Nappers Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Forbidden Technique - Impure World Destruction (Kinjutsu - Edo Fūmetsu, 禁術 - 穢土封滅) Type: Ninjutsu (Void) Rank: Kinjutsu | Unacceptable Cost: 750 (Response Phase) | 1200 (Main Phase) Effect: May be used either in the Response Phase or the Main Phase. Response Phase: Target Jutsu, including Forbidden Ninjutsu, used by a target of equal or less rank is completely negated. That technique may no longer be used for the remainder of battle. If a scroll was used, the scroll is also swallowed and lost forever. The user may not take any action in their Setup or Main Phases. May only be used once in such a way. Main Phase: If successfull, the target is trapped within the coffin. They recieve two chances to break free at the cost of either 20% of their base total Chakra, Stamina or Health; once in the Setup Phase and once in their Main Phase. To beak free they must roll a d100, subtract that number from the level of the user. If that number is greater than the users (level*2)/3 then they break free. If they fail both times then they are trapped in the coffin and are dragged into non-existance. They are not considered dead but may only be brought back into existance by means of Forbidden Technique - Impure World Destruction: Reverse. During their time in non-existance they may not gain levels, train, or age, they are trapped within the coffin. May only be countered by a Kinjutsu of equal chakra cost. This technique may only be used once in such a way. Description: Similar to the Summoning: Impure World Resurrection, in summoning a coffin from the ground. The difference is that instead of a body exiting it, long shadow hands come out and drag the opponent into the coffin. Sealing shut the coffin plumets back into the vortex from which it came. Points: 25 Summoning: Rashomon-Hell (Kuchiyose: Rashōmon-Naraku) Type: Ninjutsu (Void) Rank: Kinjutsu | Unacceptable Cost: 1000 Effect: May only be used once per battle. This technique has a maximum chance to hit of 80%. Description: Summoning the Rashomon gate underneath the opponent, which opens up and swallows their target, as they plummet towards the inevitable a huge blast of negative energy roars up from the gate as it then seals shut. Requirements: Must know Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Rashomon (Summoning Technique: Rashomon). Points: 20

Points: 25 - "To break free they must roll a d100, subtract that number from their level. If that number is greater than the users (level*2)/3 then they break free." Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the rate of escape for the opponent; I mean rolling anything over a 50 will more than likely have them completely screwed and taken into the 'underworld'. Its just the chances I'm concerned with. Summoning: Rashomon-Hell (Kuchiyose: Rashōmon-Naraku) Type: Ninjutsu (Void) Rank: Kinjutsu (Unacceptable) Cost: 1000 Effect: May only be used once per battle. I have no problems with this at the moment.
Nappers Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Understood. - "To break free they must roll a d100, subtract that number from their level. If that number is greater than the users (level*2)/3 then they break free." Now reads. - "To beak free they must roll a d100, subtract that number from the level of the user.. If that number is greater than the users (level*2)/3 then they break free." Now it's only the user's level. Let's say the users level is 120. They must have a result greater than 120*2/3 = 80. Given that the users level is 120, they'd need to roll.. 40 or less, that's a 60% chance; which is the base chance to hit for any technique So: -- This tech needs to hit. -- They get on average a base chance to break free. Oh. And note, if they fail on chance 1 in their Setup Phase, they get a second chance in their Main Phase.
