Prophet Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 (edited) Name: Lightning Type: Lightning Rod Type: Ninjutsu Requirements: Must have my express permission. Rank: Gennin Cost: 10 Chakra per senbon {Max 60} Damage: 10 per senbon {Max 60} Effects: n/a Description: In order to use this technique, the user must have connected with at least 2 senbon previous to this technique. Using this technique, the ninja can channel electrical energy into the senbon lodged in his opponent, using them as conductors. Name: Mist/Lightning Type: Thunder Strike Type: Ninjutsu Requirements: Twisted Colors skill, Hidden Mist Skill, and my permission again Rank: Gennin Cost: 80 Chakra Damage: 10 Effects: Distracted for 2 turns, A.O.E. *excludes user* Description: This technique can only be used if either the Hidden Mist technique or the Heavy Mist technique is in play. The user releases a sudden burst of chakra into the air, electrifying the fog. The sudden shock combined with the loud rumble of thunder causes it's victims to see spots for a few moments afterwards. The user, being used to the effects via extensive training, is completely immune to the damage and the effects. Name: Lightning Type: Homing Beacon Type: Ninjutsu Requirements: my permission again Rank: Gennin Cost: 50 Chakra to start, upkeep of 5 every turn following Damage: n/a Effects: n/a Description: By focusing their chakra into an electro-magnetic pulse, the shinobi is able to temporarily magnetize their opponent, making it easier to hit them with ranged attacks made using metal weapons. In game terms, you gain +10% to your accuracy at first, then an additional 1% for each attack that connects up to a combined total of 25% This is explained by the more magnetic weapons you pile together, the stronger their magnetic atrraction. Rei Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 (edited) Lightning Type: Rhystic Shock: Taijustu roughly translated as the art of hand-to-hand combat, which makes it impossible for a needle to become the medium for such arts. Moreover, not all taijustu is preformed with the hands so get your facts right. Twisted Color Techs? Which elements are mixed? I always wondered why I never saw anybody else using their weapons in this manner. Because's it's a waste of weaponary. Edited February 20, 2006 by Rei
Prophet Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 (edited) Okay, a couple points of clarification then. First of all, it's called Twisted Color because I'm a mist-nin and so I put the title like that for my own reference as these tehniques are for my charcter only thus far and lightning techs are cloud-nin. Secondly, I was thinking it would be obvious that I would have to RP the Taijutsu attacks as punches/thrusts with my hands, therefore making these technique applicable. Thirdly, Lightning Type: Rhystic Shock was designed with the idea in mind that it would allow the character to utilize his senbon as hand-to-hand weapons, kinda like punching daggers....only meaner. Thus he could make use of any ranks in Warrior: Senbon to help improve the damge further. My character is very dedicated to his senbon and so it would only make sense to him to use them in close-quaters combat as well as ranged. Edited February 20, 2006 by Prophet
Rei Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 (edited) First of all, it's called Twisted Color because I'm a mist-nin and so I put the title like that for my own reference as these tehniques are for my charcter only thus far and lightning techs are cloud-nin. Tiwsted Colours mixes two justu of different elment, uless youre going to do that there's no reason to bill it as a Twisted Color Techs. Secondly, I was thinking it would be obvious that I would have to RP the Taijutsu attacks as punches/thrusts with my hands, therefore making these technique applicable. If the needle is used as a medium said justu could only be done with the needles not taijustu. Moreover, this would still only apply to taijustu that utilize the hands which is half of them. Thirdly, Lightning Type: Rhystic Shock was designed with the idea in mind that it would allow the character to utilize his senbon as hand-to-hand weapons, kinda like punching daggers....only meaner. Did you state that clearly? No. Instead you said increase their damage caused by taijustu instead of makings clear. Edited February 20, 2006 by Rei
Prophet Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Again, it was billed that simply for my own reference. If it bugs you that much just ignore the bill then. Sheesh, I didn't realize I'd get cracked for it. Okay, I'll drop the Rhystic Shock tech for now and submit it later after detailing it some more. Can I get an approval for the Lightning Rod Jutsu then?
Rei Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 *sigh* If you bill a justu the wrong way it tends to annoy and confuse people, which it's done to me. Your justu is decent, nothing special or original I'm sure it will be approved.
Prophet Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Actually the reason I billed it like that was because I had originally planned on making more jutsus to put here but couldn't get them to balance, then i forgot to change the name. *sheepish grin* Sorry for the mix-up. I will re-post the other jutsus soon.
Prophet Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Added a new tech to the list, check it out for approval.
Tantan Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Alright first off. NEVER TRIPLE POST, double posting is also not allowed, just edit your previous post. Now that that is clear, lets take a look at the jutsu. Lightning rod. So for this tech the max you can do is 6 senbon basically. NOw i have a question. For this technique do you add the damage ON TOP of throwing the senbon? Or is that the only damage. Thunder strike: Looks all right i suppose. appro
Prophet Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 no. You can only use this technique AFTER you have already hit them with senbon, assuming they do not spend a phase pulling them out....you need at least 2 in them to start and then you can just keep throwing more at them and using the tech utilizing the new senbon. Thus you do not break the damage cap.
Tantan Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 i see so senbons are in them in turn 1, turn two you use this tech? IF that is how it is i approve.
Prophet Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Exactly. Otherwise this would be a horribly broken and confusing technique. As it is, it adds a little fun to using needles and fleshes out my character more.
Prophet Posted February 23, 2006 Author Posted February 23, 2006 (edited) Sorry for the double posting, but just so you guys know, I added another tech, the Homing Beacon jutsu. Also....BUMPY NO JUTSU!!! I'll try to not add so many techs under this thread from now on. Just to make sure, I am sitting at one approval for the Lightning Rod jutsu and one for Thunder Strike. I'm still looking for more people....The sooner the better because I finally have a sensei and will need these techs ready to go before i level up. Edited February 24, 2006 by Prophet
Arashi Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I really like them, they make the needles, probably the weakest weapons in the game, really dangerous. Bump up Homing bacons cost to 50. Everything from "In term of..." would be in the effect and not in the describtion. Change that and you have my Approval
