Taiki Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Taiki was tossing about restlessly, trying desperately to sleep, but to no avail. Something was beckoning him outside, and it wasn't about to relinquish it's grasp on his mind. "I'm not getting any sleep...may as well go for a walk." He said aloud to himself. Taiki got up and dressed, but decided to leave his NCIA vest. 'No need for that thing, it will jus get in my way.' he thought as he finished wrapping his two scarves about his face. He stepped out of his room, down the hall, and out the door, starting on a small path he walked every now and again to think about things. Something was different about tonight, as he felt he wasn't alone on his trail, but he shrugged it off, carrying a kunai up his sleeve for caution's sake. It was a lovely night, with the stars shining rather clearly, and the moon was intense, as if purposed to give what small light it did directly to his path. He closed his eyes, if only for a brief moment, and breathed deeply of the night air. A small smile, hidden by his scarves, crossed his lips, but quickly disappeared as the feeling of being near to something quickly returned. His eyes intensified to their icy blue as he slipped the kunai to his hand, gripping it tightly. Quote
Ash_x Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Dark clouds slid over twin moons, covering the night like a blanket. Behind the swirling veil, stars fell like tears as earth, mountain and sky faded away. Sweet smells of fresh grass, cool springs and autumn leaves filled the air. Above, colours rippled across the heavens as if strewn by some painters wild brush. Fiery reds, ocean blues, brilliant yellows and deep forest greens curled and danced, a pulsating patchwork that flowed across the sky. The glade resting below the snow dusted mountains lay still and silent. Gardens surrounding the Japanese bridge that arched gracefully over the babbling stream. In contrast, the pond was absolutely still, shimmering like a pale turquoise mirror. Willow branches brushed the surface of the water, sending soft ripples along the velvet sanded shore. Moonlight poured through the trees, hitting the lone figure standing in the meadow and illuminating her soft features. Glossy obsidian hair tumbled gracefully across her petite shoulders and down her back, kissed by slightly olive skin and moon-chip azure eyes. The black cord around her neck glistened with gems, ebony and baby blue licking their edges and shimmering with a dark sapphire center. Black opals. Delicate feet stepped lightly in front of one another, smiling as she felt the cool earth press against her bare souls. Her heavily lashed eyes flared to life as her petite limbs danced into action. Arms gracefully curving in the air like cranes and legs thrashing artfully as they towered above her torso. Pushing her strength into her spine as the girl attempted a mid-air flip. Landing with a delicate thump she raised a petite fingered hand and gently swept her hair back across her shoulder, Smiling with satisfaction before she fled through the glade and into the darkness of the forest. Mist twisting it's way through the trees until it found the running girl, washing over her slim body like a silk cloak. A soft echo surrounded the forest as flesh hit pebbled pathway, coming to an easy walk the mysterious child glided gracefully along the road until she emerged from the trees to stand silently at the entrance of Konoha, where the few rough buildings untouched by Kumo's flame-streaked war stood majestically in the cold, blue moonshine. The girls exotic gaze slowly flowed downwind, resting on a lone male that had too decided to bask in the nights eerie hour. Resting her hand on her Kunai she readied herself incase the boy had a threatening essence, spilling blood was something that came naturally to her. Quote
Taiki Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 He could barely see, but, thanks to the pale moonlight, could make out a figure just ahead of himself. It seemed to be rather petite, but not frail. Going against his better judgment, Taiki slid the kunai back up his sleeve, and stuck his hands in his pockets, showing that he meant no harm. He rummaged through his pocket, and found a small book, in which his mother had given him when he was younger, full of pressed flowers. As the wind began to blow more powerfully, his scarves danced along beside him, only coming to rest when it died down again. As his approach drew him closer to the standing figure, he began to make out more distinctive features. The figure was a young girl, close to his age, with long, dark hair. 'Just what I need, further distraction.' he thought to himself as he rolled his eyes. He walked until he was about ten feet from the girl, and took a good look at her in a brief moment. Slightly shocked to see such a lovely young girl out alone, he almost failed to notice the kunai in her hand. Almost. "I mean you no harm." Taiki said, slowly removing his hands from his pockets to show they were empty of weapons, but merely held a small book, opened by a small, careful flick of his wrist to show the content. Quote
