Rilon Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) - Automaton parts will have a "Technical Complexity" rating equal to 10*X + 10*Y + Z, where X is equal to the Part's Level, Y is equal to the part's base damage, and Z is equal to the DP cost of any effects the part may inflict. For those of you making Kizai I've decided to re-word this rule to read. - Automaton parts will have a "Technical Complexity" equal to 1.25x where X is the part's rarity value. The original wording of the rule made even the basic Automaton parts extraordinarily arduous to install. Since the process of finding the parts is designed to not only be random but also require a large word count, I felt that reducing the amount of effort required to install a part would make the Automaton pets more appealing and ultimately help Machinists avoid writer's block or burn out. If any mods or admins have altercations with the change please post here. Otherwise these changes will be put into effect immediately. Edited August 16, 2009 by Rilon Quote
Rilon Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 7.1 Cogcraft: For every 40 points in this stat, ninjutsu used through an Automaton that results in an elemental, or jutsu attack deals 5 more damage, and has +1% to hitGearwork: For every 40 points in this stat, ninjutsu commands that result in the Automaton using a basic attack or a physical attack part deals 5 more damage and has +1% to hit. To normalize the accuracy with the coming changes in 7.0, the Cogcraft and Gearwork stats are being reworked so that they read. Cogcraft: For every 20 points in this stat, ninjutsu used through an Automaton that results in an elemental, or jutsu attack deals 5 more damage, and has +1% to hitGearwork: For every 20 points in this stat, ninjutsu commands that result in the Automaton using a basic attack or a physical attack part deals 5 more damage and has +1% to hit. Please note, Automatons will no longer receive an accuracy modifier from their Machinist. Because of the new changes to Accuracy, the double return would have made stacking for the cap too easy for a Machinist since they would have had two pools to draw from. In an effort to keep the Automaton pet balanced, they will now receive a full mod to accuracy (20 points) instead of a half mod (40 points) since determining their accuracy will now be sterile of their Machinist's stats. If any moderators or admins feel this is unbalanced, please post here. Until such time as a discussion between myself and staff, these changes are effective immediately. Quote

Automations of this level have an evasion stat equal to 1/2 the chakra used to animate them. Description: The most simple Kizai technique. The user will touch both his hands to a metallic object that contains some sort of gear structure or engine, completing their chakra circuit, and temporarily animating the item. Points: 1 Quote
