Dragon War

Nanukazuki-kumi | Round 2

In the fantastical world of Vorgath, ancient Daimyo rule a world filled with dragons, wyvern, and other dangerous mystical beasts. Conflicts have run high, and two rival clans have come to combat once more in a conflict that has reached back thousands of years. On the walls of a castle the pride of the Uchiha clan, a man named Shinji, arrives with a crash that breaks the southern gates and lets in a flood of his clansmen to raid the opposing stronghold. The doors on the far side of the court smash open, and a flood of opposition arrives with the First First of the Doragon Clan, a woman named Tenma, who instantly locks eyes with Shinji. The two young warriors, pride of their respective clans, clash into fantastical combat as dragons belonging to each army clash in the skies above.

The breach of the first walls of the inner sanctum had gone off without much difficulty, Shinji's raikiri had ripped a massive hole where it had been used. His other uchiha clansmen flooded through the opening, but it wasnt the opposition coming towards him that he was focused on, it was the one that was heading them up, who he knew from her reputation, Doragon Tenma, the pawns that surrounded her were meaningless to Shinji, she was his target, she would be who he concentrated his fire on. Their eyes locked as her gaze met his own, wasting no time he readied the chakra needed to get his sharingan activated, it was time to go to work. Shinji and Tenma finally reached one another, surrounded by the corpses and carnage of the other combatants, but as far as they were concerned they were alone on the battlefield, no one on either side dared interfere between the two of them out of fear of retaliation.

"Doragon Tenma, Commander of the Doragon clans armies, you and I have some unfinished business we need to take care of."

The skies thundered with the roaring of dragons, the great winged scaly beasts clashing together in a fury of teeth, claws and fire. This was not the first time, nor would it probably be the last, for once again the Uchiha and the Doragon had come to blows. For thousands of years the two clans had fought, but today...today the Doragon clan hoped to get the upper hand. A large wave of water burst through the Northern gates, the little dragon entering with a purpose in her step, her blue eyes staring ahead for her next target. Forget the smallfry, she had one prey in mind; Uchiha Shinji!

All around her, the Doragon clansmen flooded in around the young dragon who stood her ground like a stone pushing aside the flowing water. The thin reptilian pupils residing within her blue orbs focused in on her Uchiha prey. With an impish smirk, she tilted her head mischievously as she cracked her knuckles. “Ha! Lucky for you, Uchiha Shinji, I plan on finishing this today!”

With a grin, Shinji had already begun the process in his subconscious process of moving enough of his chakra to the iris' of his eyes to activate the Mitsudomoe sharingan, his eyes coming to life with that signature scarlet hue and three spinning tomoe indicating the level he had advanced his sharingan to, which he had achieved the highest level of its ability short of the mangekyo. Hopefully that would be enough for him to take down Doragon Tenma before she had a chance to possibly overtake him with some surprise attack of some kind that his eyes couldn't predict ahead of time, he didn't know much of her reputation so he would need to see her in action a bit before he committed to a particular strategy; he had come up with six different scenarios and ways of dealing with each already, granted they were broadly themed scenarios since he had no information on her fighting style. He would need to systematically go through his various types of attacks until he found the one that was the most effective at bringing her down quickly and while sustaining the least amount of damage possible.

He was still smirking as in the real world and not his subconscious mind it had only been maybe ten seconds since he had activated his sharingan, he wasn't slowing down time to accomplish this; basically his mind was like a processor with hyper threading that was capable of multiple trains of thought at once combined with his eidetic memory made breaking down an enemy fighting style far easier than it was for the average shinobi.

"Ha, its like you took the words right out of my mouth Tenma."

Lightning cracked right after he responded, the thundering clouds still booming in the sky as the heavens opened up and rain began to fall across the battlefield of carnage and gore, bodies stacked on top of each other, blood pooling in the lowest regions of the terrain; it was almost like something that the bloody mist would be known for despite neither of them being mist ninja.

Wasting no time and already having his chakra at the ready on the soles of his feet, he activated the second part to his first maneuver of the battle, especially since Tenma had hardly reacted to his blazing speed technique,  he had enough time to seal off the haze clone technique and give him an even bigger edge.

