  1. Will certainly make a few changes, just give me a moment to apply
  2. Removed the alternate effects to keep them stream-lined. Now they all do additional damage, nothing more!
  3. EDIT: Love these site crashes
  4. Example: Cost: 10 Chakra + X and 10 Stamina +X; or 10 Chakra +Y and 10 Stamina +Y Effect: X is equal to 50% of the Chakra or Stamina cost of an incoming Taijutsu or Ninjutsu technique. Y is equal to 50% of the incoming damage from basic or weapon attacks. Depending on which style of damage is being responded to, apply the appropriate cost forumla. Negate all damage and effects from a single source with a 15% chance to fail. This technique may only be used against equal or lesser rank attacks, and the character loses their Set-Up and Main Phases. The source of this/these attacks must roll a d100, where a "1-50" will result in their suffering Distracted for the following turn, while any other number is inconsequential I would suggest adding the tag allowing an opponent to either A. Respond to the potential status affliction or B. Implement my suggestion where they have a 50-50 chance of being affected. Otherwise, you would be depriving them of any sort of reaction to an incoming status effect that they have no control over, which to my understanding, is not allowed. As for the cost, I have proposed a method that allows for you to counter techniques or basic/weapon attacks using different formulas to make sure that your character pays a fair amount. In the case of techniques, you pay 100% plus the 20 for Distracted (looks like you were overpaying to begin with). For basic and weapon attacks, you pay 100% of the incoming modified damage. I chose to use 'modified' as opposed to 'unmodified' since in the case of it being 'cheaper' the more defensive you are, you likely won't need to use this technique. However, in the case your enemy is quite strong, this makes it potentially more expensive to respond to. Near as I can tell, that's a pretty fair way to change it, though by no means are you required to. Just a suggestion!
  5. Kaehade: Nousei Youzai (変え膚: 脳性; Evolving Skin: Cerebral Flux) Requirement: Seal #161 Unlocked Type: Clan Ninjutsu Rank: Chuunin Cost: X Chakra Damage: N/A Effect: X is the cost of an incoming Genjutsu technique, not exceeding 120. Negate an incoming Genjutsu technique's ghost damage and status effects/reductions when applicable. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. May not be used in response to Jounin or higher ranked techniques. User is deprived of a Set-Up and Main Phase. This technique may not be used more than twice per battle Description: The art of Genjutsu revolves around the core principle that the invasion of an enemy Chakra flow allows for the creation of hallucinations, false thoughts and experiences, and other malformations of the senses. In order to combat such sleight of hand, the Nankan have developed a countermeasure that plants 'beacons' within the skin cells of their body, responsive to such attempts. The moment an invasion is sensed, the Nankan reverses their Chakra flow, making it outstandingly difficult to control, and attempts to defeat the Genjutsu before it takes hold of them Points: -4 (-2 Nankan; -2 Total) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kaehade: Shirei Tejina (変え膚: 死霊 手品; Evolving Skin: Ethereal Misdirection) Requirement: Seal #161 Unlocked Type: Clan Ninjutsu Rank: Chuunin Cost: 40 Chakra, 32 Chakra to maintain Damage: N/A Effect: While this technique is active, reduce incoming ghost damage by 25. This technique may not reduce status effects, stat reductions, or the amount of turns that a Genjutsu afflicts the character. Treat this technique as an Elemental Skin Description: A simple application of Chakra through the unique skin cells of the Nankan allows for the individual to shroud themselves in a faint amethyst aura. To touch, their skin is surprisingly cool. This radiation stirs and churns along the body emitting thick plumes of dark smoke, but cannot serve as an offensive implementation due to the thin layer of Chakra spread across the body. Nonetheless, it proves as an effective countermeasure against Genjutsu, where invasive Chakra allows an outside party to manipulate the natural flow of energies within an individual. This 'skin' serves as a distraction for such attempts, proving magnetic to these subtle trespasses, and makes it much more difficult to invade the Chakra of the Nankan Points: -2 (-2 Nankan; -1 Total) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  6. I can understand your concern, but if it helps any, my defense would be that it is only for a very, very specific series of Ninjutsu that ultimately do the same thing, rather than allowing the Nankan to access different versions of "Skin jutsu" in this manner. Nonetheless, if it would be more convenient I could talk on a 25% increase?
  7. Totally overlooked that, derp. Added as suggested.
  8. Will add that taijutsu styles are reduced to a lesser degree!
  9. Responsibility falls on you to clarify such things. Your wording does not indicate 'how' this scale functions, and the final part about the technique not 'ending' until the scale's destructive misleads the reader into believing that it naturally receives damage. I could reasonably interpret this as directing a Ninjutsu towards the user, where the amplifier serves as a barrier. Nonetheless, if it is your wish to roll for a potential block, you must understand that you deprive yourself of the ability to use counter or responsive Ninjutsu, as rules state (same reason you can't roll to dodge THEN defend with a responsive jutsu) Theoretically, in the case of a buffering technique that is fire element, I don't imagine you would get away with 'stealing' it and applying it to yourself, if that is your intention. Otherwise, I feel that this is drastically unbalanced in the case that a ninja spends say, 120 Chakra bolstering their Taijutsu while your 100 Chakra deprives what normally is an action that cannot be responded to. I would highly recommend considering removing this clause, and have it affect offensive jutsu only. Of course, if you're not interested in a GA's opinion, you certainly won't pay mine any heed.
  10. Added two more Nankan Mastery skills. These are essentially 'resubs' from the older system, now applied to the newer! Please note that there *will* be more elemental skins in the future, for Jounin Rank!!
  11. Apologies, but I had forgotten one of the series. I understand that typically, 3 techniques should be limited per page, but in this case I wanted to display them as a package, so they could be evaluated together. The one that I added is the "Chromatic Skin" which counts as an elemental skin, but reduces physical damage
  12. Appreciate the feedback! Wasn't sure what the rules were to travel reduction. Added as requested.
  13. Drat, I misunderstood it after all. Would it be possible to change it from Full Chain to Full Chain? Seemingly, that would work? If so, I'm afraid I might need some help determining the JP and Chakra costs again. This is really not my strong suit.
