Lumberjack Gang

Tetsuo, an animal and exploration expert has been known for his outlandish personality and fondness of nature. Protecting mother nature is in his DNA, this green thumbed boy accidentally found a member of the tree cutting gang known as the Lumberjacks disrupting a local wildlife preservation. Their leader, Keanu, a hard looking individual who has practically only wears flannel shirts will let no one stop him and his group of misfits from chopping down all the trees.

To some, 'drugs' though he hated the name it had been given by society, acid/LSD and the psychedelic substances that he liked to experiment with gave him a way of opening his eyes up to what was going on around them, that he wouldn't regularly be able to see otherwise. It was almost like reading between the lines of life in a sense. He was definitely of the mindset that the world they live in needs to be protected from itself, from humanity really, so when he got word of a local gang tearing down parts of the nearby forest, the so called lumberjack gang, he took it upon himself to bring justice for the forest, since no one else would. Having finally tracked the movements of the lumberjack gang, Tetsuo had been able to isolate their leader from the rest of the minions who had gone off on the latest 'reclamation project' Tetsuo felt it was the best time for him to act, moving in on the gangs camp, he was confronted by a very tall orange haired man, a white and gold plaid shirt was upon his person, which was the rumors of the gangs leader, this must be him. 

 

"Oi, you think you can cut down all these beautiful trees and no one would stop you? No one else may have been willing to try, but when no one else will, I will speak for, and take vengeance for the trees that you so needlessly cut down. Shall we settle this the old fashioned way? Winner is the one who walks away still breathing. How bout it eh?"

Description: An over-vest worn by Shinobi of the Chunnin rank. Tetsuo had his modified to have all black material and thread used throughout, being more of an assassin style shinobi, being able to blend in with the shadows was a handy trick when surprise attacking an enemy, the last thing he needed was a bright orange neon like sign saying where he is at all times. Usability over aesthetic.

The loud thunking sound of metal blade on wood resonated through the forest like an echoing clock, massive and devastating. On a massive tree stump sat a man, large a muscular beneath a flannel jacket of white and gold. His chest rippled as he stretched, a deep laugh coming out as he watched his men slay the trees of this forest one by one. The thrill of it, each cut coming closer and closer until the final cracking, and then CRASH it all came down. He didn't care about the ramifications, but he loved the thrill of the cut, the competition between the members of a gang. To say that he was the leader was not exactly true, he was just the alpha. They were a competitive group that sought to cut down lumber the fastest. The art of felling a tree was like none other. 

 

It was mid day, the lumberjack gang members having just taken off towards the next clearing while their alpha stayed behind, resting on the stump of a massive tree that they had taken this morning. The trunk lay on the ground, having crashed and destroyed three other trees on its way down. The fresh smell of lumber in the air invigorated Keanu, it reminded him of the thrill they had just finished and the ones to come later today. That was until someone approached from the woods, squaring up for a fight it seemed. 

 

This was a new and welcome rush.

The man stood, flexing as he did. Not only did he have a mess of orange hair, but he also sported a thick orange beard that covered his jaw. 

 

"Hey, hey. Ya'll don't get to back out'ta this when ya end up havin' a duck fit. I been

runnin' all over hell's half acre to find somethin' fun, and it just falls out of th ol' blue sky

As Tetsuo approached the tree slayer, he was sitting atop one of the trunks of the likely freshly cut down Goliath of a pine tree that looks like it crashed to the ground behind the massive stump, that must have been the loud thud that seemed to shake the ground around him even when he was half a mile away, it only made it easier for him to track down the location of the disturbance to mother nature. And then something even more unexpected based upon his appearance, normally Tetsuo wasn't one to judge based solely upon appearance alone, but in this case he may have to make an exception, the man seemed to be speaking in some kind of slang filled broken english, using so many metaphors he had lost track of what it was the orange haired tall man was trying to convey, 'mix sugar? Was that a euphemism for throw down? Scrap? Knuckle Dusting? But Mix Sugar? That was certainly a first.' One of his eyebrows raised at the strange mans tongue, since he had finally stopped talking it was apparently Tetsuos turn to respond, though he was a man of few words, and most of the time would much rather let his blades do the talking for him. 

 

"Back out of what exactly? Not even sure where back out is coming from, am I not standing before you right now? Let me make it a bit more clear for you I suppose." His hands went behind his back to the handles of his twin swords, unsheathing them from their X like formation on his back, that sound of the metal being pulled from the swords sheathes was like music to his ears, it was a sign that there was work to be done. Gakiyume chimed in from his subconscious, 'Oi, Tetsuo, dont take this guy lightly, it feels like hes got some considerable strength hidden beneath that flesh sack. This may be the perfect time to field test the technique we have been perfecting over the past few months dont you think?' 

 

'You may be onto something there my friend, We havent used the Afterimage clones in battle though, I may need some emergency chakra depending on just how right you were about him being a formiddable opponent. Theres a level of arrogance that only comes with power, and hes definitely giving me that vibe.'