[Activating Mitsudome Sharingan]

Spoiler
aOL11z0.png

Mitsudomoe Sharingan
For many years it was thought that this rank of the Sharingan was the pinnacle of what could be achieved. Despite this being proven untrue, the Mitsudomoe Sharingan is still considered a fully mature specimen of the kekkei genkai. As such, it has fully developed strength and range of its abilities. The chakra drain on the wielder is significant, but many who train themselves diligently are capable of keeping this rank of the Sharingan activated almost continuously.
Requirements: Level 40, Dormant Sharingan; Key to the Mitsudomoe Sharingan [success], Replaces FutatsudomoeSharingan

Sharingan Insight – Rank Three
Effect: While the Sharingan is active, a character with this skill's Accuracy, Evasion, and Concentration statistics are increased by 3x, with ‘x’ being equivalent to the character’s level. The value of ‘x’ may never be less than 40. All statistical bonuses provided by this skill may not exceed 1.5x the base value of the individual statistics. Bonuses to Accuracy and Evasion are nullified when the character targets an opponent whose Speed statistic is 2.5x greater than the character’s.
Description: The first ability that is attributed to the Sharingan is the heightened state of awareness that the wielder enters when activating the dōjutsu. The eyes are able to predict the movements of enemies, or photographically catalog the details of the environment with great superiority. The enhanced accuracy and evasion that is the root of many of the Sharingan's abilities becomes stronger as each new tomoe develops. In its early stages, the Sharingan's influence increases the wielder's sensory awareness greatly, but opponents with great speed are capable of besting the dōjutsu. At more mature stages, the Sharingan is capable of predicting the movements of even the fastest foe.
Cost: -1

Sharingan Hypnotism – Rank Three
Effect: While the Sharingan is active, a character with this skill’s non-Forbidden Genjutsu techniques with the ‘Dōjutsu; Sharingan’ descriptor gain the following effect;

“The target of this technique must roll a 5-sided dice. On an outcome of 1 the target may take no other actions in response to this technique. If the target of this technique is afflicted with the status effects ‘Impaired Eyesight’ or ‘Blind’ they may increase the outcome of this roll by +2 or +5 (respectively).”

Additionally, characters with this skill may purchase the technique ‘Genjutsu: Sharingan’ and while the Sharingan is active, ‘Genjutsu: Sharingan’ is considered seal-less.
Description: Though the many other facets of the Sharingan are greatly desired across the world, none can argue that perhaps the most potent aspect of the Sharingan is its ability to entrap a target within a Genjutsu at just a glance. Early stages of this ability manifest in incomplete ways, no more or less potent than comparable genjutsu- but later evolutions tap into the eye's ability to completely enrapture a target within the Sharingan wielder's mental whims.
Cost: -1

Sharingan Copy – Rank Three
Effect: If the Sharingan is active during the Response Phase, a character with this skill may pay .6x Chakra, where 'x' is the cost of any technique used after this character's previous turn. The character must roll a 10-sided dice, and on an outcome of 1 - 7, the technique may be added to the character’s list of known techniques. Techniques added in this way have no Jutsu Point cost. Techniques of a certain Element, Archetype, or Style may be used without the necessary skill, but the Sharingan must be active to utilize techniques which require skills that the character does not possess. Techniques with bloodline or clan skill requirements that the character does not possess, or techniques that the character could not purchase for their standard Jutsu Point cost may not be copied. This skill may be activated 3 times per battle, or 1 time per role-play topic. Activating this skill is a free action.
Description: The power to record and store the details of any technique witnessed is a feat that has long made the Sharingan one of the most coveted kekkei genkai in existence. By simply having their bloodline active, wielders of the Sharingan are able to see the most minute details in the muscles of their foes, identify handseals in mid-combat, and even see the exact patterns of the enemy's chakra. These abilities make Sharingan-wielders impressive copy cats. In it's formative stages, the act of copying a technique is more strenuous on the body, and can produce hit or miss replications, but as the bloodline matures and the wielder becomes more practiced, the ability becomes almost fool-proof.
Cost: -2

Sharingan Reflection – Rank Three
Effect: When a character with this skill successfully utilizes Sharingan Copy against a technique, the unresolved technique has a 30% chance of being negated. This is a triggered effect and may only activate 2 times per battle. The character consumes their Main Phase on a turn in which this skill activates. The activation of this skill is a free action.
Description: So fast are the reaction times of those who wield the Sharingan, that the brain is capable of quickly responding to incoming threats, and exactly duplicating the attacks of their enemies. In doing so, the wielder is able to match the exact force of the threat and nullify it. The fully matured Sharingan is a much more reliable tool when attempting to negate an incoming threat, and can competently match the force of enemy attacks.

