  1. How long she had sought out a Silverback Gorilla in the wild! Saki adjusted her seating upon a singular tree branch happily, prying a pencil free from her sketchbook’s coiling binds. First, she wanted to attempt replicating the majestic creature without the aid of her Sharingan- a testament to her own artistic ability. And so she began, pencil scratching upon that coarse paper to form line after line in artistic homage to the Silverback’s brilliance. She found it odd that the creature was so appealing, given how… well, brutish and unpleasant that apes tended to look, but there was something about the shimmer in its pelt as it moved! Even more than that, the clear flexing of its musculature was intriguing- more so than watching a human faff about with their inefficient movements. Even shinobi were not as interesting to watch, because it was painfully apparent to her that their motions were ‘learned’ rather than instinctual. Humans may have been caught in some odd evolutionary midway, or… something. She wasn’t much of one for the science of it, all she knew was that humans were more interesting to draw than people- at least in the photographic representation sort of image. Yet, there was a nagging feeling at the back of her mind. She was sketching, but… hunted? The redhead didn’t want to give away her potential knowledge of a would-be attacker, but she similarly could not shake the feeling that some unknown danger was creeping upon her. Perhaps a Gorilla that she had missed? 2. I just want the Tenseigan to come back... q.q I am definitely hoping that they try to stay on the more subtle side for most of it. I mean, even in the movie- which takes place well after the first episode- things didn't get outrageous until Naruto and Sasuke got involved. I'm curious to see what it is. Maybe it's some Tenseigan offshoot, since he's not Otsutsuki(which was a requirement for Tenseigan, iirc?) or maybe it's just a juiced up Byakugan, which we've already seen Himawari use. That's the big question that does come to mind, though! Can Boruto use the Byakugan like Himawari?
  3. First episode is out on Crunchyroll- just watched it, and... I'm super happy with it. The animation quality was really good, the art style was still classic Naruto, and... and... WAS THAT A FUCKIN TENSEIGAN?!

  5. Not sure if this might be of interest to you, but perhaps this gif might tickle your fancy more? Might need to be resized... but still! That said, I wanted to ask if a tag was something that... we really wanted to do, I guess? I know there's been a few times in the past where such tags have been called into question, but most tags now-a-days are fairly clear cut- with Hijutsu: <Person or Clan> being common and easy to understand, and Bukijutsu: <Weapon> being just the "Weapon Technique" tag. Though the tag means nothing right now, what would stop me or you(the two people with this that I know of) from later on creating a skill that makes this tag into something after this technique has fallen a bit into obscurity? Or, since Space-time is a canon ninjutsu 'type', anyone might very well try to turn it into an actual tag.
  6. Response Phase: Changed it from -15% minimum to -5%. That should make it so that you have a 10% minimum chance to be hit. Setup Phase: In current form, there is no limitation. It's just... use this and then mad stack setup jutsu, and then be unable to use any for x amount of turns. Of the three abilities, this is the one that I most went "huh, neat" when I thought of... but is also the one I am least attached to. Main Phase: What about cutting it down to only a single additional action? Increasing the initial skill point gate cost? Making it so that any additional actions split damage mods & were responded to like a multi-hit would be? Additional cost in health? Unmodified cost on the additional actions? Locking techniques used w/ these additional actions out for the remainder of battle? A cool-down period? As for the FTG similarity... I'm probably gunna need you to elaborate more specifically on what you mean here. FTG is the first of the skill-locked 'utility' techniques and kind of sets the standard. Every nuke skill locked is going to follow the standards set by Rasengan/Chidori, so I'm not sure why FTG and its Utility-brand siblings would be any different. Beyond that, the formatting is literally the same as every other technique that combines effects? Would it help if I just... struck the Setup Phase portion from the technique? TBH, the basic functionality of the technique is different enough here that I don't think the similarities go any further than this being seen as 'inspired by'. edit: or is it the variable cost thing? can def change that to just a static additional health cost.
