MAC Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 (edited) ~User Data~ -Posting: at least once a day -Time Zone: Eastern ~Basics~ Name: Aburame, Yasuragi Village: Konohagakure no Sato Nationality: Konohagakure no Sato Clan: Aburame Age: 14 Gender: Male Allegiance: Resistance ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Appearance~ -Height: 5’4 -Weight: 121 -Hair Color:jet black styled to the front brushing his goggle slightly -Eye Color: black iris and bloodshot (he always wears his black goggles) -Clothing: Yasuragi clothes himself with a long pea colored coat covering all the way down to his boots, cutting off at the neck, and are sleeveless. The jacket is loaded with zippers, pouches, and strings. He sports heavy black boots that have his initials engraved in white, white laces, several zippers on them, and cut off at a high shin position. He wears black, leather fingerless gloves with a steel plate directly above the palm. Yasuragi’s coat also has a tail which splits in the back where his legs conjoin at the pelvis. He also has a pair of black goggle which do around the head and are connected by a thin strap lost in his hair. -Physical Description: His face is a pasty white but his exposed limbs are a light tan. His only visible muscles are his arms which have a slight build, but his coat hides a fairly built man not ripped but dangerous. His face reveals a scar from a training accident. His face is slender and his body has the right amount of muscle and fat to support his height. His over all appearance, to most, is mysterious. It's neither welcoming or threatening. This is partially because of his clan's nature. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~History~ Background: Aburame, Yasuragi was raised by a loving family and was cared for by the members of the Aburame clan. He was deeply influenced by the ninja that had the ability to utilize bugs for attacks and self-defense. Yasuragi, at the age of 5, began to train with his newly injected Kikai hive. He slowly learned to maneuver the insects into doing his bidding. The clan members taught him how to deploy his hive and withdraw them when needed. The young Aburame suddenly became ill near the age of 8. His illness was unknown to the villagers and he was deprived of valuable training time. It was that that one of the Kikai hives had snagged something unhealthy for the host when it was deployed and ailed the young boy.The clan members and citizens of the Konoha visited his bedside daily and expressed the grief for him. Some of the symptoms of his illness were hot flashes, short term paralysis, extreme headaches that caused him to scream out loud in agony. The torment never seemed to end and he was greatly disappointed at the fact that others were advancing while he was lying there in pain. Some days he would attempt to escape it all and go train, but he made it only a few feet before collapsing. Yasuragi became gradually better in few years and resumed his training. He enrolled in the academy at 10 to better prepare himself for future events. His experiences there were some of the best days of his life. Yasuragi was exposed to many new and wonderful things and gained a much needed reputation as earnest and hardworking. He gained allies and few enemies. He also began to appreciate the nature of his being. He was blessed to be in his position. He had health, youth, and a promising future on his side. One particular day, Yasuragi was training with the rest of his classmates. They were learning the basics of weapon throwing and attempted to accurately hit targets. Yasuragi picked up a kunai and hurled it into the air. The sound of air splitting pleased him but the results did not. It ricocheted off a tree limb five feet over and slammed into the ground. Humiliation flooded his body and his face grew hot with embarrassment, for most hit the target on their first try. Yasuragi trudged over to his weapon and heaved it out of the ground. Reluctantly, he walked back to his position. He grabbed concentrated hard, closed his eyes and threw the kunai once again. A familiar humming noise opened his eyes to reveal his chakra bugs. They carried the knife to the target sending the weapon straight through. This pleased Yasuragi greatly. The labor bore fruits and he became a Gennin. Though he had more to master, Yasuragi had succeeded in mastering the basics at twelve. Around this same time the invasion took place. Yasuragi’s parents sent him off to an unknown village to him where he stayed with distant relatives that were safely away from the traumatic events. Yasuragi's parents were, to others, over protective and this is an example of there extreme behavior. His parents sent strict orders with him that he should remained locked up and hidden from the outside world. He stayed with his aunt and uncle. His time spent there, his relatives locked him in the dark and dank cellar with literally no sun. His meals where slid through at slot in the door and his excrement were stored in jars which were replaced every so often. Yasuragi was on the brink of insanity grasping the little sun light that came through the cracks. His uncle decided that this extremist idea was absurd and that he was safely distanced from the drama. He allowed Yasuragi to go to the local training grounds to stretch his legs out and keep the training in his mind fresh. The sudden exposure to the light overwhelmed him and his aunt bought him a pair of black goggle, which Yasuragi never removed again. He spent time in the town area doing odd jobs to gain more allies and tone his muscles through hard labour. Still, little is known of the events that took place there. A few months rolled by and Yasuragi had hit the age of 13. He traveled back to his home and in retaliation to the unfortunate event joined the Resistance. He didn't think it over entirely, but it was his will to rebel at this time. This