acillies45 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) Skill Name: Puppet Guard Description: While puppet user's wield some of the most versatile and deadly weapons, they lack something very important: defense. Even the best puppet user can have his puppet ignored and be attacked directly. While jutsu can be used to switch places with the puppet, a skillful puppeteer won't even let the opponent near them with their puppet. The best defense is a good offense and the puppet user uses their puppet as a shield as it attacks the opponent, making a deadly weapon even more so. Effect: The user MUST have a puppet drawn to make use of this skill. For each rank in this skill the user has, they get +10% chance (+5% for each puppet after the first) to have the opponent attack a puppet instead of the user. Each time an opponent attacks the user, they must roll a D100 (Modified by: (OPPONENT'S speed percentile - USER'S speed percentile). Add this to the overall chance the opponent has of hitting the user's puppet (Max: 90%, Min: 1%, the user may never have their chance modified by more than half of their base chance (so if they normally have a 20% chance (2 ranks), no matter how fast they are, 30% is the max chance they can have of blocking with the puppet)). If the opponent rolls below that number, they hit the user's puppet. If above, they can attack the user normally. (Example: NinP (with the puppet) has 2 ranks in this skill. Unmodified on a 1-20 Nin.A attacks NinP's puppet. If Nin.A is faster by x2 (50 speed percentile) then Nin.A. only has a 5% chance to hit the puppet instead of 20. Max Ranks: 9 Cost: ? Requirements: Must have Path of the Warrior and have chosen Weapon Specialization [Puppet] Edited October 16, 2011 by Jinsoku Kazekobushi
K Mitsuhide Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 In my opinion, I think that 90% is a little up there. Maybe have the maximum ranks at, say, 6? Unless I'm reading this wrong. Someone with multiple puppets receives the bonus for the other puppets as well, correct?
acillies45 Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Yes, but never over 90%. And that becomes the base amount. That can still be modified if the opponent is faster than the user, in that case they will lower the chance, based on how much faster they are.
