He also wears gray hakama that fit comfortably enough to be practical in combat. An obi ties the whole outfit together (literally) the obi is a bright blue with white highlights that seem to resemble a glacial flow. He sports a pair of tribal geka on his feet, with a slip resistant bottom built for seal hunting on the ice flows. -Physical Description: Masato's skin is pale from living all of his 16 years at the Northern most reaches of the world. He is not heavily muscular but fit from an active lifestyle as one of the tribe's hunters. His hair is short, just reaching the tops of his ears, it is too fine to be shaggy and usually lies fairly straight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~History~ Background: Born in the city of Tenkyoku like all Tenjin, Masato was one of the first of the youngest generation of Tenjin to suggest leaving their home in the north. Masato had gained considerable standing in the village, but not without tribulation. The great great great grandson of two prominent Iwa assassins, Masato was born into the world with expectations as a warrior. However, as a young boy, when all the rest of the villagers were learning various ninjutsu, Masato couldn't even form the most basic clone or substitution ninjutsu. Thinking of himself as a failure, Masato was ready to withdraw from his studies of the ninja arts until Tenjin Tome, one of the members of the Elder Council and a good friend of Masato's parents, discovered his true talent. Tome couldn't believe that such strong lineage was lost on the young boy. Tome himself had also struggled with ninjutsu during his schooling. Tome decided to tutor Masato in the arts of genjutsu and quickly discovered this was where Masato's true talents were. Quickly Masato passed his hunter exams (a test similar to the Gennin exam) and was assigned to a hunting squad. Within months, Masato grew to lead his squad, which would always bring back the largest and fiercest seals and killer whales. Masato began to grow antsy and irritable, the stories of the great ninja war that had been passed down through his family inspired dreams of heroism and valor in the young man. Masato decided that it was time that the Tenjin reemerged into the ninja world. He asked Tome to bring the idea before the council. After many months of tireless debate, Masato's generation was granted permission to leave Tenkyoku and return to the ninja world. Masato bid a quick farewell to his parents before setting out alone in a small whale-bone boat to carve out his a place for himself in the ninja world, upon arriving in Oto, Masato registered with the village as a gennin and awaited his future. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Persona~ Personality: Ever since he was a child Masato has been the first to leap into a dangerous situation without really considering the consequences. This is not to say he isn't intelligent, in fact, Masato possesses a caliber of intellect rarely seen in boys his age. Whether he decides to use to or not is a totally different matter. Likes: Sunshine, full moons, strong winds, rain storms. Dislikes: Large birds, beetles, carrots. ~Favorite~ -Food: Seal Stew -Color: Orange -Music Genre: Tribal -Book Genre: Mystery -Hangout: Inside a nook of one of the crystal towers in Tenkyoku. Remove all negative status effects from the character 2. Your next attack may not be dodged 3. Gain 10% of your Total Chakra Description: When a Ninja is taken down to their very last reserves, they will dig down deep and pull out just a little bit more, in desperation to continue fighting for all that they believe in. This phrase was coined by Uzumaki Naruto of Konoha, and its popularity has spread around to other Villages. Cost: -1 Restriction: May not be used in the same turn as 'Guts Pose!' or 'Hooray for the Big Boned People!' or 'Stroke of Genius!' Name: Glimpse of Divinity Bloodline: Tenshingan Cost: 0 (Must meet level requirements before using roll) Effect: Key to Naitekiwa Tenshingan Once per stat battle (no more than once per day), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a four, five, six, or seven in its digits, then they are awarded the Naitekiwa Tenshingan. During the turn that this is successful, the roller is inflicted with "Fazed" for two turns. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Key to Nakawa Tenshingan Once per stat battle (no more than once per two days), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a five, six, or seven in its digits, then they are awarded the Nakawa Tenshingan. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Key to Gaitekiwa Tenshingan Once per stat battle (no more than once per three days), this character may roll a D100. If the roll turns up any number with a six or seven in its digits, then they are awarded the Gaitekiwa Tenshingan. This skill cannot be used in the Practice Arena. Cost: -0 TEMPORARILY LOCKED Tenshingan Formation [1] Effect: The successful inheritant of the Naitekiwa Tenshingan may perform single elemental techniques as if they were sealless. Requirements: Requires 5 posts of training to be made before this may be used, -1 Tenshingan Plasma Generation [1] Effect: The taker of this skill may use Plasma, a tri-combination element consistent of wind+fire+lightning, jutsu without the need for Subtle Elements or Twisted Colors as long as the Tenshingan is active. -2 Tenshingan Formation Addendum Effect: Allows the taker of this bloodline skill to use Plasma jutsu seallessly through Tenshingan Formation. -1 Tenshingan Replication [1] Effect: When using a jutsu seallessly via the means of Tenshingan Formation, the inheritant may spend x chakra to allow themself a roll that will determine whether or not they may replicate the jutsu used, where X is equal to 1/4 the total cost of the jutsu. Upon paying this cost, the inheritant rolls a D10, and upon a roll of 1-3, the jutsu in question is replicated and therefore performed twice. The second jutsu performed in this manner deals only 1/10th of the original jutsu's base damage. Replicated jutsu do not allow for the stacking of nonstackable effects, nor may a jutsu with a usage limit of 2 or less per battle be replicated. When a replication roll is successful, modifiers are split between the base and secondary jutsu as if it were a multi-hit jutsu. Any stackable effects applied via the replicated jutsu may never add more than 1 additional turn of status, and may never exceed a status effect(Or jutsu)'s built in use limit. Replicated jutsu may not benefit from any cost-reducing effects. This effect may only be used twice per battle at gennin level, thrice at chuunin, four times at jounin, and five times at sennin rank. -1 Name: Scion of the Celestial Psyche Requirement: Naitekiwa Tenshingan Effect: * All plasma type Genjutsu have their cost reduced by 2 JP (To a minimum of one) all Ninjutsu and Nin/Tai hybrids have their JP cost doubled. Nin/Genjutsu hybrids do not have altered costs. * A shinobi with this skill may not learn Ninjutsu or Ninjutsu hybrid techniques (Nin/Tai, Nin/Gen) of any kind that are above their ninja rank ever. * A ninja with this skill may "seal" the maximum amount of Genjutsu techniques into their Tenshingan without suffering the penalties listed in "Tenshingan Jutsu Sealing". A shinobi with this skill may not seal Ninjutsu into their Tenshingan or replicate Ninjutsu with their Tenshingan. * When using Plasma Type Genjutsu the following clauses are added to all abilities: If a plasma type Genjutsu misses, 50% of the chakra cost is refunded. All ninjutsu cost 50% more chakra to use (This can break caps.) * For every 100 points of Genjutsu and for every 200 points of Concentration a shinobi with this skill has, their chance to land a critical hit is increased by 2% to a maximum of 20% Ninjutsu may never critically hit, any technique that is not plain Genjutsu (No hybrids) does not benefit from this increased critical chance. This increased critical chance does not stack with any other skills/jutsu/items that increase critical strike chance. Description: A very small number of Tenshingan wielders seem to be blessed a birth with an advanced understanding of Genjutsu, however, they appear to be cursed with almost total ineptitude with Ninjutsu. While the cause for this is unknown, these Shinobi have banded together in a group known as the Scions of the Celestial Psyche. When active, these members' Tenshingan take on a dramatically different form that most of their clansmen. Instead of a pale background, the optic tissue turns translucent, while the sun that comprises the iris of the eye crackles with a light purple hue, the signs of the zodiac that rotate around the iris also glow different colors to represent their celestial house. (Fire signs glow orange, Air signs green, Water signs blue, Earth signs yellow.) Cost: -3 Name: Path of the Warrior Effect: Gain 1 extra Jutsu Point every other level. Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Substitute Technique) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 10 Ninjutsu Description: A lifesaver, and a must-have technique. Other Jutsus: Name: Void Type: Insidious Whispers Type: Genjutsu Rank: Gennin Cost: 70 Damage: 20 Effects: Genjutsu damage taken by the target is increased by 10% for two turns. Description: By blanketing an area with their chakra, a shinobi can alter the flow of chakra to the eardrums and their corresponding neurons in the brain. This creates the illusion that strangers are whispering to the target. Telling them they will fail, all hope is lost, there is no way they can win etc... etc... While this technique only deals a minor amount of damage to the psyche it causes the target to become unnerved, rendering them more vulnerable to other Genjutsu based techniques. Points: 4 Name: Hari no Youkai (Phantom Needle) Type: Genjutsu (Seal less) Rank: Gennin Cost: 60 Damage: 4 Ghost Damage Effects: 35 Ghost Bleeding damage over 2 turns for a total of 70 Description: A genjutsu often used by gennin who are out of poisons, the user seemingly pulls a number of senbon needles out, and hurls them at their opponent.
