect when opting in for such low level jobs. The sash of a Shade is plainly gray.
- Whisper
The Whispers are the second class of the SHADAKI, whom have been granted promotion for their dedication, skill advancement or special promotion upon joining. As their name suggests, members that are Whispers have matured from a muted shadow to an active voice. These members have been granted permission to see the inner workings of SHADAKI, their home base and know the fundamentals of the state's status. They are given special classes on previous elite defense organizations, their strengths, weaknesses and ultimate failures. Whispers are equipped with standard issue knives and blades, should they opt for such things. A Whisper's mission responsibility is information placement in the form of real or false information. If SHADAKI wishes to manipulative or skew perceptions, they will give a Whisper the tools needed to carry out such tasks. The missions they will go on are more dangerous than Shades because their danger will be hidden and in need of adaptability when it presents itself. The sash of a Whisper is the same gray sash a Shade has with the exception that a Whisper's sash has a smokey white line through the middle of the sash.
- Chimera; Lion
The highest tier a SHADAKI member can achieve before general status is Chimera. The Chimera is a symbol for a three headed creature (hence the three subsections) all attached to one body. In this respect, a Chimera is the strongest and most unified of all the classes of SHADAKI where the true and ultimate force of the organization lies. Each member of Chimera is given a ring that activates in accordance to a distress call made by the Kage or SHADAKI General. Chimeras are chosen for their accelerated skill in a specific area along with proficient abilities in the previous classes. All subsections within a Chimera are built to accommodate both team and solo mission so that the individual's strengths and weaknesses may be addressed and dealt with.
The Lions are primarily the brute muscle of the organization. Of all members, they are heavily solo based, able to hold their own on a battlefield without doubt. This is why their missions typical revolve around overseeing protection services and border control. If a position is needed to be held for reinforcements to arrive, a Lion will get the job done without batting an eye. They are the conquers, the destroyers and the mountain movers. The sash for a Lion is red with a golden lion embroidered.
- Chimera; Goat
The Goats are heavily team and tactic based. Goats are outfitted to be beneficial in any situation and are tossed into highly unpredictable areas and are expected to adapt. They have the highest concentration of puppet users, summoners and medics of the organization. Goats will carry out all the trapping missions. In preparation for intercepting enemy forces, a Goat will rig the entire battleground and if need be, make their own body a trap. The sash a Goat wears is dark blue embroidered with a silver goat.
- Chimera; Snake
Snakes are as slippery as their namesake. They are the most illusive of the three groups and most versatile when it comes to solo and team based missions. Snakes deal heavily in infiltration and interrogation. Though all groups are assassins in their own right, a Snake is highly specialized with this task. They are actors in the highest degree, living in the shadows and hiding in plain sight. Snakes will always get what they're looking for, one way or another. The sash of a Snake is white with a purple embroidered snake.
- Eternal Typhoon
The name Typhoon is pregnant with mythological symbolism. On one hand, Typhoeus (Typhon) was known as the "father of all monsters" and "The Immortal Storm", one of his offspring was the Chimera. His body was split between human and vile monster. The human side could stretch all across the sky with hundreds of dragon heads knit to his fingers to see all that was going on in the world. His body was so large he could brush across the stars. Typhoenus' bottom half was a large viper, his body was covered with fiery wings and his power made the gods shake with fear. In that respect, the General of SHADAKI has ears and eyes in all nooks and crannies of the organization. The General is the strongest member of all of SHADAKI and has reason to make those of the government fearful. The title Typhoon is awarded from leader to leader, hence making it an eternal title- always changing like the fronts of a chaotic storm. The Typhoon itself is a tropical cyclone that takes the ordinary environment and ties a specific recipe together to create a deadly storm. The Eternal Typhoon is the headmaster of SHADAKI, the overseer of everything it does. There are some state secrets only they alone will guard with their life. In most cases, the only replacement of this title is the death of its holder. The Eternal Typhoon's sash is comprised of dark blue, light blue and silver with cascading black lines running around the sash like a storm.
The Lunar Armada

The Lunar Armada is SHADAKI's personal maritime fleet of ships granted by the Umikaze Naval Alliance that are mostly hidden in unknown coves around the island and it has been rumored that Fort Zetsumei has a few ships in its harbor. Many of the ships are made from black walnut wood, giving them a strong ominous feel to them. The ships usually move during the night unless they are called for, giving them the name the Lunar Armada, moving while shadows fall.
The number of ships in the fleet are small in comparison to the Umikaze Naval Alliance, considering the LA is not the nation's military default. While the lesser ships are modeled in typical ship formation, the Monsagitos, or "The Mountans that Move" are formed with special characteristics that mark them as the most fearsome ships in the Armada.
The three Monsagitos are The Clotho, The Lachesis and The Atropos. They are impressively crafted in the mind of sea monsters and can even be beautifully firefighting. The Atropos is the flagship of the Lunar Aramada, commanded by the Eternal Typhoon and usually boarded by a Chimera Captain, if available. If one finds themselves serving aboard a Monsagito, they should do well to consider themselves in high regard especially if they've been trusted to keep their tongue.
