A giant creature of two minds, the horrendous being wailed in agony from the skeletal head atop it's body, but the gaping, salivating, jaw on its gut licked it's lips before letting out a wretched, otherworldly giggle. Anything that came near was either shattered with the force of comet crashing to the earth or gripped by the seemingly prehensile tongue that knew no limit to range and dragged into the mouth. The advancement on the great village was concerning enough for it's massive size alone, but the creature seemed to crave for sustenance without end. 

 

If that weren't bad enough, it brought with it rains of poison that fell in sheets upon the land and killed everything it touched. The ground around it was an ever deepening ocean of mud. As the soil mixed with poisonous water and the blood that dripped from the stomach mouth, it became a slick, clinging muck that almost seemed to clutch at the feet of those traipsing through in a plea for help. 

 

However, march on they did. A group of volunteers, maybe mercenaries, warriors for certain, convened to slay the beast that brought ruin and death with every stride. The creature's stomach quivered in delight with a disgusting wet slurping as a long tongue passed over it's disgusting, spiked body, lapping the excess blood from it's own flesh. It would dine well.

Of course, Kouta got the big ugly guy with a giant mouth on his chest. He couldn't get something fun, like a witch lady, or an easily subdued cat monster. He had to get belly mcfatfat. "You know," he called out, climbing atop one of the pavilions so he had a better line of sight to the big monster, "Some of us were enjoying our day. Night. Whatever." The sennin scratched absently at the back of his head. "You really fucked that up for us. I hadn't even hit the liquor yet. And you know how much I love those bullshit liquors inside of chocolate wine bottles."

 

The ninja was just posturing, buying time while trying to find an angle of attack on the creature. He pulled a pair of simple, all-weather goggles down low over his eyes and began to scan the creature for vulnerabilities. He would fit inside its belly, but that wouldn't be wise, and he could attack the skull head but it seemed just as useless. It seemed like the only fleshy part of its body was the side around the mouth, so that was where Kouta began to plan assaults to. Kidney punching a massive monster. That's how he planned to spend his Halloween. At least this time it wasn't a giant flip-flop* like in Metropolis.

Description: A pair of seemingly harmless goggles, bright metal frames a thin, visor like eye mask that covers the eyes. It contours to the face, gripping closely, and wraps behind the head with a thick strap made of kind of woven material. The glass covering the eyes is crystal clear, and has what looks like spirals on the glass. The spirals are located precisely where the eye would be, and they form a kind of visionary funnel that can aid the user’s rangefinding.

Description: It is often boasted that the spiral patterns adorning these ultra-tough goggles are made to increase vision, as the spiral works to keep the eye focused at certain distances. This enhanced focus allows the user to strike down enemies with greater success.

Description: A black, sleeveless haori with suna's symbol embossed on the back in bright gold threading. The haori has many little pocket on the inside that house Kouta's ninja tools and accessories.

The air tasted and smelled horrible

 

That was the first thing which came to mind as his feet sloshed about as he tried to get footing. Asenaru Jaegu did not know where he was at, the rain was wrong, different than in his home in Kirigakure. His senses picked up others, but there was also a vessel which he did not recognize as human, or any other creature he came across before.

 

But the pay was right for the job.

 

He was being paid to work on a team against the thing which he did not recognize as… well… anything. It wasn’t until he seen it that he knew that his time once this is done will be spent with a warm bottle of saki, probably three. He craned his head to the side as he listened to what sounded like laughter emanated from the thing.

 

‘He kinda looks like a turtle which evolution simply shat on and say why the fuck not?he murmured as he heard a teammate basically had the same thought process as he… more about the liquor than the turtle part.

 

‘Well, they didn’t pay us to stand and look at that thing’

A Valiant young silver haired Kunoichi stood as the wind tossed her hair around as the enormous beast stood its ground. The disgusting odor that lingered from its massive gaping chest was tasted in the air. This monstrous creature would no little reason besides death and chaos. The only thing that would stand its its way would be a small band of unlikely heroes that had started to form. Hatake Tane stood with a pair of young men, both poised and ready to strike. 

