Axiom of the Blind Fool (Kouri no Buraindo Baka 盲目のばかの原理)

Type: Genjutsu (Personal: Alchem Syaoran)

Rank: Jounin

Cost: 100 + (20 + x) Chakra per turn. (Max of 5 turns)

Damage: n/a

Effects:

-- Ghost Damage caused via Genjutsu is reduced by 'x' this turn. The value of 'x' may never exceed 360.

-- Stat reduction and status effects caused by Genjutsu last one (1) turn less on the user, to a minimum of one (1) turn.

-- Does not effect Genjutsu higher than Jounin rank.

-- The upkeep for this technique is paid for at the start of the Response Phase.

-- If a total of 380 or more Chakra is spent on this jutsu, the jutsu ends at the end of the next Phase.

Description: Through painfully obvious simplicity, Alchem Syaoran has found with his new talent in Genjutsu that if he casts a Genjutsu on himself that causes him to perceive the events on the battle field as they are, Genjutsu techniques of his opponents have a much lesser effect. Any techniques that are currently inflicted upon him are overwritten by his Genjutsu. Even if another Genjutsu is force upon him it gets overwritten by his own in a matter of moments as he continually stutters the chakra feedback field of his circulatory system.

At first I was like "Hm, okay." but the more I like it the more I'm like "Mer, this is janky."

It's like a barrier or a shield that's used in the Main Phase, but it's auto-reactive, so you get to choose just how much chakra you want to use each turn to negate. We've only got one other example of something like that that I know of, and it's a main site technique.

Can negate 100% of the ghost damage?

Unlike a normal barrier, which can be destroyed, this lasts until you decide to bust your cap (and I'm assuming the 5 turn Genjutsu limit applies.) Because it has such a duration, I'd feel a lot better about this if each time you tried to negate Ghost Damage you had a fail chance like current RPJ's.

Some kind of offensive limitation would be nice. When a barrier is erected now the user can only use ninjutsu of the same element, and their attack modifiers are reduced by 50%.

Reduce the maximum amount of chakra that can be spent on each one to 280 and 700. I think 100 DP is reasonable for reducing all stat reduction and effects by 1 turn. This'll make me feel like it doesn't break the caps.

I think those are all my big concerns.
