Sudden But Inevitable Betrayal

It was a beautiful evening in Arrakis, with a cool wind blowing in from the coast.  Twilight cast all sorts of pastels in the sky and it was the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation.  Reality was not so kind.  This was an evening following the bloody campaign against Sunagakure no Sato.  Konohagakure and Kirigakure had been allies in the war, but there was something foul in the air.  General Suizuma Kazu had vanished before all her troops were pulled out, leaving Kaguya Kaneki as acting First Captain.  The Mizukage ordered his Kirigakure ninja to destroy the rest of the Konohagakure force.  His next target was the Hokage.  The Hokage, anticipating the betrayal had ordered Field Marashal Uzumaki Kazuto to eliminate the Kirigakure army while they were weak.  Only these two now held this information.  Whoever was left standing would direct the flow of the next war.

The was an air of tension between the two groups of ninja. Where the day before they had fought side by side against a single enemy, now the two groups had separated back out into their own kind. Once more they were like oil and water. To some it was just a natural habit, seeking out friends and allies to spend their evening with, but Uzumaki Kazuto knew better. The young kept watch over the Kirigakure encampments from a high vantage point on one of the buildings that made up the Arrakis skyline.

Kazuto was no stranger to conflict, and the way that both groups seemed to stalk the perimeters of their encampments told him that Kiri had something planned. Of course Konoha's movements were on his orders. Against the wishes of the Hokage, he had informed all of the ninja in the area that conflict with their allied village was a possibility. He wasn't about to be the only man standing against an entire army should the shit hit the fan as it was predicted.

He would probably catch hell for it when he got back home, but most of the Konoha troops had already been evacuated under the cover of shift movements. Only the strongest and most battle-hardened ninja remained behind to route any attempts to follow them back to their village.

The blonde young man adjusted his headband as he watched the soon-to-be enemy camp. He hoped nothing would come of this, but the air was thick with impending violence.

 Academy Student
Effect: This skill may only be taken at character creation. Characters with this skill begin play at the rank of Academy Student, which is considered to be below the rank of Gennin. Academy Students begin play with 100 Stat Points, and gain 100 Stat Points per level until they reach 500 at level 0. Academy Students begin play with 2 JP and gain 1 JP at level U3, and U1, while they begin play with 1SP and gain 1 SP at level U2. Progression between levels U4 and 0 requires 200 Experience per level. Upon reaching level 0, the Academy Student must pass an exam to become a Genin, upon completion they receive an additional 1 SP and 2 JP as a rank bonus. Academy Students may not train by themselves for experience, and may not purchase techniques above their rank (Unless permissible by Death Bonus). Jutsu of the Academy rank have a maximum DP of 40, and utilize a 3:2 ratio when determining chakra and stamina costs. Academy Students may begin play with 1 additional free Academy Technique of their creation. Basic Path skils may not be taken until reaching level 0. Death bonuses apply at character creation.
Description: Possessors of young minds and fruitful imaginations, Academy Students are perhaps one of the only pure things about the Shinobi world. They know little of bloodshed or strife, and only see their superiors as radiant heroes. Often, these young boys and girls are disillusioned and lead astray by dreams of fame and power; they believe that a Shinobi life is one of pure glory, and that freedom from all their suffering is but a Jutsu away. As expected, these young children have poor strength and chakra manipulation, but are willing to learn. Their dreams often turn them into willing, if not impossibly overbearing students.

Effect: Attack strikes that target a character with this skill in a Team Battle have their Chance to Hit increased by 7%.
Description: Some people just don't fit in. It may be the way that they look, talk, or, in some cases, smell. For whatever reason, somebody with this skill finds it difficult to blend in with the crowd.

 Compulsive Catchphrase [Y'know]
Effect: Characters with this skill must say their catch phrase at least once every 50 spoken words or once every 800 written words, whichever comes first. This count is kept between posts. If the character fails to meet this requirement they take a -5% reduction to all of their non-tank stats for the rest of the day, cumulative. This reduction lasts for the rest of the day in character or at least two (2) days in real life, which ever is longer. The chosen phrase must be at least one word.
Description: The character has a compulsive habit to repeat the same catch phrase over and over multiple times a day. It is borderline disease in nature, and if the character does not, or is unable to say the catch phrase so often, their morale drops subconsciously, leaving them considerably weaker. Dattebayo.