 

Listening to their conversation she thought she might have been with Uchiha Shinji as the mention of booze started to circle around. Smiling as she wished she had him by his side but so far he didn't show up. "Night fella's, name is Tane, pleasure you meet you both." The only girl in the group said. "I think if we don't die today, I might let one of you guys buy me a drink." She smiled as she pulled down her headband covering her eye.

Tetsuo received word of a last minute contract that they were desperate to find mercenaries to settle, there was an attack on a neighboring town, some creature of some kind that is making it rain acid from the skies, and destroying everything in its path, to Tetsuo it sounded like an interesting challenge.; and the pay was certainly right for it. Strapping his twin swords to his back, and putting out the cigarette he was finished with, with a flash his body was gone, using the body flicker technique to speed up the process of getting to the creatures location, which was not hard to find once he was close enough, just had to follow the source of the rain, and the closer he got to it, the worse that awful smell became, smelled like dead rats that had cooked in the sun for a week or something, he nearly gagged on his breath it was so foul. 

 

As he arrived on scene, some of the other mercs that must have undertaken the contract had already beat him there and dispatched with the introductions fro what it looked like, "Figured I wasn't the only one they were contracting for this, what are we all standing around for, lets cut this fuck ugly thing in half." He said a devious smirk creeping across his lips. His hands went to the hilts of his blades ready to draw them and start the blood shed.

Tetsuo had his modified to have all black material and thread used throughout, being more of an assassin style shinobi, being able to blend in with the shadows was a handy trick when surprise attacking an enemy, the last thing he needed was a bright orange neon like sign saying where he is at all times. Usability over aesthetic.

“That they didn’t Jaegu, but man, these things get uglier and uglier upon every encounter.” Akio said as he landed next to his old teammate. The group had found themselves fighting all manner of things these days but this one would take the cake. Monstrous in appearance though, Akio knew it wasn’t just for show, as he could see the amount of chakra burning inside the creature, typical for a yokai but none the less a threat to all surrounding it. They needed to bring it down here and now before it tears apart the people. Stretching a bit, the jounin readied himself for what was sure to be another life or death encounter.

The area was surveyed as he took account of the number of ninjas on the field with him and noticed that his friend Akio was there. Jaegu gave a quick smile and nod as he looked towards the creature in front of him. He was not unnerved, but wary of the maw which it held in its stomach and spikes on his back. The rain was falling and for some reason he was starting to get a slight cough and knew that this couldn’t last for the entire battle or else they will all be in trouble. Of all the things he learned while he was in Kiri, and he didn’t take the time to learn anything to clear up the weather.

 

He wanted to chuckle when the kunoichi to his right said that she might let one of them buy her a drink, and only felt the dragonesque eyes of his mate on him if he would state anything other than a stern no. He wondered if the ninja whom was irritated by the spike backed fiend for ruining his drinking time would take her up on it. There was another ninja in the vicinity with looked like two blades that was about his money like Jaegu, and then there was Akio, which would be the first time that he will witness what he could do even though he sensed the vitality of essence which his vessel contained.

 

Jaegu formed the hand seals as the image of him shifted out of himself and made a clone. Taking a step to the side, they looked at the beast as he spoke to Akio ‘I don’t like the sense of this creature… lets end this quickly!’

Description: With its origins in Iwagakure no Sato, this technique uses steel to create a replica of the creator. Making use of the steel's strength, this clone proves to be much more sturdy than in addition to having some tricks that utilize their metal construction. Steel Clones often have forged steel armor or weapons secured to their arms, making them an especially dangerous variations of clone. In most scenarios the user will rely on the solitary strength of these clones rather than numbers to defeat their opponent

In addition to gaining Rage Counters through successful strikes with Wild Beast Style techniques, the user will also gain a Rage Counter every time they take damage from an opponent per turn (including ghost damage). A user may not gain more than one Rage Counter per opponent attacking them in a single turn. Additionally, Rage Counters may be spent in one of the following three ways.

1. The user may at any time spend a Rage Charge to increase the chance to hit with a Wild Beast Style technique by 2x% and raise its base damage by 5x% rounded down, with x being equal to the amount of charges spent. In addition, until the end of their next setup phase their speed is considered to be increased by 5x% their base speed.

