Attention All Rockers

All thoughts of Iwagakure citizens this week will dwell on one thing. The Annual Metropolis Festival of course! This four day long event will bring together some of the continents greatest artists will gather together and perform live on stage before the masses. The capital city has been preparing months in advance to stage the event; promising that this year will be 'unique' and something to stand out amongst past events. The locals have been quick to set up stalls, decorate the streets. Merchants from all over line the streets with stalls sporting trinkets even from small chain islands in the vast Eastern Ocean!

Honorable Captian of the Iwagakure sect of the Ninja Crime and Investigation Agency (NCIA); Matsugami Hidetada, will be organizing the events security. He has assured us here at The Iwagakure Independent that security will remain tight despite their recent triumph over the terrorist organization who entitle themselves as 'The Resistance'.

Only a couple days ago now a special task force drawn together by Matsugami Hidetada and Vice-captain Futoi Ai carried out and succeeded in a well orchestrated attack to finally eliminate the terrorist sect that has brought much trouble to the NCIA and Iwagakure over the past couple years. Agent Kameko Natsumi, who took part in the operation, had this to say: "The 'Resistance' I can assure you is no more. There may still exist small cells that are still loyal to this organization, and our forces are working day and night to hunt down these members and bring them to justice." Encouraging words from such a valiant officer, and if I may- beautiful, officer.

The Festival will mark the first day of a new era of peace and harmony, definitely it is not to be missed. It could also be considered a 'thank you' to the NCIA, serving as an event in their honour. Tickets can be purchased from local ticket offices, all proceedings will be going towards rebuilding the damage caused by the terrorists; rebuilding for the future.

From the Ruble of the Rock (Concert)

With The Annual Metropolis Festival now over for more than a week; the city has been left in ruins. Thousands are left in grieving that they will have to wait an entire year until the stars of the world return to Iwa. It is an emotional time for many who were involved in the event itself and those who played spectator; but it is those who spectated who made the Festival what it was this year according to The Gleam Garden front-man Alec Lowe, who also had this to add:

"We are proud of the turnout this year and cannot wait to come back next year. We will be on tour in the Far East for the majority of next year but we always recieve are greatest audience back home in Metropolis. The crowd was great, I can't applaud them enough."

The Festival aside; I must bring to your attention that with the flood of people travelling in and out of Iwa due to the coming and passing event, travel has been restricted at this time as the Country is now at particular threat of invasion from immigrants, in particular; hostile terrorist organiztions is what the security forces at boarder patrol are looking for.

To end: we are left picking up the peices of a trully memorable week in the history of perhaps the entire Country, the eyes of all of Iwa look towards the future and what next great act we have in store for us.
