  1. Hey, thanks for the heads up on the academy jutsu! That should be fixed. I'll keep the equipment thing in mind, and Nokujiku is now back on his sheet since you're correct, I totally forgot to add it after I separated ninjutsu and genjutsu.
  2. Alright, thanks to Tony (love you) most of the major issues have been fixed on both themes. This should look serviceable now.
  3. Wow, and here I thought the new formatting system was too good to be true. I might just need to hard pass here and say to view it on Uniform only. Some things simply won't adjust when I toy with it.
  4. Looks like more changed than I expected. Thank god I didn't get too deep into making stuff for Asahi then. Should be right now.

While a permanent cure remains far out of his reach, Asahi has been able to develop specialized techniques to help his elder brother combat sudden outbreaks of his illness. This technique is specifically meant to target the onslaught of sickness in an NS3 sufferer, soothing their innards and removing the sensation of needing to evacuate the contents of one's belly until the initial outbreak fades away.Cost: 5 .:Shokujōka - Kokoro [Purifying Eclipse - Mind]:.Type: Ninjutsu [Medical ; Personal - Uchiha Asahi]Rank: JouninCost: 180 ChakraEffect: Removes up to 3 turns worth of 'Migraine' from a target suffering from the negative effects of 'Terminal Illness: 嚢胞性繊維症, Nouhou Sei Seni Shou, aka NS3'Description: Not every ailment can be cured through all-purpose medical techniques. 6. ✹ Change Log Completely re-did the sheet layout to make it cleaner and easier to read. Gave Asahi more hindering skills. With the SP restriction on paths dropped, I've made him appropriately bad at more things. Properly updated his JP and money log. He was missing quite a few holiday bonuses that he was around for but never had logged on his sheet prior. Dumped two senbon needles somewhere in the forest outside Konoha. Apparently they were too heavy for him to carry ontop of everything else. Altered Asahi's appearance. Obviously this has no statistical value, I just decided to stick with the original pink hair/green eye design that I wanted to do prior but felt that it might be a bit too...confident to do prior to the end of Naruto. Thanks for picking Sakura, Sauce. With that, I think everything is complete.

Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: x Chakra Effect: This technique may be performed as a Free Action in the Response Phase following a failed dodge roll. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is equivalent to the cost of 1 basic attack or small weapon attack that the user failed to dodge. The damage and effects of that basic attack or small weapon attack are negated. The user may take no action in the Setup Phase or Main Phase on the turn this technique is used. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle. Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent's attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies. Points: Free Upon Creation .:Clone Technique | Bunshin no Jutsu:. Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 5x Chakra Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is considered to be the number of 'Clones' created by the user and may never be greater than 2. 'Clones' have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. 'Clones' are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every 'Clone' on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle. Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshinjutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive. Points: Free Upon Creation .:Transformation Technique | Henge no Jutsu:. Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 10 Chakra Effect: During any situation in which a character with this technique would need to calculate their 'Visibility Score', they may use this technique to reduce their 'Visibility Score' by -10%. 'Visibility Score' reduction caused by this technique may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). Description: The Transformation Technique is a time-honored staple of nearly every shinobi academy the world over. Its concept and execution are both extremely basic, making it a perfect training technique for young students. By molding chakra around their body, the user of the Transformation Jutsu is able to temporarily take on the physical characteristics of another person. Though the Henge no Jutsu rarely offers a perfect disguise, clever ninja have been using it for hundreds of years to confound their foes. Points: Free Upon Creation ✹ Gennin Ninjutsu: .:Fukkyuu I [Recovery]:. Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Gennin [Medical] Cost: 60 Chakra Effect: Heal 60 Health on target. Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Gennin [Medical] Cost: 75 Chakra Effect: Target gains status effect 'Induced Regeneration: 30' for 3 turns. Description: The skin of the target takes on a very light green tinge as healing chakra fuses through their body, slowly healing their wounds over time. Cost: 3 .:Yousei no Kekkai I [Fairy Ward ]:. Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Gennin [Medical] Cost: 50 Chakra Effect: Heal the target for 20 health. The next technique of Gennin rank or less used against the target of this technique is considered to have a fail chance of 25%. If that technique already has a fail chance, it is increased by 25%. This does not include Response Phase Techniques. Usable once per battle. Description: The user heals their target a little bit, and leaves an imprint of curative chakra which may protect them in the future. Points: 3 .:Kago Kouso I [Protective Cross]:. Characters with this skill may not take missions alone. ✹ Positive: ✹ Path of the Medical Ninja [-1] Description: The road to becoming a Medical Shinobi is a long and difficult process. It takes a great amount of time to study Medical Jutsu, as the type of chakra used is quite different from that used to mold into Elemental Jutsu. To heal is considerably more difficult than it is to destroy. Those who go down this path sacrifice one type of strength in order to build up another. Effect: Character no longer applies Ninjutsu modifier when using Ninjutsu techniques. Character now applies 50% of their Ninjutsu modifier to Medical Ninjutsu. Anatomical Intelligence: The skill "First Aid Provider" may be taken for free. The player may also take the skills "Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)" and "Field Medic". RP Guide:A character that follows the Path of the Medic likely understands the fragility of life, and seeks to preserve it. Though not all medi-nin are caring, it is very likely that a shinobi who has begun to follow the path of medical ninjutsu is and does care for others immensely. These seals, infused with the physical and spiritual elements of Yin and Yang, are not as strong as the legendary seals wielded in the final battle of the Fourth Shinobi World War, but they do grant the wearer the ability to temporarily tap into the raw energies of the physical and spiritual world to bring forth small miracles. The Sun Seal of Asura is tattooed onto the right hand of the wielder, representing light and purity. By tapping into the power of this seal, the wielder is capable of granting respite to themselves and others, and is even able to deconstruct incoming attacks to reduce their power.Effect: This skill has X amount of charges per battle, where X equals the amount of ranks the user has in this skill. As a free action during their turn, the user of this skill may use a charge to reduce the turn duration of any status effect they or another target is inflicted with by one. The user may also choose to utilize multiple charges of this skill to reduce a status effect duration by multiple turns equal to the amount of charges used, or to reduce the turn duration for multiple status effects at once. In addition, this skill may be used during the Response Phase on an incoming attack. If any status effect duration would be reduced to 0 after utilizing this skill, the status effect is negated entirely. A status effect chosen by this seal cannot be reduced or negated again more than once per battle. Requirements: User must be a member of the Disciples of Ninshū. ✹ Yin Seal of Creation - Moon of Indra I [-1] Description: This pair of seals were created in secret by the Disciples of Ninshū after uncovering long lost teachings of Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo. The Moon Seal of Indra is tattooed onto the left hand of the wielder, representing darkness and mystery. By tapping into the power of this seal, the wielder is capable of manipulating the power of creation, granting their techniques and the techniques of their allies unusual powers and forms that would otherwise be impossible to replicate.Effect: This skill has X amount of charges per battle, where X equals the amount of ranks the user has in this skill. As a free action during their turn, the user of this skill may use a charge to apply one turn of any status effect to a technique that the user or another target is using. The user may also choose to utilize multiple charges of this skill to apply multiple turns of a status effect at once equal to the number of charges used, or to apply multiple status effects at a time. Status effects applied by this skill cannot exceed their turn duration. Status effects with variables (such as 'Bleed') cannot exceed 2Y, where Y equals the user's level. A status effect chosen by this seal cannot be applied more than once per battle. Requirements: User must be a member of the Disciples of Ninshū. ✹ Jounin Taught: N/A