 Defender
Effect: During a character with this skill's turn, if a non-clone ally is the target of an unresolved attack that did not target the user as well, this character takes the attack instead. This character may only apply 50% of their total defensive modifiers. Only triggers once per battle per ally.
Description: A defender is a person who refuses to allow injury or death to effect those he cares about. Whether through personal tragedy, or powerful moral compass, a defender has gained the desire to protect those dear to them, and will do anything in their power to protect those lives.

 Lonely
Effect: Characters with this skill reduce Experience gained when training alone by 50%. Characters with this skill may not take missions alone.
Description: Some people can go through life relying only on their own strength of will, facing off against the world by themselves. Others, like those with this skill, are eternally desperate for companionship and find the idea of operating on their own as demoralizing as they do terrifying. They feel a constant, codependent need for a companion, or something like it that they can see, feel, and touch in order to cope with everyday life, finding even antagonistic company preferable to isolation. While these individuals often have a solid grasp of teamwork, they are often woefully unprepared for situations in which they must act by themselves for an extended period of time.

 Uzushio No Chōjū Life Force - Rank Three
Effect: Characters with this skill permanently gain 100 Health per rank in this skill. Additionally, characters with this skill do not begin to suffer negative effects of aging until they reach the age of 100.
Description: Being descended from those who called Uzushiogakure their home, the Uzumaki clan is well-known for their incredibly powerful life force. Very rarely do Uzumaki suffer from common illnesses, and their bodies are able to sustain much more punishment than the usual ninja. Many members of the clan live well beyond what is normal for most ninja, sometimes up to or even exceeding thirteen decades.
Restrictions: Ranks of the following skills may be purchased once every 25 levels.

 Mokuton Vitality – Rank Four
Effect: Characters with this skill permanently gain 200 Chakra per rank in this skill.
Description: The Mokuton is as legends say a bloodline that stems from one most ancient and elusive. The Rikudō Sennin had two sons. The eldest was said to have been born with the gift of the Sennin's eyes, and his younger son, Ashura, with the spirit of determination, force of will, and indomitable energy of his father. The younger son went on to found the Senju clan. Senju who now command the powers of the Mokuton kekkei genkai also burst with the overwhelming energy of Ōtsutsuki Ashura.

Description: Kazuto's standard, black hitai-ate, bearing the mark of Konohagakure. This headband was not the one he received during his graduation from the academy, and is actually the forehead protector that his mother wore when she was a genin. The plate with the village insignia on its face is made of stout steel, and the fabric of the headband is soft and comfortable. Most of all though, it reminds Kazuto of his mother.

Description: The flak jacket worn by Uzumaki that denote the young shinobi's standing a chunin within his village is an exceptional piece of equipment despite its rather average appearance. Like most of the armored vests that make up the standard uniform of Konohagakure, Kazuto's jacket is a drab greenish color. What isn't obvious though is the additional enhancements that have been made to the armor. Plating of a lighter than usual material has been added to the armor to reduce encumbrance while increasing defense. Only a single token makes the Uzumaki boy's armor stand out from the norm; a lightning bolt shaped piece of metal sticking through the front of the fabric like a pin. The bauble marks his victory at the Chunin Selection Exams in Kumogakure (It was originally intended to be worn on the hand, but he disliked the feel and had to get creative with it.).

Description: These gauntlets were once the hands that strangled and stole. They instilled terror and were used for harm by Usaka Kouji. Brought the Village Hidden in the Leaves, they were retooled by the Hokage Hyuuga Yatako to be the hand that protects and promotes. Made a strong, grey metal these gloves have an aversion to fire and basic chakra along with being equipped with a ninjutsu amplifier. On the backs of there hands now sits a symbol of the Leaf, proudly displayed for all the see. On the palms of the gauntlets are small engraved trees as homage to the fallen Senju Ryuunosuke.

