Effect: You gain +760 Defense against (one chosen Taijutsu Style) damage. This is a triggered effect. Does not stack with Segmented Resistance, Segmented Defense, or Segmented Reinforcement. Requirements: Segmented Defense Cost: 350 So! This is Chakra Resistance/Elemental Resistance... but for Taijutsu! The costs on Segmented Resistance are lower then Elemental Resistance due to the fact that Taijutsu styles, unlike Elements, do not necessarily build into each other. So while Element Shield: Lightning would still be 50% effective, Segmented Defense would have 0 effect on Desert Aikido if you had Lotus indicated, for example. Cellar Door Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) Lol. You're weird. These are weird. Approved.Edit: Seems to me like the inlays should give protection from weapons and basic attacks to a degree... but that might just be the logic in me going "It's fuckin' adamantine armor!" Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 22, 2015 Author Posted October 22, 2015 Added basic attacks. I haven't included weapons in this as weapon attacks are a distinctive and different type of attack/damage. I'm thinking of a fair way to make an similar attribute for weapons, but it's taking a bit more thought due to the very limited source of Base Damage that weapons have available, especially at end game.
Cellar Door Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Fair point. Though, these are really mods vs mods.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Kinda. There's no triggered + damage mods abilities, so these(and their ninjutsu cousins) can really cut into base damage if your offensive stats are at all lacking.