  13. ✹ Bloodline Sharingan | 写輪眼 | Copy Wheel Eye Originally thought to be a mutation of the Byakugan, the Sharingan, or Copy Wheel Eye is a dōjutsu blood inheritance that appears in some members of the Uchiha clan. It is still commonly believed to be descended from the Hyūga clan’s kekkei genkai, but certain texts hidden within the Naka Shrine in the Uchiha Estates are written with the details of the Sharingan’s evolution and its relationship to the most legendary of dojutsu, the Rinnegan. Along with the Byakugan and Rinnegan, the Sharingan makes up one third of what is collectively known as the Three Great Dōjutsu. An activated Sharingan alters the color of the wielder’s irises to a bright crimson which has been described as possessing its own luminescence, making the eyes seem to glow in the dark. Depending on the wielder’s mastery over their blood inheritance, an activated Sharingan possesses a number of slightly swirled pupils, or tomoe, which orbit the center pupil. A fully matured Sharingan has three tomoe per eye. The Second Hokage referred to the Sharingan as ‘the eye that reflects feelings’ because of the particularities in how the dojutsu manifests in the Uchiha clansmen. The Sharingan is assumed to manifest when an Uchiha’s body and psyche are under great duress, but in truth the kekkei genkai most often manifests when a person, place or thing that an Uchiha feels very strongly for is put into jeopardy. This is accomplished by a special form of chakra being released in the brain which specifically effects the optic nerve endings, mutating them on contact. It has also been called the Heaven’s Eye due to the large range of abilities that it bestows on the wielder. The first of the Sharingan’s considerable powers is its ability to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan is able to give color to the varying types of chakra, allowing the wielder to differentiate between them. This allows wielders of the dojutsu to detect the presence of Genjutsu by noting irregularities in the flows of chakra in people, and even in themselves. The eyes grant exceptional clarity in combating illusions, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. The exceptional detail at which the Sharingan processes visual information extends beyond just viewing chakra. This also allows the wielder to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like pencil movements. As the Sharingan evolves, gaining more tomoe, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the wielder, allowing them to see the image of an attacker's next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body and counter-attack or dodge without any wasted movement. However, even though the wielder may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not always have time to react. The most well known ability of the Sharingan is that it grants its wielder the ability to copy almost any technique they witness. In order to reproduce a copied technique though, the wielder must possess the necessary skill to perform it. Lastly, the Sharingan is capable of inducing hypnosis in others that involves suggesting actions and thoughts. This is usually performed through eye contact. The Sharingan requires the wielder’s chakra while activated, but being a naturally occurring aspect of their body, most Uchiha who have properly adapted to the dojutsu do not experience significant drains on their chakra levels. Anyone who receives an incomplete set of Sharingan eyes, through theft or transfusion though, must spend more extreme amounts of chakra, both because a single eye is incapable of deactivating, and a non-Uchiha body is not adapted to the drain on their bodies. Restrictions: Ranks within the Sharingan do not stack, If the Sharingan is active all advanced regeneration is suspended until it is deactivated. Each rank overrides the previous except Mangekyō Sharingan, which does not override Mitsudomoe Sharingan. Activation/Upkeep: The Sharingan may be activated in the Setup Phase as a standard action and may be deactivated during any phase as a Free Action. The upkeep and activation cost of the Sharingan are paid at the end of the user's Setup Phase. IF a character is unable to pay the upkeep cost of the Sharingan, it is deactivated automatically at the end of their Setup Phase during that turn. Sharingan Keys: A character must meet any requirements of the rank of Sharingan whose key they are attempting to roll for. A GM, with staff consent, may allow a character with the Sharingan to make a Key roll without meeting its requirements. Key to Hitotsudomoe Sharingan [Success] Once per stat battle, or once per role play topic (All rolls made must reflect situations of great emotional stress, and roll may be made no more than 1 time per day [OOC & IC]. A GM may award additional rolls.), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a 4, 5, 6, or 7 in its digits, then they are awarded the Hitotsudomoe Sharingan. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Upon a successful roll during a stat battle, corresponding Sharingan ranks may be purchased during battle in the phase that the roll took place. Key to Futatsudomoe Sharingan [Success] Once per stat battle, or once per role play topic (All rolls made must reflect situations of great emotional stress, and roll may be made no more than 1 time per two days [OOC & IC]. A GM may award additional rolls.), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a 5, 6, or 7 in its digits, then they are awarded the Futatsudomoe Sharingan. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Upon a successful roll during a stat battle, corresponding Sharingan ranks may be purchased during battle in the phase that the roll took place. Key to Mitsudomoe Sharingan [Locked] Once per stat battle, or once per role play topic (All rolls made must reflect situations of great emotional stress, and roll may be made no more than 1 time per three days [OOC & IC]. A GM may award additional rolls.), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a 6 or 7 in its digits, then they are awarded the Mitsudomoe Sharingan. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Upon a successful roll during a stat battle, corresponding Sharingan ranks may be purchased during battle in the phase that the roll took place. Key to Mangekyō Sharingan [Locked] Once per stat battle, or once per role play topic (All rolls made must reflect situations of great emotional stress, and roll may be made no more than 1 time per four days [OOC & IC]. A GM may award additional rolls.), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a 7 in its digits, then they are awarded the Mangekyō Sharingan. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Upon a successful roll during a stat battle, corresponding Sharingan ranks may be purchased during battle in the phase that the roll took place. Hitotsudomoe/Futatsudomoe/Mitsudomoe Sharingan activation/upkeep • 5% total chakra • Mangekyō Sharingan activation/upkeep • 7.5% total chakra • Hitotsudomoe Sharingan The initial state of all Sharingan, the HitotsudomoeSharingan is the first step in attaining all the powers that the Sharingan offers its possessor. With the addition of another pupil into the eyes of the wielder, they are capable of perceiving their environment with much greater clarity than before. That clarity, combined with their ability to view chakra allows the the possessor of the Hitotsudomoe Sharingan the abilities to predict the movements of their opponents, defend against the effects of genjutsu, and mimic the abilities of their enemies. Requirements: Dormant Sharingan; Key to Hitotsudomoe Sharingan [Success] Sharingan Insight – Rank One Effect: While the Sharingan is active, a character with this skill’s Accuracy, Evasion, and Concentration statistics are increased by x, with ‘x’ being equivalent to the character’s level. The value of ‘x’ may never be less than 20. All statistical bonuses provided by this skill may not exceed 1.5x the base value of the individual statistics. Bonuses to Accuracy and Evasion are nullified when the character targets an opponent whose Speed statistic is 1.5x greater than the character’s. Description: The first ability that is attributed to the Sharingan is the heightened state of awareness that the wielder enters when activating the dōjutsu. The eyes are able to predict the movements of enemies, or photographically catalog the details of the environment with great superiority. The enhanced accuracy and evasion that is the root of many of the Sharingan's abilities becomes stronger as each new tomoe develops. In its early stages, the Sharingan's influence increases the wielder's sensory awareness greatly, but opponents with great speed are capable of besting the dōjutsu. At more mature stages, the Sharingan is capable of predicting the movements of even the fastest foe. Cost: -1 Sharingan Hypnotism – Rank One Effect: While the Sharingan is active, a character with this skill’s non-Forbidden Genjutsu techniques with the ‘Dōjutsu; Sharingan’ descriptor gain the following effect; “The target of this technique must roll a 20-sided dice. On an outcome of 1 or 2 the target may take no other actions in response to this technique. If the target of this technique is afflicted with the status effects ‘Impaired Eyesight’ or ‘Blind’ they may increase the outcome of this roll by +2 or +5 (respectively).” Additionally, characters with this skill may purchase the technique ‘Genjutsu: Sharingan’ and while the Sharingan is active, ‘Genjutsu: Sharingan’ is considered seal-less. Description: Though the many other facets of the Sharingan are greatly desired across the world, none can argue that perhaps the most potent aspect of the Sharingan is its ability to entrap a target within a Genjutsu at just a glance. Early stages of this ability manifest in incomplete ways, no more or less potent than comparable genjutsu- but later evolutions tap into the eye's ability to completely enrapture a target within the Sharingan wielder's mental whims. Cost: -1 Sharingan Copy – Rank One Effect: If the Sharingan is active during the Response Phase, a character with this skill may pay .8x Chakra, where 'x' is the cost of any technique used after this character's previous turn. The character must roll a 10-sided dice, and on an outcome of 1 - 5, the technique may be added to the character’s list of known techniques. Techniques added in this way have no Jutsu Point cost. Techniques of a certain Element, Archetype, or Style may be used without the necessary skill, but the Sharingan must be