2. The user may perform a technique that requires the use of Rage Charges.

3. The user may spend x Rage Charges in their setup phase, targeting a single opponent. The targeted opponent will roll 1d100 in their Response Phase. If they roll below 20x they MUST at their next possible Main Phase target the user with their action. If the target is a higher ninja rank than the user then the chance to hit is lowered to 10x instead.

 

Aggressive Martial Artist [Wild Beast]: Any time a character with this skill spends 'Charges' to affect a Taijutsu technique of [x] Style, the base damage of that technique is increased by 10% per charge spent.

Akio had noticed surrounding weather around the ninja becoming increasingly worse, and likely in the favor of the creature that stood before them. Also he found himself suddenly fighting to keep himself from coughing, trying to focus on the beast that stood before him and his little makeshift team. "We need to end this fast if we want to clear this up." he told himself before watching Jaegu create a steel clone. They were quite powerful, but Akio wasn't going to let himself be outdone. Gathering his chakra, Akio had created clones of his own, though they kept themselves in a different plain of existence, they were there and ready to protect the original.

When targeting ‘Border Clones’ the attack treats their Accuracy statistic as if it were 0, unless they possess the skill ‘Path of the Sensor’, the bloodline ‘Rinnegan’, or have the advanced system ‘Sage Mode’ activated. If an attack would reduce a ‘Border Clone’ to 0 Health, that clone has a 50% chance to instead be reduced 1 Health, unless the attack was paid for using ‘Natural Energy’. This technique has a maximum duration of 3 turns (Clone’s turns). After the effects of this technique end, the user may not use this technique for 3 turns.

Description: The insight provided by the Rinnegan eye is capable of circumventing the barriers that separate the plane of the living, and the other planes of existence. At all times, the Rinnegan is capable of viewing both the material world and the plane of Limbo, an invisible world that overlaps with the normal world, though it is nearly impossible to force one’s chakra through the barriers between worlds by one's own strength alone. Through the use of the Rinnegan and senjutsu, a user of this technique is able to project shadows of their form that solely exist in Limbo. Despite these shadows not existing in the visible world, they are very real, and very capable of attacking those that exist in the user’s world. The strength of these shadows comes from both their invisibility and the difficulty most enemies have with attacking something in Limbo. Sensors, those who possess the Rinnegan themselves, and sages have a distinct advantage against this technique, and in the case of sages, are capable of easily destroying them. Though strong, shadows created by Rinbo; Hengoku have the time limit that they can be projected into Limbo, and upon returning to the user’s body, a significant amount of time is required for it to recharge. The strength of this technique comes from both two Rinnegan, and should one be missing, the user’s abilities are greatly diminished.

The thrill of combat was already beginning to do its usual thing, and make the blood rushing through his veins feel like it was white hot wild fire, his heart pumping so much adrenaline, he amassed a considerable amount of his chakra, while doing this reaching for his twin swords from their sheaths across his back, he swiftly removed them from their sheathes; the metallic chime was music to his ears as the steel rang out cutting through the wind as he brought them forth. "This is going to be some serious fun boys, LETS DO THIS!" A shower of sparks flew off the blades as he ran them across each other, almost taunting the creature with the look of murderous intent that filled the swordsman.

Having gathered enough of his chakra for the technique he had in mind to start things off, he began to sprint around at extremely high speeds until it was nothing but flashes of the afterimage of his body, times like this was when he was grateful he had spent the countless hours training his body to not require hand seals to release his chakra; three of the after images of his body became more pronounced and then all three clones and the original Tetsuo fell into the center, his clones bodies flashing back and forth constantly in after image form. 