 

'Time to go to work Tetsuo, kick the shit out of him, I havent tasted fear in far too long.'

 

'You got it bud, one steaming plate of terror comin up!'

 

Gathering chakra and moving it through his circulatory system until it was all gathered in one spot, he released his technique, all those months of perfecting being able to use jutsus without the need to perform hand seals was going to start to pay dividends in this fight, the problem of not being able to seal off techniques while he held his blades had been solved, now it was time to test the limits of his abilities.

Description: With the naturally aligned wind chakra of the blade, the wielder of this weapon can call utilize their chakra to call upon buffets of wind to assail the opponent from the back or flanks, leaving them open for a powerful attack.

Description: Aregari is aqua-colored, with various hints of teal throughout its greenish tone. Its grip is a darker color than the rest of the blade and is completely straight. It leads up to a hilt that is exactly perpendicular to the grip and is designed to look like a pair of conjoined dagger blades. At the center of the guard is a large aquamarine gem. The blade itself is a deep aqua color, the base of the blade has a light-aqua attachment that causes the blade to have a natural indentation when one traces its length due to the angle that the attachment bends at. The blade was created with an extremely strong infusion of wind-natured chakra, and one can almost feel a breeze rolling off the weapon when close to it, this combined with the strategically placed holes within the hilt and bottom of the blade itself allows for the potential for strong wind based techniques being channeled through the blade itself as a catalyst.

Description: It is the duty of the Saibankan to weed the guilty from the innocent, and to these people it is especially fierce. The black blade cuts deeper and harder than anything else when it cuts into a body that has been deemed fit for death.
Earthly Verdict; Innocent - This ability may be activated in the Set-Up phase. The wielder’s next attack is treated as if it also afflicted the status effect ‘Destroy Item’. This attribute may not be utilized during the same battle as the attribute ‘Heavenly Verdict; Guilty. This attribute may be activated once per battle.
Description: As eagerly as Saibankan culls the guilty, it defends the innocent, and it is said that Saibankan can strike through the the innocent, and cut off every piece of clothing they wear before it could cut their skin, becoming intangible on them.
 
Description: Saibankan is a pitch black sword with trims of gray and is evenly balanced and quite powerful. It has a black handle connected to a hand guard that drops down on the right side. Attached to this elongated area of the hand-guard is part of Saibankan's obsidian blade so as to better aid the user in retaining their grip on the sword when it is being used. The blade is completely black like the rest of the sword and the said blade is outlined in a light gray. A black steel forged chain hangs from the base of the hilt of the blade, its rattling can be heard with each of its users movements.

Effect: When determining the cost of this technique ‘x’ is considered to be the number of ‘Afterimage Clones’ created by the user and may never be greater than 5. ‘Afterimage Clones’ have 100 Health, 10% of the user’s Chakra and Stamina, and 50% of the user’s other statistics. ‘Afterimage Clones’ may not use techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique may choose to treat any Main Phase Action belonging to an ‘Afterimage Clone’ as if it was their Main Phase Action. (Using all of their own statistics, skills, equipment, etc) When using a clone’s Main Phase in this manner, the user’s attacks are treated as if they were Dynamic Traps with their conditions already met (with this technique being considered the trap for the purposes of diminishing 'to-hit' bonuses). The user must skip their next Main Phase action when this effect is used. This effect may be used 1 time per clone. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle.
Description: Even the most basic jutsu can be made powerful in the hands of a skilled practitioner. Zanzō Bunshin is a technique that is only available to the most adept users of the Body Flicker Technique, and not only must they be skilled in the usage of that technique, but they must have incredibly fast natural reaction times to be able to effectively perform it. Though this jutsu is essentially just a specific usage of Shunshin no Jutsu, it serves as a powerful trap for opponents. By moving at incredibly high speed, the user is capable of switching places between fixed points on the battlefield so rapidly that it appears as if multiple versions of the user are present on the battlefield. Any attack on these afterimages reveals them to be intangible, but because of how rapidly the user is capable of moving between them, they are able to make devastating sneak attacks by stopping at the points where an afterimage appeared to be an striking unexpectedly. Because these clones are created by the user's movement, they are also exceptionally useful for infiltration, allowing the user to appear in multiple places without alerting sensor ninja to their presence.

Description: A dangerous yet powerful sealing method in which the ninja has the deep knowledge and ability to shape chakra imprinted into the base of their skull. The ninja is given a small seal on their occipital lobe, often beneath the hair where it is not visible. With the seal the ninja is able to shape chakra without the need of hand seals, having such intrinsic knowledge of all possible seals at the forefront of their mind. Many ninja that have gone through the operation to obtain this seal claim that closing their eyes briefly helps them see the seals and preform them. This is, however, unnecessary. Due to the location and nature of this seal, it often results in dangerous side effects that many opt to not risk.
Effect: All Ninjutsu and Genjutsu preformed by this character are considered to be Seal-less and never require the use of the hands. When a character takes this skill they lose 1000 EXP. EXP lost this way does not cause the character to lose levels.

