A wall of ice had was placed between the Anbu officer and the genin from Sunagakure. "Whoo, glad I made it in time." The Sennin soon appeared from deep within the forest, wearing his vest to signify where he hailed from. "This is what happens when you run off little one. Studying is difficult but this is unacceptable, as we will have a nice little conversation about it when we get you home." Tapping Hyourinmaru's tip on the ground he shattered the barrier between him and the Anbu officer, revealing himself to the ninja. "Im afraid you can't take this one. Do everyone a favor and let us go without a hassle would ya?"

[ Tsubasa's Theme Music ]

Tsubasa had discovered the Sunagakure Genin in the Forest of Death, only about a kilometer out from the village itself. He had tracked the young one easily, intending to submit and detain them for questioning. Konohagakure had adapted an extreme form of isolationism after the death of Hyuuga Yatako and the rise of the Juuyondaime Hokage Uchiha Nevan. The policy had put them at odds with nations that may have been allies, but it was necessary in the uncertain landscape of the post war world. As such, any unauthorized shinobi that approached the village was subject to detainment and questioning at the very least, imprisonment was well within their rights. In a twist of fate, Endo Tsubasa had found respect in the Uchiha and had returned to the village proper to fight for him and his ideals. So it was a surprise when a second man, Hitsugaya Toushirou of Sunagakure no Sato, appeared in the forest of death as well. The massive wall of ice that now blocked off a large portion of the forest and kept the azure eyed man from his prey was just another showing of strength.

"You realize that use of such a powerful jutsu this close to Konohagakure could be seen as an act of war, correct?"

Leather Eye Patch
Body Placement: Head
Attributes: +80 Concentration; Endō Tsubasa Only. Can be used to cover Harō Kouka, takes one Setup Phase to do.
Description: A new leather eye patch colored black that Tsubasa got along his travels. At a point in his life he acknowledged that the eye patch was going to be a permanent part of him and he figured that a medical bandage made him look too weak for most normal situations. This new eye patch is finely crafted, made specifically for Tsubasa's head and cut well enough that it actually accents his attire rather than being an unsightly blemish on his otherwise finely curated appearance.

Jounin Vest
Body Placement: Chest
Attributes: +80 Defense, +80 Evasion. +225 Weapon Slots.
Description: An over-vest worn by Shinobi of the Jounin rank. The vest itself is a unsaturated green that works great for camouflage. The Konohagakure no Sato crest is emblazoned on the chest along with the traditional red swirl on the small of the back. Scroll and other holster adorn the chest.

Focus Badge
Body Placement: Anywhere

Attributes: +20 Concentration.
Description: A small circular badge of a white color, emitting a small trace of chakra that stimulates the brain to focus harder but remains at ease. The badge has a small inscribed symbol of Kumogakure on it.

Orichalcum Bands
Body Placement: Forearms
Attributes: +140 Speed, +10 Defense
Description: The metal Orichalcum is a special alloy of copper that is known for its properties when in contact with Chakra. The metal, whose name means 'mountain copper' for its area of discovery and origin, amplifies the user's Chakra usage when worn on a place near their core. The arm bands are specifically constructed to be attacked high up on the arm and worn under normal clothing, concealing it from normal view and preventing it from hindering movement.

The tones that Tsubasa had used was low, casual, but laced with an undercurrent of danger. His single azure eye scanned Toushirou, the other eye covered by a dark leather eye patch and charcoal grey hair. The forest around the two grew still, the birds going silence as the intensity in the air grew. Trees around all sides but one, to the east the ruins of some ancient and abandoned fortress had long been overrun by the forest's grown, tree roots tangling and breaking the stones that had previously been walls and towers. With a quick seal, Tsubasa made the first move. Two clones appeared to either side of the man, a simple ability that Toushirou would be rather familiar with.

Bunshin no Jutsu | Clone Technique
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 5x Chakra
Effects: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is considered to be the number of 'Clones' created by the user and may never be greater than 2. 'Clones' have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. 'Clones' are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every 'Clone' on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle.
Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshinjutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.

Lowering his posture, Tsubasa fell into a fighting stance. He did not know just how strong his opponent was, but he knew that the orders of Uchiha Nevan were clear. Any outsiders were to be eliminated or captured, especially if they displayed shows of force. The massive wall of ice to their side that kept the young shinobi safe for now was enough to display that this was not average shinobi. Someone of this caliber coming this close to his home must be a danger to everything he cared about. He would not let this man lay a sight on a single brick of Konohagakure alive. With a release of a held breath he felt the limitations on his mind unlock, preparing for battle.