Haste: You get +15% to Speed. [105 DP]

Description: This technique is a personal favorite of Uchiha Shinji’s, it placed his opponent under an illusion as if Shinji were able to walk with fire, at the speed that fire was able to travel, it was as if his blazing red chakra was burning hotter than a glowing steel sword on an anvil, it would be as if Shinji was being abnormally fast compared to his usual agility and overall speed, Shinji was very fond of the way it made him look heroic, always a sucker for the dramatic.

Haze Clones may not attack, or utilize any skills or abilities. Non-Genjutsu attacks targeting Haze Clones have their damage reduced to 0.
Description: The Oboro Bunshin is an uncommon jutsu on the battlefield. Because the clones created by the user are intangible, they serve as a means to distract the user’s opponent. They move about, performing motions similar to their creator, but Haze Clones harmlessly pass through any solid matter.      A predatory sheen shimmered across the little dragon girl’s blue eyes, her impish smirk turning into a grin. To be pitted against the Uchiha’s sharingan, oh what a battle it would be! Adrenaline pumped through her veins, the excitement of fighting Shinji hardly containable. It would be a tough battle, but she would be all the stronger for it should she succeed. This was not just for her own gains though. Taking out the Uchiha clan’s pride in their top warrior would backhand their army’s morale, giving the Doragon clan the upper hand.

Doragon Tenma stood unfazed as the rain fell upon her from the sky, the strike of lightning triggering the beginning of their fight. “Then I hope you’re ready.” Her hands deftly came together to form hand seals in quick succession, the result being eight clouds of smoke revealing the forms of several duplicates of the little dragon girl, each with the same devilish grin with the original mixed among them. It would do her no good if he held so much of a lead over her from the very start. Perhaps she could distract his eyes for but a moment to aid her position. All nine Tenma’s took one a much different posture, graceful and poised against a dreadful battlefield, the ground matted with blood from both sides. It was almost beautiful if it didn’t look like a scene straight from a nightmare. But such was the fate of two warring clans.

As if all were synced up by design, the many little dragon girl’s fluidly put their hands through the motions of more hand seals. The moisture in the air surrounding the Uchiha warrior began to take on a faint semi opaque quality, a heavy mist. It rolled its way through the air, smothering the area around Shinji in a blanket of mist, aiming to hinder his eyesight further.

Clone Technique III | Bunshin No Jutsu III | 分身の術 |||

Type: Ninjutsu

Rank: Chuunin

Cost: 5x Chakra

Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is considered to be the number of 'Clones' created by the user and may never be greater than 8. 'Clones' have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. 'Clones' are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every 'Clone' on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle.

Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshin jutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.

Points: ⁿ/ₐ (Evolving 2; Clone Technique II)

Spoiler

Crane Style

Crane style is simply described by it's name. It is a style which may very well have been created by watching the movements of the various cranes and mariner birds within Mizu no Kuni. The style itself is fluid, slow, and prone to piercing strikes and a tide of gambling strikes contrasted by a tide of dancing like dodges. It is said that a master of the style can be described as 'eerily resembling a crane'.

A player with the Crane Style will start every battle with two Balance Charges. The amount of Balance Charges will determine the effectiveness of your Crane Style techniques in battle. Unlike most other styles though, every time an enemy makes a successful hit on your character you will lose a Balance Charge. You may only lose one Balance Charge per enemy who attacks you per turn. A player may at any time sacrifice their Main Phase to restore their Balance Charges to an amount of two.

0 Charges: When using a Crane Style technique your Accuracy is considered to be 0.8x its base value.

1 Charge: When using a Crane Style technique your Accuracy is considered to be 0.9x its base value.

2 Charges: Your Crane Style techniques receive no negatives or bonuses.

3 Charges: When using a Crane Style technique your Accuracy is considered to be 1.1x its base value.

4 Charges: When using a Crane Style technique your Accuracy is considered to be 1.2x its base value.

5 Charges: When using a Crane Style technique your Accuracy is considered to be 1.3x its base value.

In addition a player with this style does not gain a Balance Charge normally. Instead, you may ‘bet’ additional Balance Charges on any Crane Style technique. If the technique makes contact then you will gain the additional Balance Charges. However, if the technique misses you will lose the ‘bet’ amount of Charges. You may only bet with Charges that you have. If you have 0 Balance Charges you may bet 1 with no penalty for a miss. The user may perform a technique that requires the use of Balance Charges.

