Changes the climate to Firestorm for three turns. When this technique is used the user may target a Set Trap created by a jounin-rank technique or lower on the field and spend 3 Lotus charges. The targeted Set Trap has a 40% chance to deal no damage or effects when triggered. This charge special effect may only be used twice per battle. Description: In the wake of a great spinning kick, the user conjures great gusts of flame to rampage across the field. The flames persist not only to rain agony on the hapless combatants below, but can also sear the integrity of hazards lurking on the battlefield. JP: 9 Steel Lotus: Remorseless Winter Type: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu [Hybrid | Steel | Lotus | Set Trap] Rank: Jounin Cost: 84 health, 84 chakra, 84 stamina Damage: 15 per strike, 3 strikes Effect: Creates a set trap with 3 strikes. In addition to damage, the strikes inflict: First strike: Destroy Item Second strike: Slow for 2 turns Third strike: Fazed for 1 turn and Hypothermia;2 for 2 turns. Additional: The user may pay 1 Lotus charge to add a fourth strike that deals 15 damage and inflicts Unbalanced for 1 turn. This charge is paid when the trap is created. Description: An unusual technique among the Steel Lotus arsenal. Amassing a ball of steel, the user pulverizes it into a ferric aerosol. Suspended by chakra, the steel motes float among the battlefield until aggregation is triggered. The steel reforms on its victim, acting like ice in the manner in which it conducts away heat. Under ideal conditions, the technique is capable of shattering any substance it congeals on. JP: 9 Steel Lotus: Hukou, the Tiger’s Mouth Type: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu [Hybrid | Steel | Lotus] Rank: Jounin Cost: 90HP, 90 chakra, 90 stamina Damage: 45 Effect: Target is under the effects of Stasis and Metabolic Breakdown for 2 turns, and Opening: Steel Lotus: Hukou, the Tiger’s Mouth. Description: Fingers braced like the fangs of a tiger’s maw, the Steel Lotus fighter drives an immense amount of pressure into the opponent’s root chakra, located at the base of the spine. The move is capable of incapacitating even the most steadfast of opponents, and the user’s advantageous position behind their target makes it easy to perform this strike twice. You can still afford both because climate and terrain techniques add CP to your cap at Chuunin and Jonin rank. … Though this did make me realize that someone could theoretically add a cheap 40CP climate to all their attacks for a huge CP cap boost, so if any of you see that or other abuse of the increased cap somewhere, please shut that down lol Also, the option makes this technically two techniques in one, because someone could just make a version of this without the option for 7 JP, and then another one with the option’s effect and charge cost a required component for 9JP, and they’d function exactly like this one does at nearly double the cost. Remorseless Winter The math checks out, but this runs into the same issue as Firestorm Kick regarding JP stuff. Tiger’s Mouth LMAO, I love when stuff opens into itself xD Regardless, you’re undercharging a bit for Opening. This is the math I had: 30 (45 damage) + 140 (two turns of Metabolic Breakdown) + 100 (two turns of Stasis) = 270 CP and 7 JP. Opening into that would be 20 (base) + 70 (7 JP) = 90, which pushes us up to 360 CP and 9 JP. However because the JP cost went, the price of Opening increases further to 110, for a total of 380 CP. This is a little counterintuitive, but it’s how we have handled techniques that Opened into themselves in the past, please see the first one here as an example.