  7. Finding hair bind gifs is difficult, but here's two that just about do it. This character is Yamagishi Yukako and her ability is called 'Love Delux', if you wanna try taking a swing looking for similar gifs somewhere else. If you've got Photoshop, you should be able to weave these two together pretty easily.

  9. School first, do your best! That said, if you would like to play during your downtime- I'm sure many of our GMs wouldn't mind taking things at whatever pace you needed in a solo arc!

  11. "The target suffers is [Bruised] for three turns." Wild Lion's Mane effect has some goofy wording there. I'm glad I saw this again, though- I was going to eventually end up making Wild Lion's Mane myself b/c I didn't remember that you had already done it. Here's a gif for your efforts!

  13. Response: The minimum chance to hit reduction is meant to bring your minimum chance to be hit to 0% rather than the standard 15%. You would still need to actually have enough dodge chance to lower the hit chance by that value. I'm not sure how might be a better way to word this, but I'm open to the alternative. As for the Main Phase part, I figured it was an okay trade off to require an additional 50% cost paid for in health- open to alternatives, though. Setup: Contesting, I'd like another opinion on this. I'm down to tweak this around a bit, but simply adding an additional non-technique action makes this more or less equal to quick draw- which has no chakra cost and accomplishes a similar effect. The first compromise that comes to mind is to limit this to two techniques whose cooldowns stack their duration as free actions. Meaning that this person would effectively get about 3 Setup Phases when using this technique; I'd also be up for throwing a "may not stack with other effects that grant additional free actions in the setup phase" as an additional limiter, if you guys think that is necessary. That said, this is probably one of those cases where the effect is not as intimidating as it initially seems. You can ramp up a lot of effects on this... and then just get RPJ'd and be essentially locked out of your Setup Phase techniques for the rest of the battle. Main: They're not free- you're still paying chakra and health for 'em. Should I move this down to one additional phase? Should I make it so that it is just an additional action within a single phase? Skip a Beat(Main Site Time Archetype Genjutsu) removes additional main phase actions(plural) for 156 chakra. This would have an effective cost of 250 before reductions, which I think is enough in excess versus Skip a Beat to draw a valid comparison(even with Skip being a Main Site technique). Could increase the cost of additional actions taken? Diminish modifiers on additional actions taken? I think we have a lot of options to available to make this work, so let's see if we can't come up with a good compromise before slamming the red stamp on it. As for the utility and SP cost... I don't disagree with you? I mean, Hiraishin is also one of those cases- it's literally good on everyone. Insta-Opening once a battle? On demand dynamic traps? Negation jutsu that doesn't have a *real* scaling cost? I'm not trying to call out Hiraishin's effects as being OP or anything, but rather pointing out that saying that something is good on anyone isn't really a solid point to stand on when overturning any of the effects... and I think that we'll find that any of the skill-locked techniques are most likely going to be 'good' even if they're not used by someone specifically specializing in their use. That said, I don't mind increasing the cost of the first rank to -2 if it'll help with any of the other considerations. edit: Since a Denial usually requires an admin to overturn, I'm gunna go ahead and tag them. @cntrstrk14 @Azure edit2: For clarity, this is intended for my Hatake. If it'll smooth the process over, I can add the personal hijutsu tag on it for him.
  14. Designer's Notes Using Hiraishin as the basis for this as a 'utility' skill-locked technique over the usual damaging ones. Cost is fairly arbitrary, but again based on Hiraishin's standard. Its chakra cost is a bit lower, but I was banking on the additional health cost kind of covering that. Yeah. Cool stuff, man.