Being a shinobi that had experienced his fair share of battles and carnage, this particular battle, a fight between the leaf village and the village hidden in the mists had been a conflict that was boiling point that could end up with fire overtaking the mist, or the mist extinguishing the fire when all was said and done. Suizuma Kazu's forces all but destroyed, Kaguya Kaneki was the highest ranking officer that remainedit  in the mist villages army, and under specific orders from the Mizukage to bring the fight to the hokage and destroy konohas armed forces no matter the cost to their own troops. Kaneki had built a reputation for himself as Kazu's right hand, a bloody and extremely violent right hand. The air on the battlefield was almost so thick it was like you could feel the metallic taste of the blood on the tip of your tongue when you brought in a breath. Jamming his bonesword through the armor plates of his latest target, he gave it a twist scrambling their insides a bit, the life leaving their eyes. 

 

Wiping the crimson red from his face with the sleeve of his jacket, he surveyed the battlefield around him, looking for signs of his potential target, there was very few konoha shinobi even still around, Kaneki wasnt even truly certain the hokage was still in the immediate area; but orders were orders, and his search would continue.

Description: A survivor of intense burns in their lives, they never fully recovered. New burns simply exacerbate the old ones, making everything worse.
Effect: Whenever this character is inflicted with "Burned" they will suffer an additional turn. This can push "Burned" beyond its duration cap.

Alien Physiology
Description: As observed by anyone who tries to operate on a Kaguya, they will find that their physiology operates on its own accord. While it is close to a normal body, there are distinct differences in bone, joint and vein structure. Alterations in blood flow and the nervous system make it difficult for traditional medicines to work in tandem with a Kaguya's natural regenerative properties.
Effect: For every rank of Immortal Vessel, total healing techniques towards this character is 10% less effective.  Required hindering trait.

Fearful    

Description: Some might call you a coward, but you like to think of it as smart. I mean, why  we all be afraid of powers greater than our own, that's just a survival instinct... right?
Effect: Whenever an opponent uses a technique that can only be used by the ninja rank above your current one, you freeze up and lose one turn.

Bisexuality

Description: Physical attraction, although typically gender-oriented, remains a subtle facet of the human psyche, and as such, some people are less restrictive of what appeals to their tastes, allowing them to grow attentive of either gender non-specifically 

Effect: Any and all effects that specifically target gender now apply to this character, regardless of the intended target audience

Bloodline: None
Description: The user tends to move fast. Often, they move too fast. They tend to trip over people, rocks, or objects in their way. This becomes especially difficult in rougher terrain.
Effect: Terrain Effects that have a % chance to activate increase that chance by 10% for this character.

Attention Deficit

Bloodline: None
Description: Some ninja just have a harder time keeping their head in the game. New combatants tend to distract them from the ones they are already facing.
Effect: Whenever an enemy's summoned creature enters battle, an enemy's clone(s) enter battle, or when a new enemy enters battle, the user is inflicted with "Distracted" for 1 turn.

Defender
Description: A Defender's past experiences or loving nature will not allow other's to suffer in front of them. A Defender will do anything possible to save their allies from harm, throwing themselves between their allies and enemies to do so even if they know it could kill them.
Effect: During this character's turn, if a non-clone ally is the target of an unresolved attack that did not target the user as well, this character takes the attack instead. This character may only apply 50% of their total defensive modifiers. Only triggers once per battle per ally.

Aggressive Martial Artist [Kaikashin Buyō]
Effect: Any time a character with this skill spends 'Charges' to affect a Taijutsu technique of [x] Style, the base damage of that technique is increased by 10% per charge spent.
Description: While each style of taijutsu is different, those who practice those martial arts also differ greatly. Some are reactive, choosing to counter-attack or apply their opponent's momentum against them. There are others though that generate momentum purely on their own. These shinobi are the intimidating and aggressive bruisers who dominate the battlefield. Their attacks, perhaps not as subtle as other fighters, tend to be impressively strong.