The man didn't seem at all surprised by the appearance of more of his opponent. Instead, he simply flexed, his muscles showing through his flannel shirt as he channeled his chakra. To the opponent there would be no change, but he coated himself in an invisible layer of Chakra that acted as a second skin of steel around his body. He grinned.

Description: The Nankan have within them the natural ability to manipulate the textures of their skin, providing unique characteristics for a given scenario. When struck physically, a flash of blue will outline the scale-pattern as the Chakra-fed skin helps dampen the impact of a physical blow. Primarily useful in situations where a Nankan is exposed to excessive trauma, this skin cushions strikes effectively due to the concentrated Chakra that feeds into the skin.

The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle. 
Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshinjutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.

Tetsuo's clones continued to speed around the area, ensuring that his opponent would not be able to keep track of the original even if he somehow managed to activate an ocular bloodline ability like the sharingan or byakugan, short of that he doubted that his enemy was able to keep track of the original with the other five and Tetsuo himself included were capitalizing on their agility and looking for a potential opening, which they hadn't come up with as of yet.

The way this guy talked was far too distracting for Tetsuo as it were, but then when he added clones of his own into the mix, it only worsened the issue even further, granted they were just bunshin's from the seals he was using and assuming he read his lips and heard him correctly, so they should be easily taken down; his true focus was on the real adversary, his actual target. Wasting no time, wanting to capitalize on his agility and use the potential opening that he could see if his enemy reacted the way he thought he might, this was the time that all that training he did perfecting the ability to use ninjutsu techniques without the need for hand seals was going to pay dividends, there was a good chance he wouldn't even see it coming since there were no hand seals involved, that was usually the downfall and give away of the technique, the hand seals were in a very distinct order. 

 

'Oi Tetsuo, dont mess with this guy too much, he is like a walking chakra repository, based on the feeling I'm getting, dont bet everything on being able to exhaust him, I dont think that plans going to be viable at all with this one, though I have a sinking feeling you already know what you need to do dont you?'

 

'Pffft, come on man, course I do! Largely thanks to the help you gave me on our last sabbatical, really seems to have made a difference, though this will be the true test, I think I have enough agility to dodge a potential counter assault should this go wrong, but by combining the temporary paralysis technique in tandem with that new move we were working on, assuming paralysis is successful he should be vulnerable enough to nuke him as quickly as possible, keep your chakra at the ready, we may be doing this rather suddenly.'

Chakra at the ready, Tetsuo charged on his opponent, his after image clones bolting around behind him in an effort to distract his enemy enough to get off his two planned moves, seeing a potential opportunity he went for it, releasing the chakra needed for the paralysis technique, and then readying the chakra for the secondary assault, he needed to time this perfectly though or it could wind up with him in a bit of a sticky situation.

Hohō | Stepping Method [Taijutsu Style] | 歩法
Description: Hohō, or Stepping Method, is a movement technique developed by Hayashi Tetsuo, which allows him to move faster than the average person for his height is capable of achieving. The focal point which determines the basis of this technique is speed, which is the main purpose of this sword based fighting style; This fighting style is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps to be able to deliver a blow with their blades. By manipulating lightning based chakra on his feet Tetsuo is able to give himself a significant boost in speed at the right moment to either dodge attacks or better position himself for an counter onslaught.
Effect: Allows for the accumulation of “Flash” charges. A Flash charge is generated whenever a non-technique Weapon Attack performed with a Sword-type weapon successfully strikes its target, or a Hohō technique successfully strikes its target. A Flash charge is lost whenever this character has their speed reduced. Flash charges are utilized in the following ways:
-Flash charges may be spent in the Response Phase, as a free action, before any action is taken. Spending Flash charges in this way increases this character’s chance to Dodge by 5X%, where X is equal to the number of Flash Charges spent.

Description: A dangerous yet powerful sealing method in which the ninja has the deep knowledge and ability to shape chakra imprinted into the base of their skull. With the seal the ninja is able to shape chakra without the need of hand seals, having such intrinsic knowledge of all possible seals at the forefront of their mind. Many ninja that have gone through the operation to obtain this seal claim that closing their eyes briefly helps them see the seals and preform them. This is, however, unnecessary. Due to the location and nature of this seal, it often results in dangerous side effects that many opt to not risk.
Effect: All Ninjutsu and Genjutsu preformed by this character are considered to be Seal-less and never require the use of the hands. When a character takes this skill they lose 1000 EXP. EXP lost this way does not cause the character to lose levels.

Keanu raised an eyebrow as the man gathered his chakra, condensing it and forming a massive maw of a dragon in front of him. Then he let out a low whistle. That was new. The lumberjack dove out of the way as it barreled down on him, tearing up the soil as it missed. He wondered for a moment why a tree loving man such as this would have such destructive forces at his beck and call. Unfortunately, Keanu didn't get much time to ponder that thought further as he turned and looked up, his body seizing up suddenly.

'Now thats what I am talking about, finally hit the prick and with the paralysis technique no less, now is when the fun begins.'

