Kokketsu, or "The Black Blood", is a synthetic bloodline limit crafted by a long-since forgotten clan as a means to counter the growing forces of the shinobi nations. The introduction of Kokketsu into an entity causes a number of unique processes to occur within the human body- the foremost being a large tendency towards erratic behavior, and eventually, insanity. The Black Blood, once implemented into a person, behaves naturally in such a way that would not allow most traditional scientists to discern the difference between Kokketsu and normal blood, sans the notable trait of former red blood cells taking on a dark black hue. Naturally, due to the change of hue between Kokketsu blood cells and natural ones, the blood one one such patient turns the same deep black that their cells would imply.

Beyond aesthetics, Kokketsu imbues a patient with a very distinct trait of abilities- the first of which being the capacity to instantly harden their blood to reduce the impact of incoming injury. Further, the black blood- if spilled- is entirely controllable by the patient it originated from, including but not limited to the sudden shaping and hardening of the Kokketsu to make impromptu weaponry. Beyond the face value of these abilities, the progenitors of the black blood granted their patients a distinct advantage over other clan members- the capacity to form unique weapons from their blood. In some rare circumstances, the black blood grants limited regenerative capabilities to its wielder.


 

Kokketsu; Kyouka [The Black Blood; Solidify]


Description; The Black Blood possesses many unique traits in comparison to natural blood. Kyouka is less of an innate ability, and more of a consciously applied force. The wielder of The Black Blood may, at any time, command their blood to coagulate and harden, thus reinforcing their body and preventing oncoming damage.
Upkeep; 5% of the user's total stamina to activate, and then 5% of their total stamina as upkeep for every turn that Kokketsu is active. While Kokketsu is active, advanced regeneration pertaining to stamina is halted.
Ranks do -not- stack.

Partial Coagulation
Effect; While Kokketsu; Kyouka [Partial Coagulation] is "active", increase the user's defense by 2x, where x is equal to their level. This obeys standard Defense stat-addition rules, and x may never be lower than 20(is treated as 20 if anywhere below.) Additionally, bleed effects used upon the wielder of Kokketsu last 1 less turn, to a minimum of 1.

Solid Coagulation
Effect; While Kokketsu; Kyouka [solid Coagulation] is "active", increase the user's defense by 4x, where x is equal to their level. This obeys standard Defense stat-addition rules, and x may never be lower than 20(is treated as 20 if it is anywhere below.) Additionally, bleed effects used upon the wielder of Kokketsu last 2 less turns, to a minimum of 1.

Requirements; Must be level 20 or of Chuunin rank to take.

Total Coagulation
Effect; While Kokketsu; Kyouka [solid Coagulation] is "active", increase the user's defense by 6x, where x is equal to their level. This obeys standard Defense stat-addition rules, and x may never be lower than 20(is treated as 20 if it is anywhere below.) Additionally, bleed effects used upon the wielder of Kokketsu deal 20% less damage per turn.

Requirements; Must be level 40 or of Jounin rank to take.

Iron Blood
Effect; While Kokketsu; Kyouka [iron Blood] is "active", increase the user's defense by 8x, there x is equal to their level. This obeys standard Defense stat-addition rules, and x may never be lower than 20(is treated as 20 if it is anywhere below.) Additionally, bleed effects used upon the wielder of Kokketsu deal 40% less damage per turn. At this rank, Kokketsu; Kyouka costs 10% of the user's total stamina to activate, and then 5% per turn to upkeep.

Kokketsu; Buki no Ketsueki [The Black Blood; Blood Weapon]


Description; Perhaps the most prominent feature of Kokketsu: any wielder of The Black Blood may forge a weapon of their hardened blood. This weapon is unique to every wielder of The Black Blood.

Deadly Edge
Description; Weapons generated through the Black Blood are sharper than most conventional weapons, and thus, have gained notoriety for causing excessive bleeding in their targets.
Effect; Weapons generated through Black Blood-based clan or personal techniques now inflict an additional 10% of their damage done as bleed damage. This may not stack with any similar effects found in item attributes.

Infectious Wounds
Description; A lesser known quality of the Black Blood is that it is rather contagious. Any contact with the black blood in another's bloodstream can temporarily convert a number of their red blood cells into hostile black blood cells. This allows a wielder of the Black Blood to augment their attacks with an internal assault on the molecular level.
Effect; Each time an opponent is struck by a weapon or technique based on the Black Blood, the taker of this skill gains an additional 5% to critically strike against that target per rank in this skill. This effect lasts 3 turns, and may be refreshed only upon the 3rd turn of the effect. This may not stack with similar effects outside of Concentration or clan/personal techniques that specifically state that the modify this skill's critical strike increase. This ability may not, under any circumstances, stack with itself.

Extension of the Body
Description; Due to Black-Blood based weapons being generated through the wielder's own blood, they may wield the weapon far more efficiently than they would other weaponry.
Effect; For every rank in this skill, the cost to make a basic attack with a Black-Blood based weapon is reduced by 10%. Additionally, for every second rank in this skill, the cost to perform Black Blood weapon-based taijutsu is decreased by 10%. This may not stack with other similar effects.

Acclimation to Creation
Effect; Jutsu that form weapons based on the Black Blood cost 10% less chakra or stamina per rank in this skill. Bleed damage dealt through such jutsu may not be mitigated through this skill.

Kokketsu; Shouhisha no Tama [The Black Blood; Soul Eater]

Description; Perhaps the least known addendum to the Black Blood infusion experiments, the wielders of Kokketsu have shown the potential to consume the chakra of those they attack simply by touching them with their kokketsu-generated weapon. This ability was originally named "Soul Eater" due to the pre-rokkudo clan's lack of knowledge about Ninjutsu and how it functioned. This feature, while named such, was not actually developed and added into the Kokketsu after the advent of the modern shinobi. This ability was implemented originally by simply implanting the notion within a subject that they needed to consume the chakra of their enemies to survive. Then, aided by the adaptability of the Black Blood, the subject evolved in such a way that allowed his blood to simply absorb an opponent's chakra through a methods similar to osmosis.

Minor Consumption
Effect; Whenever an opponent is successfully struck by an attack utilizing the weapon generated through a Black Blood based technique, they take an additional 5% of the damage done as chakra damage. Chakra damage done in this manner is restored to the user of the attack, though it may never generate more chakra than stamina was spent to make the attack. In the case of this applying to taijutsu or taijutsu hybrid techniques, this may never absorb more than an amount of chakra equal to the Kokketsu wielder's weapon level. This applies only to total direct damage, not any subsequent periodic damage(bleeding, etc.)

I'm a little wary about just giving out weapons for free to members with this bloodline. I think that there should be a quest or training requirement involved before the next rank of blood weapon are taken.

Weapon formation sounds more like a jutsu, like the Kaguya NPC I made for Fang. He made a bone sword and then I used another jutsu/item or some kind of thing to transform it into something better. I would rather that than it in a skill. That way it can be properly paid for, you know?
