Ravage Nocturne Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) Integument Mastery Archetype: Clan Skill Description: As the Nankan grow more accustomed to manipulating their Chakra, it becomes effortless for them to exert their will through focus alone, providing them the offensive advantage of transforming their skin without hand seals Effect: Character may perform [Kaehade (変え膚) Evolving Skin] Ninjutsu without the use of hand seals Restrictions: Seal #120 Must be Released Cost: -1 Example: This is the Kaehade style of Ninjutsu Multiple Layer Formation Archetype: Clan Skill Description: As the Nankan learn to modify their skin with unique textures and effects, they grow accustomed to 'layering' their curious Ninjutsu in such a manner as to provide the effects of several skins at the same time. Particularly relating to their Elemental Skins, the Nankan may form up to three layers of varying elemental properties to help reduce the impact of Ninjutsu attacks Effect: Character may ignore the "Only one elemental skin may be active at a time" clause for the Nankan Elemental Skins, and may apply additional skins pending rank in this skill Rank One: Character may now apply a elemental second skin for 50% additional activation and maintenance fees Rank Two: Character may now apply a elemental second skin for 25% additional activation and maintenance fees, and a third skin for 100% additional activation and maintenance fees Rank Three: Character may now apply a elemental second skin for 25% additional activation and maintenance fees, and a third skin for 75% additional activation and maintenance fees Restrictions: Seal #120 Must be Released. No more than three elemental skins may ever be applied at once Note: While calculating overall damage reduction, reduction from double-element combinatorial elements stacks with itself (25+25+25=75 less damage) Cost: -1 per rank Multiple Layer Formation: Flash Application Archetype: Clan Skill Description: Through experience may the Nankan reap the rewards of practice, and the practice of applying defensive skins requires less focus and time than they had in the past. Many Nankan develop a natural affinity for the manipulation of their skin, as evidenced through their ability to alter its properties by whim alone Effect: Character may perform Nankan Elemental Skins during the Set-Up Phase as well, though only once per turn and at an additional 25% Cost Restrictions: Seal #120 Must be Released Cost: -1 Edited October 25, 2011 by Ravage Nocturne
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 After the second was removed, I'm good with Approving the only remaining skill.
Ravage Nocturne Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Added two more Nankan Mastery skills. These are essentially 'resubs' from the older system, now applied to the newer! Please note that there *will* be more elemental skins in the future, for Jounin Rank!!
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 2. I think I'm okay with this one. 3. I feel like this should state that only one skin may be applied in the setup phase. Additionally, I would -like- to see the base activation cost increased if they're used in the setup phase, though I am flexible on this with what others thing.

I can understand your concern, but if it helps any, my defense would be that it is only for a very, very specific series of Ninjutsu that ultimately do the same thing, rather than allowing the Nankan to access different versions of "Skin jutsu" in this manner. Nonetheless, if it would be more convenient I could talk on a 25% increase?
Azure Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 2. I feel like jumping from 1 skin to 3 is pretty big. I would rather see it as Rank one is 2 skins at 100% fees and then leading in to the rest so it'd make it 4 ranks.
