Welcome, brave young shinobi....for you have entered the Role-Playing world of Ninja Academy! The first thing you need to do to get started on your journey is to create a ninja in your own fashion so you can start Role-playing. In this section, you will get a tutorial on how to create a young gennin that suits you best. Let's face it....not everyone is about big explosions or super-human speed. It's all about preference. And this tutorial will teach you what you need to know in order to have a character that fits you best. Let's begin then!

Here in the User Data section, it's pretty self explanatory. Just put your username that you use for the Ninja Academy site, how much you intend on posting, and what time zone you are in. The time zone is used so we can put you into a team that you will most likely be on the same time with. Ok, moving on.
~User Data~
-Username: (Account Name)
-Posting: (How often can you post: once a day, every weekend, etc...)
-Time Zone: (so we can pair you up with people that will post the same time of day)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In this next part you put the name of your character, the village he originates from, what clan he comes from, and their age. Let's get into details a little. For the name, you have to put your surname first. If you do not know what that means, I shall explain it. Think of your surname as your last name. It is in Japanese culture that the "last" name actually comes first. Take Naruto for example. They don't call him Naruto Uzumaki...his surname comes first, so they call him Uzumaki Naruto. Get it? Good. Next is what village you come from. If you're not sure what villages there are to pick from go to the section labeled "villages" and the list will be there. Just put what village you want to be put in and it MIGHT happen...unless the village is full. Then you have your clan name. Now you don't NEED to have a clan, but if you want a bloodline limit or special clan techniques you need one. It's kind of like how Sasuke's clan was the Uchiha. It's a little different than just having a family....think of it as having extended family. Whether or not you have a clan is entirely up to you. Then finally, the age of your character. Just put any age between 9 and 20, and you should be fine. That's about it. Next section.
Name: (Character's Name, with surname first)
Village: (What village your character is in)
Clan: (Your clan’s name, and a link to its page)
Age: (How old your character is, you can be any age from 9-20)
This next part is self explanatory. Just describe your character's appearance using the options below. If you deem it necessary, draw a picture of your gennin, put it on a photobucket.com account and link it to your character page. Ok, next section.
~Appearance~
-Height: (How tall your character is)
-Weight: (How much your character weighs)
-Hair Color: (What color your character’s hair is)
-Eye Color: (What color your character’s eyes are/eye is/thought to be)
-Clothing: (What your character wears)
-Physical Description: (Body build, skin tone, any scars, etc.)
This next section you MUST put the most care into when creating your character. The Story/background is what gets your character approved most of the time. We are more likely to accept a character with an interesting background with lots of detail rather than the ordinary "Jo-shmo" character with absolutely no detail in the background. One thing you can do to make your character's story more interesting is to possibly put in dramatic or life-changing events that happened to your gennin to set him on his life goal. Keep in mind, DO NOT always make your character the last of an almost extinct clan....we do not want too many Sasuke-like characters on the site. Also, not having parents in general is very annoying. We would really appreciate it if you do have parents. Having no parents is a tell tale sign or a "Jo-shmo" character and gets you bad looks from the approval staff. And just make sure you add TONS of detail to the story and background. We love people that use detail....it means they usually role-play very well. Then we have your character's personality. Describe IN DETAIL what they are like in general. Are they a loner? Are they a people-person? Just put stuff like that and you should be good with that. Finally we move into likes and dislikes. You don't have to put too much here, but here's a hint: make your character quirky. Meaning, give them little likes/dislikes that make them unique. For example, are they deathly afraid of fungus or do they not like to take showers because it's against their religion? It doesn't always have to be humorous, but just make them quirky...it makes RPing all the more fun! ^^
Story/Background: (Your character’s story)
Personality: (What your character is like)
Likes: (What your characters likes)
Dislikes: (What your characters does not like)
Another self explanatory section. Just fill in the following of what is your character's favorite of that subject. Pretty easy, right? Ok, moving on.
~Favorite~ (What’s your character’s favorite…)
-Food:
-Color:
-Music Genre:
-Book Genre:
-Hangout:
-(Anything else you would want to add):
*these are NOT a requirement, but add more flavor to your character*
This is the most important section other than the Story/Background. Here is where you keep track of your gennin's stats. The first thing you put is your level. It starts off at ZERO (0), but as your level increases, you must come back to your character sheet to edit it. Next we have your TXP (total experience), which is where you put all the experience points you earn. I must mention that your experience stacks on itself, meaning you never reset it back to zero...it keep going up. Once you have a certain amount of experience, you then level up. Pretty simple, right? Then we move onto the complicated part....your gennin's stats. When you first create your character, you have 500 stat points to spread out anyway you see fit. But I must recommend you try not to even out the points between all the stats....cause if you have nothing but 50 for each category, then your character won't do very well later on. Try to have your gennin focus on one or two things. For example, if you are someone that likes to weaken your opponent’s stats before you attack, you will most likely want to focus your stat points on genjutsu, rather than taijutsu. If you like to use "spells" to damage your opponents, then Ninjutsu is the route you want to take. If you just like to smash things....then Taijutsu is the way you want to go. I must add though...DO NOT try to make your gennin like Rock Lee and have him with locked Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Some techniques your jounin might teach you later might require Ninjutsu...and if you can't use it, that means your jounin has to think of a special technique just for you...which will in turn, slow down progress of the team. So....don't leave out any of the stats....or you'll regret it. But if you must, go ahead...you have the freedom to do as you like with your character. Ok, if you didn't understand the explanation of this section, PM an Admin or a Moderator....they'll try and tell you what you need to know. One more thing...as you level up, you must edit your stat points on your character sheet accordingly...don't forget.
