Metropolis Chuunin Exams

An Open Invitation:.

Announced earlier today, an open invitation to the Harvest Spirit Festival held within Metropolis within the Country of Earth was sent to all of the hidden villages across the continent. The Harvest Spirit Festival is a yearly tradition for the country, celebrating the end of a long season of agriculture while also remembering your ancestors and paying respect to their memory. Normally this type of invitation would not be anything special coming from a major city, however it also comes with an open invitation to participate in the first intercontinental Chuunin Exams to be held since the summer of 2106 where they were held in Kusagakure no Sato. Our sources have told us that more formal invitations have been sent to the kage of each village, requesting their attendance and the attendance of any candidates for Chuunin rank that they have. Of course, if you are not a ninja or looking to earn the Chuunin rank, you may come and enjoy the tournament, festival and the city! Metropolis is one of the largest and most advanced cities in the known world, with buildings taller than any other city including the mysterious tower whose name has been lost to time. The festival and the exams are said to be held in the same areas of the city, so anyone looking to come will not have to choose between which they would rather enjoy! Sources in Metropolis have reported that they have already begun construction to modify the concert and tournament buildings to occupy the events. We hope to hear more about this exciting event soon!

The event itself will be taking place in the early fall of this year, so as summer winds down you can start thinking about travel plans if you want to make this possible once in a lifetime event!

Tomorrow! The Big Day!:.

It has been an exciting month coming into these events, the city of Metropolis has been working day and night in preparation for their yearly festival! As many of you may have heard, Daniel Hollows announced two weeks ago that the International Chuunin Exams would be held in the newly built Daitengu Stadium. The Daitengu Stadium is an open air arena created to host the largest events for one of the worlds largest cities. It was built in 2111 after the fall of the Kumogakure Empire and was named after the mythical Daitenju, the most powerful of Tenju said to live atop mountains. It is the largest stadium of its type in the known world, able to hold approximately 55,000 people comfortably, though it had been known to hold nearly 90,000 people for events where the majority of the field is not needed. Everything from sporting events to concerts are held here all year round, and now for the first time the International Chuunin Exams. Just the other night the well known band 'Lime's Rush' played a concert there with tens of thousands of people showing up.

Tomorrow will mark the first day of the festival, and many shop owners are excitedly stocking their shelves as countless people come from outside of the country to spend time in the city. The citizens are abuzz as rumors that the I.A.F. Admirals may show up during the festival have gotten many ears interested. Whether you are going to participate in the exams, observe ninja competition or just to enjoy the market and games, the festival is sure to have something to ignite your interest!

Editor's Note- As of the printing of this article, we have received word that there may be some old questions answered between Hachinin and Kage alike. Friendly duals may arise, so keep an ear on updates!