Kaikashin Buyō
Effect: Allows for the accumulation of “Blossom” charges. A Blossom charge is generated whenever a Kaikashin Buyō technique successfully strikes its target and whenever Shikotsumyaku: Honeokori is utilized to create a weapon in the Setup Phase, though a charge is only granted for the first weapon made. A Blossom charge is lost whenever this character successfully Blocks an attack, or when a weapon created with Honeokori is destroyed. Blossom charges are utilized in the following ways:
- Blossom charges may be spent in the Response Phase, as a free action, before any action is taken. Spending Blossom charges in this way increases this character’s chance to block by 5X%, where X is equal to the number of Blossom Charges spent.
- A single Blossom Charge may be spent during the Main Phase to treat a Kaikashin Buyō technique as if it were a Weapon Technique made with a Medium [bone Blade] weapon that possesses the Razor Edge attribute. This effect may not be utilized if Blossom Charges were spent during the Response Phase through this skill's effects.
- Whenever this character is damaged by a Close Range Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Basic Attack, or Weapon attack from a Medium Sized Weapon or Smaller,  they may choose to have 2Y% of that attack’s total damage dealt back to the attacker as unmodified damage; Y is equal to the number of Blossom Charges that this character currently possesses. When this ability is triggered, this character sacrifices one Blossom charge.

The Path of the Defender
Description: Though few have the inner strength and willpower to do so, some shinobi are brought down a distinct path, focusing on defense, either because they do not wish to harm others, because they want to protect those they love, or because they take heart to the classical proverb, the best offense is a good defense. These shinobi-nin are often very stubborn, and also often very naturally tough.
Effect: User gains 1 extra Jutsu Point every 3rd level and gains the skill 'Savior' for free.
Garrison's Teachings (Choose Two)
- Enlightened Defender: May learn 'Guard Expertise', the first rank is free.
- Unbreakable: User is capable of gaining 'Resistance Mastery' and 'Defensive Martial Artist' at the cost of 1 SP per 2 ranks.

The Path of the Guardian
Description: Just as some warriors are trained intensively to cause harm, disciplined to become masters of causing damage with their favored art, there are some shinobi who spend the same amount of training to force their body to endure, force their mind to see past tragedy, force their being into submission so that they can be tougher and survive longer, so that they may defend who they wish to, even if it's just themselves.
Effect: Every 5 levels gain another Jutsu Point. Once per battle, the user may negate a single critical hit and take normal damage instead. In addition, choose two of the following abilities.
Teachings of the Aegis: (Choose Two)
- Elusive: User may take 'Iron Will', 'Knowing the Elements', and 'The Seeing Mind' for -1 SP and an additional time for every rank after Chuunin they have up to Sennin, and do so with at the cost of -1 SP on each rank. (Chuunin +1; Jounin +2; Sennin +3)
- Quick Learning Body: User may take 'Chakra Barrier', and 'Iron Skin', without the training requirement, and at the cost of -1SP for 'Chakra Barrier', and -1 SP for 'Iron Skin'.

- Chuunin. Must have Path of the Defender or Path of the Puppeteer.

Seal-less Jutsu
Description: A dangerous yet powerful sealing method in which the ninja has the deep knowledge and ability to shape chakra imprinted into the base of their skull. The ninja is given a small seal on their occipital lobe, often beneath the hair where it is not visible. With the seal the ninja is able to shape chakra without the need of hand seals, having such intrinsic knowledge of all possible seals at the forefront of their mind. Many ninja that have gone through the operation to obtain this seal claim that closing their eyes briefly helps them see the seals and preform them. This is, however, unnecessary. Due to the location and nature of this seal, it often results in dangerous side effects that many opt to not risk.
Effect: All Ninjutsu and Genjutsu preformed by this character are considered to be Seal-less and never require the use of the hands. When a character takes this skill they lose 1000 EXP. EXP lost this way does not cause the character to lose levels. [Taken at 31981 exp to recuce to 30981 exp.]

