Kinteki 'Momo' Akila
Like many a Jinchuuriki before her, Kinteki 'Momo' Akila was born into this world after the death of her parents who sacrificed themselves to save the village. As host to the Hachibi, Momo has always had big shoes to fill. Though she lost her family at infancy, she found a new family in Momochi Rakurai and Inabikari Raikou, looking up to them as brother and father figures respectively. The two men guided her through her awkward and difficult teenager years until their inevitable demise in Kiba no Kuni during the last days of the war. Their deaths shook her to her core, leaving a giant hole in her heart that was filled with anger towards the world for taking away her family twice. As the Jinchuuriki of Kumogakure no Sato, she is well known throughout the villages, though none have ever survived in combat against her, making her a bit of an enigma in battle.

Trademarks
- Momo's heart-shaped eyepatch. It is rare that a Kumogakure shinobi does not have a lost eye replaced with a cybernetic alternative, so her eyepatch has become part of her persona and has earned her the alias 'Blackheart'.
- Her two-toned hair. As she fell into deeper depression, she continued to dye her hair darker and darker, with only a little bit of her natural color showing through anymore.

- Momo has an older brother named Kinktei Kaizen who died before she was born.
- Momo was part of a three-man cell with Inabikari Kaizen and Quo prior to the latter's demise. The team was lead by Momochi Rakurai
- Momo has never had very much success with men. Many people are terrified of getting with a girl who has a demon watching within her. As such, most of her 'relationships' never last past a month.
- Momo did play a part during the initial Kumogakure Invasion, however, all of the opponents she faced were killed, and no one but fellow Kumogakure shinobi can confirm her presence on the battlefield.
- Momo did NOT play a part in the final battle in Fang. This was due to the fact that Inabikari Raikou believed that the stress of losing the city would result in her becoming uncontrollable, resulting in the death of everyone.
- Momo actively speaks out against Tokeiza Jishin and his pacifistic practices, but does not do so because she believes Kumogakure should remain offensive. She detests the Raikage and believes he is not worthy of wearing the hat that touched Inabikari Raikou.

- The name 'Momo' was born from an exchange between the young Jinchuuriki and Momochi Rakurai when she was younger. After showing distaste in her own name, the girl clung Rakurai's surname due to how much she looked up to him. Amused yet honored, Rakurai would jokingly inform her that the only way she could have his name would be to either be born into his family or get married. To that, the young, innocent girl proclaimed that she would one day marry Rakurai in order to take his surname as her own. Tickled by her persistence, Rakurai would come to a compromise with the little girl- she would take on half his surname as a nickname, and she would earn the rest of it once she was older and they got married. This playful banter stuck for a lifetime, and thus, 'Momo' became her name.
- Many people in Kumogakure believed that Momo and Momochi Rakurai had a 'thing' behind the scenes. However, neither would confirm or deny this rumor.
- Momo briefly dated Sensukai Sato.
- Momo is a bit of a puma.
- Momo is a wielder of 'Black Lightning', though she mixes it with the Hachibi's ability to produce ink in order to create a unique form of 'liquid lightning'.
