Appearance



 

 

 

Height: 5'10"
Weight: 182 lbs
Hair Color: Black and usually has his hair cut to chin length, but in times which he is not expected to leave his general area he allows it to grow shoulder length. While under the effects of his kekkei genkai without medication, his hair becomes tinged with red. 
Eye Color: Hazel. while under the effects of his kekkei genkai without his medication, they glow slightly.

Clothing: Chun usually wears black cargo pants with combat boots, but his tops range from tees to netted tops or bare chested and a jacket, or an unbuttoned open shirt. While he is in work clothes, it is basically his Chuunin vest and either a tee or netted top. 

Physical Description: He is tall with a slight measure of muscle tone. Chun usually smokes a cigarette developed by the village which neutralizes his caustic aura from his bloodline and makes him smell like walnuts. Once he stops smoking, usually during battle, eddies are formed around him as he naturally exhales a reddish smoke.

Persona: Chun is a relaxed, laid back type of person which only gets serious when the need requires it… which is nearly never. It is a response from witnessing the horrors of war and is indifferent to the normal ideas which were drilled into young ninjas from the academy. His medicine in the form of the cigarettes which he smokes keeps him mellow.

Personality:

> Chun always bases his decisions off the Utilitarianism; the needs of the many outweighs the needs of a few. A few dead here or there that benefits the whole does not bother him or even garner any sympathy. His abilities usually makes him feel detached from those around him since a slip in his regiment may cause harm to those around him. He hides his kind heart behind his cool and relaxed outward personality.

History




The world of Togawa Chun has always been one of turmoil. His abilities activated at the trauma of birth. With most creatures born that are able to use poisons and venom, the potency is unrivaled. His first gasp and cry, he released a poisonous neurotoxin through his pores and breath, which dispatched everyone in the room. His father, Togawa Benju watched in horror from the observation window as he understood what happened, since it occurred at his birth as well. It was both a gift and a curse for those of his line; a strong formidable power, but one which usually left them lonely. Togawa Reiza was a wonderful wife to Benju, but her decision to bare his child had been a death sentence. Once he neutralized the type of poison in the room with his own, he held his son for the first time; his hair was as black as his mother, while his eyes were blue like his own.

Life became easier as he grew; his father was part of the Jounin guard of Manji Village, on the border of Earth and Snow. Their modest home was apart from the village itself and secluded enough to ensure that if he lost control of his ability, no one would be harmed. In the beginning, Chun wore a happuri which covered the lower half of his face which held a ventilator which filtered his breath. Having his body fully closed and filled with charcoal within his coat also filtered the fumes which he at times let off. Chun went to class with the rest of the kids his age, though he kept his distance out of fear of hurting others. He kept his emotions under control and rarely came into physical contact.

Although there was conflict between the two nations, it was never dire enough to evacuate. Yukigakure and Iwakagure were always in contention over its border, but with troops stationed among the borders, it was quite peaceful. Chun even met some kids from the other side of the border, though the moments were far and in between. That was until his seventh year when they were invaded by Kumo. The shadow of the Kumo Empire fell across the land like a shroud, taking control while dispatching plenty of ninjas which resisted, Benju and the Jounin stationed fought a war of attrition, but it was futile. Their forces were crushed to the man, with Benju escaping the last battle in order to race to his home and save his son… which the end was inevitable. Chun watched his father’s prowess as a ninja shown as he watched the battle by the door of their home. He trapped many enemies in fields of decay; their clothes and flesh fell from their skeletons. The third wave of ninjas was able to penetrate his jutsu and killed him, Benju’s lifeless corpse a few feet from the door. The enemy seen Chun rush towards and fell crying on his father’s dead body and knocked him unconscious, deeming him an interesting prospect.

The next couple of years Chun spent training in the NCIA sponsored academy in Fang. He fought against the idea and the program at first, but soon realized that no one was coming for him, since he no longer had parents. He would not wear concealing clothes or his happuri, often allowing his corrosive fumes injure those around him. His actions would land him in a solitary room, often until he broke down from the loneliness. Slowly he started to accept his lot in life and assimilated, Chun found that the instructors were not as horrific that he believed them to be, and the philosophy of one government rule appealed to him. The idea of utilitarianism, the means are justified for the greatness of the masses rather than the few made sense to him. To Chun, his father and him would not be near the border for the squabbles if they were all in the same nation, then Kumo would never had to come and invade and kill him. It also was the first time which he came to know kids from other villages in his plight; there were children which grew in size from Konoha, those with 6 arms from Oto, or looked had shark features. Chun learned to control his abilities, although his attitude towards formalities were lax. When placed on the team, he worked well with them until they were within sight of the goal and he became more concentrated on the goal rather than the welfare of his team. He was lectured and punished many times for making the air corrosive around him which hurt his teammates. Just as he was entering the last year of training, the revolution came and the rule of Kumo was no longer.

When all the youth were returned to their prospective homes, Chun did not want to return to Iwakagure since there was no one there for him any longer. Returning to his home in the snow had no more of a pull to him than living the rest of his life in the ruins of his old academy. Although he resisted, pleading to go with his spider ninja friend to Kumo, his requests were declined and was sent to Iwakagure. Placed into another academy with many faces which he didn’t recognize and a culture nearly alien to him, Chun started to close himself off from those around him. But soon he realized the technology of Iwakagure allowed him much more freedom. They developed a certain type of cigarette which ingredients dampened his ability to breathe and vent the fumes from his pores. It allowed him to be placed on a team, to touch his fellow academy students, to simply appear normal amongst his friends.