active to utilize techniques which require skills that the character does not possess. Techniques with bloodline or clan skill requirements that the character does not possess, or techniques that the character could not purchase for their standard Jutsu Point cost may not be copied. This skill may be activated 1 time per battle, or 1 time per role-play topic. Activating this skill is a free action. Description: The power to record and store the details of any technique witnessed is a feat that has long made the Sharingan one of the most coveted kekkei genkai in existence. By simply having their bloodline active, wielders of the Sharingan are able to see the most minute details in the muscles of their foes, identify handseals in mid-combat, and even see the exact patterns of the enemy's chakra. These abilities make Sharingan-wielders impressive copy cats. In it's formative stages, the act of copying a technique is more strenuous on the body, and can produce hit or miss replications, but as the bloodline matures and the wielder becomes more practiced, the ability becomes almost fool-proof. Cost: -1 Sharingan Reflection – Rank One Effect: When a character with this skill successfully utilizes Sharingan Copy against a technique, the unresolved technique has a 10% chance of being negated. This is a triggered effect and may only activate 1 time per battle. The character consumes their Set-Up and Main Phases on a turn in which this skill activates. The activation of this skill is a free action. Description: So fast are the reaction times of those who wield the Sharingan, that the brain is capable of quickly responding to incoming threats, and exactly duplicating the attacks of their enemies. In doing so, the wielder is able to match the exact force of the threat and nullify it. At this early stage of the Sharingan, the art of reflection is difficult, and often only performed by luck and instinct. Cost: -1

  15. ✹ History ✹ Chapter I: Within the Shadow of the Moon Despite the consistent protests to the notion, Uchiha Asahi was born with the intent of his parents to follow in his brother’s shadow. Uchiha Tsukiyo was the first to be born into the arms of Rikusuke and Nalali, solidifying themselves as the bearers of the next generation within the seedy clan. Tsukiyo blazed a trail of high expectations and incredible excitement within the clan even as a toddler due to the early formation of the Sharingan within his eyes. As such, Tsukiyo gained all of the clan’s favor and affection, causing Asahi’s eventual birth to go relatively unnoticed and uncelebrated. Likely an attempt to duplicate the ridiculous success in genes that managed to create his older brother, the clan quickly noticed Asahi possessed none of the signs indicating he was a prodigy shortly after his birth. For the next six years or so, Asahi lead a rather dull and lonely life. Very few children of the clan went out of their way to make friends with the boy despite his overwhelmingly sweet demeanor, all in favor of clamoring over his brother much like the adults in the family had. Other Konoha children were somewhat intimidated by the clan he originated from, making it a point to avoid him at every turn. Yet despite the fact that Tsukiyo was the object of everyone’s affection, despite the fact that every holiday he was smothered from head to toe in gifts while Asahi had only received the bare minimum, the young Uchiha held no grudge against the boy who cast a shadow over him. While his confidence in himself was shot to pieces due to how little his clan thought of him, and was fully aware of how alone he truly was within the estates, Asahi never felt as though his brother in particular thought any less of him. Tsukiyo never bullied him, or insulted him, or made him feel bad. Perhaps it was due to the encouragement of his family, but Asahi even loved his older brother with all his heart. He admired Tsukiyo, put him on a pedestal and held him up as the god of shinobi that his family so desperately wanted him to become. But even more than that, Asahi saw his older brother as a real person with flaws and weaknesses as well. He never expected anything of him unlike the rest of the clan. He was simply proud to have someone so strong as an older brother. It was this glimpse into his humanity that initially forged the relationship between these two brothers when Tsukiyo eventually fell ill. ✹ Chapter II: The Light in the Darkness No one could ever really figure out what caused the sudden onset of illness within Tsukiyo, but the impact of it shook the entire clan. Fresh out of the academy and this boy who was destined to soar the Uchiha clan to new heights, and he already had his wings clipped by fate. It was a poetic justice to some, one that did not go unnoticed by some of the elder Uchiha who understood the tragedies their people had caused in the past. Hope turned into pity whenever the clansmen would rest their eyes on the poor, sick boy, although their parents were infinitely more heartbroken. They were raising a champion, after all; one