Ash_x Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Kitara relaxed slightly, slipping her kunai back into the strap on her upper thigh, letting the hilt drop from her fingertips as the reassuring sound of metal sliding against leather broke the eerie stillness. The dark girls eyes searched cautiously for any glimmer of understanding, something that would give away his allegiance to either the NCIA or Resistance. The girl turned away as she entered the labyrinth of her mind, caught between killing this genin out of precaution or following her own morals. "What is your name?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder with a small smile twinkling on her pale lips. Quote
Taiki Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 "Taiki." he said, flipping the book closed and dropping it in his pocket. He was slightly intrigued by this girl, not sure whether to treat her as an ally, or prepare himself to fight. The nervous tension between them wasn't dropping, and he wasn't helping that situation. Slowly and fluidly, he bowed before her, never allowing his icy blue eyes to leave the gaze of her azures. He stood right once again, his scarves picking up a new gust of wind, pulling forward to intertwine between himself and the girl. "Yours?" he asked, half from courtesy, and actually half intrigued. He hadn't even spoken to a female since... Shaking his head, he removed the memories trying to flood him. His icy blue eyes intensified once more as he refused to show emotion to this girl he had never met before. 'Get a hold of yourself, Taiki. It's a girl, just like all the others you've grown to ignore.' he thought, and shoved his hands back into his pockets once more, desperately trying to look like what he was telling himself. 'You aren't interested in knowing people again, it only leads to pain.' However, as desperately as he repeated, over and over in his head, that he wasn't interested, his intrigue grew. Quote
Ash_x Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Kitara turned slowly so that she faced this man, his brow was creased with thought and despite his efforts, she could see right through his veil of camouflage. Her lashes fluttered to cover a portion of her eyes, head slightly tilted towards her shoulder as she searched for some explanation to his discomfort. The girl tamed her long tresses as the same gust of wind that had sent Taiki's scarves into a whirl around him teased her midnight hair and dragged it behind her in a flowing ebon stream. "I'm Kitara" She offered politely, watching with interest as the stranger bowed before her and gave him a small, half-hearted smile in gratitude. "Whats he doing walking around this time of night... he'll get himself killed" Kit thought, sensing that his chakra was that of no more than a beginner genin. "It's dangerous on the outskirts of the village... you shouldn't be out here" The dark eyed girl whispered glancing around as she heard a disturbance in the brush nearby. Charcoal rimmed eyes, like two pools of liquid ash melted into the scenery before revealing a petite form of a silvery hued feline, a tiny mew echoing towards his beloved companion. Kitara's plush lips curved into an adoring smile, reaching down and gently scooping her kitten into her arms, playing softly with his paws as he sent a delighted purr into the atmosphere. "Orion, there you are.." The girl cooed, holding the infant tightly to her chest. Quote
Taiki Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 'She's reading me.' he thought, growing slightly annoyed. "Couldn't sleep." were the words that came from his mouth, but those were merely the reason for tonights walk. He thought back, to all the walks he had taken, thinking, forcing himself to hide his emotions behind his eyes. "I'll be fine." 'I may not be very skilled,' Taiki thought, 'but I can definitely find my way out of a difficult situation.' He turned, pulling his hand out of his pocket and allowing the kunai to slip back into his hand in one fluid motion as he heard the rummaging that caught Kitara's attention. He eased back, sliding the kunai into his sleeve pocket as he saw the small feline approach, and the young girl scoop and cuddle the creature. A smile crossed his scarred, scarf-covered lips at the sight of the kitten. "Cats." he said, giving a playful shiver, trying to ease the still thick tension he felt. Quote
Ash_x Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Kitara smirked slightly as the boy spoke again, glancing up and deliberately unveiling the mischief in her azure orbs. "oh? how...daring of you..." The girl answered slowly, a feminine laugh escaping her lips as she noticed Orion was also grinning at the stranger, as if testing to see how far he would stretch. Slender fingers carefully wrapped around the hilt of her kunai, spinning it artfully in an attempt to dim her displeasure. "I haven't seen you around here before... new in town?" Kitara asked, her tone now serious and holding no room for the lies she would easily be able to detect. Her suspicions grew as she failed to lay eyes on the village Hitai-ate, but instead one that was hidden behind his crop of flamy red hair. Letting her sapphire vision lower to gaze upon her feline comrade, Orion flattened his triangular auds against his skull and glared at the intruder. "There is something... different..about this boy" Quote
