Jutsu

Born into the world as Kinsen Rasen, Raz is the product of a Konohagakurian and Kirigakurian Namikaze leaving their homes in an attempt to start a new life together in Otogakure no Sato. In an attempt to lay low and avoid unnecessary conflict due to their lineage, his parents took the surname 'Kinsen' to protect their identities. Despite their origins, Raz's family was rather poor like most citizens living in Oto. Because of this, Raz lived a humble childhood appreciating what little he had. His single-minded dream to become a shinobi and carve out a life for himself would be cut brutally short when the NCIA Invasion began the day of his graduation from the academy. Despite having little to no formal training, Raz would go on to become a decisive figure in many of the most important theaters of the war, eventually becoming one of the eight shinobi known as the Hachinin. Now a Sennin of Otogakure, Raz acts as a stabilizing presence in the village despite tumultuous times. He is currently the leader of Team Oto.

Appearance

-Hair: What was once a fiery tuft of spiky red hair has evolved into a waterfall of magnificent crimson magma flowing from Rasen's skull. Flowing down past his back, the man has put special care into making himself presentable for all occasions with his newly held title of Hachinin. It's kept bound by a hair tie (Likely borrowed from Korin) that allows him to maintain it's movements somewhat by keeping it in a ponytail. The hair that actually remains on his head is slightly spiked, though far more tame than during his younger years.
-Eyes Due to possessing Heterochromia, Rasen has been gifted with two different colored windows to his soul. His right socket glows with a magnificent sapphire tint; the other, a glowing emerald glittering with value and charm. Although these shades of color are brilliant as is, the man carries a dark secret that occasionally shows through in his eyes. Due to the nature of his Cursed Seal placed upon him by the Gobi, Rasen carries a darker form of himself within the seal. During moments of increased aggression or anxiety even without the seal‘s full activation, his eyes begin to morph into two completely different shades. The blue in his eyes shift to a more sinister orange, while the green morphs into a bloody crimson. Yet the oddities do not simply halt at color. Within his irises, the boy's namesake can be clearly viewed- a spiral twisting and turning into the pupil. Each spiral is colored similar to that of his iris, but slightly darker, hence the ability to see them at all.

-Clothing:

Casual: Due his relative need for comfort in the home, Rasen wears a good deal of casual clothing when found wandering town or tending to his family. Though the number of possible outfits within his closet is quite large, especially considering Korin's ability to shop for days on end, there is one particular one that he finds most enjoyable to wear. It consists of a simple, long-cut shirt that is white with blue detailing on the hemming. Three lines run across the torso of the shirt, which in actuality act as straps to keep the shirt from opening it up, due to the design. The pants are of a smooth silk material that carries the trademark blue that Raz had worn up until the war effort had come to it's Exodus. It's relatively simple design is once again, merely used for comfort, though it gives the illusion of costing a great deal.

Formal: During the rare occasions Raz is required to ‘dress up', he does what he can. Being a fan of the classic suit and tie look, the man bought himself just that. The suit is a slim fit, mostly due to the general shape of his body. Black in color, the suit is hemmed to perfection, though it certainly looks a tad more sloppy due to the nature in which the man wears it. Preferring comfort, as usual, Raz keeps the suit coat open, revealing the white, collared, button down shirt with a pocket under the left breast. In addition to this, he adds a simple, final touch with a plain black tie that he admittedly cannot figure out how to get around his neck without Korin's help.

Ninja: Raz's shinobi gear is clearly a homage to the many influences in his life. After baring his father's long coat for five years, the young man decided to have one of his own tailored especially for him. Keeping the same design, Raz's long coat was instead colored a deep crimson- akin to the fiery red that flares off the top of is head as a tribute to Sarutobi Mari, the man who taught Raz the Rasengan. The collar goes up to about his cheek, while two black straps are weaved through it, dangling slightly from the folded material. These straps, when connected, can keep the jacket closed tight, though it still allows the coattails to billow in the wind. These straps are also found again on the wrist, where the coat has been folded back into cuffs to allow comfortable movement of the hand. On the back, an obsidian Namikaze spiral in back sits imposingly, ironically, right over where his cursed seal hides on his spine. This same design is used on both shoulders as well. In addition, at the very bottom, at the coat tails, a wind pattern akin to whirling clouds, colored charcoal, wraps around the hem of material. This design is akin to the flame pattern carried by Uzumaki Naruto on his sage coat, and was a tribute to him upon learning the Rasengan.

