Ravage Nocturne Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Kaehade: Shouheki (変え膚: 墻壁; Evolving Skin: Barrier) Requirement: Seal #161 Unlocked Type: Clan Ninjutsu Rank: Chuunin Cost: 80 Chakra Damage: N/A Effect: Reduces incoming Taijutsu and Ninjutsu technique damage by 100. In the case of multi-attack, divide and apply this reduction by as many attacks made. Basic and weapon attacks are not affected by this technique. Character is deprived of Main Phase action, and this jutsu may be used no more than twice per battle Description: The Nankan manifest many of their talents through the manipulation of their skin, and as such are capable of crafting impressive displays of power from within. This particular Ninjutsu floods the skin with soft green coloration as Chakra flows beneath it, transforming the natural texture into a scaled pattern. While physically struck, this unique texture divides sources of pressure throughout the rigid pattern to help soften the impact of an attack. It is through this cushion that the Nankan are able to withstand offensive onslaught with relative ease Points: -3 (-2 Nankan; -1 Total) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kaehade: Shinkutate (変え膚: 真紅楯; Evolving Skin: Scarlet Escutcheon) Requirement: Seal #161 Unlocked Type: Clan Ninjutsu Rank: Chuunin Cost: 96 Chakra, 77 Chakra to repair Damage: N/A Effect: This Ninjutsu is used in the Main Phase. Creates an structure with 120 Health that exists until destroyed. Any attacks made towards the character automatically strike this construct, although damage exceeding the health of this structure will spill over to the character. May 'repair' this shield for 77 Chakra during the Set-Up Phase if desired Description: This technique allows the Nankan to submerge their skin beneath a veil of Chakra, emitting a soft crimson hue. Although faint, it is possible to detect this apparition with the visible eye, brightening considerably when touched. This shield of Chakra serves as a physical manifestation of raw energy, and hardens immediately when foreign energies come into contact. The Nankan's skin itself transforms into a disc-pattern to further absorb hostile sensations of pressure, making it an effective defensive tool Points: -4 (-2 Nankan; -2 Total) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kaehade: Shirokaizai (変え膚: 白介在; Evolving Skin: White Intervention) Requirement: Seal #161 Unlocked Type: Clan Ninjutsu Rank: Chuunin Cost: X Chakra (to a maximum of 120) Damage: N/A Effect: X is equal to the cost of an incoming Taijutsu or Ninjutsu technique. Negate the damage and effects of an incoming Taijutsu or Ninjutsu technique. Character is deprived of Main Phase and Set-Up Phase action, and this jutsu may be used no more than twice per battle. This technique may only negate Chuunin rank jutsu or lower. 5% Chance to fail Description: This peculiar Ninjutsu serves as an evasive procedure to rescue the Nankan from certain harm. The skin glows soft white as Chakra is gathered, and gently evaporates as a fine mist around them. The moment this mist receives contact through biological means or detects foreign energy signatures, the area trespassed releases a blast of energy, propelling the Nankan from harm's way. This technique, though effective, tends to appear quite humorous as a Nankan is sent quite literally flying away from an offensive gesture, many times as surprised as their opponent Points: -4 (-2 Nankan; -2 Total) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edited October 25, 2011 by Ravage Nocturne
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 White intervention needs a fail chance.
Ravage Nocturne Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Added! My memory betrays me when it comes to adding implied things, sorry
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Countering/Response Phase Jutsu When using a Counter Response Phase technique there are several drawbacks depending on your rank (listed below). Gennin - Loss of Setup Phase - Loss of Main Phase Chuunin - Loss of Setup Phase (circumstantial) - Loss of Main Phase Jounin - Loss of Main Phase Sennin - Loss of Main Phase (rarely circumstantial) I'm okay with the first one allowing a setup phase because it's just a static reduction, White Intervention needs to prevent setup-phase action.
Ravage Nocturne Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Totally overlooked that, derp. Added as suggested.
Warr Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Skittles' apps still stand because I told Brad to clarify X for clarities sake. Approved.