Fire Specialty [UNLOCKED]
Description: Naturally aligned to the element of the fire, this character has a natural tact at using and manipulating fire to their bidding. The user's chakra is very fierce and can flow through the body, giving it heightened reaction speed and agility, much like the flickering of a flame.
Effect: User has a +10% chance to dodge any attack. Fire Jutsu cost one less JP to a minimum of 1. This effect may stack with other skills, to a maximum of -2 JP per technique. User receives the skill “Subtle Elements: Fire” for free and may purchase an additional rank of “Subtle Elements”.. Roll Training

 

Earth Specialty [UNLOCKED]
Description: Naturally aligned to the element of the earth, this character has a natural tact at using and manipulating earth to their bidding. This chakra is thick and well suited for the manipulation of physical jutsu, making it perfect for the creation of barriers.
Effect: User has a -15% to base damage (rounded up) for incoming Ninjutsu attacks. Earth Jutsu cost one less JP to a minimum of 1. User receives the skill “Subtle Elements: Earth” for free and may purchase an additional rank of “Subtle Elements”. Roll [Training Link]

Description: Based on their construction, by all intents and purposes these particularly ancient pair of sunglasses had belonged to a famous person who had become known as, 'the one eyed king,' these golden rimmed, crimson red, some say orange hued lenses that glowed in the dark moonlight when he used to hnt his victims, some called him a cannibal because of his interest with human blood, others just thought he was the true incarnation of vampires in the shinobi realm, suffice to say those who spread stories about this knight of darkness were silenced soon afterward. Whoever owned these could leave themself vulnerable to one day being hunted down by this creature of darkness, but the powers they had were well worth the risk to the right kind of person.

Description: A black flak jacket modeled after the traditional flak garb of the shinobi nations. There are several empty velcro sections found above the breast pockets on each side, indicating that these was once intended to be modular and allow the wearer to adorn patches that would indicate rank or achievement. The inner lining of this specialized Jonin vest has been overlain with several layers of chain mail that is woven into the fabric itself, so durable it could withstand dragon fire and being struck by a bolt of lightning.

When battle finally broke out, Kazuto was too late to protect those shinobi from the Leaf who had remained behind to protect the retreating main force. Of course the remaining ninja fought back spiritedly, but that did not mean the Uzumaki's presence would not be needed on the field. He rushed from building to building, searching frantically for the shinobi acting as the leader of Kiri's attack team.

At last, he caught sight of him. A shinobi wielding bones like blades, and ravaging the other Konoha-nin. Even if he wasn't the leader he would need to be stopped before they had any hope of routing the attack. "Y'know, why don't you pick on somebody your own size?" The young blonde said, hopping down onto the earth. One of his comrades had just died at the hands of this ninja, but he wasn't scared. Battle always seemed to thrill him.

Kazuto formed a single handseal and flickered out of view of his enemy. From behind the Kaguya, he could get the drop on his foe. He brought his finger to his lips and nipped down, slicing through the skin with his incisor before slamming his palm into the ground. "Summoning Technique!"

In a cloud of smoke, Kazuto was quickly propelled up into the air atop the head of the mighty boss of toads. From there the boy wove another quick succession of handseals. Though the Uzumaki boy had never been a hunter-ninja, he had picked up a few tricks from certain members of the Konoha Black-Ops. This technique was one of them. "Temporary Paralysis Jutsu." He said under his breath, hoping to fully lock the opponent up in his attack.

The jutsu itself is a high-speed movement ability that uses chakra to temporarily vitalize the body, allowing movement that is nearly untraceable to the naked eye. The user often disappears from the field of their opponent’s vision in a puff of smoke, as a means to further distract their path of escape. Though Shunshin has many applications, its most common use is in evading hazardous attacks.

Kaneki ground his teeth together in frustration, how he could be so stupid to fall into this kids trap he had no idea, and worse off he managed to summon something while Kaneki was paralyzed and unable to move, hell he had hardly even seen that his opponent was using that move until it was too late, it was rare that someone was so much faster than him. He usually was able to keep up or one up anyone he came across, but this blonde haired kid was like the yellow flash all over again. "You M-mother fuc-cker. I will d-destroy you."

