Combinatorial; Venom

Effect: May use Venom Element techniques. Status effects that cost less then 50 DP inflicted by Venom techniques last one post longer. User must pay the difference in DP for Status Effects that cost more. This can't break effect turn limits.

Requirements: Must be a snake.

Cost: -1

I'd consider this being a -2 type skill. It may be simple, but for some status effects it's gaining a lot of DP value there comparing it to other effects of typical elements.

What if I just added something along the lines of the user having to pay the extra cost for the prolonged effect? This is pretty much just going to be the 'free' element for the summons, and I'm not sure if the increased cost is going to screw with lowering the cost to -0 since it's the snake element.

Also, I think this needs to be classified as a "Combinatorial Element", simply because there are only 5 Basic Elements. This won't mess with your Summons [summon Rules: If you choose a combination element you do not get access to the base elements].

As for the cost, maybe something like "Status effects that cost less then 50 DP inflicted by Venom techniques last one post longer. User must pay the difference in DP for Status Effects that cost more. This can't break effect turn limits."

A combination of what? Doesn't it have to be listed or at least in the description? It's supposed to be treated as void, I guess. I agree either way. Edited it for your suggestion, also added a restriction. I might make a skill that allows humans to use them, but that's for the future.

If you want it to be treated as "Void" then it is not really an element. The word "Element" pertains to a rather specific set of rules and mechanics in our system. I would suggest instead of going as an element, just making them "Venom" techniques. Mention that they are treated as "void" and may never have an element associated with them.