Limit Release; Mind's Eye | Nogareruton; Seishin no Me | 限遁•精神の眼

Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Sennin
Cost: 190 Chakra
Effects: The target is granted 'Haste' for three (3) turns. In addition, the target gains a Shield with 170 Health for four (4) turns. The Shield created by this jutsu may only be granted two (2) times per battle.
Description: Similar to how 'Hachimon' releases the capabilities of the body by unlocking its built in restraints, Seishin no Me is a mental ability to trick the mind into exceeding its normal limits for a short burst of time. Though this skill lacks the power of the actual 'Hachimon' on which it is based, it is considered to be much safer due to its limited time and power. In addition to faster movement of body, the ninja is able to process information much more quickly than normal which gives them an advantage against incoming attacks as well. Though this premonition is limited, it is thought to be quite powerful when put in the right hands.

"Oh? So I suppose I should have just let you do what you pleased with our boy over here huh?" The Sennin couldn't do much but roll his eyes at the mess the little gennin had put him in. Since Nevan had returned back to the village and taken control, tensions had become higher than ever between Konoha and Sunagakure. The fact that gennin made it this far was impressive, but more so Toushirou being here was a big problem, his little display seemingly making things worse. He could feel it, the power brimming off of the leaf ninja before him, and it seemed as though he had no intention on letting them go, sizing up the suna ninja before creating clones.

"Doesn't look like you plan on letting us leave huh? Going to need to you run away and hide kid. I think this might get a little ugly." Toushirou had politely shoed the gennin away, watching him scurry off back into the woods. "Alright then. Lets see if we can resolve this."

-- [Main Phase]

The ninja really didn't come here with the intention on fighting, and if they could leave in peace it would be the most preferable option. At this point though to make that even a potential option a show of force was necessary. Biting his thumb he slammed his hand on the ground, causing Gamabunta to emerge from a large puff of smoke. "Who the—the Suna child? What do you want." Toushirou still wasn't quite use the the toad's rudeness, but that seemed to be their relationship for the time being. "I need you to talk some sense into the this guy. Have him understand that he reaaaaaaally doesn't want to fight."

The summons toad began to exam the man in front of him top to bottom and recognized that he was a ninja of Konogakure, and putting the toad in an odd position. "Don't make me do this kid. And damn you Toushirou" He said solemnly, torn between old and new alliances. Toushirou continued to hope it wouldn't come down to the boss having to fight those he had considered allies at one point.

As the smoke cleared from the summon, Tsubasa's eye would widen slightly at the giant form that appeared before him. Trees bent out of the way, making space for the massive creature that now looked down on the two men. Tsubasa could sense the genin running to the west, he could find the young one if he finished this fight. The small surprise that crossed the charcoal man's face would fade, his posture bowing slightly in formality towards the large toad as he spoke with Hitsugaya. As he straightened though his hand moved from his chest to his face, sliding the eye patch from his head.

"Forgive me Lord Gamabunta. Let our confrontation here not soil relations with Konohagakure."

The young man's left eye was a bright azure like the other, but a thin white halo circled his iris that pulsed with power.

Without any warning Tsubasa would be underneath Gamabunta, assaulting the titan of a creature with his fist. The movement was unreal, and something that would likely cause Hitsugaya to pause a moment to process. Tsubasa had just appeared below Gamabunta. One moment the man had been across the forest clearing near the wall of ice and the next he was underneath the massive summon sending a strong fist into the creature. If the attack connected it would likely knock the massive creature back sliding, a feat in itself that would be a testament to the strength of the man. Forcing a summon of Gamabunta's age and size to move was not an easy task.

Before Hitsugaya would even get a chance to act though, the man vanished from view. No, this was not speed. Hitsugaya had seen speed before, had even fought with some of the fastest known ninja in the world. How had such a man not been known outside of his village if he was able to move like this? Tsubasa was instantly at Hitsugaya's side, feet spinning as he aimed a swift kick at the center of his body. If the blow connected he would be winded, his actions slowed as he recovered from the precise blow.

Type: Taijutsu & Genjutsu [Vanishing Style | Endō Tsubasa]

Rank: Sennin

Cost: 210 Stamina & 210 Chakra

Damage: 760

Effects: The target is afflicted with 'Prone' and 'Bleeding; 40' for one (1) turn.