 

As soon as Tetsuo caught a glimpse of his plan falling into place, he knew then and there that the gauntlet must be thrown down now while he had a potential opening, mustering up some of the chakra Gakiyume had been stock piling, he released his first lock on the fear eaters power. It shot through his veins as if his blood were on fire, or had been replaced with nothing but pure adrenaline. If he timed this just right, he could really turn the tables on this battle. Now he just needed to focus, wasting no more time the soles of his feet had already been augmented by some of his chakra, giving him so much agility it was almost as if he had created more after image clones; when in reality it was merely the speed he was moving at. Twin swords clutched in his hands, he charged his opponent channeling lightning chakra into the blades of his twin swords, the lightning cackled and cracked as the metal blade became a lightning rod, Tetsuo saw his opening and made his move, his swords cut through the air giving off that trademark sound when steel permeated wind, he didn't have the time to see if his first attack had succeeded if he wanted the second too, doing a quick back flip over his paralyzed opponent, he reversed his blades and unleashed the real monster, himself. His body was giving off a deep purple hue, it was like his chakra had taken the form of a giant skull, he wasn't the fear eater just for the fun name after all.

The Gakiyume is an old classification of Yokai, rumored to have been spawned as soon as the first humans experienced terror. It is a sickly creature that is drawn to all nearby sources of fear, as it sustains itself by draining the terror out of others. Weak Gakiyume are known only to cause and revel in the fear of living creatures it is nearby, whereas stronger variants have been known to drain the life-force out of a weak creature or human alongside their terror. They are primarily solitary creatures, opting to dwell near graveyards or abandoned houses. As most Gakiyume are small and quite weak, they sustain themselves primarily on the supersitions of young children, using the shapeshifting ability of all Yokai to stimulate ghost-stories over several generations, giving them the ability to feed each year as children undergo a rite of passage by confronting their own fears. Gakiyume who have grown too large or strong tend to leave such areas, as the fears of children are not as potent as those of fully grown humans. They are particularly attracted to shinobi battle-grounds, opting to slowly leech off of the final moments of dying ninja. Few Gakiyume have become openly aggressive against humans, though after their recent mass-exodus from Kusagakure's seals, the stronger Gakiyume have taken pleasure in outright causing the fear of death, and eventual death, of shinobi of sufficient strength. A fully materialized Gakiyume with the strength to outright do combat with a strong shinobi generally stands around fifteen to twenty feet tall and is estimated to weigh around six to eight hundred pounds. Those who have encountered them in combat before know to fight first their own fear then worry about the deadly claws at the end of each yokai's hands.

The Thirst

Tetsuo would come crashing down on the flannel wearing man, lightning and chakra and blades striking one after another after another in quick succession. Keanu was unable to get out of the way of the first one, his blood chilling as the psychological effects of the attack took hold. He grunted as the blades flashed, his skin flickering with each hit as the invisible shield became bright blue when contact was made before fading once more. Dust flew up, encapsulating the small clearing that they fought in. As the dust settled Keanu stood in the same place, lowering the hands he had raised to protect himself from the blade, smoke trailing off him. His flannel had been knocked off, shredded in the attack and discarded on the ground where scraps of gold and orange could be seen. But... he was... wearing another flannel UNDERNEATH the first?! This new one that had been hidden was grey and red. He looked at Tetsuo, apparently no worse for the wear after his two attacks, and he had a SHIT EATING cocksure grin on his face. 

 

"Bless your heart, was that a warm up or ya' fixin' to mind your manners now?"

 

As tough as his words were, his voice wavered. The man he faced was fast. VERY fast. And that chakra, those eyes, for a tree hugging hippy he sure was straight terrifying. How could someone like this love nature enough to kill for it? Or was that all just a ruse to pick fights? Keanu wasn't sure anymore, and he wanted almost nothing else to run. If it was not for his pride, he might have just done that and turned tail.

'Shit that is coming way too quickly,' glad that he already had chakra on the soles of his feet, it made the body flicker technique easier to execute, but unfortunately for Tetsuo he had misjudged the projectiles velocity, it was moving much quicker than it had intiially appeared, and he wasnt quite sure what element it was, but whatever it was it was something that he did not want to get hit with, it looked like powered up lightning. At the last second he realized his body flicker hadnt had the effect he desired, thankfully though he managed to get out of the way at the last second, o rhe may have been fried by whatever that thing was. 

 

To say that this target was starting to push his buttons, wouldnt be doing it enough justice in this guy's case; Tetsuo's want to eviscerate him was steadily rising with each passing minute. How the hell was he able to take such direct hits from his moves and seem to feel it as hard as someone may feel pain from a paper ball being chucked at them. The same techniques that he had used time and time again to reduce his enemies to cowering terrified sometimes psychologically disturbed; with just a single or sometimes for the truly formidable enemy two to three, but he had never had such a small effect with this move until now. His self confidence wavered as a result, and he began questioning himself and his abilities and whether or not they would be able to get the job done, his trusty twin swords hadnt failed him yet, and he wasnt about to ruin a perfect record. 

