Physical Description: Minako typically prefers darker colours, which contrast starkly with her paler skin and bright hair. Her preferred outfit is a tank top with a combination of tights and miniskirts, and a hoodie depending on the weather. She holds herself with a poise that indicates a long time spent doing intricate movements and having complete control over her body. Minako looks slightly malnourished, being a little too thin for a girl her age, but she holds a look in her eye that lets people know that they'd pay if they underestimated her.

Personality

Minako doesn't deal very well with nonsense. She tends to be very forward and straight to the point. Due to starting training at a young age, and often being able to beat her peers in spars, she developed a bit of an arrogant streak, often thinking people were beneath her. But when she runs across somebody that is genuinely strong or talented, she shows a lot of respect and tries to learn where she can. She is hard-headed, often not doing something if she doesn't see a good reason to, and can be difficult to work with if she doesn't feel it's worthwhile. But when she starts something, she expects perfection and holds herself to higher standards than other people. Just because she's dismissive it doesn't mean she overestimates her abilities. Minako, of all people knows how far she has yet to go and strives to do better in all aspects of her training.

Due to her personality, she often dismisses approaches that aren't the most direct, and finds dealing with such things frustrating. This is also why her Genjutsu skills suffer quite a bit, as she believes a sharp spear in somebody's side is much more effective than spending time convincing them that they're stabbed by a spear.

~History~

 

Minako was born in Amegakure, and abandoned sometime around age 3. She spent a lot of time wandering around by herself, and scavenging food scraps from alleyways, often trying to find shelter from the frequent rain. One day, a man spotted her scavanging around for scraps and gave her a little of his left over yakisoba, and the grateful and starving girl wolfed it down rather quickly. Not having experienced kindness before, Minako followed the man, out of childish curiosity and interest, and surprisingly, the man took her along with him when he left the city. They spent most of their time hunting, and foraging for food while travelling from city to city. Sometimes, Minako would be left alone where they had last made camp, and the man would always come back with yakisoba as a treat, and occasionally, that would almost make up for the loneliness she felt when she was separated from the man.

 

There were few words spoken between them, mostly learning to understand each other through actions over time. The man went from city to city taking on bounty missions, and Minako would wait patiently, tending to the fire and making sure their supplies were kept safe. Upon one day learning that the man was a ninja, Minako begged him to teach her the ninja arts. The man originally believed that little girls had on use for jutsus or combat skills, but knowing that if he had an accident on one of his missions that she would be left with little skills to keep herself alive, he relented and started teaching her some basic taijutsu. On Minako's 5th birthday, the man gifted her with a simple, medium lengthed spear. Due to the fact that she was smaller than most ninja, she needed to learn to use a weapon that would give her more reach in combat, so she could have the advantage, he told her. And from that day forward, she trained with a spear every day.

 

One day, when Minako was 8 years old, while travelling through Kumogakure, the man left on a mission once again, but this time did not return. Minako waited at the camp for days, looking out and wondering when the man would return, and refusing to move from the spot until she ran out of food and passed out due to starvation and exhaustion. She woke to find herself in the Kumogakure hospital. Minako fought and cried, worried she would've missed the man's return but she wasn't let out of the hospital and causing the Kumogakure medics to have to restrain her until she calmed down. It took a few months, before Minako gave up, and resigned herself to the fact that the man would've most likely left without her. Eventually she was allowed out of the hospital, and handed over to the orphanage, where she had the choice of going to a civilian school or the ninja academy. Minako chose the ninja academy with the goal of trying to find the man again who she didn't even know the name of, but owed her life to.

Description: A sword style heavily used among the ninja of Kumogakure. Taught extensively from a young age, Cloud Style Swordsmanship is an art specialised for swift and lethal attacks to an enemy’s vital points, most commonly the neck, torso and thigh arteries. Characterised by extreme aggression and relentless attacks, it is easy for novice practitioners to overextend and lose their weapon and with it their chance of victory, embodying Kumogakure's high-risk-high-reward combat philosophy. Simple to learn but nearly impossible to master, Cloud Style Swordsmanship is as deep and as multifaceted as the sky itself. Although designed for and most effective with single-edged katanas, the principles of the sword style can be applied to almost any standard edged weapon.

In addition, when the user is in a thread with the bonded character, triple this bonus. Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent's attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies.

When determining the cost of this technique "x" is considered to be the number of "Clones" created by the user and may never be greater than 2. "Clones" have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. "Clones" are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every "Clone" on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle. 
Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshinjutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.

Description: The Transformation Technique is a time-honored staple of nearly every shinobi academy the world over. Its concept and execution are both extremely basic, making it a perfect training technique for young students. By molding chakra around their body, the user of the Transformation Jutsu is able to temporarily take on the physical characteristics of another person. Though the Henge no Jutsu rarely offers a perfect disguise, clever ninja have been using it for hundreds of years to confound their foes.