Description: Using the Shyōryu, Tsubasa will cause the opponent to have a momentary paralysis of the body and mind, giving them the illusion that time skipped ahead a few seconds. Within this time, Tsubasa preforms a forward rush, grabbing the opponent with all of his might and bringing his fist down onto them with a combination of bodily speed and strength. The opponent is smashed into the ground, causing internal damage and a bleeding effect afterwards as the body is wracked with a secondary wave agony. Due to the nature of the style it can become very unsettling when the opponent believes they are fighting an enemy that can teleport at will. The confusion and panic caused by the techniques of this style are an advantage that Tsubasa uses to defeat those that stand against him.

Effects: When this technique is preformed the user chooses "Inner" or "Outer".

• Inner Kick: 380 Damage.
• Outer Kick: 210 Damage. The target is afflicted with 'Slow' for two (2) turns and 'Fazed'.

Description: Using the Shyōryu, Tsubasa will cause the opponent to have a momentary paralysis of the body and mind, giving them the illusion that time skipped ahead a few seconds. Within this time, Tsubasa preforms a specialized kick technique he learned while training with the monks of the Bak Mei monastery. There are two variations of to this kick technique; the outer crescent and the inner crescent. The outer crescent raises the extended leg as high as possible and slightly up across the body, a bit across their center line, before sweeping outward to the side, in a circular movement. The inner crescent, the motions are the same but the direction of the kick changes, this time originating from the outside of the body, heading towards the inside, or center line of the body. When the opponent comes to, it gives the illusion to that Tsubasa teleported right up to them, catching them with the kick attack before they could even register that he was there. Due to the nature of the style it can become very unsettling when the opponent believes they are fighting an enemy that can teleport at will. The confusion and panic caused by the techniques of this style are an advantage that Tsubasa uses to defeat those that stand against him.

Gamabunta had signed as Tsubasa had already made up his mind about how things would go from here on. Before either the toad or the Suna ninja had a chance to blink the man had begun his assault, starting with a fist to the toad boss with enough force to send the massive being back right on his ass, surprising him and Toushirou. "Gamabunta!" The Sennin screamed out, worried about his companion, but the ninja had his own problems. Tsubasa had already made his way to the white haired ninja, his foot lifted in the air as he took a swing at the ninja, catching him square in the jaw and causing the Sennin flying back. "Soft." He told himself as he wiped the blood from his lip. "Gamabunta leave, seems as though i'll be doing this on my own." He said as he drew Hyourinmaru. The toad took his words to heart and soon vanished to heal his pride. "Its a shame its come to this."

Sōten Ni Zase | Sit Upon The Frozen Heavens | 霜天に坐せ
Effect: When this weapon is equipped the climate effect ‘Snow’ is added to the battlefield.  If equipped during the first turn of the battle the effect is delayed by one turn.  The climate effect ‘Snow’ created by this ability remains on the field as long as this weapon is equipped instead of a normal duration. When applied to the battlefield through this effect the climate effect ‘Snow’ may only be replaced from the battlefield by an ability of an equal or higher rank than the wielder. This effect may be triggered one (1) time per battle.
Description: They say that the chakra of the blue dragon was inherently cold, and by touching it, your own chakra cooled as well...."
When the command phrase is spoken "Sit on the Frosted Heavens, Hyorinmaru" the chakra dormant in the blade activates, combining with the user's chakra and instantly attuning them to the power of the legendary blue dragon who forged Hyorinmaru. The blade will cover with what appears to be ice, but is actually condensed chakra brought to extremely low temperatures. When the sword makes contact with its enemies, that chakra is transferred and begins attempting to freeze their chakra as well.

Daiguren Hyorinmaru | Grand Crimson Lotus Ice Ring | 大紅蓮 氷輪丸
Effect: This effect is considered an Advanced System. Each turn in the Setup Phase the wielder may activate this and pay 3% of their Total Chakra. The wielder gains a Shield of the ‘Ice’ Element with 3x Health, with ‘x’ being equivalent to the level of this weapon. Each turn in the Setup Phase the wielder may pay 3% of their Total Chakra to increase the Shield’s Health by 1.5x, to a maximum of 6x. The first time that this effect is activated in a battle the wielder gains 12 ‘Ice Petals’. The wielder loses 1 ‘Ice Petal’ in every Response Phase that this effect is active, and on a turn in which a Shield created by this effect’s HP is reduced to 0 the wielder loses 3 ‘Ice Petals’. If the wielder possesses 0 ‘Ice Petals’ when trying to activate this effect it may not be activated.

Cost: 両900

Description: There are great weapons that hail from every one of the great shinobi nations. These powerful instruments of war go down in history, and put their wielders onto pedestals of power that similarly become legend.