Taiki Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 "New? Yes." he spoke gently, slowly sliding one foot out. "From Kumo." He knew this could be dangerous if this girl was Resistance, and readied himself, dropping his Kunai back to his hand. 'I have no idea what skill this girl has, so if she attacks, I need to be ready to defend against anything.' He glanced at the kitten, not sure whether he would attack alongside the girl, or if he was merely a pet. Taiki's eyes were so icy, they were nearly glowing as he remembered the war, fighting all those battles, and ...the girl. Quote
Ash_x Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 (edited) Kitara bit her lip softly as she sensed the new comer tense, expecting her more so than not to attack him and hastily pulled his weapon into the firm grip of his hand. The dark haired girl glanced down, her long silhouette of lashes hiding her gaze perfectly and gently she released Orion onto the dew-kissed grass. "Why... are you so quick to judge, master Taiki?" Kit whispered, a deep sadness ribboning her angelic yet cold vocals. With a swiftness few gennins could hope to match Kitara fled to stand behind the man, taking his hand in hers before digging her sharp nails into the palms pressure points, forcing him to drop the kunai and easily kicked it away. "I should kill you..." The girl hissed, turning him to face her and glaring into his forget-me-not eyes. Though her hatred for the NCIA was ever present in the content of her mind... she couldn't bring herself to destroy this loner. Pointing the tip of her blade into Taiki's throat she hesitated, as if fighting some inner battle of right and wrong. Finally, after a few tedious moments that dragged on into the blissful night, Kitara sighed and released the mans wrist and jaw, stepping back whilst slipping her kunai back into it's sheath. "You don't belong here..." She warned, trying to hide the small glimmer of concern that lingered in her tone, she cared nothing for this outsider... but she didn't want to see him get killed. Taiki Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 'I could barely keep up with her movement.' Taiki thought, slightly surprised by this young woman. His thoughts settled, and he concentrated on the girl before him for a moment. 'She sounded sad.' he thought, still hearing the tone of her voice resignate in his ears. "I am no master." Taiki said, flashing the kunai that had entered his other hand and been pointed at her side. "Else I would have reacted faster." Seeing that she meant him no harm now, he dropped the other kunai to the ground. He slowly, gently, took a step towards her, pulling the book that was in his pocket out, and held it out to her. "A gift." he said clearly to her. 'I can still feel where her fingernails hit my hand.' he thought, having to slowly strain to close and open his hand. "Nice way to hold hands." He managed to sarcastically and smoothly say. He chuckled slightly, hoping that her sense of humor might overcome her hatred. Quote
Ash_x Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Kitara's neatly groomed brows slowly edged together in a cautious scowl though timidly she reached out and accept the notebook, delicate fingers gently skimmed through a few pages, admiring the pressed flowers that lay hidden inside. "Why would he give me this..." The kunoichi thought half heartedly, though pushed it aside as a sort of peace offering and smiled softly. "Arigato gozaimashita" She whispered gratefully, slipping the book into her buck skin pack that hung loosely over her shoulder. Taiki's next statement brought an amused curve to her plush lips, raising her wrist and admiring her claw-like nails before flexing them. The bristly caw of a raven snagged her attention, drawing her in the direction of her home village and reminded her how unsafe it was to linger on the towns outskirts. "I must take my leave... unless you have residence in Konoha?" Kitara asked, wondering if he was just some drifter hanging around the border or if he had checked into an inn previously. Quote
Taiki Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 "Doo itashimashite." he managed to utter, somewhat out of habit. He stared at the girl, curious as to why she would try to kill him, then want to stick around him 'Women and their futility.' he thought as he mentally rolled his eyes. "I have a room." he stated, pointing in the general direction of the inn he stayed at. "Not far." he mentioned, shrugging. 'Be nice, Taiki.' the young man thought to himself. He stepped away from the girl for a moment, bent over, and gazed gently into the eyes of the small kitten, before gently picking him up, stroking him, and holding him carefully out to the young girl before him. "He's quite...cute." he stammered slightly, not wanting to sound overly affectionate. He stepped along side the young woman, and offered his arm to her. "Shall we, m'lady?" he asked sophisticatedly, managing a small grin towards her. 'Remember Taiki...don't get involved.' Quote
