Tsukishi Maomi, a haunting memory.

Tsukishi Maomi was a Jounin of Iwagakure no Sato. She was a teacher and field operative for the village, but abandoned the village and took safety in Kusagakure no Sato during the Kumogakure Empire conflict. She was present at the Battle of Nigiyakashufu and was killed by Inabikari Raikou; it is argued that her death was what started the combat between Raikou and the Hachinin, the fight which ended the Kumogakure Empire. Tsukishi Maomi was also a member of the Council of Iwagakure no Sato as well as the Jounin instructor for Alchem Syaoran, the current Tsuchikage of Iwagakure no Sato. She always wore a silver necklace with a simple silver ring around it, a gift from her twin brother.

Biography

Somewhere in the Earth country, two kids were born to a couple, the father from the Tsukishi family and their mother from the Kouketsu family. The children were twins; the boy was named Tsukishi Yhet Hyang, while the girl was named Tsukishi Maomi. As time passed by, the twins two could not be separated because they felt a strong bond with each other, growing up side by side with very few other friends. They family grew up in the countryside, away from the problems of the world and sheltered by their parents in a world that was much harsher than they could imagine. At a rather early age, both were taken to Iwagakure no Sato and enrolled into the academy to learn the basics of being a ninja. Since they were learning the basics they had classes together for a while, but as time went on, most of their classes were separated by sex. Around this time puberty was kicking in and the two twins would begin to grow apart.

After graduating from the academy, Maomi was placed into Team 8 with a strong female Jounin. Maomi grew to like this Jounin and looked up to her as a role model; causing her to train harder and become stronger. Soon her training was taking up most of her days, causing her to spend less and less time with the twin she had been so close too. Yhet Hyang was also becoming wrapped in his own world, increasing the gap between them. After three years of training, Maomi was entered into the Chuunin Exam; the same year Yhet was entered into the exam.

Both Maomi and Yhet passed the exam and became Chuunin at the age of fourteen. Both of them had accomplished the same task separately, at the same time. Unfortunately, this did not bring them back together and they continued taking on more responsibility with missions and teachings at the academy.

When Maomi was sixteen she was teaching an academy class at night when she began to feel ill. Leaving the academy early, she headed home to get some rest. On the way back however, three older Genin who had failed to pass the Chuunin Exam for a number of years cornered her near a bar. They were clearly intoxicated and on a power trip from the mixture of failure and alcohol that they had ingested. Though Maomi was of a higher rank and skill than each of them, her illness prevented her from stopping a genjutsu that she got trapped in by one of the young men. The men took Maomi into an alley while she was helpless in the genjutsu, but a passerby had seen the three and Maomi and had decided to tell a nearby guard post. It just so happened that the guard on duty that night was Yhet, and when he arrived he was able to stop the three before their molestation had turned into rape. Broken from the genjutsu, Maomi was able to see her brother try and apprehend two of the three. The third went to leave, but instead grabbed a piece of wood from the nearby trash and swung it at Yhet as he clasped cuffs on two of the three. Yhet was knocked to the ground, but Maomi had already moved and with her speed she was able to disarm the third man and knock him to the ground with a swift motion, stopping a second attack on the already dazed Yhet. The three were arrested and stripped of their rank and duty. Maomi found a new appreciation for her twin and they finally started to mend the gap that had started to grow between them. Over the next few months the two would become inseparable friends again.

Maomi would be raised to Jounin rank at the age of twenty two, a year before her brother. Taking missions for her first few years, she would long for her role at the academy as a Chuunin. When Maomi was twenty four she would take her first Genin team, a team made up of Alchem Syaoran, Shimo Kadiska, and Chain Figaro. At the age of twenty six she was brought into the Council Iwagakure no Sato, a position she would hold until her untimely death.

During the Kumogakure Empire rule, Maomi had fled on her own to the rural areas of Kusagakure no Sato. She stayed there for years until news of Iwagakure no Sato's independence reached her. She headed back to the village just in time to prepare for the Battle of Nigiyakashufu. Flying with her former student Alchem Syaoran into the city of Nigiyakashufu, she took a major role in the invasion of the city and the fall of its forces. She was present when the Hachinin faced off against Inabikari Raikou, the former Raikage. As the forces prepared to engage the Raikage, Maomi was struck down as a response to Alchem Syaoran's request that he surrender the fight. A single blast of faster than sound lightning tore a fist sized hole through her heart, killing her almost instantly.

Personality

Maomi was a very cheerful and optimistic personal, always finding the best in any situation. She got much of her temperament from her mother; beautiful, caring and loving. From her father she got her seldom violent mood swings. Overall, she was patient and very motherly with her students, holding them dear to her heart as if they were her own. Even if those students caused her to become irritable, it was always out of her love for them. Because of her close relationship with her brother, she often quoted things he had said that related to the task at hand.
