-Hair Color: Dark Auburn, with a curved hairline that is obscured by her messy hair that falls over in front. It falls forward a little but is short enough in the front to push up and somewhat in the back. It will fall past her ears if too wet when overly dried, it will frizz to uncontrollable and annoying levels.

-Eye Color: Light amber, that is complimented with her skin tone. The eyes are bright and similar to that of tree sap or light syrup even. They aren't too small, nor too big but they seems so sad to look into as if you seem something about her if you simply glancing at them. People say they cannot look at her for to long when talking because they sense this burning sense of sadness.

-Clothing: A blue-gray jacket which can no longer close due to the zipper being broken off a few years ago. The sleeves are so long that Ran must roll them to her wrists if she needs to exposed her thin hands, she finds even a jacket like this heavy on her possibly due to her smaller frame. Each hand wears a dark blue gloves that only cover her palms, leaving her fingers exposed, there are small gold circles that cover each knuckle on Ran's hand. Under her jacket she wears a long baby blue dress that only falls to her thighs, under it a paled gold pair or shorts that are attached to the fishnet socks she wears almost all the time. She wears no headband but instead wears her village symbol on tops of her shoes. The boots reach to where her dress cuts off and are made of the same materials of any other ninja's sandals but are built to cover her legs.

-Physical Description: Ran's skin is a medium Orcher color,she has a thin frame but is not sickly. Her arms are not stick-like, they are thin and move with a sense of grace. Her legs are long, but lacks a curved figure. Her body from arms to thighs resembles that of a younger boy. With a slight baby face and confused expression.

~History~ (sorry is its really bad...)

Background:

Ran, when she was named her mother she thought of the beautiful flowers that she'd seen growing up as a child. Yes she assumed this child growing in her was a girl. That's all she wanted was a girl a beautiful smart graceful flower of the world. She wanted her child to be beautiful so naming her something as beautiful would make sense, right?

Aina Nankan, the mother of the child Ran Nankan. Expected this girl to blossom into a fine woman, both in beauty and skill that would outshine all others. Her mother wanted her to gain power, be an admerable and well known person regardless of how she was perceived. More and more this woman thought, naming her child laying her goals and achievements in front of her while still growing in the womb. It seemed as if all she wanted was the best of the best nothing more nothing less. She kept anticipating the day where this child could greet the world and begin to become a great person. Of course the father of this child, Minoru care not for the child's skills or world stature all he wanted was the chance to see his child when born. Just to have a chance to know he was a father. Aina was never a whole woman, she seemed a bit broken always being disappointed in things because she expected, placing them in the golden spotlight of opportunity, just too much and was seen, only vocal to such things after being immensely disappointed.

It was a trivial eight months, Aina forgave Ran for all the pains and problems of maternity that she didn't expect her perfect child to give her. It would soon be time for this child to greet the world and soon. In fact, eight months and two weeks was all this baby thought he or she needed as Aina went into labor nearly three weeks earlier than expected. This angered and confused Ran's mother due to the fact that Minoru would not be back for another night...She was stubborn to give birth. Crazy really, Trying to keep her child till the father arrived, needless to say people knew this woman was off her rocker but this was a new level of insanity. Eventually she thankfully gave up on waiting, which left a rather bad situation due to the baby being premature and the mother only trying to make things worse. The child was born with some complications, nothing to cause a life threatening situation...Just to be carefully watched over.

Aina, was not the least bit surprised towards the fact that her dearest daughter Ran was now born.

It was only a week after Ran's birth you would find Aina's husband had gone missing. Not dead, not alive. Nothing was sure of this and it was terrifying, needless to say most simply thought of him as simply dead, they could get over it eventually and move on they guessed.

This tore the woman apart and was a fine straw that broke this already rickety camel's back clear cut in two. She thought of her perfect child now as some sort of bad omen, an embodiment of bad luck. Someone who had deliberately brought these problems because she wasn't truly a perfect child...

It was then she chose to give the child the one path in life she thought would never fit her. She was to simply serve her mother and become a ninja. Then she could just take over what her father did, just be a great ninja. A great and powerful ninja. Now what age to choose? This was simple; start early. This woman was rather insane though. Early to her meant that as soon as her daughter could walk and talk that she would begin studies books, weights, learning her clans ability as best a young child could. The teachings were strict and eventually when Ran grew a little older physical punishment could be brought to her if incompetent in some way to complete a task be it she didn't understand or she was simply to tired to continue. Ran knew only the end of an old tenssen not fit for a weapon but good enough for a blunt reminder too her nose or across the face, proper ways to say "You messed up." "You did wrong." Of course the girl was terrified of this and would hold her hands to protect, only to be hit harder and harder still, soon thinking this was alright and that if she tried to do anything it would make things worse. The girl lived in aspects she only thought were hers but really weren't she was taught what another thought and not what she thought. This was how she learned anything about the world till she turned six. The days weren't short and her mother found some sort of enjoyment in doing all this training. Not the sort of proud mother feeling though...