Ash_x Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Kitara took her infant feline with gentle fingers, wrapping a hand around his hindquarters while he rested safely on her hip. Orion stared up at her with enormous silver eyes, the kind that could melt the coldest of shinobi's hearts and buried his little muzzle into her slim waist. "Your so vulnerable little one... what would become of you if i turned away?" Kitara thought uncomfortably, both adoring and dreading how much he needed her but at the same time knew she could never abandon him. The girl glanced side-long and caught Taiki raise his arm for her to accept, taken back slightly by this gesture for her heart still raced from their recent misshap. None the less, the kunoichi's previous training of geishaism forced her to oblige, politeness winning over her suspicions and carefully she took his arm, following him to where ever he may go. It didn't matter how long she stayed out, she didn't have a family to return to and this night was particularly calm. Quote
Taiki Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) Taiki smiled softly under his wrapped face, adoring the little kitten in secret, but had his thoughts broken when Kitara's arm wrapped around his own. 'She....trusts me? No...she's just being polite....I think...' Taiki thought, scattered with 'what if's and 'if so's. He was so distracted, he hardly paid attention to where he was walking, and merely by instinct was able to follow the path back to where he stayed. The walk was uncomfortably silent between them, as Taiki couldn't manage to speak because of his thoughts. He had been so distracted, it wasn't until he heard a small 'meow' from their tiny companion that he snapped back to reality. "Gomen nasai." he uttered, slightly embarrassed by his lack of focus. "Not much farther, maybe an eighth of a mile." He didn't really know what to talk about, seeing as this was the first person he'd really bothered to even remotely converse with since he left the camp to seek training. There was something, however, very different about this girl. The way she looked, the way she acted...It reminded him of the girl he had trusted so much in the past. As they continued walking, thoughts welled up inside him came pouring out like a fountain, and despite all his efforts, small streams of tears managed to flow from the sides of his eyes, seeming like frozen streams from his icy blue eyes. Ash_x Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Kitara admired the twinkling lights of the city as they neared Konohagakure no sato's border, a light tinge of smoke trailed on the breeze, making the girl flinch as she clung to her companions arm. Orion rested motionlessly on her hip, purring and kneading her warm side like he would his mothers but as the infant glanced up a soft mew escaped his ebon lips. Kitara felt her eyes follow the felines to gaze upon Taiki, a ribbon of tears staining his pale cheeks to seep down into the cloth that wrapped around his face. Kitara gasped and let go of his arm, stepping in front of him to block his path and locking her sapphire orbs with his ice blue. "W-whats wrong...why are you crying?" The girl begged, her soft features ridged with shock. Quote
Taiki Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 "...It's nothing." he softly said, shaking his head and drying his tears. 'I had hoped I had more control than that.' thought Taiki, trying hard to force his emotions back into check. 'Why does she even care? I'm NCIA, she's Resistance...there's no...logic to it.' He glanced down at the small kitten for a moment, shaken by all the movement the girl had done, trying desperately to settle back into his place. He smiled again, having happy memories of the young girl who's kitten she loved and adored. She had told him how her parents had almost not let her keep it, and how she would sneak him to the Academy everyday. Even how one time, she couldn't find the poor kitten, and came crying to him for help. They soon found the little thing, stuck in a tree by a stray dog. He glanced back up into his sapphired-eyed companion, then remembered. "The first page...of the notebook I gave you. You remind me of her." Quote
Ash_x Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Kitara stood motionless as her should be enemy spoke, his tone soft and full of hurt like a child who had lost his way. Sapphire eyes fluttered to meet his as he requested her to read the first page of the notebook he had given her. Wincing slightly, plush lips beginning to part as though she were to reject him the girl's features softened and shakily she pulled the book from her carrier, casting her azure vision onto the many symbols that made up the canvas's fine print. Her dark optics, framed by midnight lashes slowly filled with sadness and compassion until she had read all she needed to about this girl she reminded Taiki so deeply of. Glancing back up to stare into the mans eyes she carefully spoke in the gentlest way manageable. "I'm sorry... you must have loved her very much" Kitara whispered, keeping her doll-like expression unreadable, it troubled her that this stranger, a shinobi, was so mercilessly grieved by a woman who had obviously long vanished from his side, and what confused her more so... was how could she remind him of her, to the point where tears trickled from his forget-me-not orbs. Quote
