Namikaze Clan Symbol

The Namikaze - Basic Information

Clan Name: Namikaze 波風
Country of Origin The Eastern Oceans
Current Location: Mizu no Kuni, Denchi no Kuni, Hi no Kuni
Clan Village: Kirigakure no Sato, Otogakure no Sato, Konohagakure no Sato
Clan Starter: Unknown, though Namikaze Bodaiju is credited with bringing the clan to prominence.
Clan Head: None. See "Clan Leadership" for more info.
Clan Age: Old - Their existence as a Clan predates the founding of Kirigakure.
Clan Status:

  • Village: Known - Respected
  • Country: Known - Respected
    • The Fell are often looked upon as a bit of a mixed blessing by the Shinobi of Kumogakure no Sato, for while the loyalty most Fell show to the Village Hidden in the Clouds is absolute, they use their gifts to see and finds things that some wish to stay hidden. Stoic and proud, most Fell are also very reserved by nature, making their true dispositions or motives hard to infer. Their cool personas, powerful bloodline, and the role they played in recent history have caused even proponents of Rai no Kuni to view them with some unease.
  • Continent: Known - Cautious/Hostile
    • Due to the War, a few members of the Clan have made established homes outside the borders of the Country of Lightening. While this behavior is frowned upon by the Clan Leaders, as long as such individuals do not threaten the safety of the Fell or their adopted homeland of Rai no Kuni, they are left in relative peace. However, if such a person was to ever disrupt the home and status the Fell have built for themselves, the “renegade” Clan member would be dealt with swiftly.

Clan Culture

Appearance

A typical Fell iris, showcasing the colorful, crystalline pattern with no pupil.

.eyes. One of the most distinguishing features of the Fell Clan are their bright, crystal-like eyes that are completely devoid of a pupil. There is no uniformity in color, which ranges throughout the known spectrum, and will often feature Rayleigh Scattering-esque variations, allowing irises to be two, or even three different vibrant shades. When their bloodline is active, their irises emit a soft glow due to the Chakra flowing through their system.

.hair. Their hair also has a tendency to lean towards the fair side, with the most prominent color being pure, stark white, though varying shades of silver or pale blond are also common. Like their eyes, unusual color shades are not uncommon, however, dark shades of brown and black are almost unheard of unless cosmetically changed.

.body type. In regards to body type, Fell are generally more lean then they are stocky, their long history of sensors and trackers putting more emphasis on a form that is compact and swift as opposed to large and powerful. Their skin, while naturally pale, does hold the capacity to tan, so there is little uniformity in skin tones.

Naming Conventions

Traditionally, the Fell naming convention has followed the first name, last name format, unlike most Clans or families in the ninja world. This is how it is kept in their personal records, however, other official documents will often reverse this to fit the more commonly accepted style of the world

  • Fun Fact: All NPC characters first names are references to the game of Chess.

Religious Beliefs

Fell are, for the most part, atheist. They do not worship deities or spiritual powers, and do not believe in an afterlife.

Clan Politics

Inner Village

Marriage outside of the Clan is unusual, but not unheard of, nor is necessarily frowned upon. The well being and future of the Clan is first and foremost, and if a member finds a suitable mate outside of the Clan, there is nothing preventing them from pursuing this relationship. To designate between full members [e.g. a Fell who possess the bloodline] from those who simply married into the Clan, the suffix "-ken, 結 [union]" is added to surname of those who wish to adopt the Fell name in place of their own. For example, if a member of the Sokudo Clan married a Fell, and wished to adopt the Fell name, it would be written as "Fell-ken" in all official Clan records. Similarly, if a child was born into the clan, but did not possess the bloodline [due to mixed blood, or a genetic fluke], their surname would also be designated as "Fell-ken".

Outer Village

The Fell Clan gives little regard to the goings of politics of any Country outside their own.

Clan Leadership

Much like a monarchy, the title of Clan Head has traditionally been an inherited role passed down a single line of the Fell Clan, from parent to child regardless of sex. While there is no official separation between "Head" and "Branch" families, the Fell have followed this policy since their arrival in Rai no Kuni with little to no dispute. Currently, Roi Fell sits at the head of the family, alongside his personally appointed advisers. Upon his death, his oldest son Karalis Fell is set to inherit the role.

In the case that the current ruling line were to fail, the closest living relative of the last Clan Head would inherit the title.
