Boots are Naomi's regular footwear, but sometimes she wears black slippers with stripy socks and lacy stockings cover her legs as well. -Physical Description: Naomi has an hourglass figure. She's very flexible from doing yoga every morning, which helps keep her acrobatic physic. She is average height for a girl with a thin but curvy figure. A light tan covers her body. Naomi's very pretty with a gorgeous smile. Her lips are usually covered in blood red lipstick, matching the color on her painted nails. High cheekbones and rosy cheeks give her a cute appearance, with a small dusting of freckles added when she's been in the sun for too long. The only disfiguration is a long kunai scar travels from the middle of her back to her belly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~History~ Background: Naomi never knew her father; he left her mother before she was born. It didn't really bother her much, but as a little girl she always thought there was a part missing from her life, and that he was it. Life as a child went by quickly for Naomi; it was full of happiness, love and freedom. She was a gypsy girl, and she loved her traveling family. Her mother, Mai, was a very kind and spiritual women but very strong and haughty. Not long after Naomi was born arrived her little half-sister, Aiko. They were very close and Naomi was very protective over her. Because the gypsies were entertainers, Naomi was an acrobatic child. Her aunts taught her to sing and play instruments, while her cousins taught her tricks to baffle strangers. She could bend to extreme lengths, and perform illusions while the rest of the caravan sold homemade jewelry and other treasures from other towns. Aged eight, Naomi was sent to the ninja academy to train because it was an old family tradition. Nonetheless, she was excited to go. Four years later, she graduated and returned to the people with whom she called anyplace home. It was the right time too, because the Kumo invasion had just begun and her family needed all the ninja's they could get, even a green one such as herself. That night, upon her return, the caravan was attacked by the NCIA. Turns out, they were delivering weapons to the rebels, and someone had found out. Half drunk with the celebration and unprepared made the gypsies an easy target, and they went down quickly. Most men were killed in action and some women joined them, including Naomi's mother. The teenager would have helped fight, but she was ordered by her demanding mother to protect her little sister and find someplace safe. "As long as you two survive, nothing else matters to me” Was the last thing Naomi heard before half carrying Aiko away. The two stayed at their grandmothers until Aiko had her eigth birthday and moved to the training academy. Naomi lived in mournful silence for months before again, her home was attacked. This time she wanted to help, to defend herself and her relations. Her gran died almost instantly; having serious arthritis weighed her down. But with her out of the way the group played with Naomi, teasing her, testing her weak abilities. They made their youngest Gennin fight her, and as she turned around to fight her opposer a sharp pain seared down her side. She tried to ignore it, this pain was nothing to what she'd felt inside, but her energy became weaker and weaker. Her eyes traveled to her hips where a large red stain spread through her t-shirt. She fainted shortly after that. Naomi awoke in a pitch-black small room. There was no one else around, but plenty of food. For many days she was locked in that tiny little room, with no light for her eyes to see by, there was only touch to find her way. Slowly, after a week she felt herself starting to go crazy. She wasn't as sad as she had been in the past few months. There were people there, with her, only she couldn't see them. Voices. She spoke to them, and they became her friends. As well as the new inhabitants of her mind, she was experiencing different emotions, out of the blue. One moment she was normal, the next she felt extreme sadness, then anger. A month went by before someone found her, days after her last food and water ran out. They helped her recover quickly from the lack of sunlight and food. Naomi found after she was back to full health that there was a new determination and fire that had not been there before inside her. With anger and revenge in her heart Naomi joined the resistance to cause pain to those who had done so much hurt to her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Persona~ Personality: She is a strange girl. Eagerness was pushing Kaoru forward to do this one thing that made him stronger than at least one person. He'd always felt pathetic ever since he'd been forced to become a slave; it felt so good to impart that damaging feeling upon another. Sudden pain awoke Kaoru from his thoughts, and he stepped back in anger clutching his bleeding hands. "Ha! You don't have the guts to kill me, Matsuki Kitara!” Kaoru spoke, his eyes seemingly shadowed and dark. "You're weak, pathetic! For all you know this is someone in the transformation jutsu; do you really want to kill your best friend?” He stepped closer to the tearful girl, he towered over her and seem to dominate her just by looking down at her. His hands swept to his sides, uncaring about his hurt hand, and pulled out a kunai, twirling it around his index finger. "How are you going to kill me?” Kaoru spoke in a deadly whisper, "When you couldn't even save your own mother?!” ---- Kitara quickly stepped away as the boy advanced, holding her kunai threateningly in front of her bodice. The girl's lips parted in disbelief as Kaoru whispered his merciless words, cutting her flesh far deeper than her blade had cut him. "He's right... I am pethet-" Kitara abruptly forced the thought from her mind, fighting to hold back the familiar feeling of guilt and helplessness. "I'll show you what I can do, you little bastard" Response Phase: N/A Setup Phase: N/A Main Phase: With that, Kitara sought deep inside herself, desperate to find the will to destroy this man... her best friend. "Gomen nasai" She whispered through her veil of tears, flicking her wrist in a clean and swift movement, sending her projectile cascading towards the vulnerable flesh of Kaoru's throat. Though, his bright eyes were not quick enough to see that deadly flick of her wrist that sent her kunai flying through the air. He gasped. Blood coughed out his mouth as his hands reached to his throat. Kaoru's knees buckled and he fell kneeling to the damp earth. His gorgeous, blue eyes widened in shock at the site of blood on his hands and t-shirt. His torso rocked back and forward as his strength drained from him. He looked up at his best friend, the pain of death numb to him. Why did I do this? Kaoru thought as his facial expression dimmed along his will to live. With his last amount his strength he looked at Kitara, "I'm sorry puppet.” Loss Tag: (HP: -98 | Chakra: -0 | Stamina: -0) ---- [Rhianna's word count: 303] [Total count: 5537] [Ashlea's word count: 122] [Total count: 5142]