After graduating from the academy, Chun accepted an assignment near his former home along the border of Earth and Snow stationed by an IAF base. There he learned to hone his skills in the isolation of the frosted hills and mountains. There he lived in peace, until the start of the hostilities of the Iwa / Yuki war. He fought alongside his squad until the final push; with politics ending the war.

>Siegecraft - Rank 2: This character's Rust element techniques now deal an additional X unmodified damage to non-player constructs; X is equal to 10 times their rank in this skill. When this character uses a Rust element technique targeting a combatant wearing equipment, they may also target a single piece of revealed equipment; if the used technique successfully strikes the target combatant, reduce the total stat augmentation on the target equipment by 15% of its total for the remainder of combat. Soil Clone Technique | Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu

Effect: Each Soil Clone has 105 Health and 25% of the user's remaining stats. If destroyed by an opponent, the Soil Clone has a 25% chance to afflict that opponent with 'Slow' for one (1) turn. Maximum of two (2) clones may be created. 
Description: In similar fashion with any other clone technique, Iwa Bunshin No Jutsu can make up to several clones made out of soil from the ground around them. The clones take on the appearance of their creator, but when destroyed explode in a burst of compressed soil. The soil latches onto enemy that destroyed them, hindering their movement.

Kawarimi No Jutsu | Body Replacement Technique | 変わり身の術 III
Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Evolving; Kawarimi No Jutsu II]

Effect: This technique may be performed as a Free Action in the Response Phase following a failed dodge roll. When determining the cost of this technique ‘x’ is equivalent to the cost of 1 basic attack, weapon attack, or Taijutsu that the user failed to dodge. The damage and effects of that basic attack, weapon attack, or Taijutsu are negated. The user may take no action in the Setup Phase or Main Phase on the turn this technique is used. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle.
Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent’s attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies.

Shunshin No Jutsu | Body Flicker Technique | 瞬身の術 II
Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Evolving; Shunshin No Jutsu I]

Effect: This technique may be performed in the Response Phase or the Setup Phase;
 
  • Response: This technique may be performed in the Response Phase as a Free Action. The user of this technique increases their Evasion statistic by +150 during the turn that this technique is used. (Dodge rolls made during this turn must mention this technique.) This technique has a 5x% chance to fail, with 'x' being equivalent to the number of unresolved attacks targeting the user. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle in the Response Phase.
  • Setup: The user of this technique increases their Accuracy statistic by +150 during the turn that this technique is used. The user of this technique may not perform another technique in the Setup Phase for 2 turns. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle in the Setup Phase.
 
Role Play Effect: The user of this technique may reduce the required post-length when Traveling by 25% when performing this technique outside of battle.
Description: One of the basic techniques taught to most students during their time at the academy. The Body Flicker Technique is considered an extremely versatile ability, and is one of the most widely used general shinobi skills. The jutsu itself is a high-speed movement ability that uses chakra to temporarily vitalize the body, allowing movement that is nearly untraceable to the naked eye. The user often disappears from the field of their opponent’s vision in a puff of smoke, as a means to further distract their path of escape. Though Shunshin has many applications, its most common use is in evading hazardous attacks.

Oboro Bunshin No Jutsu | Haze Clone Technique | 朧分身の術

Type: Genjutsu

Rank: Chūnin

Cost: 30x Chakra

Effect: When determining Chakra costs and effects of this technique 'x' is equal to the number of clones created by this technique. The user gains +20x Accuracy and Evasion while Haze Clones are present on the battlefield. Haze Clones do not have a Health statistic, they have 1 Ghost Health (Haze Clones are destroyed if their Ghost Health is reduced to 0), and all other statistics are considered to be 0. Haze Clones may not attack, or utilize any skills or abilities. Non-Genjutsu attacks targeting Haze Clones have their damage reduced to 0.

Description: The Oboro Bunshin is an uncommon jutsu on the battlefield. Because the clones created by the user are intangible, they serve as a means to distract the user’s opponent. They move about, performing motions similar to their creator, but Haze Clones harmlessly pass through any solid matter. Genjutsu of certain varieties prove a strong method for destroy Haze Clones, but those without the ability to perform genjutsu are often forced to play a guessing game as they try and attack the user.

Description: Upon performing the hand seals, the user creates a clone exclusively for the use of Genjutsu. To others, they simply appear as the academy version, but the autonomous projections aids the user in triangulation and focus on the battlefield.

This character must assign and list the number and their corresponding combatants in the die description when rolling to determine which combatant is targeted, e.g [Player A: 1, Player B: 2, etc.]"
Description: The ninja forms the hand seals and attacks the target with an illusion. The illusion itself muddies the senses of the target while making their comrade appear to look, smell, and sound like the caster of the jutsu. The animosity of the enemy being at such a close proximity all of a sudden forces you to take action.

The blast ionize the air along its path, irradiating everything by ripping the electrons from atoms with the excess energy is released as photons of light, altering its color as it erodes the molecular bonds within the target.