The Kaguya were the lost and forgotten child of the Mother of All Things; Otsutsuki Kaguya. Even bearing her name, they were disregarded in the likes of the Hyuuga, the Uchiha and the Senju as the four decedants of Kaguya. When stripped of mythical eyes and sagely energies, the last ramining genetic boon Kaguya gave her children was her own body. Not every member of the Kaguya clan unlocks their birthright, but due to their ferocity and unmistakable prowess, those who do not are not remembered. Those that do not find other ways of being deadly. The Dead Bone Pulse allows for the manipulations of one's own bones. By fusing the calcium in their bones with chakra, they are able to remove and regrow their macabre bones. Due to this, the physiology of every Kaguya is not like the typical human, making medical intervention extremely difficult. Many had sought to scientifically understand the Kaguya but few efforts proved successful. For this reason it was thought they became near extinct: the family knew only to break, not to mend. The membersi n Kirigakure were all but nothing for generations saved only by the Bloody Mists unlikely ally, the Water Daimyo. Due to the Shodai Kyoukage that the Kaguya were reborn in Otogakure. Today these gardners continue to fill the earth with blood.

Immortal Vessel
Description: While not the most obvious ability of the Shikotsumyaku, the body of a Kaguya is given the innate ability to regenerate itself. It is most notable in its ability to regenerate the bones of the body, but over years of evolution their regeneration does not end at the bones. A Kaguya's skin may close in response to a wound, because of calcium deposits that rush towards the open site. With each break, cut and bruise, their bodies become more durable and is one of the many reasons the Kaguya were sought out by Orochimaru to become his next vessel.
Effect: While Shikotsumyaku is active the user will regenerate 3% (rounded up) of their total Health per turn per rank of this skill.

Description: The corner stone of the Kaguya legend lies in their ability to use their own bones as weapons in battle. Not only do they refuse to be without a weapon and backed into a corner, but the Kaguya bone weapons are versatile and may vary in terms of durability, might and ease of attack. As the body of the Kaguya becomes stronger, so too do their immortal bones. Any bone that is removed from the body immediately regenerates. The limb may have a delay before it is useful again, but a Kaguya battlemaster does not give their prey time to realize that.
Effect: The user may activate this skill as a Setup Phase action to begin to create a 'Bone Weapon'. A 'Bone Weapon' is a Medium Weapon with a level equal to x + (0.5xy) , rounded up. The value of x is equal to the user's level. The value of y is equal to the amount of Setup Phase actions spent creating this weapon, including the turn it was activated. Setup Phase actions used creating a 'Bone Weapon' do not need to be sequential, and may never exceed 5. As a free action in their Main Phase, the user may 'release' the 'Bone Weapon', ending its creation and equipping it. Effect: Once per battle per rank in this skill the user may add the status effect 'Destroy Weapon' to a strike of an attack made with a 'Bone Crafted' weapon.

The massive toad launched itself into movement before the Kaguya could do more than curse. He brought his enormous bulk high into the air with a single hop, before barreling down on the vulnerable mist ninja, using his tremendous mass to smash him flat.

Kazuto hopped from the head of his toad companion just as it began its rapid ascent into the sky. As the boy fell he crossed his fingers in front of his chest, making the seal that would activate his signature jutsu.

It wasn't a single Kazuto that hit the ground in front of the incapacitated Kaguya, but four. Each one wore a confident smirk. "That's a lot of big talk for a guy that can't move... and such language too." He didn't sound happy with this mist nin, and as he spoke the confident smile was wiped from his face and replaced with a much more menacing look.

With another handseal, Kazuto crafted a simple illusion. The Kaguya clan were historically known as brutal, unthinking berserkers, and he had a fairly good idea that even a simple genjutsu would serve as a distraction. If successful it would appear to Kaneki as if golden chains had erupted up from the ground to bind his legs tightly and prevent him from moving easily.

Description: Despite being an extremely powerful jutsu, the Shadow Clone Technique is basic in its function. When created by the Second Hokage, the original Kage Bunshin's ability to be molded with chakra natures of the user was never explored. Over the generations following, that legacy was left to other ninja, each with their own chakra natures. The Fūton; Kage Bunshin is one of those natural enhancements to the original jutsu. By molding their clones using wind-natured chakra, a user is capable of creating shadow clones made of a whirling tempest wrapped in a thin skin. When destroyed, these clones release a torrent of winds that carry the usual smoke of a destroyed clone and create a momentary smokescreen that distract foes. These gusts of wind are strong enough to knock grown men through solid walls.