Kaoru's ebony haired head shot towards the flames at the sound of booms and bangs. His eyes widened in both fear and awe as he watched the village burn. For a second, the thing he'd planned for that night had been swept out of his mind from the rush he got as he saw those dancing red and yellow flames eat the buildings alive. His bright blue eyes glanced down at the young girl next to him, and decided he wasn't going to waste this night. As the people of the town ran about in chaos, fear consumed their judgment, Kaoru took hold of Kitara's delicate yet strong hands and steered her away from the buildings being destroyed. The boy didn't fear the burning beast, he was fire and he loved its power. "Come Kit," he shouted above the noise. "Lets find the others." It took a while to show that he was doing something else though, heading the wrong way. Kaoru's strong grip stopped Kitara from pulling away, as they entered the cold shadow of the forest. He hardly spoke, but forced her down on the damp earthen ground. She struggled, but he was stronger and he held her down by her shoulders to stop her escaping as he started to undress her. "Stop moving. I'm gonna do this, you can't stop me." There was a dark glint in his crystal blue gaze as he spoke, and the sadistic smirk that had played on his lips was there once more to send shivers up anyone's spine. Part of him cared for Kitara, they had been friends for a long time. But he'd changed, and he no longer cared about those kinds of things. Besides, Kitara was drugged. She wouldn't remember anything in the morning. ((Word Count: 296 Total: 5,234))

Kaoru observed Kitara with a curious smile on his lips. His sapphire eyes noticed the glazed look upon Kitara's pretty face, and then the look of frustration -probably because she was having trouble seeing. He followed his friend as she went over to her teammates and looked inconspicuous with the placing; he still didn't know these people very well, and he didn't trust them. The teen got a surprise when Kitara caught hold of him to steady herself. His strong, callused hands held her around the waist to steady her. A worrying look fell on Kaoru's face as he looked at Kitara "Hey.. are you alright?" He whispered, half concerned about her health. ((Word Count: 113 Total: 4,938)) ((Sorry about the short post. I'm really tired and with no creativity))

Kaoru sat with his head in his hand, stopping the dizzy spells that came when he moved too fast. His long midnight hair fell over his face, casting a ghostly shadow across his features. At that moment he looked like a dark, haunting man; the type that would easily use their stronger form to overpower an innocent girl. But when the teen turned to look up at his friend as she sat next to him, Kaoru smiled and became high-spirited once more. "Of course, my doll-like friend," Kaoru grinned an evil twinkle in his eye. "Do you not like it?" Even though the boy was highly tipsy and had trouble walking straight, his speech was the same as ever and he seemed to have a cool head. For a tiny millisecond he studied her, the way she acted around him and others, her appearance, but it was so minute it was unnoticeable. Standing he walked over to a drink stand and bought two drinks. One he gave to Kitara, with that weird sadistic smile on his lips that people who knew Kaoru got used to. Had you looked close to the two drinks together you might notice a slight difference in thickness, but only for a second before whatever else was in it dissolved. "Bottoms up," Kaoru said, his cold voice louder than usual to be heard above the singing, music and laughter as his crystal blue eyes roamed the square and he downed his sharp tasting drink. The night was ablaze with colour and light. Red, blue and yellow ribbons pranced and moved with grace as the dancers controlling them twirled and danced through the glow of lanterns and fireflies. The stars above seemed to sing in tune with the choruses; the night was alive. ((Word Count: 296 Total Word Count: 4,837))