Hyōrinmaru came into being in a manner that is shrouded in myth, like many of these weapons. The long katana with the ice blue wrapping on the hilt is said to have never been touched by the fires of a forge, and never felt hammer or anvil. They say that Hyōrinmaru came into being in Sunagakure, after a man from the village had wandered the desert for many days. With no food and water the man stumbled along until the merciless sun had beaten him to the point of death.

Finally his eyes fell upon a mountain range. Perhaps it was a mirage, but it looked as if there were caps of white on the peaks of those mountains. Snow meant water to the man, and life. He walked, and he walked, expelling every once of energy in his body, but eventually his wrecked body ascended the summit, and there in a ring of snow, stood a massive blue dragon.

The legend goes on to say that the dragon took a fragment of his chakra and used it to invigorate the dying man, and when he was done an icy blade stood in the middle of the snowy circle; a parting gift for the dying man. They say that this man took the always-cold sword, and became a blade master of unparalleled skill.

Hyōrinmaru became a wondrous sight in Sunagakure, where the blade was able to call down snow and ice, a welcome retreat from the heat. The icy blade with star shaped tsuba and sky blue hilt has since then become a permanent fixture of Sunagakure No Sato, being passed down to shinobi with the skill to master its unorthodox fighting style, and commune with the chakra of the dragon.

Toushirou wanted to end the fight as quickly as he could. If the ninja put down the toad boss in one blow, he would hate to see what the man could do to someone such as himself. "No time for play. Sōten; Hyōryūgiri" Ice began to flow to the tip of his blade moments before he thrusted forward, intending to pierce the leaf ninja and freeze him from the inside out.

[ Tsubasa gained two (2) Vanishing Charges from successful techniques ]

[ Rolled a 98 for 'Prone' chance from climate 'Snow'; Success! ]

[ Rolled a 3 for Aura Perception; Premonition; Fail! ]

[ 250% (Total) - 210% (Eva) - 4% (Bunshin no Jutsu) - 12% (Vanishing Style) - 5% (Snow) = 19% Chance to Hit ]

[ Rolled a 79 to dodge Sōten; Hyōryūgiri; Miss! ]

Tsubasa's eyes caught the movement as the man rolled away. The hit had been a glancing blow, but it had still done its work. The summon had fallen in his first assault and now they were back on even footing. He had not expected the hit to end the fight, but he was surprised by how little it had done. Hitsugaya drew his sword, and Tsubasa followed it, knowing that the blade could be dangerous as soon as it was unsheathed and the air around them grew cold. Ice ninjutsu, he would have to be care of that as the proceeded.

Tsubasa would sense the chakra before the attack came, and it helped him jump away as the blade flickered and filled the space he had been a moment before. If Tsubasa had not landed that blow earlier that could have been a problem, this man was also fast and his aim appeared above that of most. If even one blow landed the Konoha ninja would be in serious trouble.

Aura Perception; Premonition [Rank 2]
- When targeted with an offensive Chakra-based attack, the user of this may roll 1d20. If they roll x or below, they may dodge the attack. This is done before a dodge roll. The value of x is equal to the rank in this skill obtained. Only attainable through the 'Path of the Sensor' option.

Shyōryu | Vanishing Style | 消遁
- Allows for the user of 'Vanishing Style' techniques. All 'Vanishing Style' techniques must be Genjutsu & Taijutsu hybrid and use Concentration instead of Accuracy or Evasion to hit. If an opponent was struck with a 'Vanishing Style' technique on the previous turn, the user gains +6x% chance to dodge for all physical attacks and +3x% chance to dodge all non-physical attacks from that opponent this turn, where x is the number of Vanishing Charges they currently have. If the user is hit by an attack during a turn when they have this bonus, they lose two (2) Vanishing Charges. When the user successfully hits an opponent with a 'Vanishing Style' technique, all characters within eyesight of the battle are under the same visual effects as the afflicted target. This final ability is for role play purposes only and cannot inflict any type of combat effects on those not hit with the original technique.

With his eye uncovered Tsubasa could feel the power draining away from him. He could not keep this ability going forever like some of his allies in the village, but he had trained to make efficient use of the time that he did gain. The world was a vivid landscape of what the Tsubasa had ended up calling 'fatality lines'. Each one on every surface of everything shifted and warped with time, sometimes second to second. Striking along these faults or taking a knife to them proved to cause significant damage, destroying the object touched. In his time under the NCIA they had studied him, and no correlation between his ability and known weaknesses could be uncovered. There was no science yet to explain why striking these 'fatality lines' caused the damage that they did. In the end though, Tsubasa had decided that the how did not matter, but rather what he would do with this ability. In his youth he had thought of breaking away, solving the world's problems outside of the constrains of a village. The kage of the time had all been weak, unable to act and right the wrongs he saw. That had changed when Uchiha Nevan had become Hokage. He was drastically different than the other leaders. Decisive, strict, unyielding. Tsubasa had found a new purpose under his leadership and what could have been changed.