Ninja Stats
Level: (Your character’s current level) (starts off at ZERO)
TXP: (total exp. All exp you gain, stacks onto itself)
-Stats (out of 500)-
(Health Power) 0
(Stamina) 0
(Chakra) 0
(Taijutsu) 0
(Defense) 0
(Ninjutsu) 0
(Resistance) 0
(Genjutsu) 0
(Concentration) 0
(Speed) 0
(Accuracy) 0
(Evasion) 0
The next section is where you list the skills and techniques your gennin knows. The thing you need to know about skills is they always have some sort of cost. Some are costs that use up your characters skill points making it so you can have less skills, while some give you skill points (skills that negatively affect your character but give you more skill points to use). As long as you have skill points, you can have more skills if your skill points are used up, then you cannot have more skills unless you take up a negative trait (mentioned above). Next we have techniques. When you first make your gennin, you always start off with techniques that were taught to you in the academy. These include Bunshin No Jutsu, Henge No Jutsu, and Kawarimi No Jutsu. They are already provided on character sheets, so you don't need to worry about those. Upon creation of your character, you may start off with two regular jutsus from the technique section on the main Ninja Academy site, and one personally created jutsu. Once again, if you have any questions, feel free to ask an admin or moderator. Ok, next section.
Skills: (Checkout the General Skills page) (you start off with +2 points)
Techniques: (Check out the technique page)
Basic Academy Jutsus: (Gained automatically upon character approval)
Name: Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 10 Genjutsu
Description: Creates an illusionary replica of the user. It is unable to attack or interact with other objects, but can serve as a good distraction.
Damage: None
Effects: Adds +5 evasion and +5 accuracy for each clone. Once a clone is hit it is destroyed, and the bonuses with it.
Name: Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique)
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 5 Genjutsu
Description: Wrap chakra around your body to change your appearance. You can still use the features of the thing you can become, e.g. use the claws of a clawed animal, but not to the extent of if you were that thing.
Damage: None
Effects: Change your appearance.
Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Substitute Technique)
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 10 Ninjutsu
Description: A lifesaver, and a must-have technique. With this technique, the user is able to swap their body with a nearby object, usually a log, which will take the full force of any incoming blows for them, while they retreat to safe ground or search for an opening. You can only use this 3 times per battle.
Damage: None
Effects: Evade the next attack aimed at you. You are unable to attack the opponent the turn you use this. You can only use this 3 times per battle. This technique cannot be used to dodge Ninjutsu, Taijutsu or Genjutsu Techniques.
Other Jutsus: (you may start with up to two) (personally created jutsus MUST be approved in the Jutsu Creation forum.)
Next we have Armor, Weapons, Items, and Animals. For armor you don't have to worry about it till later one when you can afford to buy armor. BUT, every MUST start off with a Village Amulet (you know...they things they wear around their foreheads >.>). You are allowed to wear it ANYWEAR on your body (but be reasonable), but wearing it is a requirement. Then we have weapons...which you don't start off with. You must buy these, so don't worry about it till you make more money. Then you have items. Everyone starts off with 3 kunai, 3 shurikens, and/or 4 needles. Everyone also starts off with $25 on hand and $100 in the bank. When you receive a new piece of armor, weapon, item, or money...you MUST edit it onto your character sheet. This helps you keep track of what items you do or don't have. For animals, you can either buy later on or you may start off with one (WITH permission). Most of the time, animals deal with clans, so try not to worry about it. It's not mandatory. Ok, final section.
The final section contains all of your logs, which you must constantly update. For the update log, you must put when your character was approved and by what moderators/admin, whenever you level up, and whenever you earn experience. For the money log, you must put whenever you earn or spend money. You must also put who approved your gaining/spending money. Finally, there is your mission log. Whenever you complete a mission, you must put it in your mission log. If you complete a D rank mission, put it in the D rank mission section. If you complete an A rank mission, put it in the A rank mission section. Pretty easy. Ok we're done!