"Uh, I dunno.." Kaoru replied to Baromosa's question, his icy gaze travelling the scenery. He didn't expect the musicians on stage to perform anything he would like, and Kaoru didn't dance. He'd had minor schooling in ballroom but he wasn't about to demonstrate those skills anytime soon. He was surprised when the violinist started a haunting solo, which was close to Kaoru's favourite genre of music. "I'm going to find more things to eat," the ebony haired boy said and walked off a bit, careful not to lose Kitara in doing so. The time was passing slowly, but as the moon shone brightly in the midnight sky and the torches gave the most light Kaoru felt the need to stop drinking. Finding it hard to stand any more he sat on a bench and watched the carnival go on. He'd participated in several events, mostly because of his tipsy manor. ((Word Count:150 Total Word Count: 4,536))

Kaoru grinned and downed the shot Kitara had handed to him, mixing the taste with the wine after he took it back of his raven-haired friend. He loved the bitterness that came from alcohol, and the feeling you got after only several glasses. The boy turned at the voicing of his name, to see Baromosa approaching the duo through the crowd. "I'm not," Kaoru laughed. "But this girl is an old friend." He glanced between the two before adding, "Kit, this is Baromosa. He's on my team." He practically mumbled the word team, seeing there was not much team spirit going on in their group. "Baromosa, this is Kitara from the other group that just arrived..." Kaoru grabbed more food and ate them quickly, getting down the amount he would usually eat at dinner of berry pies, tarts, cakes and beverages. And then came the time of thought when he wondered whether to get drunk, or stay sober and alert. Of course, in the end he would be wasted but he still tried -sort of- to count his drinks. "What is there to do in this tiny town on a night like this.." Kaoru wondered aloud, to any ear really that was listening. ((Word Count: 203 Total Word Count: 4,386))

Kaoru raised his eyebrow at the obvious request at them to leave. So he did, without a remark to the duo. He guessed that Arika's chakra must have run out, though doing what Kaoru hadn't a clue. The door closed with a soft click behind him and Kaoru followed Kitara back the way they'd come. "Okay," Kaoru agreed to the girl's suggestion. He didn't like to admit it, though he would when needed, but he was the weakest here and in need of some good training. A cool, soft breeze tugged at Kaoru's long midnight hair as they opened the door and stepped outside. He had hardly noticed from the inside but the singing and cheering and laughter was very loud now, as the festivities had started to pick up. Walking a short way behind Kitara, Kaoru found himself carrying a wine bottle after only a few paces. Raising his dark eyebrows, but smiling all the same he uncorked the drink and took a swig. He didn't really care where they were going, so he let Kitara lead him. "Nice, " Kaoru said, raising his voice above the loud chorus people were singing a short way away. "This is similar to the midsummer celebrations at Konoha. I love these kind of things; all the music, dancing girls, drinks, girls wasted..." Kaoru laughed, he was only joking but he was interested in Kitara's reaction. "What about you? Do you not like these festivities, Puppet?" The boy smiled, and grabbed a piece of blackberry pie from a girl who was walking around with a tray in hand and giving out different assortments of food. ((Word Count: 272 Total Word Count: 4,183))

The ebony haired boy listened to Kitara's tale of the two and how they met he showed a good common interest in what she was saying. It had been so long since they had talked, or merely seen each other. It was just weird talking to her again. He took note of his sensei leaving, and understood that the festival all the townspeople had been preparing throughout the day was finally starting. Kaoru actually quite enjoyed festivals and parades, strangely enough. So Kaoru began to stand and offer to go outside with Kit, but instead she took control. Kaoru let Kitara take his hand in hers and lead him upstairs, guessing she was looking for the others. He couldn't help but cringe at the creaks and groans of the inn as the inhabitants in it moved about. He liked silent houses, so it was easier to catch sneaks and spies. When the girl opened the door and they saw Arika on the bed and Ryuu trying to wake her up they shared a split glance in each others direction. At the sight of Arika out cold and Ryuu in the same room, alone, he couldn't withhold a sinister smile from escaping his lips. The teen didn't say anything though. He was unsure what they could do in this situation, so he waited for Ryuu to answer Kit's question before he might suggest anything to help. ((Word Count: 235 Total: 3,911))

