Kurai vs. Kasai

Recommended Posts

Kurai glanced around the arena, taking in his surroundings. It was mostly open, surrounded by towering stone walls; a simple, but efficient arena. He made sure he had everything he needed for the match, and once he was ready, stepped into the courtyard. He squinted as the sun beat down upon his brow, and looked around for his opponent.

Sitting in a tree slightly to the right of and behind Kurai, Kasai drops down and challenges his friend to a spar, "Oi, Kurai. How about a quick fight?"

Wind element - Wind God (Kaze Kami) Type: Ninjutsu [General; Wind]

Rank: Gennin
Cost: 30 Chakra
Damage: 30
Effect: N/A
Description: This is a straightforward attack for the most part, sending incredibly strong buffets of wind at the opponent and knocking them flying a good ways. It's beauty is against members of the opposite element, earth, where the wind, guided by some malignant force senses the chakra in them and buffets them for additional damage as they fly.

ooc: Don't mind my intrusion, and by all means keep going, but couple of things to learn from this thusfar...

1.) Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Substitute Technique) cannot be used to dodge Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Genjutsu. What that leaves is Weapon Attacks and Basic Attacks. (All attacks can fall under one of those five categories)

2.) When you throw a small weapon (such as kunai) it costs 1 stamina to throw each of them. This is covered under Equipment Rules 6.02; Weapon /Attribute Rules

3.) Make sure your dodge rolls have good, brief, descriptions of why you are rolling in the "Reason" field. A good example is...

Alchem Syaoran, dodging a kunai from Hyuuga Yatako.

4.) Make sure you are using the correct link for your dodge rolls. Here is what an correct link looks like, make sure you click the "index" link and use that URL when linking.

http://www.ninja-academy-online.com/dierollphp/getRolls2.php?number=12939

5.) It is good form to get use to showing all your math for attacks and dodges. For instance the form that I always use is...

[ 60% (Base) + 2% (Acc Mod) - 2% (Eva Mod) = 60% Chance to Hit ]

[ 30 (Base) + 25 (Nin Mod) - 5 (Def Mod) = 50 Damage Total ]

Normally the attacker is response for the Chance to Hit math and the Total Damage math. If there are any modifications that the defender needs to make they should redo the math. For instance if I was attacked with my previous example but I used a technique that increased my chance to dodge by 20% and I had the skill Resistance Mastery (available on the skills page) I would post the math a second time with the revised portions...

[ 60% (Base) + 2% (Acc Mod) - 2% (Eva Mod) - 20% (Technique) = 40% Chance to Hit ]
[ 30 (Base) + 25 (Nin Mod) - 5 (Def Mod) - 10 (Resistance Mastery) = 40 Damage Total ]