decision was made because he again had been deprived of precious training time, although he did train a little during his absence. His family threw an extravagant celebration upon his return. Yasuragi spent some time getting reacquainted, but this soon ended. He trained day after day, with his ninjutus and taijutsu. His life was focused on work and work only. Yasuragi felt as though he was still put at a disadvantage for loss time and forcefully worked to regain what he rightfully deserved. The results of his hard work and relentless training paid off in the long run. The Aburame set a life goal for himself the following year (14 years of age). Aburame, Yasuragi was determined to protect the clan’s name and bring honor to his clan. Yasuragi was taught the ways of the Aburame and had gained the technique Tegatai Haibi (scroll down for specifics) and learned many uses for it. Yasuragi also tapped into a side of him that had never been awakened. He became a scholar and a sucker for women. The habits were bad. He's sometimes lock himself in the house and read/study day in and day out just for pleasure. Yasuragi found himself addicted to puzzles and problems. His interests spread and his I.Q. shot up a few points. As for his pervert self, he stalked women, drew women, and occasionally went out with women, though he preferred to admire from a far. It wasn't so much that he was dirty, more in the sense that Yasuragi deeply appreciated the women in his village and their form intrigued him in a unique way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Persona~ Personality: Yasuragi is not like most. He is very witty and calm. He prevails in most things that he does through honest hard work. You could say he is a likable guy. He tends to get along with most but prefers solitude. Yasuragi is also extremely loyal to the people he is close to. He tends to talk little because he is usually occupied with training, studying, and things of that sort. It is unlikely, though, that he doesn't care for the casual verbal engagement. Yasuragi is a very determined soul and stays focused. Likes:Bugs, nature, learning new techniques, reading, drawing, practicing, talking, his clan, Resistance(sorta), women, and more bugs! Dislikes: People who kill without valid reasons, show-offs, being lazy, loud mouths, poorly cooked food, and spiders (they eat bugs) ~Favorite~ -Food: rice balls and ramen -Color: Black and green -Music Genre: rock and classical -Book Genre: fictional, the occasional graphic novels, and non-fictional -Hangout: any where he’s welcome: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ninja Stats Rank: Gennin Level: 2 TXP: 229 To Next Level: -Stats(out of 700)- (Health Power) 100 (Stamina) 40 (Chakra) 120 (Taijutsu) 80 (Defense) 60 (Ninjutsu) 80 (Resistance) 20 (Genjutsu)-sealed- (Concentration)20 (Speed) 60 (Accuracy) 60 (Evasion) 40[+20] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Skills~ Skill Point Tally: 5 Remaining Skill Points: 2 Skills~ Name: Internal Infestation Contract Restrictions: Taken Upon Character Creation Requirements: N/A Effect: This character gains an amount of Kikai Hives equal to their age upon taking this skill, this effect only triggers on character creation. Description: Upon birth, members of the Aburame Clan are entered into a contract with the Kikai, or destruction bugs. These bugs feast on the chakra of their host as a parasite, but in return the Kikai are able to be controlled with a simple thought and a surge of chakra. Within the cavities of the body of any Aburame member can be found swarms of the bugs crawling about: forever eating and breeding. The signature of the clan, the Kikai are ferociously hostile to anything that is not a host of them. Cost: -1 Name: Insect Control; Tentative Requirements: Internal Infestation Contract Restrictions: N/A Effect: Allows use of the Gennin-level Aburame Clan techniques for this character. This character’s base regeneration for Chakra is raised by 1%; this skill stacks with other Insect Control skills. Description: Just learning to use the Kikai can be a chore in and of itself, however, it becomes easier as time passes. Better control allows for additional spare chakra and the ability to use the destruction bugs in the secret techniques of the Aburame Clan. Though this bond is still fragile and flimsy, it is the first step towards instantaneous reaction and deployment of the Kikai swarms contained within the body. Cost: -1 Skill Name: The Path of the Scholar Description: Although quite rare, a few Ninja proceed down the path of the scholar, spending a lot of time in research and in trying to understand the world around them. These Ninja are not to be underestimated, however, as they can be quite deadly. Effect: Character gains 1 extra Jutsu Point per level Scholarly Mastery: Choose Two: -May gain 2 'Subtle Elements' skills for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 ranks of 'Merchant' for 1 skill point. RP Guide: -Acute knowledge of the world around them. This ninja has studied their world through many ways and is a quick mind when it comes to absorbing knowledge. With a keen eye for detail and a photographic memory to boot. This does not, however, mean they are good at processing this information. Restriction: -Players can only apply this path to characters which actually spend a portion of their time, or have spent a portion of their time, studying in a scholarly sort of fashion. Cost: -1 Skill Name: Subtle Elementals (Water and Earth) Effect: You may learn an elemental jutsu that is not from your village (IE: Fire jutsus in Mist village). Remember that you must specify which element you bought with this skill (Fire, Mist, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Grass, Sound) Cost: -1 Skill Name: Merchant Effect: You get a 10% discount at stores. It is unable to attack or interact with other objects, but can serve as a good distraction. Damage: None Effects: Adds +5 evasion and +5 accuracy for each clone. Once a clone is hit it is destroyed, and the bonuses with it. Name: Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique) Type: Genjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 5 Genjutsu Description: Wrap chakra around your body to change your appearance. You can still use the features of the thing you can become, e.g use the claws of a clawed animal, but not to the extent of if you were that thing. Damage: None Effects: Change your appearance. Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Substitute Technique) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 10 Ninjutsu Description: A lifesaver, and a must-have technique. With this technique, the user is able to swap their body with a nearby object, usually a log, which will take the full force of any incoming blows for them, while they retreat to safe ground or search for an opening. You can only use this 3 times per battle. Damage: None Effects: Evade the next attack aimed at you. You are unable to attack the opponent the turn you use this. You can only use this 3 times per battle. This technique cannot be used to dodge Ninjutsu, Taijutsu or Genjutsu Techniques. Other Jutsus: Name: Steady Deployment (Tegatai Haibi) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Gennin Restrictions: Aburame Clan Specific; Used in Setup Phase Cost: 10X; 90X Damage: N/A Effects: An amount of Kikai Hives are deployed, where the X in the cost is equal to how many are deployed using this technique. User of this technique decides the amount deployed. An amount of Kikai Colonies may be deployed in the exact same way; however the secondary cost is used instead of the first. User chooses to either deploy the Kikai Hives or Kikai Colonies, not both. Description: With a whisper of chakra and mental commands, the user of this technique sets the destruction bugs to crawling from the various orifices in the body. Usually, these are artificial wounds kept open for the express purpose of deploying the Kikai. This is considered the standard method of getting the destruction bugs out and onto the battlefield for use in various other techniques. This is the gateway to all other techniques in the secretive world of the Aburame Clan. Points: 1 Name: Tangle of Insects (Matsuri no Konchuu) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Gennin Restrictions: Aburame Clan Specific; Used in Main Phase Cost: 60 Chakra Damage: 0 Effects: This technique may still deal damage via modifiers and other effects. Target gains the Hamstrung status effect for two turns. The user may choose to have this technique consume any number of Kikai Hives or Kikai Colonies. For every Kikai Hive consumed this technique does 20 additional damage and for every Kikai Colony consumed it does an additional 100. The damage caps of the user’s current Ninja Rank still apply. Description: Commanding the Kikai to attack, the destruction bugs swarm all over the target and began to feast on the tender human. Ripping and tearing through muscle and skin alike, it would not be such a painful thing if there were only a few. However, hives and colonies are often used in this and it is a gruesome thing to see as the opponent is shredded from the legs up. It is a basic, albeit effective technique that can quickly lay waste to the unwary. Just another reason why the Aburame Clan is so feared for its numerous secret techniques and practices. Guest Crim Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 The descriptons seem okay, although the part in the history that he sent to another village and still part of the Aburame Clan seems unlikely, although I suppose its fine. Next is your skills and such, with all your total you would have 0 skill points left, not 2. I also suggest not taking Entomology as reducing -1 JP for 2 SP is a complete waste, simply dont take it. Next is your jutsu, I'd like to know where you got your techniques, as nothing should have a cost of o JP, IE:Give me a link. Delete the parenthesis that you have that descirbes what each part of the character sheet does. Like this (Checkout the General Skills page.) in your character sheet does not need to be there. NCIA also gain a Vest and an extra 125$ to start out with, along with an Identification Card they must carry, which you should find in the 'News' forum. Everything else seems fine, I'll check back once you fix those problems and answer my question.
MAC Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) I applied: Name: Entomology Requirement: Must be an Aburame clan member. Restrictions: N/A Effect: All Aburame techniques cost one less JP. Does not apply to justu above character's rank or evolving jutsu. Description: The study of insects. This shows that the owner knows much about insects and can use them more effectively. Cost: -2 to the two listed so that i can get these for free... sounds cheap but there is no reason why it cant be done. linkie to two 0jp skills after skill application Thanks for the constructive critique! Edited May 29, 2008 by MAC
Guest Crim Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I'm sorry but at least 1 JP must be paid for any jutsu. And when you write down the JP, dont just put down how much you paid for it, instead write it like this JP: 4 (3) The first is how much you the technique orginally costs, the second in parenthesis is how much you paid for after effects. Also, I repeat myself, -2 SP, for a -1 JP effect is worthless, trust me, you get a lot more JP then SP at higher levels. Just noticed that you alreay did that... Also, even though you applied doesnt mean you have been accepted, although the chances are that you will be. Also I think the Clan Leader of the Clan has been inactive and might have to ask a Staff Member (mod or admin) to let you get in the aburame clan. Again, look at the updates for you extra equipment.