who would pull the Uchiha out of their infamous muck of a reputation and into a new shining era. An aura of everlasting sadness filled the clan estates for a long, long time…except for one glimmer of light that remained at Tsukiyo’s bed side despite it all- Asahi. In Asahi’s eyes, his brother did not fall off the pedestal he put him on. He was just as strong as he remembered when he was younger, only this time he admired the legendary boy’s willpower and fortitude in the face of a disease that was meant to kill him rather than just his skill as a ninja. With the NCIA occupation in place, the optimistic young lad spent his days at his brother’s bedside, eagerly coming up with new games to help pass the time in favor of going outside and trying to make new friends. Though the doom and gloom was thick in Tsukiyo’s bedroom, Asahi never once let a shred of depression or sadness come over him. He remained eternally cheerful, attempting to show his brother the microscopic silver lining on the proverbial cloud. After all, Tsukiyo was alive, and so long as he lived, there was a chance he could get better. And despite any protests he’d hear, Asahi would stand by that belief. When the Hachinin and rest of the resistance came to blows with the Raikage during the Battle of Fang, Kumogakure occupation came to a swift halt as the NCIA were repelled from the village walls. The village’s academy was quick to enroll new students into its midst, eager to replenish their numbers now that the war had finally ended. Though it was not the life he wanted, after much pressure from his parents and clan, Asahi eventually ended up signing up for classes in hopes to continue what his brother had started. It became clear that Asahi was not a ninja at heart fairly quickly, however. In a world that considered the worst case scenario in every situation, the fledgling Uchiha was unable to adapt due to his naïve outlook on life and his inability to come to blows with his classmates, even in a training scenario. Even with Tsukiyo’s strained guidance, Asahi was unable to succeed in any particular skillset that the shinobi of the academy trained him in. All the instructors had practically lost hope in the boy, until the academy’s customary first aid session they went over once every year. While most dull Gennin skimmed over the subject as boring and worthless, and even the brighter students only jotting down variable notes to help them in the future, none absolutely devoured the content quite like Asahi did. The boy went on to study every first aid book the school had on hand, and even spent his lunch breaks borrowing several medical journals from the library at a time in order to study the elusive arts of restoration. When the final exams finally rolled around, Asahi found that he was completely unable to succeed in even the most basic tasks like the kunai throw. Every teacher gave him a failing grade, officially damning him to become a drop out, or forcing him to enlist in another year of schooling. For the first time in his life, the boy felt a bit distraught with himself…until one of the dumber Gennin actually missed the target and ended up hitting one of his classmates and impaling them in the chest with it. Like a bolt of lightning, Asahi sprinted his way towards the boy, and in front of the entire Academy, managed to conjure the weakest of healing ninjutsu he had managed to pick up from his extracurricular studies. Though the technique was only able to narrowly close the wound and prevent infection, Asahi had performed a technique that was infinitely more complex than any of the simple illusions the rest of the kids were asked to conjure.Suddenly, Asahi didn’t seem like a failure sitting in the darkness of his brother’s shadow anymore. ✹ Chapter III: Of Purpose and Puppy Love Though the academy couldn’t issue a passing grade for Asahi’s quick thinking and surprising diligence due to regulations, it wouldn’t be long before a note in the family’s mailbox would come for the boy directly from Hinata Hospital. Apparently someone put in a good word for the boy due to his actions at the final exams, and the Chief of Medicine decided that Asahi had the potential to be a full-fledged medic based on his performance. The letter detailed the necessity for medi-nin and doctors due to the high fatality rate that came with being a ninja village. Shinobi were a dime a dozen, but medics were difficult to find and even more expensive to train. The fact that the boy had picked up enough on his own to manage a makeshift medical jutsu on the spot without any formal training pinned him as a perfect target. In his letter was a job offer that Asahi simply couldn’t refuse. Not because there was plenty of money to be made as a doctor, but purely due to the fact that this type of environment would allow him to study methods that would allow him to help cure Tsukiyo of his disease. Within days, Asahi was already signed up and ready to undergo the training process to help him become a medic within Hinata Hospital. Each and every day he’d have