  15. Worldline Manipulation Method Effect: Characters with this skill may purchase ‘Sekai no Kansō’. For each rank in this skill beyond the first, the user may increase any two battle limitations of ‘Sekai no Kansō’ by one (1) each. The battle limitations that are increased are chosen at the time that this skill is taken and should be noted with this skill on the player’s character sheet. Requirements: Level 75; additional ranks may be purchased every 15 levels. Ranks: 4 Cost: -1 Sekai no Kansō | 世界の間奏 | Interlude of the World Type: Ninjutsu [ Kinjutsu; Powerful ] Rank: Jōnin Cost: 150 Chakra + (50+5x) Health Effects: When determining the cost of this technique, ‘x’ is equivalent to the 120 minus the user’s level. This technique may be performed in the Response Phase, Setup Phase, or Main Phase as a Free Action. Response Phase: The user of this technique increases their chance to dodge by (Concentration/10)% and treats their minimum chance to be hit as if it were reduced by 5%. This technique has a 10% chance to fail. The user may take action in their Main Phase, though any action performed increases its total cost by 50%, paid for in Health. Dodge rolls made during this turn must mention this technique. This technique may be utilized one (1) time per battle in the Response Phase. Setup Phase: The user of this technique may perform any Setup Phase action during this Setup Phase as if it were a free action. Techniques, items, or effects that possess a cooldown mechanic(e.g. “The user of this technique may not use another technique in the Setup Phase for two (2) turns) do not prevent others from being used on this turn, though the cooldown turn duration is stacked cumulatively and applied after this turn. If a Standard Setup Phase action does not have a cooldown duration, treat it as if possessed one whose duration was one (1) turn. The user of this technique may not use another technique in the Setup Phase for two (2) turns following this technique, cumulative with the previous effects. This technique may be used one (1) time per battle in the Setup Phase. Main Phase: The user of this technique gains two(2) additional Main Phases on this turn; these additional Main Phases do not increase the user’s Turn Order per the standard additional Main Phase rules. Using this technique may not cause a character to have more than four (4) Main Phases on this turn. This technique may be used one (1) time per battle in the Main Phase. Description: Designed first as an attempt to reverse the flow of time in a meaningful way, Sekai no Kansō was originally considered to be a failed technique and was cast aside without name or mastery. Though the original designer has long since faded to history, many have picked up this frustrating work over the ages since and have gradually added to this technique’s applicability until it reached its current state: something able to be used to greater capacity than its previous nature as an overly complex parlor trick. From the user’s perspective, Sekai no Kansō seems to halt the flow of time in the world and allows them to move freely within the frozen spacetime. To function at such a level, an unfathomable level of chakra would be necessary to affect the entirety of creation, as a limited form the technique’s usage would potentially be catastrophic if only an isolated space was thus frozen due to such forces as Celestial Motion. Rather than performing the impossible by freezing all of reality, this technique’s effect is localized to its user; those performing the Sekai no Kansō are ejected from their current timestream and instead are able to interact with the world in their current frame of reference as if they were an outsider immune to the concept of time’s passage. The complete functionality of this technique are not fully understood, as causality seems to be only partially suspended during their chrono-transient state- objects may be moved and interacted with to a limited degree, but effects not limited to motion require the user to once again enter their timestream before they can take place. Sekai no Kansō is not without its drawbacks, however. As the human body is something that has evolved with the laws of time, space, and causality in mind, removing those laws from the body creates a great strain on the user; exiting the timestream in this way causes the user’s heart to beat erratically or without rhythm while outside of normal spacetime, essentially subjecting the user to a minor and controlled ‘heart attack’ each time they exit the timestream. Returning to the timestream restores normal functionality, but the damage has often already been done. Requirements: Worldline Manipulation Method JP: 20
  16. Oh, and so it does. Looked really similar at a glance! I've also got a Mega Absol at home that I was going to put on my desk, but it looks too much like a MLP plush for me to want to take it anywhere public, unfortunately. I'm really hoping to get that Black Box of Automata so I can put 2B as my non-pokemon statue here, but my desk is pretty much the pokedesk atm.
  17. Yall and your fancy Kakashi statues. Here's my work station! and then my non-pokemon corner. EDIT: The figures up top aren't mine, they're the next guy over! Here's his figure shelf, cropped b/c he has family photos there too. And finally, my Zu-Buddy! He's there for when the customers just drive me absolutely batty.