MAC Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) the aburame clan leader is Chiri-o and he said to post it and he'll decide from there... also changed the jutsus and im still firm on my skill(sorry:( ) Edited May 29, 2008 by MAC
Guest Crim Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) Alright then, then thats fine, get a staff member to look over this, to see if there fine with your history and such. Stating again; you get an extra 125$ and this equipment, depending on you rank. [~X~] Edit: Letting you know that you need to add that to your sheet, not just stating it in your inventory. oreocookie Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I love it! Awesome! Random thought: constipated monkeys ^^
Guest Crim Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 You still didn't add the extra 125$, you would have a total of 250$ to let you know. I also STRONGLY disapprove of taking that one skill. Almost anybody would agree with me as there are skills made which reduce JP by -2 and cost only 1 skill point.
MAC Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) find me a link to the skill and i'll add it +125 added too... Admins and mods flock to me! @_@ Edited May 29, 2008 by MAC
Guest Crim Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I cant as it only allows to other clan specific techniques, simply just take the path of Scholar Skill which will benefit more. Italized is recommended pick. The Path of the ScholarDescription: Although quite rare, a few Ninja proceed down the path of the scholar, spending a lot of time in research and in trying to understand the world around them. These Ninja are not to be underestimated, however, as they can be quite deadly. Effect: Character gains 1 extra Jutsu Point per level Scholarly Mastery: Choose Two: -May gain 2 ranks of 'Scroll Arts' for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 ranks of 'Scribe' for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 'Subtle Elements' skills for 1 skill point. Cost: -1 All you have to do is add a little description that he likes to study and such, maybe when he was locked up in the basement or something?
MAC Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 Scholarly Mastery: Choose Two: -May gain 2 ranks of 'Scroll Arts' for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 ranks of 'Scribe' for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 'Subtle Elements' skills for 1 skill point. -May gain 2 ranks of 'Merchant' for 1 skill point. what do these mean?
Guest Crim Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 You pick two of those effects, and delete the other two of your the skill and what they do... Well, sometimes there are Ranks in Skill Points, for Example, Merchant has 10 Ranks, and each Rank costs -1 SP. Its effect is that for each Rank you have this skill you get an extra 5% off when buying items. Thus with all its ranks it is a -10 Total Skill Points, but with the effect of the Path of the Scholar and picking the Scholary Mastery for Merchant, you may get 2 Ranks of Merchant for -1 SP, that means you can get the whole 10 Ranks for only -5 SP. Another Example would be subtle elements, it has a rank for each element, Fire, Earth, Lightning, Etc, so with the effect of gaining 2 Ranks for -1 SP, (you can get 2 Subtle Elements Skill for 1 Skill Point), which basically means instead of paying -2 Skill Points for 2 Subtle Element's, you may have 2 Subtle Elements for -1 Skill Point. Understand? If not, simply clarify. All those skill mentioned in the Path of Scholar effect are located at the main site.
MAC Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 since i simply dont get it i'll add the skill later if desired...thank you for explaining though
Guest Crim Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Its simple this is the skill Merchant. Skill Name: Merchant Effect: You get a 5% discount at stores. Cost: -1 (Per Rank) Ranks: 10 So if you had all Ranks in this skill it would look like this.. Skill Name: Merchant Effect: You get a 50% discount at stores. Cost: -10 Ranks: 10 You see, each rank has the same effect, but with each rank the effect stacks, so at 2 Rank you get 10% off, 5 Rank you get 25% off, and so on. But with the Scholar Mastery, you can gain 2 Ranks for 1 SP, thus the skill would look like this if you had all ranks. Skill Name: Merchant Effect: You get a 50% discount at stores. Cost: -5 Ranks: 10 Still dont understand?
MAC Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 could u explain ranks to me or is that too much to ask...
Guest Crim Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 (edited) In skills "Rank" or "Ranks" is the number of times you can take the skill. Thats how simple it is, so in theory the effect of scholary mastery is 'You may take the skill Merchant twice for -1 Sp' EDIT: Its good that you ask these questions, as a new player people understand, and it will not cause problems in the future, so feel free to ask anybody in the community for questions, if they dont bother to answer you, then simply ask somebody else. <- People like those tend to be real jerks :/ Edited May 30, 2008 by Crim
MAC Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 im gonna take merchant and is ther another u suggest?