Kaoru smiled his sly, half smile while his crystal-blue eyes gazed into Kitara's azure ones. Stretching out his arms before him with his fingers interlocked he clicked them, enjoying the sensation that came with it. Bringing his hands back to his chest he did the same to his knuckles, the sound that came from them was surprisingly loud and hollow. The teen took a deep sigh and leant back in his seat before turning to his female friend once more. "Not really..." He said, his gorgeous voice rolling off his long tongue in an almost teasing manner. "But you look like you've been doing some hard training," Kaoru spoke while his eyes glanced over Kitara's body, noticing the bruises and scratches that littered her form. It amazed him how she looked after only a couple of years, he was still getting used to it. Then he spotted the kitten resting on Kit's shoulders, and his eyebrows rose in question. Kaoru didn't really favour animals over humans, nor the other way round. Cats were okay in his books though because they were less susceptible to bend to human will as say, dogs do. "I don't remember him," Kaoru nodded to the feline as he followed the cat's movements. ((Word Count: 208 Total Word Count: 3,676))

Kaoru nodded to his female friend, then turned to the breakfast table to grab a meal. He ate his breakfast quickly, even though it was a large one. When he was finished he left the building; he had no desire to stay and chat to the others. He needed a walk. The soft souls of Kaoru's converse shoes made no noise as the teenager walked along the cobbled streets, his blue eyes turned icy from the morning sun as he watched the towns people rush around getting ready for the festival that evening. Boredom seemed to seep into Kaoru's mind as he travelled, uncaring about the world around him yet always aware of it all. He needed training, and got the feeling no one else really new that. He had no experience and was stuck on the lowest level of skill. Kaoru felt that he was getting lazy. He didn't work out as much as he used to, nor go for runs in the early hours of the mornings any more. I should do that. Kaoru thought as he turned around and took a short cut back to the inn. Having no desire to be seen walking up the stairs and running back down again Kaoru went to the back and stared up at the balcony. He took a running jump and managed to get his hand on the railing. Bringing the other up he pulled himself up and flung his body over the railing to land with a thump on the balcony. Walking over to his door he unlocked it and stepped inside. Dumping his thick coat on the bed he changed into his only pair of shorts and took his shoes off, letting his feet breathe freely for the run. Kaoru locked his door once more before jumping of the balcony and running off. Hours past before the young man returned and got washed in the bathed in the private bathes designed for everyone to go whether you wanted it private or more sociable. Kaoru grabbed a change of clothes and washed quickly in one of the private rooms before returning to the inn. It was late evening by the time he sat on the same armchair in which he had been seated in that morning, and his legs felt like pudding but strangely he liked the feeling that came from hard work. Long, ebony hair hung loosely to frame Kaoru's handsome face as his icy-blue eyes watched the small movement of his toes under black and white shoes. A soft jangle of the doorbell alerted Kaoru to new comers as he smelt the delicious scent of breakfast cooking and being laid on the table. Tuning his fine senses in the direction of the doorway Kaoru listened from his comfortable seat to hear who the strangers were. Only one voice was familiar, Soujiro. At the recognition of this one man Kaoru seemed to relax slightly; surely he wouldn't bring anyone untrustworthy here? "Oh, I'd like you to meet with the rest of the team. Mizumono, Arkia, Ryuu, Kitara and Naraku." The dark teenager rose in his seat a little as Soujiro introduced the others to his sister. Kaoru's eyebrows rose at the mention of a girl's name. Matsuki Kitara? She's here? He thought as he stood out of his chair. Walking over to the dinning room he entered to be greeted by the delectable smell of freshly baked bread and waffles. His eyes caught hold of the people who had just had their sealed chakra unlocked. Kaoru ignored the food and spotted the familiar pretty face of his old friend. "Kitara!" He exclaimed, opening his arms wide and engulfing her in a friendly hug. They had both grown and matured since they had last seen each other, there was a change in the duo. But non-the less, Kitara was as beautiful as ever. ((Word Count: 250 Total Word Count: 3,074))