 

One of the most effective uses for his clones was using them as a sacrificial shield for himself or an ally, because of the high speed they move at , it is much easier for them to intercept a physical attack coming at Tetsuo or a comrade. Not knowing these other peoples fighting styles he wanted to have various options

Description: Being forged from the same batch of tirelessly folded steel, the twin swords that went into the forging of the larger one, and then the brilliant idea Tetsuo gave the blacksmith he had hired for this job, the best one in kumokagure he was able to find, the highest of quality in his creations. He took stormcutter and his other emerald meteor steeled sword and combined the two metals and formed a compound that seemed to be even stronger than the previous form it was in separated, because he had the new larger blade forged all from the old material, and then had the idea to have it forged in a way that the swords could be split apart, by a technique if the smith deemed it necessary, but Tetsuo definitely preferred the utility of being able to separately draw them on the fly with his reflexes that had gotten so much training in that maneuver over the years. The end result was a masterpiece of craftsmanship and artistry, the blades were not only durable but almost cut 'through' the wind when swung with enough force behind it, especially when Tetsuo mixed some chakra into a swing and tested it out on a nearby tree only to cleave around thirty of them to the ground with the one swing on accident. Tetsuo found that by using both swords in their separate form his attacks could be faster and more agile than in their combined albeit more durably strong form.

Effect: When making an attack with this weapon the wielder may choose to perform an additional Ninjutsu technique. The chosen technique must be paid for as normal, and its damage and effects are added to the initial attack as if it were a coalescence technique. This effect may be activated as a Free Action in the Main Phase Twice per battle.
Description: Through endless hours of training and honing his swordsmanship, in tandem with some experimentation and mastery over controlling his chakra flowing from his body without the need for hand seals to trigger it, Tetsuo found that in a similar way to samurai Kenjutsu, he was able to manifest his chakra in a powerful destructive form from the edge of his balde with enough fofrce to blow a hole through the side of a mountain. 

 

Description: Yozora No Ken; Daiga derives its fighting style from that of the cloak and dagger variant, combined with a larger more powerful sword in the other hand instead of another dagger or keeping it free handed for more utility, Yozora No Ken; Daiga takes the form of a variation of a Shortsword; the smaller  of the black bladed duo comprises the inner part of the sword and has the handle fixed to it, while the base of the sword is slanted and the blade continues with a section jutting out from the underside as a guard, Tetsuo wrapped dark black cloth around the handle to protect his hands. The larger main part of the sword is comprised of the same material combination as the short sword, the result of some experimentation with steel forged from a meteorite and similarly incredibly durable steel Tetsuo had come across from a random vendor when he was passing through a smaller village years back. After finding the most skilled blacksmith he could in the lightning country they fashioned this masterpiece, its edges sharper then any other blade he'd seen before, possibly due ion part to the materials used in its forging, and the thousands of times the steel was folded on itself before it was completely forged.

Effect: When targeted by a physical attack, the wielder of this weapon may choose to use a Response Phase action to make a Weapon Attack. The unresolved attack targeting the wielder has its damage reduced by the total damage of the user’s Weapon Attack. If this would bring the incoming damage to zero (0), all effects of the incoming technique are negated as well. This effect may be activated once per battle and has a 5% chance to fail. If successful, the use rmay take no action in their main phase. The user may not preform Response Phase Techniques for three (3) turns after using this ability. This effect is considered a Response Phase Technique for all purposes.
Description: The adage if try hard at something eventually you will improve has some truth to it, at least for Hayashi Tetsuo it does, through his unwavering force of will and want to master swordsmanship at its most advanced levels and bridge the gap between swordsman and shinobi once and for all, he found that with enough physical training of his arms swinging his blades in the various exercises he did every time he woke up each morning, he had over time developed the ability to use his control of the wind element and his chakra to essentially stop an attack coming at him dead in its track because of the momentum of his blade carving through the nearby space in front of him diverting whatever attack was coming in his direction.