Kaneki said as he clutched his gauntlets together, ignoring them shaking a little as he used all of his strength to keep the toads massive blade away from his chest, he underestimated the velocity behind the blade and because of it allowed the red lizard like creature to chop off the shoulder straps on the right side of his vest, leaving it hanging down at an awkward angle, it definitely seemed like it was damaged beyond repair. Kaneki wasnt exactly thrilled over this, in fact quite the opposite, he was very pissed, he had just gotten it repaired two days ago. 

 

And then a strange feeling crept into his body, it was like someone had glued his feet to the floor, he tried moving his left or right legs and wasnt able to move from the position he was in, an illusion perhaps? He did have control over his upper body though, as he turned from side to side, he didnt need his arms for the next move he had planned, not many people were able to use techniques without hand seals, so he doubted very much the uzumaki would see this attack coming, waiting for the right moment to strike with his reinforced chakra string he wound it around his target and quickly gave it a yank, all the while his body showing no outward signs of him even doing anything, a web of bones grew around him as he fortified himself with a shield made of several layers of jagged bones.

Description: The Dance of the Cypress is one of the least dance-like maneuvers in a Kaguya’s arsenal. The user will utilize their kekkei genkai to produce a subdermal layer of durable bone over a variable amount of their musculature, greatly increasing their durability. However, the process of forming such fine structures is not painless and results in many uneven twitches across the user’s body, resulting in its classification as a “dance”. Given the subdermal nature of this technique’s structures, the Kaguya’s regenerative qualities may occasionally repair damage sustained to the bone shielding.

Seal-less Jutsu
Description: A dangerous yet powerful sealing method in which the ninja has the deep knowledge and ability to shape chakra imprinted into the base of their skull. The ninja is given a small seal on their occipital lobe, often beneath the hair where it is not visible. With the seal the ninja is able to shape chakra without the need of hand seals, having such intrinsic knowledge of all possible seals at the forefront of their mind. Many ninja that have gone through the operation to obtain this seal claim that closing their eyes briefly helps them see the seals and preform them. This is, however, unnecessary. "I guess you could say that." One of the Kazuto's said, looking every bit as cocky as he had said. The tactic here was for them to be as indistinguishable as possible. If the Kiri-nin couldn't tell which of them was a clone and which was the real thing then he couldn't win the battle. One of the Kazuto's made a quick succession of handseals and brought his hands to his lips to blow a massive plume of fire out at the Kaguya.

The true Kazuto added his own heat to the attack of his clones. In a flurry of seals, his a great plume of fire erupted from his mouth, and baked the sandy ground in a wide radius. He didn't slow the firestorm that raged from his mouth. It seemed as if he was intent on burning the Kaguya until he was nothing but a smoldering pile of ash on the ground.


The Uzumaki didn't need to talk to give Gamabunta the signal for the second attack. The fire would have surely taken care of the bone armor that cloaked his pallid form, leaving 'Bunta free to break through the rest of his defenses.

Taking Kazuto's cue, Gamabunta pressed his second attack, once again hopping into the air and landing directly into Kazuto's billowing firestorm that the blonde boy had setup around the immobilized Mist Ninja. The shockwave from Gamabunta's enormous girth was enough to shake the ground, even causing some of the war ravaged buildings to crumble and fall.

The quake that Gamabunta sent out from beneath him as he impacted the ground almost floored Kazuto and his clones. They kept their footing though, continuing to unleash the hellish blaze that was sure to spell an end for Kirigakure's commanding shinobi. In the end it wasn't a lack of chakra that caused Kazuto's attack to slow down to nothing. He had run out of breath.

The roaring fire came to an end, leaving Kazuto standing over the crater where Gamabunta had smashed, scorched and blackened by flames. He had no idea what had come of the white-haired man within, but he had a feeling things weren't over just yet. "Y'know, if you're still alive, I'd be really impressed." That same cocky smirk that his clone had worn followed those words. The truth of the matter was that if he wasn't still alive, he would be really disappointed.
