Description: Daisen is not very built to say the least, this is mostly due to the fact that his mother had always impart the platitude ‘brain over brawn’ as he was a child. That whole mindset gave him a more scholarly approach to being a ninja and therefore he spends little time going through an intense physical regiment. Instead he devotes himself to more of a basic work out pattern to help develop a lightly toned body. Generally he isn't tall, but he is in within normal range for his age group, yet in older company is isn't unlikely for him to be at -high- chest level

Personality: Daisen has always had a rather cheerful demeanor, and is always at hand to lend support, encouragement and guidance to his friends. He has a fairly complex personality; at times he is slightly mischievous, laid-back and friendly, but at other times he has shown cold and bitter sides to himself. He will fiercely protect people he considers good people, or better yet his friends. Despite a generally playful attitude, Daisen can be very mature for his age, often acting as a big brother and mentor to the people he is around. Very intelligent and strategic when it comes to battling, working out effective tactics and shows himself knowledgeable about facts and history; showing his resolution to not repeating the mistakes of the past.

Chapter zero


     Daisen was born on September 16th, 2103 to Masumi and Ushiro of the Sarutobi clan in Hotarunoshi. Several weeks later the couple moved with their newborn just a few blocks from the clan estate to be closer to their family. Daisen’s father, Ushiro was originally assigned to protecting the family of a minor Daimyo of the country but comfortably settled back into the role of academy teacher when they returned to Konoha. They boy grew up surrounded by love and support from his parents and extended family, causing him to see comfort in those around him. 

 

     When Kumo invaded Konoha many of the family the young boy knew died, but he was too young to really understand what was really going on. Even not fully grasping the situation he felt the strain and it caused him developed an urge to fix the uneasiness of those around him. Something that served to make himself a small beacon of hope in his clan, and fueled some of the motivation for his mother to help the resistance efforts in any way she could, but never specified what she had contributed.

 

     The spring of 2110 brought change once again to the world, not only did the NCIA fall, but Daisen was also granted a little brother, Myojin. Even though the two were separated by six years, they became instantly close. Three years later it was clear that Daisen would protect his little brother furiously from any danger he saw. It was his brother that finally made the boy want to join the academy when it was reinstituted. 

 

     When he turned nine he officially registered with ninja academy and started taking classes halfway through the year. Daisuke has proved himself to be a mostly model student in the last three years, however he tends to pick fights with those he sees as a bully. Despite him being the one picking the fights, teachers often look the other way for him.

Academy Student
Effect: This skill may only be taken at character creation. Characters with this skill begin play at the rank of Academy Student, which is considered to be below the rank of Gennin. Academy Students begin play at level U4 and begin with 100 Stat Points, 2 Jutsu Points and 1 Skill Point. Level progression proceeds as follows: U4, U3, U2, U1, 0. As they progress an Academy Student gains one (1) Jutsu Point at level U3 and U1 and one (1) Skill Point at level U2. Progression between levels U4 and 0 requires 200 Experience per level. Upon reaching level 0, the Academy Student must pass an exam to become a Genin. Upon completion of the exam they receive an additional 1 SP and 2 JP as a rank bonus. Academy Students may not train by themselves for experience, and may not purchase techniques above their rank. Levels and ranks gained by this skill do not count toward any other effect. Jutsu of the Academy rank have a maximum CP of 40, and utilize a 3:2 ratio when determining chakra and stamina costs. Academy Students may begin play with 1 additional free Academy Technique of their creation. Basic Path skills may not be taken until reaching level 0. If a character starts with enough TXP to make them level 0 or higher, they must still complete their exam to become Genin, even if it is retroative

Body Replacement Technique II |  
Rank: Gennin 
Cost: x Chakra 
Effect: This technique may be performed as a Free Action in the Response Phase following a failed dodge roll. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is equivalent to the cost of 1 basic attack or weapon attack that the user failed to dodge. The damage and effects of that basic attack or weapon attack are negated. The user may take no action in the Setup Phase or Main Phase on the turn this technique is used. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle. 
Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent's attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies.

Clone Technique II | Bunshin No Jutsu II
Type: Ninjutsu 
Rank: Gennin 
Cost: 5x Chakra 
Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is considered to be the number of 'Clones' created by the user and may never be greater than 4. 'Clones' have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. 'Clones' are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every 'Clone' on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle. 
Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshin jutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.

Transformation Technique II | Henge No Jutsu II

Effect: During any situation in which a character with this technique would need to calculate their 'Visibility Score', they may use this technique to reduce their 'Visibility Score' by -20%. 'Visibility Score' reduction caused by this technique may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). 
Description: The Transformation Technique is a time-honored staple of nearly every shinobi academy the world over. Its concept and execution are both extremely basic, making it a perfect training technique for young students. By molding chakra around their body, the user of the Transformation Jutsu is able to temporarily take on the physical characteristics of another person. Though the Henge no Jutsu rarely offers a perfect disguise, clever ninja have been using it for hundreds of years to confound their foes.