Effect: When determining the cost of this technique ‘x’ is considered to be the number of ‘Afterimage Clones’ created by the user and may never be greater than 5. ‘Afterimage Clones’ have 100 Health, 10% of the user’s Chakra and Stamina, and 50% of the user’s other statistics. ‘Afterimage Clones’ may not use techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique may choose to treat any Main Phase Action belonging to an ‘Afterimage Clone’ as if it was their Main Phase Action. (Using all of their own statistics, skills, equipment, etc) When using a clone’s Main Phase in this manner, the user’s attacks are treated as if they were Dynamic Traps with their conditions already met (with this technique being considered the trap for the purposes of diminishing 'to-hit' bonuses). The user must skip their next Main Phase action when this effect is used. This effect may be used 1 time per clone. This technique may be performed 2 times per battle.
Description: Even the most basic jutsu can be made powerful in the hands of a skilled practitioner. Zanzō Bunshin is a technique that is only available to the most adept users of the Body Flicker Technique, and not only must they be skilled in the usage of that technique, but they must have incredibly fast natural reaction times to be able to effectively perform it. Though this jutsu is essentially just a specific usage of Shunshin no Jutsu, it serves as a powerful trap for opponents. By moving at incredibly high speed, the user is capable of switching places between fixed points on the battlefield so rapidly that it appears as if multiple versions of the user are present on the battlefield. Any attack on these afterimages reveals them to be intangible, but because of how rapidly the user is capable of moving between them, they are able to make devastating sneak attacks by stopping at the points where an afterimage appeared to be an striking unexpectedly. Because these clones are created by the user's movement, they are also exceptionally useful for infiltration, allowing the user to appear in multiple places without alerting sensor ninja to their presence.

Description: The Shadow Clone Technique was created before the founding of the first ninja villages by Senju Tobirama. Before becoming the Second Hokage, he gained a reputation for using his clones on the battlefield with lethal efficiency. The great strength of the Shadow Clone technique is that it divides a user’s strength evenly, creating clones that are indistinguishable from their creator, even appearing to have their own working organs. Their strength is also a danger though, as a user who is not careful could easily divide their chakra too greatly, and weaken themselves to the point of illness or even death. Unlike some sturdier clones, Shadow Clones can be destroyed with relative ease, a strong hit transforming them into a harmless puff of smoke.

The sennin decried from his little rooftop. He wasn't being paid. He wasn't on contract to fight this giant creature. He'd just been planning to get drunk at a festival and this..thing had shown up. He was doing the duty given to his station. Bound to be one of the more powerful ninja on the scene of the attack, Kouta knew he'd had to put his own love of alcohol aside in order to save the goddamn day. But apparently he shouldn't have. He should've let the people hired to protect the festival do it instead. "I swear to god Akilah...probably sent me the invitation on purpose...wanted me to fight giant tooth-faced motherfuckers..."

 

The sennin was still muttering to himself as the other ninja summoned clones or whatever else was in their arsenal to prep for such a behemoth of an opponent. All Kouta could think about was the rain and the perilous footing he had with the slippery roof. It was a miracle that he noticed his lack of concentration at all and reigned in his darker impulses. "No Kouta. Got lives to save. Make Akilah pay me later for my trouble. Now you gotta take down this new fat thing....which I'm also naming Akilah." The sennin began to breathe more suitably, and, sensing no immediate danger, the ninja sat down cross-legged on the rooftop. It was a practice technique for centering ones mind, and so he closed his eyes and started to take deep, full-lung belly breaths. He'd center himself before all hell broke loose.

"Murder this Akilah....not the other Akilah....you can kill this Akilah....but not the kage Akilah...." he intoned to himself. While he did so, he reached in and plucked open the first of the Eight Celestial Gates. He barely even felt the strain of that gate in his life anymore, so simple it was to open up. He felt the chakra surge into his body as he breathed, planning to stay perfectly focused until the last possible second. He'd look cooler that way.

The tortured head of the beast wailed in agony as the belly gleefully giggled. There was a fresh source of meat. Each one giving off a wonderful aura of such strong chakra. The beast would nearly be satiated if it could consume all of them. Such a wonderful feast! However, he would have to make sure they weren't going to fight back. The belly inhaled a deep breath, sucking in all the debris that lay scattered around the area. When it had obtained as much air as it could it's belly mouth closed up, with it's stomach flared.

Jaegu stalked the creature so that he might get a bead on attack on it as he started to check off the hazards which he could see. The creature had a jagged maw in its midsection, its shoulders were littered with spikes along with its appendages. Although there was a head on top, there was no evidence that its where the mind or even sight is gained from. The one thing Jaegu did know about the creature, was that it had a wealth of Essence in its vessel; and he wanted all of it. Jaegu could already feel the primal urge to feed start to burn in his chest, he could feel his heart beat faster as adrenaline started to pump.

