Birth

Tsuchigumo Kumono was born on October 19th 2104. During his excruciating forty-seven minute long birth, the density of his body was apparently too much for his mother, Tsuchigumo Yu to handle. With no one around with extensive enough medical knowledge, the birth had to continue on naturally. However, the boy was still stuck in the young woman's body. An emergency c-section was required, however, the nearest doctor was more than forty-seven kilometers away. Something had to give, and eventually it did.

Tears streaming down his face, Nampo would create a simple snake handsign with two sets of hands in order to focus his chakra in his upper body. Moments later, he used his third set to hold the woman's body still, as he would spew a bright golden liquid into his hands. Using his two free sets of hands, he would press into the liquid, causing it to harden and mold into four golden knives: two senbon and two kunai. Yu could only nod and accept her fate. First, he made two small incisions with his senbon. The woman winced in pain, and bit into her shirt to keep her from screaming. Blood trickled from these wounds, spilling onto the rocks below. Next, Nampo began to deepen these cut with the kunai, evening out the jagged cuts created by his senbon. This caused the trickle to After this, the hole was big enough for the baby to be pulled out. He then tossed all of the knives towards the mouth of the cave.

Nampo used two sets of his arms to pull the baby out of the corpse's body. Moments later, the heart completely stopped beating.

A baby was born..

"Kumono" Nampo said, as he slumped over his wife, clutching the small six-armed baby as the baby cried in his grasp.

• • Before Academy**

After his father finally muscled enough courage to tell Kumono what had happened to his mother, Kumono had already begun to finally inderstand and perfect his chakra control, and the use of his natural cellular abilities to excrete the golden webbing his bloodline is so well-known for. During this time, he also began training his hand strength and dexterity. Push ups with all three sets of hands, with two sets, then one set, Kumono trained his upper body so hard that eventually, he began to perform hundreds of one-handed push ups in all six of his hands. With all of his his physical prowess, however, Kumono could never understand how to detect or to use genjutsu. No matter how hard he tried, the concept of creating illusions or using chakra to fool the senses always evaded him. It didn't help that he was so literal either.

Pulling him aside, Tsuchigumo Nampo seemed to have a solution for his son's genjutsu failures. In his hands, he held a map to a secret section in the Otogakure cave system that housed a special breed of spiders. "What makes them special?" Kumono asked. "What would you do if you met a spider that was as big as your forearm and weighed as much as a puppy." His father asked. "Are you getting me a spider?" Kumono asked, as his eyes widened with the thought of getting one of his favorite animals. "No," his father responded, "but when you graduate the academy, you'll go on a journey to find your special friend. Warning though, their poison is one of a kind in the animal world. Although basic in chemical structure, it is one of the most corrosive poisons on the human body anyone has ever seen. I'd recommend you be careful whenever you go out there." Nampo told his son, as he handed him the map. Kumono took a look at the folded paper and put it on his dresser. He then turned to his father and gave him a rare smile, "Thanks Dad."