"This must be your first time fighting someone with the sharingan Doragon Tenma, simple bunshins aren't very effective against us Uchiha, the real you is standing directly in front of me, I can see your chakra flowing throughout your body. But the question is, can you react quick enough?"

Wasting no time Shinji layered the soles of his feet with his chakra to give him the extra speed he would need to pull off the next two moves in quick succession to allow for no time to react, he needed to paralyze her first, and then once she was unable to move, he could thrust his arm through her chest with the lightning cutter technique.

Kanashibari No Jutsu

Temporary Paralysis Technique

He targeted her vital points with his paralysis move, as soon as he finished it he began to weave the four seals necessary for the lightning cutter technique, until the sound of a thousand birds chirping away would fill the surrounding area as a ball of lightning formed on his fist. Charging Tenma with his lightning infused right hand he took careful aim and hoped his attack would reign true.

Kanashibari No Jutsu | Temporary Paralysis Technique | 金縛りの術
Type: Ninjutsu [Void] [Copy Link (x)]
Rank: Jōnin
Cost: 100 Chakra
Effect: The target of this technique may not roll to dodge this technique; instead the target must roll a 6-sided dice. If the outcome of that roll is odd, the target of this technique is afflicted with 1 turn of the status effects ‘Vulnerable’ and ‘Stunned’. If the outcome of that roll is even, nothing happens. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle. If a target of this technique is 2 ranks or higher than the user then this technique does not affect them.
Description: The Kanashibari no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique that physically restrains an opponent as they had been bound by invisible wire with the strength of steel. With a target incapacitated for a period, this technique allows them to either attack again or otherwise incapacitate the target without killing them. For this reasing the Temporary Paralysis Technique is highly valued among members of ANBU and other black-ops units, who often use it to take enemies into custody or interrogate them.

Spoiler
Raikiri | 雷切 | Lightning Cutter
Type: Ninjutsu [ Lightning ]
Rank: Jōnin
Cost: 200
Damage: 350
Effect: The target of this technique applies only 70% of their total Defense statistic when modifying the damage of this technique; additionally, the target may apply only a single item's effects when modifying or responding to this technique. Increase Raikiri’s total damage by 3 for every 40 points of Speed that its user possesses. Response Phase Techniques used against Raikiri have an additional 50% chance to fail, even if they did not already possess a fail chance. If an eye-based advanced system is not active at the time of Raikiri's use, reduce this technique's base chance to hit to 15% and treat the user as if their Evasion statistic was halved against the next attack that targets them before their following turn.
Description: Though the Chidori is already a potent technique requiring immaculate chakra control, exceptional users have occasionally discovered a method of pushing the Chidori beyond its limits. By increasing both the amount of chakra present in the technique and the fine control of the chakra’s distribution, the Chidori evolves into the Raikiri. In its evolution, the Chidori loses its signature chirping and shifts from a white coloration to a more natural blue hue; additionally, the Raikiri’s form becomes less erratic and branching, instead being focused clearly around the user’s hand as a still shapeless but defined shroud of potent Lightning Nature Chakra. Raikiri possesses much of the same effects and limitations as its parent, the Chidori, but simply performs on an elevated level.
Requirements: Lightning Specialty, Chidori Training: Poise, (If this technique is acquired in anyway without the skill 'Chidori Training: Poise' it may be used 1 time per battle, and shares uses with all other techniques that require Chidori Training skills.)
JP: 5 [10] 9 Lightning Specialty

Cost: 200  Chakra - 40 Nin Amp Rank 3 - 70 (Inner Calm Rank 7) - 24 (Conc Nin Cost Reduction) = 100  Chakra 50% Min Cost

Damage: 350 (Base) + 150 (Ninjutsu Mod) + 95 (Speed Mod) + 40 (Nin Amp Rank 3) + 75 (Nin Mastery Lightning) = 710 Lightning Damage

Crit Chance: 13% (10% Path of Assassin, 2% Sinister Calling).

Chance to hit: Base 60% + 106% (Acc Mod) + 8% Subtle Elements Lightning + 10% Lightning Specialty - 20% (Mist Terrain) = 164% Chance to hit [Because I have the sharingan active, your bunshin have no effect [See their effect for the line mentioning ocular bloodlines]). [Also my CExams ring makes max chance to hit cap off at 92 instead of 90].