 

He wanted a taste

 

He wanted to consume

 

He wanted to devour

 

The only question was… how? A full assault? Quarter the limbs and take it? Can he remove its limbs? How tough is its hide? Can he take his shell as a prize?

 

It wasn’t until the sound of his heart stopped drowning out the sounds around him then that he heard his friend Akio spoken, which brought him back to his senses. Instead of the concerns of what he could see, he regulated it to his mind’s eye to keep track of the vessels around him. Some of his comrades also produced a clone of their own, the varying degrees of essence filled in for their locations in the map of the landscape committed to his mind.

 

‘We are Kiri…’ Jaegu stated as a matter of fact way, waiting for the clone to finish its hand seal sequence so that they could possibly freeze the beast in the spot that its in. ‘We always get our pay! To Glory! Feast!’

 

Jaegu took off at a sprint, keeping low to the ground as he charged a path directly towards the creature’s leg. He wanted to test its mettle and siphon some of its energy away. The beast was big, so he would simply take a bit here… a bit there… over and over again until its was nothing left but a empty vessel. Once he got in proximity, Jaegu formed his hand into a claw and took a swipe at its thigh, speeding through until he reached the other side by the back of the creature… it wasn’t as pretty as the front.

The disgusting razor toothed blob of a creature stood before the 4 shinobi, it was extremely slow moving, likely due to its rather massive size, and so far it had not done much other than just stand there with this menacing look on its face like they were all about to be his next meal or something. Tetsuo was growing bored of waiting for the others to either make clones or ready themselves for battle, a task he had finish minutes ago, so he figured he would at least take a few shots at the beast to see if there was anyway to analyze its movements, his black steel swords clutched in either of his hands were drawn and at the ready, and because of a potential counter move he could pull off after delivering a few strikes with the twin fangs, amassing enough of his chakra to be able to fire off the move at a moments notice, he would be giving his new jutsu that he had been working on perfecting for awhile now an official field test.

Charged towards the beast, zig zagging making his position harder for the creature to anticipate where the blows would be coming from, he sped around his target, the circle of dust that he was kicking up only aided him in concealing his bodies true location from the bursts of after images of his swiftly moving body jumped from one spot to another. Seeing his first potential opening, he broke the loop and cleaved with both of his swords in a spinning motion as he passed the abomination and continued his movements until he had a twenty meter gap between hismelf and the creature.

Tetsuo had his modified to have all black material and thread used throughout, being more of an assassin style shinobi, being able to blend in with the shadows was a handy trick when surprise attacking an enemy, the last thing he needed was a bright orange neon like sign saying where he is at all times. Usability over aesthetic.

The creature felt the body freeze skill come towards it. It opened it's stomach mouth and inhaled deeply. The chakra that made up the technique was inhaled and the stomach made a munching motion before licking it's lips hungrily. It devoured the chakra that came near it with as much gusto as one would expect from a creature of its size. There was another charge of Chakra in the form of a genjutsu that came near the beast, but it merely opened it's stomach mouth again and swallowed the chakra without effect. 
 

While it was still chewing the genjutsu, the beast was taken by surprise as a force of gravity came towards it. Unable to consume the incoming attack the beast was pushed backward slightly and thrown off its balance just enough for the swords of Tetsuo to slash into the beast's hide. From the blood that poured from the monster's two packs that looked like they once belonged to a shinobi fell from the beast. 

 

Angered by the onslaught, the beast took up both arms and crossed them before the mouth and reared back slightly. As it brought it's arms down, both the stomach and the skeletal head on top screamed in unison and with a volume that could shatter glass. The force that came from the beast rocketed out towards the enemies.