 

It seemed it hadnt been enough, but landing the one technique he did would give him the potential upper hand that he needed to begin turning the tables of this fight back in his direction, seeing his opening, he grabbed one of green pills from his thigh pouch, quickly popping it into his mouth and cracking it open with his teeth before it was forced down to his stomach, almost feelings its effects in seconds, like as if someone had set his blood on fire, or had the gas pedal to his entire body slammed into the floor accelerating him as he had felt the effects of the body flicker technique fading away; it had hit him at a near perfect moment sinc eit kicked in ten seconds after he had begun to feel himself slowing. Which in this fight he couldnt have, he needed to go faster, and land more attacks if necessary, if he was getting so little effect from them he simply needed to up the ante on the potency, and the quantity of his moves, that shot run pill combined with an old lightning technique that was a favorite of his, Synapse charge, it took no seals as it was D rank jutsu, just a tiny bit of his chakra was the only cost for the added icing on the cake that was his bodies current agility and evasiveness. 

 

"About as much as your 'fixing' to butcher the english language perhaps? I would rather let my actions do the talking."

 

Wasting no time, he readied chakra in his lungs as he shot several bullets of compressed air in Keanus direction, hopefully giving him the distraction that he needed to pull off the move he had devoted so much time and training to perfect the dragon of the darkness flame technique.

Tetsuo had moved so fast it may have looked like he had created more after image clones, when in reality it was just keanus eyes catching up to the speed that his body moved at, one second he was maybe twenty meters in front of the opponent, and the next in the blink of an eye combining chakra on the soles of his feet with the synapse charge and shot run pills effects he was like if someone had done several doses of medical grade speed, but with far more destructive capabilities considering the host. Oh yes, this could work.

Judges Ruling: The Bariasukin technique and other similar Nankan clan techniques have been deemed an Advanced System for the remainder of the tournament. The 'x' variable in the technique's effect has been capped at 100, to keep it's total value in-line with other advanced systems on a point for point basis. It does not halt Advanced Regeneration, and damage reduction benefits of those techniques are treated as if they were a straight Defense bonus.

ooc: This post has taken quite a lot longer than it should. When I asked you to double check your post I meant it. Please slow down so when I come to do my post I don't have to wait for corrections. Most of the changes you've already made, and thank you for that, but there are still a few more...
 

• Your Accuracy damage mod (at 40:5) is 170, not 175. 1375 / 40 = 34.375, which is 34 * 5 = 170.

• You don't mention the 500 Yokai Chakra in your normal technique information. I noticed it in your Loss Tag and then went back up and saw you mentioned in in the Critical damage, but not the normal damage. The next time this happens I will account it as user error and assume it was not used.

• Speaking of the Burning damage, it would be 160 per turn, not 240. Afraid; 4 = 80 CP & the bonus 500 Yokai Chakra gives another +80 for a total of 160.

• Also, make sure you get Dragon of Darkness Flame resubbed to use 'Afraid' instead of 'Fear' as that can be unclear.

Keanu was still feeling the effects of the lightning jutsu that had been used on him a few moments earlier. He flexed his fingers as he prepared for the next attack, seeing that his own had been easily dodged. His couldn't properly defend himself, but feeling was returning to his body. He just had to continue to hold out. Man was this guy scary though. Almost as if in sync with his though, the man flickered, disappearing as Keanu's eyes turned to try and follow him. He was so damn fast, Keanu didn't even see when he started firing the blasts of wind, the first one caught him by surprise, tearing at his shirt as it passed. He raised an arm, deflecting another as they broke across him. These attacks pierced his barrier skin, and he swore silently as the tore at him. Fortunately he was able to weather this attack even with the numbness in him.

 

"If ya'll actions talkin' they gonna need to speak up cuz' I ain't hearin' nothin'!"

 

Keanu made a tough show of it as the smoke cleared. His flannel shirt had been torn apart again, the grey and red fabric tossed aside. A sleeve remained, the man tearing it off and throwing it to the ground. A third flannel was underneath, this one blue and white. How many flannels was this man wearing?! Was this the secret to his power!!!? Keanu was still afraid of his opponent though, and the other ninja would quickly give him a reason why. Black fire and shadow erupted from his body, taking the shape of a dragon that came crashing towards him. Keanu's mind raced, catching the traces of the Ninjutsu and watching the way it moved. It shifted in a pattern, almost like the way lightning or wind would move as it traveled. At the last moment Keanu turned, pushing off the ground and dodging the attack as it crashed past him. He whistled softly. That was too fucking close.

Description: The Eta Carina is a precise combination of Lightning and Plasma chakra. In essence, the ability is a high speed projectile deliverance system that uses the ninja's body as a medium in which to transfer large amounts of force. The ninja, in short, can fire metal objects at three times the speed of sound by forming parallel currents on both sides of their arm with electricity. The Eta Carina has a muzzle velocity of 1030 meters per second, and can be fired at a rate of 8 shots per minute when preforming at peak ability.