Taiki Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 "...Yes." was the only word he was able to divulge, still struggling to keep his emotions at bay. How could he possible tell her that she was the only person he ever fully trusted with everything, that they didn't hold back...but, this was not the most pressing question on his mind. "...Your family. What happened to them?" he asked, trying to figure things out, as well as change the subject from himself to her. Quote
Ash_x Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Kitara bit her lip softly as Taiki dried his tears, unsure of how to comfort him and not knowing if it were her place. Her gaze flickered to meet his own as he asked about her family, the wind immediately being knocked from her bodice though the only display of discomfort she showed was the gentle widening of her sapphire eyes. The girls lower lip trembled for a moment, her pulse quickening until it was like a deep echo in her ears. Kitara turned away from the man as she let her mind give way to the flood of memories, vivid with pain and terror. The warm, alluring scent of baking rose slowly up the stairs, weaving it's way between the cracks under the door and the floorboards, into Kitara's room. Golden sunshine flickered softly through the window, hitting the crystals that dangled from her curtain-rob and sending beautiful rainbows cascading along her walls. A ribbon of vivid colour danced across the sleeping girls eyes, gently easing her awake. Kitara stirred and slowly sat up, her locks of ebon hair resting neatly on her shoulders in dainty curls, her face, still holding it's child-like youth was round and complimented by rosy cheeks. A honey-sweet smile twinkled upon the twelve year olds lips and eagerly she slid from the warmth of her bed, bare feet bringing her swiftly down the carpeted hallway and into the old fashioned kitchen her mother so deeply adored. Kitara spared a few moments to dip her finger in a mixture of sugar, butter and flour, destined to rise into a delicious cake that would surely please her father, who was due home from his mission today. Her excitement grew as she thought of her fathers return, awaiting the moment when he would bundle her into his arms and tell her he was glad to be home. Kitara glanced around slowly, it was unusual for her mother to leave a batch unfinished and she could have sworn she heard voices a few moments before. Suddenly, the unmistakeable cry of her mum sent a shockwave of horror down her spine, sapphire eyes that were then, filled with life and innocence, darted towards the front door where they rested squarely on the crouched form of her mother, doubled over and weeping into her palms. "Ookasan!, what's wrong?... please!" Kitara begged, helping her mother off the floor. The woman shook her head, lips parted as if to speak but some inner force held her back, instead, she handed her daughter a piece of parchment that was slightly smudged from tears. The girl shakily accepted the letter, fearing the worst but daring not assume it. "It is with a heavy heart that I must inform thee, Matsuki Kiyoshi has been killed in action" Kitara read the words over and over in her mind, as though refusing to accept the bitter trueness of it. The child's spark of love and freedom seemed to die at that moment, replaced with a cold sense of reality. ----------------------------- Two years had passed since that dreadful day, followed by numerous attacks on Konoha that had left the village in ruins, charred with flame and stained with the blood of Shinobi, including that of her fathers. The woman of Matsuki had lived a sheltered life since the loss of Kiyoshi, aided by the dead Chuunin's brother who seems painfully opposite from his older sibling. His voice and eyes holding not the signature warmth of the late father and husband, but their own snake-ish tone and aurora. Unlike that serene summer morning, so long ago, this day was soaked in rain and battered by fierce winds, the sky a gloomy tapestry of smoke-hued grime and sickly violet, smeared with clouds that threatened to spill their content onto the flooded earth below. Kitara kneeled in the corner of her attic, a trickle of blood seeping from the corner of her mouth spilled onto the wooden floor, followed by another that came from a wound on her fore-arm. The disturbing sound of flesh hitting flesh brought new tears to the rim of her eyes, watching with rage as the NCIA followers continued to beat her already unconscious mother. "Please stop it!" The girl screamed, pulling herself up. Her eyes began to close as her tears rolled to the floor, shaking with terror and helplessness. There was nothing she could offer the men, nothing that would tempt them into sparing her mothers life for it was her death they desired most. "Don't you see Kitara-chan.... this is the way it must be" whispered her uncle as he walked slowly to her side, sporting the NCIA vest upon his frame. "You traitor!" The girl cried, hitting the man with futile fits that had lost their strength hours before. Patus smiled adoringly and caught his nieces wrists, shoving her against the wall with his face close to hers. "Join us my dear, and avoid this fate as your own" He offered. Kitara felt feverish and turned her face away from his. "Never..." was her heartfelt