Response Phase

Witnessing her clones get smashed by the massive smelling jutsu that was just unleashed from the behemoths mouth pissed off the young Hatake. Not only were her clones hit, but she couldn’t avoid the massive wave of foul smelling breath that had debris mixed within. Trying to dodge the attack was in vein she was smashed with an old piece of lumber that had been half way digested. The sickening ooze that was left on her Jonin vest infuriated her to no end. Tane was now pissed and she was about to be out for blood. Her plan had been foiled on what she had planned with her clones, and now she couldn’t even help her team with them either.

"Akilah" weathered the attacks, most of them glancing off the tidy shell around its body. The other ninja hadn't stopped to look for opening. Kouta now saw why. Many of them were sliding around in the muck, or already had burns along their body from the rain that was pounding down. Kouta had been lucky. His spot on the roof wasn't covered in mud, and the water was sheeting away so quickly he hadn't yet felt the burn. But he needed his partners to work with him, and that meant that he needed to clear their obstacles for him. Preparation now would save him pain in the future.

 

So when Akilah launched its debris-filled attack, Kouta thrust a hand in front of him, feeling small chunks of rock glance off his fingers but otherwise leave him mostly untouched. Then, he made a handseal with the damaged hand, and began to swirl his other in a circular pattern. The debris began to turn into tiny grains of sand, using the monster's own attack against it. Finally, he rose from his seated position, shouting out to his newfound allies. "Listen! It's bout to get rough to see for a hot second. You leave punching big guy to me for now, and be ready for when the sand drops, okay?" Kouta reached up and tugged his goggles over his face with what he hoped was a cool-guy smile. He flashed a few more handseals before slapping the roof. The force of his hand on the roof felt like a gunshot.

 

At the same time, the atomized debris pulled tight, swirling into a small tornado of wind and rock. The Sandstorm lashed out and began to cover the entire battlefield in an ankle-deep coating of sand. The other ninja might be hampered by such a tactic. But Kouta? Kouta could right through his own jutsu, and with sand under his feet? Well he felt faster than ever. "You're next bigmouth!" he yelled triumphantly. Then, nodding once at the other ninja, Kouta leapt from the rooftops like a shot, flinging and open palmed strike directly at the big things skull-like head. He aimed to crush bone and kill it, but distracting it for a bit would be nice, too.

The Second Gate is the other gate located within the brain. This gate limits the production of endorphins and keeps the heart-rate in check. Releasing this gate floods the body with endorphins, relieving feelings of pain and fatigue, despite the continual breakdown of the muscles. An increased heart-rate allows oxygen to reach the muscles more quickly, preventing oxygen debt and keeping lactic acid from building up within the muscle tissue.

The opening salvo for Jaegu went well. he could feel the hit against the monster as well as the Essence starting to feel his body. His eyes started to glow as he started to feel it work through his body, reflecting in the red lenses of his mask. Other attacks were landing, but the creature felt like hitting the side of a mountain, and from his other senses, the creature had energy to spare. Jaegu coughed, the poison rain still falling, well, momentarily.

 

Jaegu reached and unsheathed his sword on his back, an ornate medium sized cleaver. Once he done this though, everything started to change. The poison rain cleared, but then the winds picked up and sand was everywhere. Sand in his boots, sand in his top, the wells of his mask and ventilation areas also filled with sand. At the same time, the beast expelled a large force of air.

 

He cursed under his breath as the air slammed into both Jaegu and his clone. He was happy that he conjured a steel one, it was sturdy enough to take the damage, but for how long? Rushing forward, Jaegu took a few slashes in the limited visibility now as the wind picked up.

As the creature bellowed and swung its fists the four shinobi were laying the framework for their counter attack as they evaded the various debris coming at them, and then like it had a few minutes before it drew in a very large breath, its stomach puffing out, and then this time with way more force behind it, the creature roared with such ferocity that it sent everything within a twenty foot radius in front of the creature flying backwards. Wooden boards, concrete that had broken off, metal and other stuff from the ground covered the area, and then to get rid of the poisonous acidic rain that had been a pain in the ass from the start of the fight thanks to a clever use of a sand technique, Tetsuo was a bit relieved that he no longer had to feel bits of his skin on fire, though the trade off was his eyes burning as bits of sand found their way into his eye socket irritating and inflaming them, he rubbed his fists against them trying to get it out, but sand just kept burning his eyes, if they were going to be blinded by this shit, the monster may as well feel the burn too. "Guys!! Look away, I'm gonna hit it with a flash bomb, THREE...TWO...OONE." 