Underneath the coat is a black, form fitting, long sleeved shirt with the man's family symbol spiraling in crimson on his back and shoulders. In a way, it mirrors the man's long coat. In addition to that, the shirt itself also has a zipper going down from the collar to the bottom hemming. The material seems to be something akin to cotton, though it's thankfully not as itchy. As for pants, the man wears a simple pair of long khaki's that are eventually met by a pair of charcoal shinobi sandals. On his right thigh rides a kunai pouch with a plethora of assorted weapons, scrolls, and basic medical supplies. Finally, during more dangerous missions, the man wears his Otogakure Jounin vest over his shirt and under his open coat for protection.

-Physical Description: Due to bearing a body sculpted through years of war and strife, Raz wears many scars, but has managed to develop a good deal of muscle. No longer a scrawny child, the man has grown into a ninja of true worth. He had gained some vertical leverage over the years, finally allowing himself to look eye-to-eye with his Hakkai. His skin still remains a paler tint than average, but it's retains a luster that doesn't indicate any sickliness. His general physique still remains relatively unimpressive in comparison to taijutsu specialists, but that doesn't mean he's without his own growth. Due to his recent taking up of swordplay, Raz has gained quite a good deal of muscle in his biceps, as well as becoming a tad more nimble in addition. Though he doesn't proudly bare a six-pack, his stomach has tightened in his growth into adulthood ontop of his ninja training. Though the many injuries he's had over the years have become apparent visually, they haven't managed to slow him down in the long run yet, which he himself is quite thankful for. The wind master still carries a quaint smile upon his lips for his comrades at all times, acting as a indirect calming influence until he is angered. Finally, the black tornado seal of the Gobi still sits menacingly between his shoulder blades, threatening to break lose should Raz ever give into it's power.

Raz's eyes post-Destruction of Kusagakure

General Knowledge Available to Public; IC

• Raz has heterochromia.
• Raz has small spirals within the iris of his eyes. After the events of the Destruction of Kusagakure, one of Raz's eyes have shifted red due to the corruption of his cursed seal.
• Raz is one of the few remaining ninja capable of using the Rasengan, as well as the only PC. While he didn't learn it nearly as quick as Uzumaki Naruto, he did manage to complete it in less time then Sarutobi Mari.
• Raz has been marked by the Gobi, and thus, carries a cursed seal known as the 'Gobi no Fuuin: Kokuou no Iiguru' located between his shoulder blades. Within this seal lurks a mirror image of Raz with obsidian hair and one red eye, one orange eye. Upon full release, Raz's actual appearance morphs into this.
• Raz is arguably the most powerful wind user to date in the NA universe, even being remarked on by the Gobi.
• Raz has a unique 'mutation' that allows him to use a unique type of wind known as 'Silverwind'.

Private Knowledge; OOC

• Raz's chakra is inherently mono-elemental. Rather than possessing two elemental specialties, Raz only possesses wind. As such, he cannot learn the lightning element.
• Raz did not earn the Legendary Toad summon rights naturally. He actually ended up sneaking his signature onto the scroll while in Kusagakure no Sato. This is what sparked his rough start with Gamabunta.

Out of Game Knolwedge; OOC

• The name 'Rasen' was based off the spiral design in Raz's eyes. This was originally unique to Raz himself with absolutely no explanation as to how it cropped up in him. This was eventually changed once the idea of the Namikaze stuck, leaving Raz with a rather generic name considering his genetics.
• Raz's original surname, Kinsen, was always intended to be a false name created by his parents who tried to start a new life in Otogakure without drawing attention to themselves with their true last name. Raz's true surname, Namikaze, actually predates the reveal of Minato's name by almost two years (Minato's name was first mentioned in chapter 367, which was released towards the tail end of 2007), causing Raz's and the Namikaze clan's significance to be something born purely by coincidence. Ironically enough, the name Namikaze was still inspired by Naruto-related media, as Eechi-go first got it from one of the Naruto openings named 'Namikaze Satellite'. Of course, even then, the significance was unknown to everyone.
• Both Raz and Syaoran tend to exist as NA's measuring sticks for power. Both characters have powerful builds that allows for easy examples of how powerful skills and techniques can scale.
• Raz has actually died before. However, due to the cheating and abuse of power prior to and during the battle itself, Raz's death was allowed to be retconned into him merely suffering severe injuries that caused him to be hospitalized for a few months. Despite this, Raz will occasionally break the fourth wall in RP by lampshading his death.