His wind bullets had flied true towards his opponent, hitting him with a barrage of vaccuum packed compressed air, causing cuts to manifest on his foes skin, but his enemy was quick to react and send another plasma bolt in his direction. 

 

Tetsuo had no time to waste as he was facing another one of the mysterious talking red haired pretty jacked opponent, he was trying his best not to focus on that though, and more on the plasma bolt that was quickly coming right for him. His practice with the body flicker technique so much was really paying off in this fight, with some quick allocation of his chakra to the soles of his feet, and enough momentum to give him the agility he needed to avoid the attack, he was successful in dodging the blast once more. It was rare that someone was able to dodge the speed of his dragon twice, it was his limit for using the technique because of the damage it could cause him if he messed it up even a little; but if it hit the combination of that and the attack he had planned for after it; just on the off chance he managed to dodge it a second time, he would be hard pressed to dodge his Nightmare Yokai Dama. 

 

His skin glowed purple with Gakiyumes aura pouring into him, mixing with his own chakra as he readed his sequence of attacks, calling upon the dragon once more, it erupted from his fingertips charging for his enemy with lightning fast speed. 

 

"Impressive that you managed to skate the first one, I dont think you will be so lucky this time around. About as much as your 'fixing' to butcher the english language perhaps? I would rather let my actions do the talking."

Description: A controlled manifestation of Gakiyume, this technique is considered Hayashi Tetuo’s most powerful attack. The user of this technique releases the seal on their arm, allowing more of Gakiyume’s chakra to flow out of their body, creating a huge surge of dark chakra around them. This chakra takes the form a flickering, black dragon wreathed in dark flame-like chakra. The user then guides the dark flame dragon at the opponent with great speed. The attack hits with great force and causes extensive chakra burning across the opponent’s body, but because Gakiyume is a hateful creature, the user sustains heavy burning as well.

Keanu cursed as his plasma attack missed again. This guy was fast, and it was really freaking Keanu out. That was until he kind of stopped. The other man had said something... and it was... the same thing he had just said? Keanu paused, confusion passing over the bearded grizzly man's face. Had he heard that right? His ears were still ringing something fierce from the last round of attacks. 

 

"Didn't ya'll just say that?"

 

There was no time to get an answer, the man's aura swelled again and this time the dragon that he formed crashed into Keanu. His hearing was still recovering, and he was unable to move out of the way as black flames washed over him. His skin activated, soaking up a bunch of the brute force of the attack with a flash of blue chakra around his arms and chest, but he could feel the fire licking his limbs, leaving burns behind as his flannel was burned away. As the smoke cleared this time the last of the flannel burned away, revealing an orange and blue flannel now. On the breast just above the pocket was a weird orange swirl of some kind. Looked like some kind of emblem or logo.

And... wait, why wasn't Keanu terrified of this guy anymore? That was odd. The fear he had felt just a moment before was gone, along with the flames that had washed over him.

This guy was like a walking armor plated tank, never before had someone taken a direct hit from the dragon of darkness flame and still been standing afterwards, Tetsuo did take a bit of comfort in the grimace of pain on the mans face as he felt his flesh searing from the heat of the fire. At least he could be burned, Tetsuo also noted a trickle of blood running down his body from where the attack had hit, and bleed it seemed. Tetsuo did his best to hide the pain that he himself was feeling for using the technique twice now, his right arm felt as if it were on fire, but he was finally making progress in this fight, and couldnt stop now. It seemed that this plasma bolt was the only technique this guy knew how to use other than his barrier thing, at least Tetsuo was able to dodge it once more and hopefully get an opening that he could use to his advantage to deal some serious damage to this arrogant opponent.

 

"Worked this time around, didnt it? Comforting to know you can feel pain at least, lets push those boundaries shall we?"

 

Storm cutter glowed with his chakra as it was poured into the blade, using one of its hidden secrets, he was going to strike with it so fast his enemy may think it was like being hit with a bolt of lightning, the blade cackled and cracked as the thunderous electricity took hold of stormcutters edge, charging towards his enemy he prayed his blades would fly true as he swung them through the air, allocating enough chakra for this and his follow up, the royal flash of the hollow king, a perfect secondary attack to a weapon based onslaught.

Keanu did not see the next attack coming at all. The lightning slash came nearly out of no where, catching Keanu across the chest. His barrier flashed a bluish hint at the impact, minimalizing the damage of the blow. Unfortunately he felt that familiar fear creeping back in, and his limbs had gone slightly numb again. The man's eyes would catch the next attack, a blast of nothingness forming as he recovered from the first blow. He waited a moment and then turned to the side, sliding out of the way as the attack cut a swath of ground away from the clearing where he had stood a moment before.

Tetsuo had lost count of the number of times he had to use the body flicker technique against this guy, it was largely due to the fact that he had taken most of the shots he had fired at him and was still standing and using that same move over and over and over again, it was so tiresome to have to evade the same move again and again, at least it made dodging it a bit easier, though this time he had cut it a bit too close for his own comfort, a few of his hairs had been singed on his scalp because he dodged by mere inches this time. 