 

Tetsuo reached into his vest compartment where he had his flash bombs, and fished one out, quickly lobbing the sword in his hand to the other for a brief moment as he threw the flash bomb right at the creatures feet, exploding in a shower of white sparks. The popping sound of the explosive igniting was a hint to get your eyes closed, he hoped the other 3 managed to avoid staring into the blast when it went off, hopefully they heard his warning. His vision was still a bit too hazed and messed up to be accurate with any kind of attack, he was not only getting a bit of double vision, but it was like his field of view was moving back and forth like it was rocking against the waves of an ocean or something, almost a dizzying feeling. Gakiyume reached out and touched his mind, he was basically making his chakra readily available, knowing that Tetsuo was about to need to tap into his strength to give them an edge in this fight, 'You ready G?'

 

'Stop calling me G you brat, its Gakiyume,, at least say it right after I had the sense to tell you my real name. Dick.'

 

'Sheesh calm down man, alright alright Please gakiyume can you get some of your chakra ready so i can cut this things fuckin head off?'

 

'....was that so difficult?'

 

Tetsuos body swelled with violet dark purple energy, as Gakiyumes chakra mixed with his own making him feel like he had just been injected with speed, his blood felt like wildfire moving through his veins, it had been awhile since he had cloaked, he had missed this feeling quite a bit. Gathering a bit of his chakra he formed a barrier in front of himself by channeling his chakra into his spikey black hair, it grew outwards and solidified enough to pierce skin, creating a protective barrier around himself for whatever was about to come, it felt like there was supposed to be something.

Effect: This technique is used in the Main Phase. This technique creates a barrier with 500 Health. If a Barrier created by this technique is dealt close-range Physical Damage, the source of that attack receives the status effect 'Bleeding: 100' for one (1) turn. Small Weapon attacks whose base damage is below 30 deal 0 Total Damage to Barriers created by this technique. This technique may be used twice per battle.

Description: Created as a non-elemental defense, the Needle Jizō is a potent deterrent technique. After infusing their hair with chakra, the user's hair will rapidly grow and harden while wrapping about the user, shielding them in a spiked barrier whose durability is known to rival steel's. Though the technique leaves its user immobile, they are rendered virtually impervious to most basic shinobi weaponry while deterring against more potent attacks due to the barrier's ability to spray its attacks with razor-sharp hair-needles.

Description: An over-vest worn by Shinobi of the Chunnin rank. Tetsuo had his modified to have all black material and thread used throughout, being more of an assassin style shinobi, being able to blend in with the shadows was a handy trick when surprise attacking an enemy, the last thing he needed was a bright orange neon like sign saying where he is at all times. Usability over aesthetic.

The lumbering bulk of the monstrous creature took the brunt of the attacks thrown at it, sloughing off layers of rotted, purifying flesh as what remained behind sizzled and crackled when the lightning blast slowly cooked the rotting meat. It didn't seem to mind too much, though the rippling impact of the first two attacks literally shook the beast's form and sent flecks of blackened flesh and chunks of spoiled fat flying off in response to the shock.

As the sand clouded the area, the poisonous clouds rolling above were kept at bay, for now. The high winds and thick sand cut vision down to a minimum, but the top layer of the storm absorbed the poison ere it reached the ground, casting it away. This wouldn't last forever, the storm would abate sooner or later, and the venom would rain from the heavens once more, but for now no doubt the brave heroes found their brief respite much needed.

 

Unfortunately, despite it's size and sluggish movements, the storm proved too much for many of the defenders, who couldn't land a blow while they shielded their eyes from the raging storm around them. Gingerly, the beast ran its wicked claws through the thick, coagulated mess that poured forth from its wounds, the black tar like substance coating it like treacle. Whatever plans it had, the heroes were spared for now, but how long would that last? With a sickened gurgle almost resembling a malevolent laugh, the beast dragged its oozing form ever closer to its next meal.
