Resumo Brash, Kyoukage of Otogakure no Sato

Resumo Brash is the current Hachidaime (8th) Kyoukage of Otogakure no Sato, the ninja village of Denchi no Kuni. He is a man who controls his emotions, but feels strongly that one should feel them. This makes him an extremely compassionate, yet effective leader. He has shown many times that he can lead Otogakure no Sato and has the strength to make hard decisions for the greater good of the country itself. Brash has been the Kyoukage since Otogakure no Sato was freed from the Kumogakure Empire, and since then has lead the reconstruction and rebuilding of the countries devastated economy. He has been the center of much debate recently due to the drought and poverty issues that have been a rising problem in the small nation.

Biography

Resumo Brash grew up in Otogakure no Sato in the Country of Rice Fields. He had a relatively happy childhood with a single mother and his two younger sisters, Resumo Leira and Resumo Adustum. Brash graduated from the academy at the normal age of twelve, progressing to Chuunin only a year later and then again to Jounin only two years alter at the age of fifteen. He entered the Otogakure no Sato ANBU at an early age of seventeen, learning from his peers quickly and progressing in rank and authority with his sharp skills.

While a Chuunin, Resumo Brash was sent on a mission which ended in disaster. His squad leader and former Jounin teacher was killed before him by a monstrous attack that was directed at Brash himself. His teacher had given his life to protect him, when he had never even had a close relationship with the man despite learning from him. To this day, Brash wears a wooden cross similiar to the one his teacher had worn to remind him of what was given to him and what he should give to his own students.

During his time as an ANBU, Brash was given a leadership role at the age of nineteen and faced many hard decisions, some of which caused the loss of lives of people he had been close too. As a master of sound manipulation, he was praised as one of the most promising young ninja of his time, and was the youngest Jounin to be considered an elite in the village at the time. At the age of twenty one Brash began learning sealing techniques, studying under Tomoshibi Mikomi, the Kyoukage of the village at the time. Thought Mikomi never publicly claimed Brash as her pupil, he was considered by many to be so and the chosen successor to be the Kyoukage.

When the Kumogakure Empire invaded the Country of Rice Fields, Brash was still an ANBU squad leader and the supposed pupil of Tomoshibi Mikomi. So after Mikomi was killed in the battle during the invasion, the majority of the scattered Otogakure no Sato forces turned to Brash as their leader. Being a leader by nature, Brash easily fell into the role at the top of the resistance. He soon formed the Vocals Against Kumo (V.A.K.), the name of the resistance group in Otogakure no Sato. However, only a year after the resistance had been formed, it was disbanded during a raid by the NCIA.

After the disbanding of the V.A.K., Brash left the Country of Rice Fields and traveled the world. Though it is unknown exactly where he traveled during the time, it is known that he ended up in the Country of Earth where he met up with future Hachinin Cho Hakkai and Kinsen Raz. From the Country of Earth, Brash was able to use his abilities to aid the country in its own freedom, gathering the remaining Otogakure ninja and then leading a simultaneous attack on the Country of Rice Fields as the attention of the world was turned towards the Country of Fang and the resistance battles going on there. He was able to quickly overthrow the NCIA in a state of confusion, gaining control of the capital and ending the conflict for good.

Once the Kumogakure Empire was disbanded, Brash was named the 8th Kyoukage of the village, and continued to serve the country in the years to follow. He lead reconstruction efforts in the capital and made many attempts to battle the failing economy unsuccessfully. During the Otogakure Famine Riots of 2114 he was out on the streets himself, working along with ninja to secure and arrest the out of control citizens. Since then he has worked hard to maintain his image and to stabilize the country's growing problems.

Personality

Brash is very sensitive and motivated in his duties. He almost always has an answer to the problem and is able to make quick decisions in tough situations. He is compassionate to other's and their feelings and has strong believes of how people should rightfully use their power. He is a master of his own emotions, which is not to say he does not show them, but that he will only show anger when he is rightfully so. Though he strongly believes in feeling compassion for your enemy and allies, he also knows that the world requires difficult choices and that someone must make them when they come up. Because of this he will often seem ruthless, making decisions that may end the lives of others. However, he never takes the life of another person unless it is justified and is for a greater good. Brash strongly believes in accountability, that no one should ever point fingers and excuse themselves from their own responsibility. If it was within your power to help, then if you do not you are responsible for the outcome. With great power comes great responsibility.
