  1. It's that time of year when we all get busy with various holidays and family obligations. So, why don't we do a little something to make this all a little more fun and give out some free stuff! Happy Late Halloween, Holidays and Early New Years! All combined into one! If you're a regular around here, you already know how this goes. If not, here's how it works! This is a mix of two events we normally try to do. A Halloween event where we give out some candy and creepy gifts and then a Holiday one to spread goodwill and cheer. Regardless of what holidays you celebrate, please join in on the festivities! All currently approved characters, receive the following: 3 Milk Chocolate Shuriken -A four pronged piece of chocolate shaped to look like a Shuriken. A classic treat for children dressed as ninjas. Effect: Gain 1 JP when this candy is eaten. Value: $25 2 Pumpkin Juice -A small wax bottle containing a sweet orange liquid. Even the small amount in the bottle packs a punch of flavor including cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and just a little hint of something spicy. Effect: This candy may be eaten when your character receives experience. When you eat this candy, you gain +100 EXP. Only one "Pumpkin Juice" may be eaten per thread. Value: $50 2 Black Licorice Bats -Only psychopaths like this candy. The unforgettable flavor of the licorice root in the shape of a hairy bat, complete with little strands that get caught in your teeth. Makes a squeaking sound when you eat it. Effect: When this candy is eaten, you may increase the word-count of the post that this candy was consumed in by +200 Words. Eating multiple 'Black Licorice Bats' may stack this effect to a maximum of +400 words. Value: $50 1 Creepy Capsule Prize! [Roll 1 (One) d35 to Determine your prize!] 1 Random Holiday Gift -To get your random gift, roll 2d50, using the die roller found on the main site. You're only allowed two (2) rolls and out of those two (2) rolls you can take a (one) gift! Please feel free to reach out to me or any staff with questions.
  2. Nah, I like it twice per battle total. Make them choose! Don't need double ammunition against someone who can swap offenses.
  3. Hi! I'm PandaMattMatt, resident Medical expert (I wrote the Medical system as it exists in it's current form). I also happen to have a character (Hanamajo Junsei) who is a Medic and Genjutsu specialist! So when I saw these I wanted to pop in and see what was up. I suggest dropping the Medical tag entirely and just going for "learned via medical training" flavor. Speaking from a standpoint of Flavor, you can drop the medic tag and make them exclusively Genjutsu, but keep the "Medical Arts; Demonic Healing" title and description. You can even keep the Source Requirement of "Konoha Medical Corps"! The benefits to this is that these Genjutsu can have their cost reduced with the right skills (Inner calm, Genjutsu Magnifier, etc) and would actually save you 1 jp on each iteration. Any technique with a medical tag cannot ever have it's chakra cost reduced by any means, a part of making medical stuff balanced. Nothing I see in these techniques would necessitate being a medical tag either, aside from your flavor.
  4. So, I think that is an unnecessary restriction. Gate Affinity alone negates 3 Real Life Days, 6 In Character Days and 3000 words at max rank. This entirely eliminates all written word requirements through Gate 6. Granted that still leaves 1 Real Life Day and 3 In Character Days of recovery... but because of how time works on NA, those are handwaved... like almost always. So basically, the only actual drawback to the Gates is written words until Gate 8 which is just... death. So if Gates 1-6 have no drawback with Gate Affinity and Gate 8 just auto kills your character that leaves us with ONLY Gate 7 having a drawback. Gate 7 imposes, 5 Real Life Days, 14 In Character Days, and 4000 written words for recovery. With gate Affinity alone, these become: 2 Real Life Days, 8 In Character Days and 1000 written words. Now, say we stack this with Rehabilitator. Either Self Targeted or even just a secondary character with this present (Kouta and Junsei for example), Stacking these skills, assuming max ranks in both or really any combination of the two to equal 4+ ranks, reduces ONLY Gate 7 to 0 Real Life Days, 2 In Character Days and 0 Written words. No matter what arrangement of skills you get, Gate 8 will still kill you, so we can effectively ignore it in this consideration. I honestly don't believe an extra 1000 written words discount is so heinous as to disallow the stacking of these skills. Especially since both the Real Life and In Character times are... basically non-drawbacks considering time is so handwavy that only under INCREDIBLY rare circumstances (like Chuunin Exams or something where we have a global time lock) would it ever be brought up. Now, if after this, you still feel it shouldn't be allowed to stack, I can definitely add it to the skill. I just don't think it's necessary.
  5. It is entirely meant to work on the user as well. This is actually based on a Gate Skill that does something similar. I linked Gate Affinity as well. But anyways, a Gate User medic would benefit from this, yes.
