Naming Conventions
Unlike many great Clans, the Namikaze do not pass on names from parent to child. Traditionally, it was considered bad luck to name a child after a relative, especially if their intended namesake was already deceased. It was far more likely for the parents to derive names as alterations of their own or other close family members. A notable example of this is Namikaze 'Raz' Rasen, whose first name is phonetically similar to that of his father, Raizen. However, this is by no means a given, and often times names between close family members bear little to no relation to each other.
The Namikaze often pulled inspiration from their environment, favoring names that had their etymological roots in words such as wind, water, and waves. Others chose names simple because they like the way it sounds, which has resulted in some extremely unorthodox names.
Religious Beliefs
Fell are, for the most part, atheist. They do not worship deities or spiritual powers, and do not believe in an afterlife.
Clan Politics
Inner Village
Marriage outside of the Clan is unusual, but not unheard of, nor is necessarily frowned upon. The well being and future of the Clan is first and foremost, and if a member finds a suitable mate outside of the Clan, there is nothing preventing them from pursuing this relationship. To designate between full members [e.g. a Fell who possess the bloodline] from those who simply married into the Clan, the suffix "-ken, 結 [union]" is added to surname of those who wish to adopt the Fell name in place of their own. For example, if a member of the Sokudo Clan married a Fell, and wished to adopt the Fell name, it would be written as "Fell-ken" in all official Clan records. Similarly, if a child was born into the clan, but did not possess the bloodline [due to mixed blood, or a genetic fluke], their surname would also be designated as "Fell-ken".
Outer Village
The Fell Clan gives little regard to the goings of politics of any Country outside their own.
Clan Leadership
Clan Leadership among the Namikaze is generally a lose affair. Both men and women are capable of holding the title of "Clan Head", and any adult has a say in Clan matters. The role of Clan Head was not hereditary, and any member could could be elected to the position. As a result, there are no "main" or "branch" families, and if there is not a pressing need for central leadership the clan may forgo appointing an official head in the even that a previous leader died or stepped down.