Ran would frequently become sick, from what some medics thought the overexertion of chakra was causing negative effects on her physical health and Aina knew just what that sort thing could result in. Ran hated the feeling of being sick. Nothing tasted good and it was so hot and uncomfortable all she could do was lay down or fear for her life if she woke up in a hacking fit that made her feel breathless and weak. This began her in a search for what cause certain illnesses so she could avoid the possibility of becoming ill once again. She began learning of things she never knew before from the medics who would check on her. She learned about the wonderful things medicine could bring...

It was sort of a love at first sight for her as she secretly wished her mother allowed her to be a medic instead of a ninja. That would never be though. Though she was frequently ill and hated her daily routines she kept at work, until she was about 11 she had found out, by permission of her mother that she would be sent to fight for a certain client and her mother would receive payment, she didn't know all to much about this she only knew that she was allowed her training for certain reasons. It was her chance to step out into the world she was trained in. If it wasn't due to her poor physical health. She was sort of deemed useless for any fighting from how sick she would get and she wasn't good with much else. She had such potential and it was taken away because of how hard she was pushed.

It was a simple no and she was then told to stop any sort of training altogether. She was weak enough to not be viewed as a threat of some sort with the basic knowledge she had.

This over all rejection was greeted with a similar sense of pain, the feeling of a heavy wooden stick cracking onto her shoulders as her mother made her kneel before her receiving punishment. There were many ways for her to be told she was wrong. It was sickening to her now. All that work and this chance her mother had told her about was taken away. Each hit she winced and wanted to start crying only after three times but something in her was different. She became less of a drone to her mother and more of a person and it opened her more and more to the sad realization her mother was awful to her. Thus resulting in her wanting to flee. First she had to do something about her mother. She didn't kill her but simply stood against her and took the wooden stick hitting her mother across the head. Aina fell to the floor with a small gash with that Ran knew she had done something wrong and only chose one thing to do. Run. Simply run away from her home, her old life and see if she could pursue the dream she had discovered when she was a young girl...

She tried desperately to hide away from people even if she lived with others she never knew in the towns or cities. It scared her and caused her a great deal of grief, fear and only helped in her misunderstanding of why people cannot be trusted…

There were only a few people she had met while hiding away who were kind to her and fed her, merely taking pity on a girl like her. She didn't understand this sad sort of pity and took it in as kindness. Only being able to bring some small hope in her that people are kind to others and will still try to help regardless of their situation. Through her travels she learned more and more about the wars, NCIA, resistance. Some happenings with the world needless to say she seemed rather out of place not knowing enough about the world she had lived in for so many years. It was all hidden away by her mother. The woman kept so much from her, as if she were some china doll only worth saving until one felt ready to throw it off a cliff. Now, after almost five years of hiding away Ran feels she must step back into the world and finally start her life as scared as she, feeling the world may react to her in a negative way.

~Persona~

Personality:

Ran grew up sick and scared, although her health increased while she aged. Her mental stability stayed rather weak. Becoming paranoid of others and sometimes even being easily threatened by a persons appearance she may come off as manic or even hysteric. As she grows in age and strength she also grows less outward in fear. Mostly holding it back in a sort of acute paranoia. Ran does not become suspicious of another if they look normal enough or look pretty, kind, or will be open enough to give their name to her upon greeting.

If she has a philosophy on something be it love, life, fighting, food or kindness she sticks to it and will shed herself of the ever growing fear inside her to stand up to such thing. Though she can be quick to retreat in only a first attempt to convince another.

Sometimes she is persuaded with a gift be it food or an item she can wear or use and will become more open, even normal. Aina, her mother was the only one she would talk to with a sane sense of being hinting that if she knows a person long enough she may in fact come to be normal, with some faults still present. She can laugh and smile but due to her being rather socially awkward she seems to have trouble with it.

Ran trusts women easier than men because of how close she thought she was with her mother. Its as if she just likes something about girls a little more.

Likes: Anything that does not constitute as training, should be a lazy activity. Something she takes personal enjoyment in. Taking things slowly when she can, when eating and dressing or even reading. She feels as if there is too much time to just simply keep doing things one after another.

Dislikes: She cannot stand the sight of needless violence and abuse and would even risk herself to stop it. She has a dislike for milk and beef, games that take to long and make you think a lot, or people who like doing a lot of activities in a short amount of time.

~Favorite~

-Food: Over boiled Rice topped with a fried egg. Placed in a bowl boiling hot vinegar or water. Icecream too.

-Color: Anything that reminds her of the sea, green, blue whites and pinks and browns she thinks of them as calming.

-Music Genre: Anything acoustic

-Book Genre: Romance, and fantasy. She hates horror or suspense novels she'd wind up throwing the book out mid-sentence of an epic chapter.

-Hangout: A hot bath alone, indoors alone...

Description: This Ninjutsu wraps the surface of the skin with Chakra to form a protective shield. This Chakra jets out from the skin and hardens immediately, dampening incoming blows and then fading back into the skin until further offense disrupts it once again. This Ninjutsu is typically extended from the palms to re-direct the force of an incoming blow to the shield

(I am actually working on the jutsu's still I know this still looks rather poor but I just feel so tired and I need to get up in 4 hours so I hope it was alright to post it here and finish up the jutsu tomorrow morning if possibble.)
