Clan Info:

The Akimichi clan is one of the four noble clans of Konohagakure no Sato. They are able to convert calories into chakra, which they then use in their hidden jutsu, Baika no Jutsu and its various related jutsu. As such, Clan members have a vast knowledge of nutritional information that would otherwise be lost on normal Ninja, including which plants are poisonous, what common 'supplemental' pills (such as solider pills) look like, and what their effects can be.

The Akimichi clan seems to have a special relationship with the Nara family and Yamanaka family. For generations, members of these three families have formed an "InoShikaCho trio". Named after the first part of the names of the members. The Akimichi members are the Cho in InoShikaCho.

Another thing about this powerful clan is that they make three pills available only to those that belong to the Akimichi clan. Three different pills with three different colors.

Blue pill - Houren-gan pill

Yellow pill - Curry pill

Red pill - Pepper pill

Taking even one of these pills causes great damage to the body. All of the pills increase the chakra of whoever eats them. However, these pills do not only cause great damage to the body but th pills can also be fatal. In most cases, people die from eating them because of too much of a strain on the body. That's why the members of the Akimichi clan only use these as a last resort. These pills also have a particular order in which you are supposed to take them. Starting with eating the weakest to the strongest pill. In this order: Houren-gan pill, Curry pill, and then finally the Pepper pill.

Furthermore, those of the Akimichi Clan who reach the rank of Chuunin do not wear the normal Chuunin Vest, but are instead granted the use of their Clan Armor. This armor has been specially crafted to also increase proportionally in size when the secret Akimichi clan Jutsu is utilized.