  6. I don't think you should be completely rewriting the effect of plant. Essentially, you're A.) creating an entirely new element. B.) Stepping on the toes of Snow I believe that does chakra/stamina damage. C.) Is very close and infringing on Tank Stat draining which we only allow as a bloodline ability. In it's current form I do not think Vampiric Pollen is approvable. I have been aware of your plant stuff for a bit and I am very glad that there is another plant user who is not a medic. However, it seems to me that you are not at all interested in using the plant aspect as much as a fungal aspect moreso. So maybe you take the time and make a new element like Combi: Fungus. Then you could create a whole new effect and really focus on this niche "draining" you seem interested in. Just a thought.
  7. Twisted shadows creep into yards and fertile minds… autumn moon on trees Original Poem found here It's getting chilly, the leaves are changing, the scent of warm spice fills the air! This is my personal favorite time of year and I love being able to share it with all of you! Here in English speaking countries, Halloween is celebrated every year without fail and with near universal recognition. However, in Japan, Halloween is a very recent tradition. Trick-or-treating is very rare as the very idea of bothering strangers for candy is absurd in Japanese culture. However, costumes and celebration are becoming more and more common! This time of year though is often a celebration of the moon and of harvest. Anyone who has been around for my first two Halloween events knows a bit about this already. Moon viewing parties and special moon related dishes are prepared and served in festive celebration to welcome the changing of the season. So, grab some Tsukimi Dango, find a cozy spot to lay and look up at the moon! Just remember, it is not made of cheese... don't eat the damn moon!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! All currently approved characters obtain the following: 3 Milk Chocolate Shuriken -A four pronged piece of chocolate shaped to look like a Shuriken. A classic treat for children dressed as ninjas. 8. I labeled, my math wrong. 40 + 72 = 112 -> 115. I usually only ever overpay instead of underpaying haha
  9. This series needs to be mirror Chakra shield since Styleless is the taijutsu equivalent of Void chakra. So change the numbers to be (2x + 50) / (4x + 75) / (6x + 100). Also, I would do exactly chakra shield and give this 1 name with ranks. So... Steel Inlay would be perfect. That way A.) you can say this doesn't stack with other instances of Steel inlay (cause currently, it mentions not stacking with chakra shield which is... probably just a copy/paste lay over haha) You're honestly not far from this, I would just make it a lot more succinct.
  10. Pwnzie, the concrete answer is that it is a tech that can be used as both a coalescence and as a solo tech. So it should be 10 jp. It's pretty cut and dry Iron clad wording too. There is literally nothing confusing about it.
  11. Your condition of "Can only be used once coalescence conditions have been met" followed immediately by "This technique can be performed without coalescence as long as there are no summons currently under the users control. " are massively contradictory and kind of a blatant attempt to get a reduced jp cost. Sooo... rework that. Either it CAN be used without coalescence or it CAN'T be. It cannot be both.
  12. Your first one breaks damage caps when you add the burning and regular savages together. The cap is 60, so you can either deal 10 regular damage or 20 Burning Damage for 2 turns. Either way though, the damage has to come down by 10. The rest of these look fine though.
  13. In an effort to push clarity over conciseness, I would rather see these effects have... actual words. "Burning; 25 For 2 turns" or even "The target is i inflicted with 'Burning; 25' or 2 turns." Limiting words is fine, but at a certain point we lose too many words and end up with an ambiguous technique because it lacked unifying lingo.
  14. I'm not convinced of the drawback here. I have very rarely seen anyone use RPJ in the first 3 turns especially since no one can use offensive actions on their first turn. So really this only affects turn 2 and 3. It might come up, but honestly probably not enough to be a true hindering. The name also feels misplaced here. RPJ are split second choices (in character here). Maybe something here that reduces your beginning turn order by a chunk, making you almost always second to act and possibly allowing the opponent to double turn you. That would be a more appropriate hindering skill by this name in my opinion
  15. Wooop, my bad. Should have checked to see first. I took a look and nothing stands out as needing to be resubbed on your skill, Rach. So @Toroi21 I'd change up kampo arts.
  16. I think these look fine. However since I had a heavy hand in altering them and more importantly because I might want to use them... I have to abstain from approving.
  17. Approved @Cloudnine or a other member of approval staff will need to make the final approval.
  18. This is a skill I have been wanting for a long time for flavor reasons. The way that everyone wants Wise around for the training benefits. I would think Medics would be the same for recovery. I based the numbers off of Kouta's Gate Affinity. However, I messed with the wording a little cause I didn't like his. This is a General Skill assuming you meet the requirements, as always, please PM if you take this skill.
  19. Rehabilitator Effect: When this character is present, the recovery time and word requirement for all characters is reduced by 1x RL Day, 2x IC Days and 1000x Words. X is equal to this character's rank in this skill. This can reduce recovery time and words required to 0. Requirement: Path of the Advanced Medic Ranks: 3 Cost: -1 sp
