She is fairly tall for her age, and she has lovely silky soft hair. Gin has a rose tattoo below her elbow with a black skinny stem, three leaves, one high up and two lower down, one of those going to the left. There’s a beautiful red/pink shaded rose bulb at the top of the stem. She looks forward to growing into a brave ninja like her parents, but feels the burden of the Senju legacy heavily on her shoulders after the clan’s losses. Like many of the clan, they were forced to flee as the Kumogakure Empire’s power grew, and they took to hiding in Konoha’s forests with the young Gin. Gin was trained by her parents to help them get revenge against the NCIA and Kumo for the crimes they had committed, and this training oftentimes distracted them from the course of the war effort. They were cut off from much of the other Senju, and despite the clan’s united front they were unable to fight alongside their clan. This dishonoured and disheartened Kin and Rokusaburo, who felt like they had let down the clan as a whole. To that end they shifted their focus towards helping Gin grow into a strong and proud Senju woman, who would carry the Senju legacy in their place. For hours on end, Gin trained with her parents in the basics of hand to hand combat and Senju ninjutsu. Over and over again, she was forced to land punches and kicks on some of the largest trees in the forest, toughening up her body and focussing her power. Then, when she had finally grown strong enough to crack the trees with her blows, her mother taught her to mend and repair them with her gifted chakra, fostering within her a love and appreciation for nature that would stay with her for years to come. When Rokusaburo and Kin returned to the village in the wake of the NCIA’s collapse, Kin had grown into a strong headed young girl whose growing confidence in her power left her unwilling to forge the bonds with her peers that her parents tried so hard to impart to her. She preferred the company of trees and animals to her cousins and fellow Konoha natives, and it was reluctantly she agreed to join the Konoha academy, only being convinced to do so when her parents promised her that she would grow stronger there than just with them. Throughout the academy, she proved unusually talented in mokuton ninjutsu, and her chakra reserves far outpaced that of any other student, thus it wasn’t long before she graduated into a fully fledged gennin of Konohagakure. She is still certain she could improve more by herself than with others, but even she can’t doubt the valuable lessons early shinobi life have imparted on her.