- | Chidori Training: Control | -

Effect: Characters with this skill may purchase the skill 'Chidori Training: Momentum'
Description: The first step of mastering Chidori is control. Though the Chidori lacks any form of shape manipulation, the amount of wild voltage directed to the user's hand must be tempered and consistent. Even a master of lightning must balance their chakra usage accordingly- too much chakra and the lightning will completely char the wielder's hand to a crisp. Too little, and the user will only end up giving the opponent a static shock upon impact. Once this step has been mastered, the wielder will be able to use the Chidori while stationary, granting them the power to cut solid objects with a strike of their hand.
Requirements: 10-Post Jōnin training
Cost: -0

- | Chidori Training: Momentum | -
Effect: Characters with this skill may purchase the skill 'Chidori Training: Poise'
Description: The second step of mastering Chidori is speed. Chidori's true power comes from momentum, requiring the user to build up a good deal of speed to utilize it to it's maximum potential. With the chakra control mastered from the first step, the wielder will notice that the Chidori begins to surge as they start running with it, creating a feedback loop in their arm that will amplify the technique's strength and size, as well as causing the wielder's nervous system to fire faster, allowing the user to achieve speeds in a short amount of time that they normally wouldn't be capable of. The wielder must be wary, however, since this boost of speed should only be used to traverse short distances, otherwise the lightning in their arm might overload the feedback loop, resulting in a painful explosion and the loss of one's arm. Once mastered, the user will be able to use the Chidori while running at full speed, allowing them to pierce straight through most armor and barriers without any effort or losing any momentum.
Requirements: Chidori Training: Control, 10-Post Jōnin Training
Cost: -0

- | Chidori Training: Poise | -
Effect: Characters with this skill may purchase skills and techniques that require the skill 'Chidori Training: Poise'. Techniques that requirethe skill 'Chidori Training: Poise' may be used a number of times per battle relative to the rank of the technique used (i,e: Genin: 2, Chūnin: 2, Jōnin: 1, Sennin: 1). All techniques that require the skill 'Chidori Training: Poise' of the same rank share usage limits.
Description: Though the Chidori is mostly usable after one masters its control and momentum steps, the technique possesses considerable drawbacks that prevent it from being truly useful within a battle. In the Poise step of a Chidori user's training, they learn how to properly balance their steps at the moment that the technique is delivered, allowing them to escape or respond to a counterattack. Though the training found in this step is most useful when the Chidori is completed with advanced vision techniques, typically the Sharingan, possessing proper reaction abilities is the key to making this technique even moderately practical with or without advanced vision.
Requirements: Chidori Training: Momentum, 20-Post Jōnin Training
Cost: -2

- | Sinister Calling | -
Description: Your experiences in the field of anatomy and combat have allowed you to know where the vital parts of the human body are and take better advantages of that knowledge.
Effect: Passive critical hit chance is increased by 3% per rank.
Requirements: Path of the Assassin; Art of the Blade
Ranks: 1 / 5
Cost: -0 SP

Dammit! Blue eyes narrowed at the Uchiha, noticeably ticked as whatever grin she had turned into a snarl. The little dragon had made a stupid mistake, but Tenma wasn't going to let it cost her her life! She would just have to think of something else to make up for her blunder...but she had been too late. Before she even knew what hit her, Uchiha Shinji was a upon her and there was this striking sensation deep within her chest. The wide eyed gaze of the Doragon warrior dropped to see a discharge of lightning chakra and an...arm? That wasn't right. That most certainly didn't belong there! The light began to fade from her eyes as she gave a weak, halfhearted grin to the Uchiha, despite him being her enemy. "Ha...Looks l-like I wasn't quick...enough...eh?" With that, the little dragon's fire was snuffed out for good.

Shinji withdrew his blood soaked arm from the Dragon ninjas chest cavity, this was the part that he was less than stellar to have to deal with emotionally, sure being a shinobi one had to be prepared to take anothers life, but no matter how prepared you are for it it still bothers you on some level unless you are completely psychotic. But she had come after him, and when it came to his own self preservation he did what he needed to to ensure his own survival, thats what he was down to his core, a survivor.

"a good death, is its own reward Doragon Tenma."

[Shinji wins!]
