PhantasyIV Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 (edited) Sooo... What would stop me from buying a tanto instead of wasting 2 skill points on Kunai use? I mean, there's no small weapon base cost chart, but that's the kind of weapon I desire for my character. Weapon: Tanto Weapon Name: N/A Size: Medium Type: melee Description: 14" weapon - 6" handle, 8" blade. Tan sheath and handle, yellow cloth wrapping. Attribute: Other: N/A EDIT: ignore the first paragraph. Will buy a level 3 of the above. No specials, just a weapon. ($60) Tsuchiiro-hi Kata's account. Edited August 13, 2005 by PhantasyIV
Guest Eikama Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 wouldnt that just be a medium weapon? or no...
PhantasyIV Posted August 13, 2005 Author Posted August 13, 2005 From years of D&D, and my personal understanding of the weapon system, Standard katanas are medium sized weapons (appx 40" total). Meanwhile, Cloud's buster sword is a Large weapon. Therefore the sword the Konoha Chounin used with his "Dance of the Cresent Moon (Mikazuki no Mai)" technique would be medium, and Temari's fan is large. I'm talking about a weapon the length of an adult forearm from end to end. Should be considered small.
Guest Eikama Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Well, i understand that concept, but there like, isnt a system for stamina costs etc.... so it would, for the sake of stats, be classified as medium, ne? Also, on the site it said that mediums are onehanded and large are two handed... this would be one handed.
PhantasyIV Posted August 13, 2005 Author Posted August 13, 2005 Medium - These are weapons that are used with one hand. The include short swords, daggers, etc. From the main site. You are correct sir. My post will be edited to reflect.
Guest Eikama Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 ? so you are... making it medium or small?
PhantasyIV Posted August 13, 2005 Author Posted August 13, 2005 Medium. It has to be according to the quote I pulled from equipment rules in the Basic RPG rules section
