Genya no Ryouiki Countryside

Genya no Ryouiki, literally meaning the Region of Plains, is a rural set of farmland with small villages spread across great distances. The area is on the western border of Tsuchi no Kuni and sits between two mountain ranges to the north and south. Life is rather uneventful in this area, even with the Wild West on their back porch most never see or hear of any news from beyond their farming grounds. Life is simple and so are the people, this goes even for the ruler of their land Tokugawa Ieyasu. Ieyasu is the most current of a long line of rulers for the small region who hold no real power over the citizens aside acting as their official voice in the councils of Metropolis. The Daimyo is, in fact, a metaphorical title that has remained because no one quite cares enough to remove it from the royal family. However, this does not keep the Tokugawa line from inflating their egos, often to the annoyance of those who live around them.

Genya no Ryouiki Village

Overall, the land is peaceful and quiet. The network of villages trades amongst each other so that they are self reliant for all of their essentials. They have been known to openly trade with bordering regions and even at times of harvest send their goods to Metropolis and Iwagakure no Sato to be sold in the large markets.