to wake up at the crack of dawn for training, but he’d always come home with a bright smile on his face, seeing each day as one step closer towards repairing Tsukiyo’s destiny to be the very best ninja this world had ever seen. After a couple months of training, the boy would finally be accepted into the Hospital as an Intern, doing little more than cleaning bedpans and other menial tasks. Though the work was dirty and the boy spent most of every day in the hospital, he was happy. Happy to be a part of something bigger. Happy to finally have some purpose in his life. Even as the months past and the job continued to get harder and harder, Asahi would not complain, would not falter. His never ending smile became a beacon of hope for many of the patients that he had the pleasure of assisting. The staff always took note.Shortly after the boy turned 14, he had an encounter with one young Hyuuga girl named Izanami. She had come to the hospital for a check up due to a fairly mild injury she suffered to her arm. Asahi’s superiors deemed this case simple enough for him to handle on his own, leaving the girl in his care. The two hit it off almost immediately, and after the boy had sewn her arm back up with tendrils of soothing chakra, they had remained in contact and eventually became the best of friends. Asahi had never really made many friends in his childhood, so this girl had the honor of being his first. On the few days the boy actually managed to have off, he spent half of the day with his brother, giving him mild treatments to assist in any pain he might have been feeling, as well as providing him with company. The other half would be spent with ‘Nana’, as he came to call her, defying all of the protests from his clansmen on how Uchiha and Hyuuga did not simply become ‘friends’. Despite this, the two went out of their way to maintain their friendship, and as the months went by the two’s friendship began to blossom, until one fateful encounter cemented the two into a relationship. Now, with Tsukiyo beginning to return to the ninja world, and Nana already frequently putting herself in danger due to her own potent talents, Asahi stands at the precipice of a choice- either continue caring for only patients in the hospital, or risk going out into the field to also help protect the people he loves most in the world. ✹ Chapter IV: Dance of Embers [TBA]
  16. ✹ Character Information ✹ Name: Uchiha Asahi ✹ Aliases: N/A ✹ Gender: Male ✹ Age: 16 ✹ Birth Date: April 4th ✹ Nationality: Hi no Kuni [Land of Fire] ✹ Village: Konohagakure no Sato [The Village Hidden in the Leaves] ✹ Clan: Uchiha ✹ Kekkei Genkai: The Sharingan ✹ Blood Type: A+ ✹ Organization: The Disciples of Ninshū ✹ Appearance ✹ Hair: Short; Cherry Blossom Pink ✹ Eyes: Emerald ✹ Skin: Fair ✹ Height: 5'6 ✹ Weight: 138lbs ✹ Summary: As a Doctor first and a Shinobi second, Asahi bears a slender frame without much in the way of muscle mass. His gentle features and narrow form make him appear to be the pushover he very clearly is. While most of his hair is cropped rather short, the sides of his bangs generally hang low enough to almost reach his chin. Despite it's typical messy appearance thanks to him frequently pulling all-nighters, his hair retains it's vivid pink shine. His eyes are bright and large, frequently causing him to look akin to a lost puppy when pushed into an awkward or stressful situation. Asahi prefers clothing with brighter, pleasant colors than what you might usually find an Uchiha in, and can frequently be found lounging about in simple hospital scrubs even when outside of work. Despite working alongside ill individuals on a day-to-day basis, Asahi remains extremely healthy thanks to his relatively good diet and washing habits. ✹ Personality ✹ Positive: Optimistic, Loving, Dedicated, Accepting ✹ Negative: Overbearing, Naive, Cowardly, Passive ✹ Summary: Asahi is an absolute paragon of optimism, standing atop a world built on nihilism. In Asahi's eyes, there is no mountain that can't be climbed, no force that can't be overcome, and no situation that is completely hopeless. He absolutely adores any and all life and seems to be incapable of holding any ill will towards anyone. Even those who are excessively rude to him will either find themselves brushed off or continually beaten to death by his joyful demeanor. To cynics in the world, his personality can be grating on the nerves. The boy simply won't accept the worst possible scenario no matter how bad the situation in. His mind is always positive and continually looking towards the brightest future possible. To those who are also optimistic or at least indifferent, it's hard not to be caught up in the infectious positivity that the boy radiates. Any and all are accepted by this naive child. However, Asahi's confidence is truly a fragile thing. Most of the time the smiles adorning his face are real. Some days, though, especially the ones that never have anything go quite right, Asahi's smile is a facade that belies depression, indecisiveness and cowardice. The boy is NOT