answer. Patsu scowled as the girl refused to look at him, seeing her displeasure was much to his concern and softly yet firmly he wrapped his hand around her jaw and forced her to face him. "Then you will watch this, and know one day you will share your mothers ending, such a shame Kitara-chan, I had so wanted you to understand" With that he turned Kitara's face towards her limp mother and the three Shinobi surrounding the woman's body. What Kitara was forced to endure was something that no child should ever witness, watching helplessly as one of the Jounins stepped forward and drew in a long breath of oxygen, followed by numerous hand signs. Despite the girls pleas the man exhaled an enormous cloud of flame, known as Katon Karyuu Endan, which engulfed her mother in a pool of burning fire. When the insanity was over and the woman was little more than a human-like shape of charcoal and flesh Patsu released his niece, watching with interest as she dropped to the ground in a quivering mess. Kitara continued to shiver though it was not brought on by the harsh breeze, her long tresses fluttering gracefully around her form until she gathered enough of her strength to reply without fearing her voice would stiffen or stutter from emotion. "They... died, I'm an orphan" She whispered, angelic vocals as cold and smooth as ice, reflecting the icicles forming around her heart and poisoning her blood. Quote
Taiki Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 "I...know the feeling." Taiki whispered, remembering the day the letter of his father's death came, and his mother leaving him. He patted around his robe, searching for the letter he always bore with him, and finally dug it out of the inside breast pocket. He unraveled it, and read it once over, out loud. "Died on an A-ranked mission, saving the life of his teammates. He will be honored and remembered forever." he read, then rolled the scroll again, replacing it within his robe. He glanced back at the young girl before him, her shivering form, and did something unprecedented. He remove his long, thick red scarf, and wrapped it gently around the young girl's neck. "Stay warm." he said, slowly wrapping it about her once more loosely. Quote
Ash_x Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Kitara closed her eyes tightly, spilling tears onto the thick blanket of her lashes. she barely felt the reassuring touch of Taiki's scarf as he attempted to shield her from the cold. She had tried so hard to save her mother, but only prolonged her death. After a few moments Kitara realised just what was around her chest and gasped softly. "Taiki... wont you get col-" the girl was cut off as she spun round, her azure gaze settling on the scar that bordered the mans mouth and cringed at the thought of how he may have recived such a wound. Deciding that nothing she could say to Taiki would offer him little comfort she instead handed him the sleeping infant in her arms, his gentle purring echoing into the night and bringing a delicate smile to the girls lips. Orion yawned slightly and began to knead his new carriers side. "I think he likes you" Kitara said warmly, a small laugh escaping her pouty lips. Quote
Taiki Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Taiki noticed where the girls glance trailed as she cut her words short, and was grateful she didn't say anything about it. He glanced down, seeing Kitara hand the small, cuddly furball to him, he smiled slightly, feeling it rub against him. "Don't worry, I don't think he'll get too attached." he said, snuggling the small kitten close to himself, keeping him warm. His face slightly sobering, Taiki pointed his free hand at his scar, and said, "This, I got getting..." as he trailed to pat the pocket inside his robe, "this." Quote
Ash_x Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Kitara smiled half heartedly as Taiki gave her an explanation, though she had not been expecting one. She remembered what she did with her own letter that she had received so long ago, a grim veil slipping over her azure gaze as she filed through her mind until she found the select memory. The girl had shredded it into a million tiny pieces then incinerated them with multiple fire jutsu while her mother stood against the wall, ash faced with tear stained cheeks. "It's not true..." The soft whisper of her past echoed inside her head, repeated over and over again as it had that night. "How bold of you..." Kitara replied kindly, pushing her thoughts aside. "Taiki... would you like to train with me tonight, I can show you how to better yourself, and polish the diamond beneath your layer of dirt" She offered, giving him a phrase that she lived by, for each shinobi was like a gem in the rough, they had to work hard to polish away the debris until a glistening jewel lay before them. She knew her sensei would more likely than not strangle her for helping an NCIA gennin out, but this would give her a chance to learn more about her foe's technique, and the satisfaction of knowing she could end him rather easily still brought a twinkle to her orbs. [ooc: This training doesn't involve the battle system, just practice of Nin/Gen/Tai jutsu, weapons and basic hand to hand combat, not intended to injure the opponent ^^] Quote