 

"Sadist? Perhaps, but if I am a sadist, you sir are certainly the definition of a masochist." 

 

He had yet to land a hit with this attack, but with his enemy fazed from his thundering slash a moment before, there was a better chance of it connecting this time around perhaps, he readied the necessary chakra on the tip of judgment, and unleashed a massive red beam from the tip of its blade, hopefully quick enough to catch Keanu off guard.

Keanu swore under his breath, he thought he had the tree hugger there for a second but he was able to dodge at the last moment. It was frustrating to say the least, he had not been able to hit the man at all yet. He readied himself for the next round of attacks, his stomach churning as he fought the flight reaction that he wanted to do. He was fine for a minute there when his head had cleared, but now he couldn't help but want to run away as fast as possible. Keanu appreciated somewhere deep down the man's retort to his sadist line, but he had no time to respond as the first attack came. He knew the bend of the elements, and he was once again able to barely use them to move out of the way before the struck. He rolled, feeling the heat of the blast past centimeters from him as he tumbled out of the way. Unfortunately as he rolled up he slid on bad footing, catching the next wind attack in the chest with an 'oof'.

Description: A flash of blue and purple light, heat from the ionized atmosphere. The 
Kyokōton; Bussō Umaiken attack utilizes plasmatic energy around the hands of the user to deliver a precise series of scalding strikes to the opponent's flesh. The plasma causes under surface burns, and the more square of a hit that the user lands the more serious the burn wounds can be. Many have quoted this technique to be incredibly beautiful to watch, and some even call it too flashy to be used in real combat. As such, this technique has a bad reputation amongst ninja as only being used by those who want the attention that it brings.

Tetsuo had dropped his guard just for a split second while he readied his plan of attack for the next counter, but that split second was all his enemy needed to finally break out a different technique than the same old plasma bolt, this time involving his plasma charged fists it seemed, Tetsuo was able to dodge three out of the five blows, but two of them had connected, despite his best attempt at getting himself away from their path, he winced as the skin seared where he had been struck, that was going to be throbbing for a bit. Wiping the blood from his mouth, an almost maniacal smirk crept across his face, as if that were the signal that the gauntlet was truly about to be thrown down.

ooc: A few things that I am mentioning here as they are important for the contents of my post.

 

• Your Accuracy cannot go as high as you have it. With a base of 1100 and a bonus of +225 Yokai you can get up to 1875 total. I've used 1875 in my rolls below, which is -26% Chance to Hit from what you had above.

• You didn't take damage from the Plasma effect. Plasma deals 20% damage to you based on the total chakra + stamina spent in your Main Phase. So it looks like 68 + 68 + 150 = 286 * 0.2 = 58 Damage.

• You didn't update your Turn Order in your last post. Should be 659 by my calculation.

Keanu was in close range now, the footwork between the two as Tetsuo dodged three of his five attacks. The next two attacks from Tetsuo would have no chance of being dodged by Keanu. The man disappeared again, using that strange jutsu to flicker out of sight. When he re-appeared he was already attacking and Keanu's form was swallowed by a beam of red energy. The attack disoriented him, but he still stood- though now his shirt was a dark charcoal color with yellow plaid decorating it. His previous orange and blue shirt lost somewhere on the field behind him. The second attack came and as it connected Keanu flexed his shield, a bright blue shimmer around his skin mitigating a large portion of the attack.

Without waiting for a reply, Keanu jumped forward from where he had tanked the man's last attack. His fists still glowed, swinging one after another to try and knock the man in the head a couple more times if he could. He knew his opponent had to be getting tired, they all got tired at some point after wailing on him. Granted, he had to admit that this one was a bit longer winded than most.

Description: A flash of blue and purple light, heat from the ionized atmosphere. The 
Kyokōton; Bussō Umaiken attack utilizes plasmatic energy around the hands of the user to deliver a precise series of scalding strikes to the opponent's flesh. The plasma causes under surface burns, and the more square of a hit that the user lands the more serious the burn wounds can be. Many have quoted this technique to be incredibly beautiful to watch, and some even call it too flashy to be used in real combat. As such, this technique has a bad reputation amongst ninja as only being used by those who want the attention that it brings.

Tetsuo didnt want to admit that his opponent wasnt far off from the reality of his situation, he was beginning to feel the effects of having the fight drawn out as long as it has already, he needed to end this quickly if he wanted to ensure a victory, his enemies lack of being tired was a bit concerning, he almost seemed to barely even be scathed after taking all of those attacks. The howling azure dragon and nightmare crusher techniques would have to be his next move, assuming they connected, there was a much higher chance of him coming out on top of this fight. Here goes nothing, he thought as he charged the soles of his feet with chakra once more, barely even feeling the contact of one of Keanus fists hitting his side, like him it didntseem to scathe the swordsman, as he gyrated his body spinnng through the air with his twin swords towards his opponent, unleashing his attack right before they would be next to each other.

ooc: A few things—

 

• The Plasma damage for last turn should be 54, it looks like you calculated it as 26. It's 20% of the total Chakra+Stamina you spent in the Main Phase. Total damage taken on your last turn should be 140 (Burning; Good Fist) + 3 (Good Fist) + 54 (Plasma) = 197 Total Damage.

