Plant Release: Fingers of the Dead

Type: Ninjutsu [Hanamajo | Plant | Set-Trap]

Rank: Chuunin

Cost: 150 Chakra

Damage: N/A

Effects: Opponent is afflicted with 2 turns of "Bound [Paired Arms]" and 1 turn of "Shackled [Paired Legs]"

Description: A strangely, but aptly, named technique from the Hanamajo arsenal. Once triggered, dozens of thick, green vines with red leaves erupt from the ground grasping at the victim's arms and legs. The color of the vines and the way that they burst from the ground is reminiscent of the hands of the dead clawing their way through the soil.

So, yeah, the last one is experimental. Yes, you can either choose to heal the target of the barrier, (Self, Ally or Opponent) or you may heal the user while placing a barrier around the target.

The benefit of placing a barrier around a target is that they would have to destroy the barrier before even being able to target anyone else. Since it's like a dome, they would be unable to target anyone outside of the barrier unless they had a technique that could be used from behind the barrier as per barrier rules. The Opponent's team could also attempt to break the barrier, but as per barrier rules, any roll over damage must be rolled to dodge. So it's an experimental technique for sure, but not completely useless, or at least I believe it deserves playtesting before being classified as useless. (Not that you called it that! I'm just saying that if it doesn't work, it would be useless, but if it does work, it's a new form of offense for defensive characters! :D)

1: I could be wrong, because I'm not entirely sure about the relationship between AoE and Seal-Less, but;

If you apply jonin ratios to 10 damage, the cost is 6. Mulitply that by 4, and you get 24. Add half again to that for the no seals and you come up with 36 Chakra for the final cost. Seems like you're overpaying by like 175%

2: Approved