Haro Kaisen | Halo Circuits: Rank 0
- Character loses 1% Chakra every turn. If the eye is uncovered, they instead lose 5% Chakra every turn. If the eye is uncovered for five (5) turns the character is inflicted with the status effect 'Headache' until the start of the second turn after the eye is covered. Character's Chakra cannot be reduced below 15% because of this effect. If the user's Chakra is at or below 15% and they do not use their next immediate Set-up Phase to cover the eye, or if they uncover the eye while at or below 15% Chakra, then the effects of 'Headache' are doubled, and the user is inflicted with 'Headache' until the start of third turn after the eye is covered. The eye shows no sign of the 'halo' at this point.

Haro Kaisen II | Halo Circuits: Rank 2
- If the target of an attack made by this character rolls within the lower half of the critical range, rounded up, they are instead dealt a Fatal Critical. Fatal Critical damage is 1.75x instead of 1.5x, but for all other purposes is considered a Critical strike. Eye must be uncovered for this effect to be used. Maximum of +20% can be received from Rank 1. 'Halo' darkens to a deep visible color.
Haro Kaisen III | Halo Circuits: Rank 3
- For every 30 points in Concentration this character has they gain +1% to their critical strike chance on physical attacks. Maximum of +30% can be received from this effect. Critical strikes cannot be prevented by passive effects while this is activated. Eye must be uncovered for these effects to take place. While eye is uncovered this effect overrides the normal bonus Concentration gives to critical strike with Taijutsu. Replaces Rank 1. 'Halo' begins to lighten, emitting a faint white light.

Haro Kaisen IV | Halo Circuits: Rank 4
- Once per battle this character may have all attacks they perform this turn deal Fatal Critical damage. Once per battle, if no targets take damage from at least one of these attacks this skills is considered unused. Cannot be taken with 'Strategist' or any other skill that gives similar bonuses. May not stack with any other ability that multiplies damage. Eye must be uncovered for these effects to take place. There is no longer any cap to the bonus from Rank 3 outside of the Activated Effect maximum for Critical Strike abilities. 'Halo' pulses with a white light that dances around the iris.

H7ELv1g.png [Main Phase 1]

Idle thoughts aside, Tsubasa had a task at hand. With Gamabunta out of the way he could focus on the one in front of him. His bunshin flanked his sides, running forward as distractions as the real one slid away from the deadly sword attack, gaining distance and perspective on his enemy. Hitsugaya Toushirou. He was one of the top names in Sunagakure, one Tsubasa had studied with the fallout between the village as they were both isolationists. He didn't know details, but the man had been known for his ice manipulation and swordsmanship. A hit and run style was likely the best to use against a foe like this, coming in to strike before creating distance again.

Tsubasa attacked once again, sending out a wave of chakra at Hitsugaya to attempt to momentarily pause his mind and body. Rushing forward he would watch for the tell tale signs that his genjutsu had taken hold before either dashing away because it would not take long enough to attack or moving in to attack.

From Hitsugaya's point of view, Tsubasa simply disappeared once again. This time if he was successful he would appear direction in front of Toushirou, his fist already making contact with the man's blade and shattering it on impact. He would then spin, planting an attack right in Toushirou's chest to send him flying. If the attack did not find its mark Tsubasa would still disappear, appearing on the far side of Toushirou and dashing away. The way that Tsubasa simply disappeared and reappeared anywhere he wanted was likely unsettling to the other man.

Without giving him a chance to recover from his last assault, Tsubasa would turn, sending another wave of genjutsu chakra at his opponent and hoping to catch him off guard. If he was able to, this time he would break in close once again, striking the man's arm up and delivering a flurry of blows along his inner rib cage that would, if successful, halt the man from being able to preform any Ninjutsu for quite some time.

(Uh....ass handed to meh.)

Hitsugaya couldn't really follow what had happened after the ninja had avoided his last attack, just the result, finding himself on the ground with Hyourinmaru in pieces. "I can't believe there are still so many people out there like this, hidden in the shado—argh." Toushirou could tell he was bleeding internally as his breathing became heavier.  He wanted to reach out for his blade that had gotten him through so many tough situations before, but the pain associated with lifting his arm was far too much. He lost had been soundly defeated. "At least the child got away." he told himself with a weary grin as he resigned to whatever fate had in store for him. Dead or alive, Sunagakure wouldn't take too kindly to this.