• In your Current Stats you have the wrong Burning damage for next turn. You are currently afflicted with 'Burning; 50' from the single hit. 30% Chance to Hit - 5 (Roll) = 25*2 = 50. 

• Your Accuracy tag still has the high Accuracy from Shunshin and Displacer Beast. Afraid fell off at the end of my last Response Phase. I've corrected it in my Response Phase below but it should be: 60% Base + 137% (Acc Mod) + 10% (Lightning Specialty) = 207% Chance to Hit. Let me know if this looks incorrect to you.

The fog of fear had left Keanu's mind, and for the second time in this battle he felt that he could see clearly. The opponent was rushing him, and he bent his knees in anticipation as Tetsuo charged with his sword. His eyes followed this time, the blade cutting the air above Keanu's head as he bent beneath it, jumping back out of range of another strike and doing a one handed cartwheel backwards and away from the sword. The next attack followed up was a series of hand to hand strikes augmented with chakra. Keanu was able to place a hand and deflect the elbow to his side, rolling out of the way as a double axe handle attack came down on him. It was one of those blissful moments of pure concentration, every movement clicking like a dance. Only one thought rolled through Keanu's head as he slid to a stop only a few yards away from Testuo.

With the small moment of space between the two, Keanu flexed his massive muscles and preformed a seal as his skin flickered and threatened to turn off. It wasn't often someone made him go all out like this, the adrenaline was finally kicking in now that the terror he had felt earlier was wearing off. He didn't question why he was not afraid anymore, he just knew he felt great at the moment. The moral boost from dodging the man's series of dangerous attacks gave him the confidence boost he needed. It was time to turn this thing around.

With his Bariasukin reinstated, Keanu bull rushed forward, a laugh bellowing out from his massive form. Both of his hands ignited, a flurry of purple and blue as he took massive powerful swings towards the other man. Though Tetsuo was parrying the brute force of each blow, the plasma was doing it's job and seeping in to win the long game. Adrenaline was pumping, he could hear his own heart in his ears as he rushed forward, and he grinned from ear to ear. The thrill of competition was all he lived for. He bellowed as he struck, challenging Tetsuo to come at him again.

Tetsuo had never faced someone who could take so many hits and dodge so many of his attacks and still be standing, it was a bit offputting to the swordsman, it confused him, and made him wonder if his enemy was really this powerful, or if he himself was not as strong as he thought himself to be. He needed to stick with what worked though, the howl of the azure dragon technique had been successful in the past against this man, perhaps another round of it was needed.

ooc: A few things—

 

• Your damage tag is slightly off. You took 50 Burning damage this turn from the turn before. You also took 9 damage from three hits with the attack this turn. Finally you took 57 from Plasma this turn from your Main Phase actions [(68 + 68 + 150) * 0.2 = 57.2]. So a total of 116 damage last turn.

• Your concentration should be 460 (what it was at start) unless I am missing a +100 bonus somewhere.

• Your accuracy is 1150, which is +115% Chance to hit, not 190. I've adjusted this in my Response Phase but let me know if I am missing something.

Tetsuo had definitely slowed down. The second that his aura faded, the cloak of darkness that had shrouded him disappearing and leaving just the man Keanu knew that he had hit some kind of critical mass. The next two attacks came, but they were missing the punch they had earlier when the fight had been fresh. Keanu was able to roll out of the way, flipping backwards onto his hands and executing two perfect rolls to get out of the way of the two attacks that came.

There wasn't much to say now, Tetsuo had grown quiet as well. They were past the blustering showmanship that came when two men met on the battlefield. Now all that was left was to lay into each other over and over until one of them fell. Keanu felt his energy surging, where his opponent was worn out Keanu felt energized. He had been able to bear the assault even if it had battered him more than anything in years. He didn't remember the last time he had taken such a fierce assault. Moving in he would explode with purple and blue flames, fists swinging in a flurry of executed blows from the blustering bearded bastard.

Effect: This technique has five strikes. For each successful hit, the target takes 'Burning' damage for one (1) turn equal to twice the difference between their dodge roll and the techniques chance to hit. Total 'Burning' damage dealt this way cannot be greater than 240. If no dodge roll is made for a successful strike, that strike's dodge roll is considered zero (0) for purposes of 'Burning' calculation.
Description: A flash of blue and purple light, heat from the ionized atmosphere. The 
Kyokōton; Bussō Umaiken attack utilizes plasmatic energy around the hands of the user to deliver a precise series of scalding strikes to the opponent's flesh. The plasma causes under surface burns, and the more square of a hit that the user lands the more serious the burn wounds can be. Many have quoted this technique to be incredibly beautiful to watch, and some even call it too flashy to be used in real combat. As such, this technique has a bad reputation amongst ninja as only being used by those who want the attention that it brings.
