Clothing: Renzukan comes across as an unrefined sort of person at first glance. He prefers simple and functional styles when it comes to clothing. His color scheme of choice is earthen tones and consists mostly of browns and dark greens. His forehead protector, which is worn in the traditional fashion, consists of the standard metal plate with his village’s symbol on a light brown bandanna. He has not taken this accessory off (with exception to bathe) since graduating from the academy. Though he prefers to be barefoot, he knows the value of a good pair of shoes and always wears a pair of lightweight boots when on official shinobi business. His tool pouch, containing his kunai, shuriken and other essentials, is worn on his right thigh where he can access it easily.
Physical Description: He has a plain appearance and would not stand out in a crowd if not for the vibrant orange of his eyes. His coffee colored hair is kept short and well-maintained, whether that be combed to one side or slicked back and hidden under his bandana. Though he has started to grow facial hair, he keeps it shaved for the time being, not wanting to grow a scraggly-looking patch of hair on his face.
Beneath the earthen tones that usually adorn his body, Renzukan’s skin is tanned from his time outdoors. He has a handful of identifying marks on his body such as a few scars on his back and three rings tattooed on each forearm. These rings are a light blue in color and an inch thick with just as much space in between them, starting just above his wrists.
History
Born during the height of Kumogakure’s campaign to conquer the world, Renzukan knew nothing of what life was like beforehand. He was born to a pair of Sunagakure’s Chuunin who both died shortly afterwards in battle. Renzukan, never having known his birth parents, was adopted by Tagera Rin. Rin was a medical shinobi at the time and took the boy in to raise him as her own. She was as good a mother as any child could ask for; feeding, clothing, housing, and supporting the boy in any way she could.
Renzukan repaid her kindness with all the rebelliousness he could muster. Though she saw him as her son, he occasionally found himself wondering about his biological mother and, in turn, resenting Rin for her death. He knew it wasn’t her fault, but he couldn’t help how he felt at times. Despite the resentment that would creep into his thoughts, he truly cared for the woman. How could he not?
It wasn’t long before it would become obvious that Renzukan was destined for the path of the shinobi. It was apparent to anyone that know the boy that he needed something to channel his anger. At the age of seven, once Suna had been freed from Kumo’s grip, he would have his chance. His training at the academy seemed to do the trick. He applied himself to his training like nothing before. Renzukan gave his training everything. He practiced diligently and studied harder than he ever had in his life. It didn’t take long for him to realize that he was more fitted to Ninjutus and Taijutsu than he was for Genjutsu.
An outsider might have thought that he enjoyed it, but Rin knew that he tried so hard because he wanted to make his parents (all three of them) proud. It wouldn’t be enough for him to just graduate—he needed to prove to himself that he was worthy of his family’s legacy, whatever that might be. He had been born to two fierce warriors and raised by the kindest and strongest woman he’d ever met. It was not in him to let those people down.
While at the academy in Suna, Renzukan developed the first few real relationships he had ever had with kids his age. His temper and his willingness to fight had always lent poorly to making new friends. Now that he had an outlet for his aggression and was surrounded by people of similar mindset, he could make real connections.