Damage: N/A 
Effect: Absorb 20 damage directly in front of the user. Multiple walls may be laid down for 20 nin a piece. Does not stop Genjutsu. Any damage done over the 20 will carry over and effect the user. The opponent may sidestep the wall skipping their main phase to move. 
Description: Creates a wall (or walls) in front of the user which can be used to absorb attacks and jutsus that come directly from the front. The opponent may move to go around the wall though.

Harijutsu; Bakukunai | Wire Technique; Exploding Kunai | 針金術・爆裂苦無
Type: Taijutsu [Set Trap]
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 40 Stamina
Damage: 5
Effects: The opponent is afflicted with 'Scorched' for one (1) turn.
Description: The ninja throws a kunai with an explosive tag wrapped around it towards the opponent, purposefully missing their target. The tag has a thin wire attached to it that can be used to trigger the tag at a later time, usually as an opposing ninja unknowingly passes over it.

Shadow Shuriken Technique | Kage Shuriken No Jutsu
Type: Taijutsu 
Rank: Gennin

Damage: 2x 
Effect: When calculating the Damage of this technique 'x' is equivalent to the damage dealt by 1 Small Weapon. This technique deals 2 strikes and both strikes must target the same target. The second strike of this attack is considered a Dynamic Trap with its conditions already met. 2 Small Weapons of the same type must be used to perform this technique. When applying statistical modifiers, this technique is treated as a 'Ranged Weapon' attack. This technique may be used 1 time per battle. 
Description: The Kage Shuriken Jutsu has been taught to young ninja for years, both as a practice to enhance one's timing when attacking and as a method for attacking with subterfuge. To perform this attack, the user must throw two fuma shuriken shuriken, the first toss being overt and obvious, and the second being almost imperceptible. To perform this attack successfully, the user hides their second shuriken within the shadow of the first, leaving the target open to the attack, even if the first shuriken is deflected.

Manipulated Shuriken Technique | Sōshuriken No Jutsu
Type: Taijutsu

Effect: This technique may be performed in the Main Phase as a Free Action after making a range Small Weapon Attack. If the target of the user's Small Weapon Attack dodges any strikes made by the attack they must dodge that strike a second time. When dodging a strike for the second time that strike is treated as if the user had +50x Accuracy. The user of this technique must consume a 'Wire String; Rank x' when performing this technique. 
Description: By affixing nearly translucent and flexible string to their weapons, a skilled shurikenjutsu practitioner is able to guide their shuriken even after the weapon has left their hand. Attacking with this method allows even a missed shuriken to be guided back toward the target for a second attempt at dealing damage.

Fire Release; Phoenix Sage Fire Technique | Katon; Hōsenka no Jutsu
Type: Ninjutsu [Konohagakure; Fire] 
Rank: Gennin 
Cost: 20x 
Damage: 20 per strike 
Effect: This technique possesses a number of strikes equal to x, with a maximum of three (3). Each strike of this technique has -10% chance to hit. Once per battle, if three (3) strikes were made with this technique and at least two (2) fail to hit their target, the user may treat a non-Genjutsu, Genin ranked technique used in their following turn against the same target as if it were a Dynamic Trap with its conditions fulfilled. 
Description: Another technique gifted to Konoha by its Uchiha forebears, Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu is as much of a flash strategy as it is a standalone technique. The user will knead Fire-natured chakra within their torso, then spit out a small flurry of fireballs that are rather inaccurate. The intensity of the flame combined with its very predictable attack pattern tends to trap their targets into committing a dodge whose trajectory is pre-determined by the user. The user usually follows this with a secondary attack to take advantage of the target's brief exposure.

Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique | Katon; Gōkakyū no Jutsu

Effect: The value of X is a number between 0 and 3, chosen when this technique is utilized. This technique afflicts one (1) turn of 'Burning: 10x'. 
Description: Originally crafted as a signature technique of the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure, Gōkakyū no Jutsu has found its way into the hands of both common Konoha shinobi and further into the world at large. Though most powerful when handled by a member of its origin clan, Gōkakyū no Jutsu is a formidable and relatively easy to use technique wherein the user kneads chakra inside their body, converts it to fire, then expels flames rapidly from their mouth. Though the technique gains its namesake from a large orb shape, it is easily used as a continuous flame-thrower whose volume can be controlled through raw chakra output. The impact of this technique is not the most potent, but it easily burns away its targets and often leaves a scorched crater in its wake.

  • You don't have Academy Student Hindering Skill listed anywhere on the sheet.
  • You should have -2 SP from the Academy Student levels currently. You will get the final 1 SP and 2 JP when you do your flashback to complete your Academy Exam role play that is required of that hindering skill.
  • Shitsukeisan| Disciplined Heritage | 躾遺産 does not have a cost reduction for being a Sarutobi. It is the clan's one "Hereditary" skill, meaning that it can only be learned by players that were born in the clan (the other skills can be taught to other players by someone who knows the skill, but there would likely be some clan repercussions for spilling their secrets). 
  • As pwnzie pointed out, there are some issues with background color in areas. The easiest way to fix these is to open the post, remove all formatting (little eraser tool between font size and emoticons on the top bar) and reformat the page yourself. This is minor, but its a real eye sore and it sounds like you have some issues on dark and light skins since both me and pwnzie are seeing them. Let me know if you need help sorting this out.