a fighter and takes his Hippocratic Oath very seriously. In combat situations, the boy is prone to using Genjutsu offensively in order to do the most minimal damage to his target as he could possibly manage. He believes himself incapable of killing, even other animals to survive if push came to shove, but he has yet to be faced with such a test. Asahi's personality is a byproduct of being the younger brother to Uchiha Tsukiyo- the prodigy who never was. Asahi remains positive for his elder brother's sake, searching day in and day out in desperation to find a cure for his terminal illness. He hopes that, in time, he could restore Tsukiyo to perfect health so that he could fulfill the great destiny his clan believes he has in store for him. Asahi isn't searching for praise himself. To see his brother back and on his feet again with a genuine smile would be enough. ✹ Goals: Cure Tsukiyo of his terminal illness Become Chief of Medicine at Hinata Hospital Figure out World Peace if he gets around to it ✹ Likes: Spring Early Morning Jogs Reading Hospitals Soft Blankets Practicing Medicine Campfires Family Time ✹ Dislikes: NS3 [Tsukiyo's Terminal Illness] Nhilisim Bullies Combat Lonliness Clan Stigmas His Weakness Himself ✹ Favorites: Food: Kompeitō Color: Pink Music: Classical Book: Medical Journals ✹ Relationships Father - Uchiha Rikusuke: Asahi and his father never had the closeness that the boy craved while growing up. Always the second fiddle to his elder brother's genius, Rikusuke rarely acknowledged Asahi's existence outside of obligation. When Tsukiyo fell ill and the strain between him and his father became apparent, Rikusuke quickly turned to Asahi to try and see if the boy held the same potential as his elder brother. When it came to light that he did not, Rikusuke became distant until it was revealed that Asahi had a knack for medical ninjutsu. At which point, his father found a use for him, placing added expectations on the younger brother to figure out a way to cure Tsukiyo before his terminal illness took him for good. Mother - Uchiha Nalati: While his relationship with his father was almost nonexistent, Asahi had something a little more substantial with his mother. The woman did her best to show the younger brother her affection, but most of it was squashed beneath Rikusuke's heel, as he was adamant about his refusal to let Asahi be babied. The expectation for him to fulfill the role Tsukiyo was destined for was overwhelming, and he believed that only through hardships would Asahi improve. The young medic has still not forgotten his mother's attempts at being a proper parent, if nothing else. Older Brother - Uchiha Tsukiyo: Asahi and Tsukiyo did not start out close initially. Asahi admired his brother's potential from afar, never holding him accountable for the poor treatment that the rest of the clan had towards him. Tsukiyo's strength was what Asahi aspired to have, and as a result he put his brother on a pedestal just like everyone else. But more importantly, Asahi never felt like Tsukiyo looked down on him for not possessing his same potential. That kindness is what drove Asahi into the pursuit of medical ninjutsu once Tsukiyo fell ill, and why he struggles in a kill-or-be-killed world despite it representing everything he stands against. Asahi is intent on saving his brother from his inevitable demise, even if he has to pay the ultimate cost himself. Ex-Girlfriend - Hyuuga Izanami: Once a sweet and pure inter-clan puppy love, the relationship between Asahi and Izanami has since been turned sour and broken. Asahi and Izanami met through a routine checkup at the hospital while the Uchiha was on the job, and before long it evolved into a friendship that eventually blossomed into young love. 'Nana', as he came to call her, was unrelentingly brilliant, much like his older brother. In time he began to admire her strength and aspired to be her equal in battle so that he could stand confidently at her side. Despite the stern distaste both of their clans had towards the union, the two remained stalwart together until eventually something changed in the girl. She would no longer speak to him or give him the time of the day without warning. Naive and desperate to discover the cause of this sudden cold shoulder, Asahi went as far as to sign himself up for the tournament at Arrakis that she was competing in to try to talk to her. Ultimately the two would be paired against one another, and Asahi would receive only a thorough beating for his troubles at the hand of the girl he loved with no answers as his reward. While he has since accepted that he will never receive closure, the Uchiha cannot help but reflect on the death of his first real relationship during lonesome, sleepless nights. Mentor - Hyuuga Yatako: Though their time spent together was brief, Asahi has found a mentor in the Hokage after working together for a short time. He admires what Yatako stands for, and wishes that he was a stronger pupil so that he could perhaps one day be deserving of being his full-time student.
