Asenaru Jaegu a ninja from Otogakure of the Tsuchigumo Clan. In a clan where the next era of evolution is based on the babies hatched from the Matriarch, Jaegu was the first to be borne from a human shinobi and the elite spider ninja of the clan, Gorma. During the NCIA, he was placed within their academies and flourished until the end of the empire and demise of his father. Having returned to his native home, Jaegu and his mother became subjects of disdain from the village ninja, as well as outcasts by the Tsuchgumo. Physical Description: Jaegu has battle hardened build from his training with the clan growing up, the scars from his extra eyes are now faint, but since he wears a form of eye coverings they are not as visible. His extra arms are connected to by his shoulder joint, which usually makes his arms look broader in definition.

Personality

Jaegu is a person of practical morality; the only thing which matters is the goal, the ways which you get to that specific goal doesn’t matter. Especially if it’s done for pay. Naturally lacking trust in people, once he holds you as a friend his loyalty is as strong as his commitment to a contract.

In his mindset, the lack of ryo in his life and the means in which he had to gain it only contributed to him simply wanting to amass a large amount to secure his life. Security required ryo, pleasure requires ryo, a nice place to sleep and a decent meal requires ryo, so to Jaegu, happiness and a long life require ryo. An easy way for him to do this is to collect items along the way. His trophies consists of weapons, artifacts, heirlooms, and anything which his victims carry on them which he could either sell or keep for later use.

History

It is rare for a baby born from a human and one of the Tsuchigumo Clan. Not that its unheard of, but the training of its members from youth focuses the idea of interaction with humans is as normal as a butcher and livestock. Most times the baby suffers from infanticide in order to cover up the scandal before news gets to the elders of the clan, other times the parents flee with the child and are hunted. The evolution of the clan lies in the matriarch of the clan, not from outside influence which is deemed interference from the dalliance with the weaker species.

Gorma, one of the clansmen sent to academy of Otogakure to bolster the ranks of the village based on their age old agreement, became an exemplary example based on his abilities. His innate Taijutsu abilities mixed with his skills in manipulating their golden webbing made him an enemy to fear. It was even said that he may be the one to meet the new maiden and start the new era, but those plans were dashed. The current matriarch, Abu, secreted away her maiden to Suna to later be dispatched in order to maintain power. Shin on the other hand held different plans.

Among his comrades from the academy was a weapons expert which he became close to. Asenaru Mai, a refugee from Kumo was a loner but the relationship grew between them from the constant sparring. Upon their promotion to Jounin, they were a recognized couple, with Jaegu born not long after that. As with the people of his father’s clan in the era, Jaegu was born with telltale six arms and the small set of telescopic eyes which made their aim impeccable and the complexion of soft features of his mother. When the news of his birth reached the clan, there was hesitation as to the next actions. Gorma was by this time the strongest fighter of his generation and respected by those in Oto, any move upon him would have a negative effect. So they allowed this scandal to continue since Abu didn’t feel as they were an immediate threat.

As Jaegu grew, it became apparent that his gained his prowess in Taijutsu from his parents, but his ability to create weaponry and webbing were lackluster, below average at best. He was enrolled at the academy where he met others of his father’s clan, where he was not recognized by them. Though unable to use his webbing as them, Jaegu was still able to use weaponry and Taijutsu which made him the least likely target of bullying.

The Kumo Invasion was swift, expanding upon their region before any real resistance could be attained. Gorma and Mai saw this as more of an opportunity than anything else. Recruited into NCIA while Jaegu was moved to the academies at Fang. There was not much of a problem in fitting in with the other children at the new academy, and Jaegu excelled on his team of other youth.

The news of the death of Gorma on a mission in Konoha was a shock to both Jaegu and Mai alike; also to that of the NCIA. A Jounin which never failed in a mission died in the flames of an odd forest called death. Along with the successful rebellions from the villages, the idea of the empire was no more, with the remnants granted amnesty once they returned to their villages. Although their crimes were forgiven, the sentiment of those in the village was different. Mai was given assignments at a less frequency because her supervisors wanted her to retire from service, and with less money they moved deeper into the slums of the village. Jaegu also fought a lot more against his fellow ninja and clansmen alike. It wasn’t until a few years later that all fears which Gorma placed in the hearts of Tsuchigumo was gone, and they came for their mixbreed pup.

An ‘unsanctioned’ assault came in the night, which the assailants held Jaegu down as they took a heated blade and burned his telescopic lenses out. They were next going to remove the extra limbs when in a last ditch effort, his mother fought to save his life. Mai dispatched the assailants while in the process suffering a mortal wound. When Jaegu regained consciousness, all which was left was the body of his mother cradling him. Once the ninjas came to investigate, Jaegu was taken to the hospital to recuperate while funeral arrangements were made.

Jaegu's mindset became harder, as he sought a plan to fulfill his desire for not only revenge, but then an escape from the life itself. To ensure that others did not recognize him at first sight, he started to wear various mirrored visors and glasses to hide his animate eyes and small scars on the sides of his face. He also wore clothing with resembled kimono tops to hide his extra arms. At times, he will even carry a weapon or two which had an dissuasive force towards possible aggressors, but first and foremost, he seen the world as nothing but a way to gain wealth.

Although most in the village seemed sympathetic to Jaegu’s plight, little in the guise of aid came his way. He still lived in the slums, little missions came his way, and with the drought and famine, resources were getting scarce. Even those of his father’s clan steered clear of him. Down on his luck, an opportunity in the guise of a job announced itself. One of the local bosses was looking to sure up their ranks with fighters on the part time basis to retrieve protection money from other establishments and future expansion. Accepting the job, he started on his quest to accumulating wealth.
